Arthur Hayden was probably one of worlds least ambitious people. Most people who hear his life would feel that he came out better considering he lost both his parents at the age of 10 with no living relatives he got in to foster care kept changing from family to family till he was 18. And since his parents and grandparents in their respective will made sure he only got his inheritance after he was 21.
If you ask him he would say except for the inheritance his life was not so unfortunate. His foster parents were all good people none of the creeps you read about in the news. All the moving around was usually caused by financial situations or the foster parents getting their own children or one of the parents death or they moving to another country. He is still in a good relationship with all his foster families.
Well when he reached 18 he had to leave foster care. And even through this then foster care parents were willing to pay for his college he didn't want to cause them any trouble so he joined the army. Stated for the minimum enlistment time and got out. His inheritance did not make him a millionaire but he thought he had enough not to worry. The story starts from here a turning point in his life which he was starting to get bored of.
One of his officers who he was closes with. He was now working as a private contractor suddenly called him one night asking if he were fit and that he needed a favor from him. Arthur agreed his life was a bit to boring at the time any way.
The favor was that he needed Arthur to pose as a marine, some rich woman had requested an escort of marines to some island of the cost of Egypt. Something about exploring underwater temples. The contract was for 20 marine and one got in to an accident so Arthur was to replace him, his friend reassured him it was probably nothing and Egypt was not really a hot zone so Arthur went to Canada where he met the team and their client. Her name was Sara Afton. She was one of the most beautiful woman Arthur had ever seen in his life if the reactions of the other team members were anything they thought so too. She had booked a private plane for us there was a total of 30 people in the team including Arthur. The 19 marines Arthur himself ,the client and 2 other women and 7 other guys those guys were supposedly archaeologist and technicians who opporate so sophisticated devices which were to be used in the site.
One they landed they went by a boat to the Island the it got total tomb rider sihit strom. Once they got in to the temple which looked like small pyramid about 5 meters tall fully hidden by vegetation. Once all of them entered the entrance got sealed which they didn't notice and traps started at first they were very easyones and quite a few broken traps which were very easy to clear. They were going underground and the path started widening to a big hall way and they realised they couldn't find the way they came in and as in many horror movies the group moved forward the traps got deadly and in one of the instance Arthur and one of the professors got separated from the group they found increptions of the legend of genie. But still he continued on with the help of the professors Arthur reached the goal which Sara had talked about it was a Court room and Arthur and the professors had got to it through a secret passage apparently. It seemed the other teem had already arrived and Arthur tried to shout but he noticed that all of the tecs were lying in a bloody pool clearly shot and also there were only 15 of the marines left and one of them was holding Sara by her hair hair her shirt completely torn face bloody it was clear the guy had been beating her up. Then Arthur heard the guy tell the others " we are going to take all the gold for ourselves and kill this bitch". Arthur had not known these guys so he concluded that they were trying to have the gold for themselves and killing everyone that got in their way. Arthur was in a perfect spot near a pillar and they had no cover so he let his ak on the lot and everyone of them were dead in a few seconds they didn't think they would be shot from this side and most of them were facing away from Arthur. The professor rushed to Sara to help her. Arthur was a bit overwhelmed because this was the first time he had killed any person. And suddenly he heard a shot and see the professor fall. Sara stood all bloody and with a gun in her hands and before he could react she pointed the gun at him and pulled the trigger. But lucky for Arthur she was empty before she could reach for something else Arthur shot near her legs and shouted "you are going to start talking or I am killing you".
Before she could say any thing they here whooshing sounds and some ominous music. And see smoke rise from the heep of gold coins and other treasure. From the smoke formed a beautiful female body floating above the treasure. Arthur turns the gun towards her but the gun disappeared. And the smoke lady starts to talk " well since both of you have completed your human sacrifice you don't need to fight and let me clean you guys up and change the place so you can decide on your wishes With a clear mind." Before they could say any thing the three of them were teleported to an another room with big sofas with lot of cushion. All Arthur could say was" what the fuck is going on here". The smoke lady replies " ah you didn't known I am what you call a genie this woman here wants to make a wish so she came here to seeak my presence you need 7 human sacrifice since both of you qualified each of you receive one wish, boons and bane. Arthur could barely process this and suddenly he hears Sara from his side say I have decided on my wishes. It shocked Arthur and the realization hit him that she had killed all the people and the marines were only beating her because of that and that he had killed them all with out understanding anything. The Genie replays " sorry dear Arthur here completed the sacrifice first hence he gets to go first." And both of them look at you and the genie says " from the way you look you don't seem like you would be thinking clearly so let me clear your mind sport, your a special one Arthur you are the only second person to be in my presence with out trying to or knowing what I am and also the the person who made the largest sacrifice you gave me 15 lives" once she stops talking Arthur feels he could think clearly at least as clearly he would be Abel to he remembers everything but now he doesn't bother him much. And the Genie starts talking again explaining the rules.
The wishes will not affect other people who have wissed on a genie unless specified as a separately.
You can't wish to destroy the human race.
You can't wish to stop the Genie from granting wishes.
Each person gets one wish and a bane and the boons the boon and the bane are decided by the Genie.And she ended it by saying "the banes are just the universe way of making sure one person's selfish wishes don't destroy the whole world so are you ready to make a wish."
Arthur thought long and hard and felt like if he asked for some powers and stuf the bane would be very bad for him and also his mind working clearly he could access all his memory and could't decide on a paticular one the more he think the more he gets worried about the bane. So for some reason he decided to go with a wish that's super complex that even Arthur himself didn't understand this was because Arthur kinda snapped he decided he didn't care so atleast he could try a wieard complex wish. The wish was.
" except females humans that I find attractive and people I considered as family every one else will think me to be a person that could amount to nothing and they would have a positive narcissistic I am so kind and generous approach of showing of with me".
This wish came to him because he remembered one of his foster parent's brother who was a total narcissist who would always give gifts and other stuf to his "less fortunate sibling" you kind of irritated you but he always got the best presents he even agree to pay for Arthur's college and a good on at the all the while boosting about how his own son was going to med school in scholarship. Arthur thought If when they leave the place and the dead marines are investigated he really want people to think he couldn't do something like that.
And the Genie just said "it's done. And next your turn "
Arthur was quite curious what Sara was going to wish for but he found her looking at him he just notices the all the wounds on her face is gone and she was dressed in a clean Summer dress. She has an angry look on her face and looks at Arthur and says " that's your wish". Arthur kind of field embarrassed that it was probably a weird and silly wish but remembered that she killed all the people and replies " it is better than what killers like you would want"
And Sara doesn't react to that and faces the Genie and starts to tell her wish. It starts with a small from voice saying all men will be incapable of being in an affair and will not thing sexual about women in a relationship or women whom they are not in a relationship with. They will find being related to infidelity of any kind repulsive and she kept going using different words but the concept was she didn't want guys to cheat on their girlfriends or wives. Since Arthur has never been in a relationship nor has he been interested in it much until very recently he was confused and once she stopped the Genie said your wishes are granted as for your boons and banes well you will find them as you go through your life.
And she also says so only Arthur can hear that those who die in side the temple gets erased from existence. And she continues to the both of them that she was also erasing all memories related to how to reach this place and the temple layout and so asks were they want to be teleported to.
