November 1984, Chicago, Illinois

The week before Thanksgiving flew by, both at work and at school.

By Friday, Sensei Jim was satisfied that I was ready to rejoin the class, which I would do on Saturday morning. I arranged with Wen, George, and Jorge that I’d pick them up just before lunch on Saturday. Sofia had told me that both of her friends would be at the house on Friday evening, but would spend the first night in the guest rooms because Elyse and Kara weren’t leaving until Saturday after lunch.

When I arrived home, Sofia introduced me to Leila and Alejandra, who were both dark-haired beauties. They joined us for dinner and told us a bit about their backgrounds. Both were pre-med, and were in the US to get their medical degrees before going back to their own countries - Turkey for Leila and Argentina for Alejandra. Both girls seemed quite nice, and both spoke excellent English, though each had a distinct accent.

On Saturday morning after Penny and I had our programming session, I went to the dojo for my first group class in nearly a year. It felt good to be back, but it made me think of Stephie, and reminded me that I missed her. I wasn’t talking to her as much as I liked, either, and I decided to rectify that right after lunch. We did have a bit to talk about, because Bill Elliott had won a couple more races in October - one at Charlotte and one at Rockingham.

When I arrived home from karate, I showered, dressed, and drove to IIT to pick up my friends. George and Wen sat in the back, and Jorge sat up front. All three told me that they were looking forward to Thursday and were really grateful that I had asked them to stay the week. I told them that the rooms weren’t quite ready, but that everything would be set once my housemates headed for their respective homes.

At home, we had lunch and I said goodbye to Kara and Elyse who were driving to Ohio together. A few minutes later, Dave arrived to pick up Julia who was going to Ohio with him. Cindi and Katy left shortly after that, so that Cindi could drop Katy at the airport and then head to Madison.

After everyone had left, we moved Alejandra and Leila to Elyse and Kara’s room, and Wen and George put their things in the guest rooms. The original plan had been for Jorge to use Cindi’s bed, but Sofia was still going to be in the room because Bethany was visiting for a few days, so Cindi had arranged with Julia for Jorge to use Julia’s room. When everyone was settled, I went to my office to call Stephie.

We had a good talk, catching up on things, and talking about NASCAR. She asked if I’d seen my copy of Winston Cup Scene or if I’d watched the race on WTBS on Sunday and I told her no.

“Then you probably don’t know what happened. Bill run second in the Atlanta race, but a new driver named Terry Schoonover got killed in a nasty crash.”

“Damn!” I said. “He just had his first race the week before at Rockingham. What happened?”

“Not totally sure. On the TV you could see he’d hit the wall really hard, but you didn’t see that part of the wreck. Then he hit the dirt embankment they use to keep the cars from running into the infield really hard. They had to cut him out of the car like they did Emily, then they took him in a chopper to the hospital. He didn’t make it. Severe head injuries.”

“Shit. Tomorrow’s the last race, right?”

“Yeah, at Riverside. I assume that the Scene has had the rumors about them closing that track.”

“Which sucks majorly since that’s where Bill won his first race! And where I saw my first race! The standings seemed locked in, though. Looks like Labonte, Gant, and Bill, in that order.”

“Yeah, then Earnhardt and Jaws. Bill’s looking pretty good. I think next year he’s going to go on a tear!”

“I hope we’ll see him win at ‘Dega and Michigan!”

“We? You invitin’ me to the race in Michigan?” she giggled.

“You know what I meant! Speaking of that, how’s Emily?”

“Completely recovered. The headaches finally went away. Fortunately, she could manage with aspirin, and they made some allowances with her schoolwork. She’s havin’ to catch up a bit now, but she’ll graduate on time. She was accepted at The University of Alabama. And it won’t cost her nuthin’ in the end.”

“Oh? Why is that?”

“A partial scholarship from ‘Bama, and she finally negotiated a settlement with the insurance company. She got enough to cover all four years of school, easily.”

“I’m glad to hear that. Is she dating?”

“Worried you can’t get your Southern nookie next summer?” Stephie teased.

“No, just curious.”

