As you walk through the door you were told to, what was inside wasn't exactly what you expected. So enraptured, you didn't even notice the door closing behind you. The place was the size of a ballroom, and actually, it really did have a dance floor right in the middle. Everywhere you looked, it was as though someone took all the fancy furniture from every era of humanity and mashed them all together.
There were beanbag chairs of various sizes piled next to what seemed like a Victorian-era sofa, and a gaudy 60s style chair beside a skeeball table. On the walls were paintings, some fancy, some basic, some were even just those cheesy motivational posters. On one there was even, oh god... Nope, not even going to get anywhere near those. They don't exist, and that's the end of that.
As you slowly walk around the room, you think back to just a few short weeks ago, when an e-mail caught your eye. Honestly, on any other day you probably would have simply deleted it as spam. An all-expenses paid blah blah blah? Sure, yea, whatever. It didn't ask for any money though, didn't ask for any information, not even your name. It did want him to read through some really long drawn-out paper, like your typical user agreement. Who actually reads those though? You simply clicked 'I agree', and that was that. It didn't take you to any website or anything, just a follow-up confirmation email thanking you for considering their offer.
Exactly one week later, however, you received another email. Again, normally something you would ignore, but it was from the same address as the first. Okay, let's be totally honest here, you just had nothing better to do. At first it seemed your typical 'you've won!' kind of spam, but after reading it you found yourself convinced otherwise. The email said that you should expect a visit within a few days, meaning someone was coming to see you in person.
Sure enough though, the very next day there was a knock on your door, behind it standing several very professional looking people. Of course, you open the door for them, and after a quick greeting they show you police badges from the two cops with them, and official-looking papers from two others that supposedly make them government officials. What, it's not like you know what official government employee paperwork actually looks like.
So you invite them in, because really, at this point if this was a trap you aren't getting away anyways. Everything after that was like a whirlwind, and as everyone took a seat in the living room, the two of them that hadn't shown any identification yet finally spoke.
