Although her priorities were not in perfect order, Gloria thought it wasworth it since her boyfriend Brad was the most popular boy in school. She oftenwondered why he liked her. Gloria never thought she was ugly but never thoughtof herself as pretty either. Almost every boy in school had a crush on her,but she never really knew because she was painfully shy and only began attendingthis school in the middle her sophomore year. However, Brad seemed to be infatuatedwith her oriental look and was able to get her to open up.
After a couple weeks of dating, Brad tried to convince Gloria to have sex,but she told him she needed time. Brad said he understood and would wait forher. Things were going as well as she could have hoped. As a result, Gloriabegan to gain more confidence and think of herself as more attractive.