“She’s got a guy she’s sweet on. He’s twenty-two, and she met him at UA when she went to check out the campus. I may have to find another cousin for you!”

I chuckled, “By then, I might be married, Peaches.”

“Bring your harem with you. You’d have to get a hotel room since my mom would have a fit!”

“That she would!” I laughed. “Tell Emily I said ‘hello’ and say ‘hi’ to Red for me as well.”

“I will. By the way, he had his meeting with Alan Kulwicki.”

“How’d that go?”

“For a Yankee, Kulwicki is smart. He hired Jason to work on his pit crew at all his races in the South. If things go well, Kulwicki will move down South after the first season, and then Jason will hopefully have a full-time job on the race team.”

“Damn! That’s awesome! Looks like you have a lifetime of NASCAR ahead of you!”

“Yep. Red says this guy is good enough to move up right quick, so I may see you in Michigan in a couple of years!”

“Cool. Just keep me posted.”

“The only downside will be if the shop ends up in North Carolina near the other ones. I might be apart from Red for a time.”

“You’ll do fine, Peaches,” I said, trying to reassure her.

We talked for a few more minutes, and then said our goodbyes. Bethany was sitting with Sofia when I came out of my office. I hugged them and then the three of us went to Jewel so that I could buy everything that we needed for Thursday. We loaded up the cart with a fresh turkey and everything else we needed, as well as a few things that Sofia and Bethany wanted to have on hand. We stopped at the liquor store on the way home so that I could restock the two bars.

When we arrived home, we put everything away and then Sofia, Bethany, and I sat in ‘Indian’ room with tea to chat. The rest of our friends were hanging out together in the basement playing pool. I listened to Sofia and Bethany as they talked about the medical profession and what they hoped to do with their careers.

For dinner I made homemade deep dish pizza, and after dinner, everyone went up to the attic room to relax. We put on one of Dave’s mix tapes. I’d asked him about the labeling and he’d said they were in order, from one to eight, and got progressively more suggestive as you moved through them. I put in tape one. It had a fair mix of songs, but not too many were slow. I watched for quite some time as Jorge gave dance lessons to George, Leila, and Alejandra.

“Are you going to dance?” Wen asked me.

“I’d love to dance with you,” I said with a smile.

We went out onto the floor and danced to a few moderately paced tunes, and then If Ever You’re In My Arms Again by Peabo Bryson came on and Wen stepped close. I put my arms around her and she rested her head on my chest. I saw Bethany smirk and roll her eyes.

“Is that your girlfriend?” Wen asked. “The girl from Wisconsin?”

“I don’t have a steady girlfriend, but she’s my best friend. She has been since Junior High.”

“But I’ve seen you with her when she’s here,” Wen said.

“Yes. And you’ve seen me with Kara and Sofia, too. And I’ve kissed you.”

“So you’re just like dating? Playing the field?”

“Something like that,” I said. “I’m not committed to anyone at this point, and I don’t want to be.”

“I see,” she said.

We finished the dance and I went back to sit with Bethany.

“I see the China doll is making her play,” Bethany whispered carefully.

“She’s been very careful to keep things from progressing.”

“In my professional opinion, she’s inviting you to make the next move. If you do, she’s all yours!” Bethany said quietly.

“I’m not sure that’s the best idea,” I said. “I just had a situation with one of the twins experiencing regret.”

“You had clear consent?” Bethany asked.

“I was screwing her sister and she came into the room, rubbed herself to orgasm, and then willingly got into bed with us.”

Bethany laughed, “That would be clear consent. Are you upset by it?”

“Only from the standpoint of wondering if I’m falling back into old patterns.”

“We can talk later. Dance with Sofia!” Bethany suggested.

I got up and walked over to Sofia, took her hand, and we danced to five songs, two of which were fairly slow. She nestled herself tight in my arms for those two songs, resting her head on my shoulder. Holding her in my arms made me wonder how she was holding up after having been in Chicago nearly four months.

“How are you doing?” I asked in Swedish.

Sofia lifted her head from my shoulder and looked into my eyes, “OK. I’m adjusting pretty well to living in the US and to school. And I guess I’m coming to terms with who you are.”

“You’ve been talking to Elyse and Kara.”

“Yes,” she confirmed. “And to the other girls and Bethany. I think I told you before that I didn’t realize just how open you were with your relationships.”

“Yes. And I know it bothers you.”

“It does, but not as much now that the shock has worn off. You aren’t going to change, are you?”

“If you’ve talked to the girls you know what my plans are, at least with Elyse and Jennifer.”

“I do. My conversations with Elyse have been enlightening. It seems she thinks that, at least for now, you staying balanced and on an even keel means occasional dalliances, as she called them. But she did say you are more circumspect in who you have sex with. I suppose that’s something.”

“I am. There have been a couple of new girls, and there will probably be a few more before I finally decide what to do.”

“Will you answer a question? The whole truth?” Sofia asked.

“Sure,” I agreed.

“Whoever ends up with you will have to accept that you aren’t going to be faithful, won’t they?”

“That’s complicated. Let’s say, for the sake of argument, that I ask you to marry me next summer. It’s still three years before Elyse wants to get pregnant and four or five before Jennifer does. That makes it difficult for me to be faithful, at least in the way you mean.”

“I guess that’s clear enough. Whoever wants you has to accept at least those two girls, at least for a time.”

“Yes. There’s your honest answer.”

She sighed, “I knew that was going to be the answer. I guess I’ve always known. It’s funny, I don’t need the piece of paper, like we talked about in Sweden five years ago, but I did expect a monogamous relationship. Then I broke that rule myself. I know I’ve said this before, but I put myself in a situation where the only way I can have what I want is to accept that you’re, at least to some extent, always going to have other girls.”

“Probably so. Can you accept that?” I asked.

“I don’t know,” Sofia sighed. “Maybe. Maybe not. You aren’t deciding this week, right?”

“No way! Once I graduate and get the business off the ground, I’ll probably be ready to make up my mind. The thing is, knowing me, a lot can change before next August. And that’s what concerns me.”

“Your life can be quite crazy. I guess I just have to sign-up for crazy if I want you!”

“That does seem to be the consensus opinion!” I chuckled.

When we finished our dance, Sofia went to sit by Bethany. I poured myself some bourbon and poured vodka for Alejandra. I offered Leila a drink but she said she just wanted a 7-Up, so I got her one from the fridge. Jorge and George were dancing up a storm, looking almost as good as he and Cindi did.

“This is a wonderful house,” Alejandra said. “Sofia’s so lucky to have met you in Sweden.”

“I agree,” Leila said. “This is a very nice place. I hear you have six girls living here with you.”

I smiled, “Yes! It started with just Elyse who shared a two-bedroom apartment with me during Freshman year. Then I bought this house at the end of Sophomore year and our friends decided to move in. Jackie moved out, and then Kara and Sofia moved in this year. At the end of the year, things will shuffle a bit because of graduations and because my sister will be here to go to college.”

“And you have parties on Saturday nights?” Leila asked. “We could come?”

“Sure. If you have a way to get here. And we can find places for you to sleep if need be,” I said.

Alejandra put her hand lightly on my arm and said, “I’m sure! That sounds like fun!”

“Show up any time. The only Saturday we won’t have the party is the one before finals, which is December 15th. The Saturday following will be our end-of-the-semester bash.”

Alejandra squeezed my arm, “I’m looking forward to it.”

“Would you like to dance?” I asked, just as a slow song started.

“Sure!” she said.

I led her to the dance floor and she simply melted into my arms and we danced to Making Love Out Of Nothing At All by Air Supply. She felt really good, and she wasn’t shy about pressing tightly against me. She was about my height, had a nice, firm body with smallish breasts, and long black hair that reached almost to her waist. Between her hand on my arm before and the movement of her body against me, I knew that I could have her if I wanted her. I thought back to Pete asking me what it was about me and suppressed a chuckle. The song finished and we broke our close embrace, and went back to the bar where Leila was standing.

“I’ll take the next slow song!” Leila said.

It was three songs later when True by Spandau Ballet came on and I took Leila’s hand and led her out to dance. Just as Alejandra did, she melted into my arms. Leila was about 5’6”, with long, curly black hair and a curvy build, though not nearly as well-endowed as Cindi. She smelled wonderful. Whatever perfume she wore complemented her perfectly and was intoxicating. Once again, I got the distinct impression that she was available as well.

We finished our dance and walked back to the bar. I poured myself a drink and told the girls that I was going to go downstairs because I wanted to get some fresh air as well as smoke my pipe. As I left, I noticed them walk over to where Sofia was and I saw Bethany get up to follow me. I got my pipe, filled it with tobacco, and took the box of wooden matches with me to the back yard, where Bethany joined me.

We’d both put on light jackets since the temperature was in the upper 30’s, but having lived in Chicago for three years, I was used to it, and Madison was even colder during the winter so Bethany was used to it as well. I lit my pipe and took a couple of drags from it, then sat down in one of the chairs by the table, setting down my glass.

“You looked like you were enjoying yourself!” Bethany said.

“Can I ask you a question?” I said, and took a long drag from my pipe.

“Sure.”

I blew the smoke out slowly.

“What is it about me? I am absolutely sure I could have Wen, Alejandra, and Leila if I wanted. I just don’t get it. Pete and I joked about it. He said he didn’t understand given he was bigger, stronger, better looking, and wore ties!” I chuckled.

“I guess it depends on the girl. I think your new friends, the pre-med students Sofia brought, are enamored by your house. You are decent looking, and I’ve told you about your eyes for years. They are positively dreamy. You’re also generous, almost to a fault, a real sweetheart, very confident, and you are the most non-threatening guy I’ve ever met.”

“That’s an interesting analysis. There’s a girl, Callie, who comes here on Saturdays but tries to avoid any interaction with me. Elyse says that she’s afraid that if she talks to me, her hymen is toast.”

Bethany laughed, “That’s not a threat! That’s her brain telling her not to do something she’ll regret!”

“But why would she even think that?” I asked.

“You give off a vibe that basically says that you’ll ravish any woman who wants you, and she’ll be happier for it. Heck, I’ve seen how it affects Melanie’s mom!”

“That would have been the biggest mistake of my short life,” I said.

“Yes it would have. Well, maybe short of deflowering a KGB Colonel’s daughter!” she giggled. “Seriously, if you put the entire package together, you are a confident, successful, sweet, generous guy. Girls see that. In adults, it generates trust. Think about how all the adults in your life treat you. Even Kara’s dad trusted you until he discovered that his little girl was no longer pure as new-fallen snow. Becky’s dad trusted you and still trusts you, from what you’ve said. Your Russian diplomat friend trusts you with his daughter, for Pete’s sake!

A WellLived Life Book 8 StephieChapter 75 Things to be Thankful For

November, 1983, Chicago, Illinois The week before Thanksgiving break flew by. It was pretty much the usual - class, studying, karate, Penny’s computer lessons, my usual Thursday afternoon with Anala, and Elyse and Jackie alternating nights with me. By 6:00pm on Friday evening, only Katy, Stephie, and I were left at the house. Stephie offered to come with us to Midway so the three of us left just before 7:00pm. At Midway, we waited with Katy until she boarded her 8:30pm flight, then headed...

A WellLived Life Book 9 AnalaChapter 73 A Lot to Be Thankful For Part IV

November 1984, Chicago, Illinois When Leila and I had dressed, she grabbed me and hugged me tightly. “Thank you,” she said. “I should thank you!” I answered. “That was out of this world!” “You are only my third lover. The first was my uncle, and I was with him several times over the course of two years. Then, one boy at Loyola, but in the end, he was too rough. You were perfect. You wouldn’t happen to have a friend at Loyola, would you?” I chuckled, “I have lots of friends. I don’t know...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 9 A Trip to Milford Part I

September 1981, Milford, Ohio Friday was routine until lunchtime. Afternoon classes had been canceled for both Elyse and me because of the Labor Day weekend, so I drove back to the apartment instead of having lunch on campus. Elyse and I packed our overnight bags and waited for Kathy and Bethany, who arrived as planned, and we left Chicago just before 4:00pm. It was my goal to make the trip to Milford in just under five and a half hours, which I could do if we grabbed fast food on the way...

May 18, 1994, Chicago, Illinois “Who the fuck is Anthony Cicilioni?” Elyse asked. I didn’t have much choice but to tell her, and once I did, she’d know way more than she should. But I didn’t see a way around it. “Joyce’s brother-in-law. He’s married to Connie.” “Joyce? No! Please tell me that we’re not fucking living The Firm!” I smiled, “We aren’t. All of Joyce’s businesses and investments are completely legit.” “But your mentor, the Don, sure as heck wasn’t, was he?” “No.” “Jesus,...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 9 KamiChapter 13 California Dreaming

October 10, 1995, Los Angeles, California I’d taken a mid-afternoon flight and arrived at the InterContinental Hotel just after 6:00pm. I checked into my suite, took a quick shower, then walked to California Plaza to get a salad for dinner. I got it ‘to go’ and sat at a table near the large fountain so I could watch the cool water show. “Hi!” a familiar voice called from behind me. I chuckled, and turned, “Hi, Jasmine! Join me?” “Sure!” “I didn’t expect to see you until tomorrow.” “I...

May 15, 1992, Glencoe, Illinois “Join me in my study, if you would,” Noel Spurgeon said when we finished our dessert. It had been an interesting evening. Samantha and I had talked for a bit before we’d been summoned to dinner. The meal had been prepared by a chef and was served by a white-coated young man. Again, this was a far cry from Lois at the van Hoeks’ house. What wasn’t a far cry was the fact that I was having dinner with a man who knew I was going to be sleeping with his daughter...

November, 1982, Chicago, Illinois On the Tuesday following Halloween, when I got to the Sig Ep house, I invited Dave and Cindi to join Stephie, Elyse, Eduardo, and me for a dinner party on Friday. They agreed and when Julia arrived, the three of us went upstairs to work on our next project. So far, we had solid A’s on all of our projects. For the next two weeks, we’d be building a 4-bit adder circuit, which was the most complex thing we’d done so far. When we finished, Julia asked me to...

November 21, 1990, Chicago, Illinois “Do we have everything set for the Krajicks?” Kara asked as we sat in the ‘Indian’ room waiting on our guests. “I think so,” I replied. “The spare room upstairs is set up for Harry and Nora, and the guest rooms are set up for Bethany and Ed. Ed will move upstairs after his parents go home. Nicholas is going to sleep in Jesse’s room at Jesse’s request.” “He really wants to take care of Nicholas, doesn’t he?” “He certainly does.” “Is there anything we...

A WellLived Life Book 7 Kara IIChapter 38 Transformations Part II

November, 1982, Chicago, Illinois I checked my watch and felt I had enough time. We pulled the bed out and this time we made love the conventional way. After she had three good orgasms, I filled the rubber with cum. We were on a co-ed floor, so Julia lent me a large towel and I went to the guys’ showers to wash up while she did the same in the girls’ showers. We met back in her room, dressed, hugged and kissed and I headed to The Bog for a quick bite before my afternoon class. After class, I...

Chapter 10 A Swingers Party Innuendo and Lancelot Enters My Camelot

The news media, movies, TV programs, even education in the 1970’s suddenly shifted from omission’s silence to instructor mode about sex to catch up for its past suppression. The new mantra was, “Sex isn’t just for procreation, it’s for pleasure, a casual fun like chewing gum.”Suddenly it was free love, sex on demand, whatever floats your boat.  With “the pill” procreation became an afterthought, something put off until later in life. Why get married after Woodstock? Now it was love boat...

June 23, 1994, Oguni, Yamagata Prefecture, Japan My first week in Japan flew by, and a routine developed. Sakurako would wake me; I’d exercise and run, then shower and have breakfast, and share tea with Sakurako. After breakfast, I’d meditate, and then have my training session. After lunch, I’d work in the garden, or, as I had this day, wash the floors in the house. Hiroshi would accompany me back to the cottage and we’d talk while I washed up and dressed for dinner. February 4, 1989, Chicago, Illinois All through breakfast and karate, I thought about my conversation with Jorge. June 1977 When I got home, I grabbed a Coke and some chips and went right to my room. I didn’t think I could deal with my parents or Jeff or Stephanie. I just needed to be by myself. That wouldn’t seem odd to anyone, because I often went to my room to read. In addition, I now had the TV I’d received for my birthday. I flipped it on to WXIX Channel 19 and reruns of Gilligan’s Island and Green Acres played in the background while I read. I had to get my mind clear for the final exams that...

August 1981, Chicago, Illinois On Sunday morning, I made my usual call to Karin. I described everything in the apartment and all the things I’d done during the week, including the reception. July, 1983, Chicago, Illinois I woke up early on the First of July, because my body clock was still set to Swedish time. The flight back had been long but uneventful, and I was happy that the businessman in the seat next to me hadn’t wanted to talk. I read, wrote some longhand journal entries, ate, and generally relaxed while the plane zipped over the Atlantic. July, 1983, Chicago, Illinois After Rosie left, I stripped the sheets from my bed, as well as the cover of the duvet, and tossed everything into the washing machine. I lit a lavender candle in the room, and then swept and dusted. I did a quick spot-check of the rest of the house and noticed that the tub in the sauna needed to be cleaned. I scrubbed it, then mopped the sauna floor with a damp sponge mop. I finished cleaning the sauna about the time the washing machine finished, so I moved...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 4 ElyseChapter 64 Pull the Other One

May 26, 1991, Iron Mountain, Michigan “Shall we see if we can find a farm?” I asked at breakfast on Sunday morning. “That sounds like a great idea,” Jessica said. “There’s a visitor’s bureau in town,” Kara said. “I saw it when we were here the first time.” “I’m sorry I ruined that vacation,” Jessica said. “Ruined?” I protested. “Are you kidding? Getting you back was way more important than a few days of vacation!” “I agree,” Kara added. “Jess, you know exactly how bad off Steve was...

A WellLived Life Book 9 AnalaChapter 59 New Friends

August, 1984, Chicago, Illinois The rest of the week proceeded as expected - class on Wednesday, as well as the usual visit from Penny, work on Thursday, and class on Friday. Kara and I had lunch together at IIT, Sofia practiced her driving and parking, and I hung out with Mark Agnini after class for beers. Staci and I got into a couple of interesting debates about the Old Testament that Mark had to break up to allow others in the class to participate. She was very much of the ‘directly...

A WellLived Life 3 Book 1 SuzanneChapter 7 Reaching the Peak

March 25, 2000, Chicago, Illinois “What time do I need to have you home?” “8:00pm will be fine,” Misty replied. “My parents are in Normal visiting my brother at Illinois State. They aren’t supposed to be home before 10:00pm.” Misty and I were in my car on the way to the NIKA apartment which, fortunately, was not being used. With our expansion, it was in more or less regular use, and that meant I didn’t have access to it as often as I would have liked. I was glad there had been a delay in...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 20 It Happened One Night

January 17, 1989, Chicago, Illinois “What time do you have to leave this morning?” Kara asked as we showered together on Tuesday morning. “About 8:30am,” I said. “I’m driving over to get Jeri, then heading to O’Hare. We have an 11:00am flight. Assuming all goes well, we’ll be in the office by 3:00pm Pacific time. We’ll spend a couple hours going over the software then go to dinner. The demo is tomorrow. Our flight back on Thursday leaves LA at 11:00am, so we’ll be home by 8:00pm, I...

A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 7 Setting the Course of My Life

June 1977 Friday ended up being a non-event. The more I thought about it, the more I was sure that there was no way on this earth I could say what happened between Birgit and me was a sin. Calling it a sin would debase it into a meaningless act. I could never do that. And the more I thought about Jennie McGrath, the more sure I was that I couldn’t call what she did for me a sin, either. If the church was right, I was going to hell. And frankly, there was no way that could be true. So I...

A WellLived Life 3 Book 1 SuzanneChapter 32 Still Together

July 22, 2000, Chicago, Illinois “Albert, do you have everything packed?” Mom asked. “Yes, Mom!” I replied, rolling my eyes because she’d asked before I went to bed. “He’ll be fine, Babe,” Dad said. “Let’s walk to the hospital.” I usually didn’t get up early, but Dad had suggested it would help Mom if I walked to the hospital with her because I was leaving to see Jane for three weeks. Mom, Dad, Aunt Kara and I left the house and headed down the sidewalk towards the hospital where Mom and...

May 14, 1997, Chicago, Illinois “Start talking!” Melanie demanded when I sat down in her office about an hour later. “There isn’t much to say. Katya found the information for me when I asked her to look into several things about Brandon Littleton, Kevin Lomax, and John Milton.” “Do you know more about him?” “A LOT more. I don’t think you want to know.” “Probably not, but I’m your criminal defense attorney, and even though San Antonio doesn’t have you involved in this, you know the CPD...

“So, how should we do these Stone’s songs?” Phil asked at our rehearsal session. “I think we all know the music, we just need to come up with a pretty awesome arrangement; we don’t want to sound like yet another cheap cover band.” “I had some ideas, if it’s okay for me to make some suggestions,” Allison said. “Of course it is,” Phil said. “Everyone can have a say, there’s no rule that says you can’t participate in the discussion.” “Thanks, Phil, I guess being the newest here, I’m a bit...

October 5, 1992, Chicago, Illinois “Hi, Tiger! I missed you!” “Hi, Babe!” We hugged and kissed more than we normally did when we met at the ER after her shift, then she hugged and kissed Kara, and the three of us started our walk home. “How was San Francisco?” Jessica asked. “Good. The User Group meeting went very well, I saw my old boss and professor, Scott Bannerman, and Bethany and I had a lot of time to talk.” “If all you did with her is talk, I’m not sure I want to go back to the...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 5 MichelleChapter 77 Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous Part I

May 11, 1992, Chicago, Illinois Monday was turning out to be a LONG day. After my run and talk with Gina, and my talk with Elyse, I had a full day at the office scheduled. First was our leadership meeting in the morning, and then I had status meetings with each team. At lunch I’d gone to see Siobhán and explained that I was going to break off the sexual relationship, but that I wanted to remain friends. She was disappointed, but admitted that Thursday would have been the last time, since she...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 23 So Now You Turn Back Into Diana Prince

January 19, 1989, En-Route from LAX to ORD When the engines of the plane started, Jeri reached over and took my hand. She held it while we pushed away from the gate, and taxied for takeoff. Her grip tightened a bit as we hurtled down the runway, but nothing like the death grip she’d had on my arm for the flight out. The plane roared its way into the air and once we leveled out, Jeri’s grip loosened but she didn’t let go of my hand. “How are you doing?” I asked with a touch of...

September 1982, Chicago, Illinois The weekend was quiet and besides homework, I worked on the program changes for Frank, called Karin, Tatyana, and Kara, and hung out with my usual study group. Monday was refreshingly normal. On Tuesday morning, I handed Katy my completed intake form. She put it in an envelope and stuck it in her bag. She said she’d let me know soon about the interview. On Tuesday afternoon, after having lunch with Stephie, I made my rounds and then I headed over to Sigma...

October 1982, Chicago, Illinois The drive back to Chicago was as uneventful as usual, and I arrived at the apartment just before 6:00pm. When I arrived, Elyse and Stephie were sitting on the couch and Jackie was sitting on the loveseat. Stephie hopped up as I opened the door and greeted me with a hug and a kiss. “Hi, Peaches!” I said. “Glad you’re home, Yankee!” “Hi, Steve,” Elyse and Jackie both said. “Hey,” I replied. “How was the weekend?” “Well, it was just Kurt with me, Stephie,...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 52 Lifestyle Choices

June 11, 1989, Chicago, Illinois It was just after 3:00am when I kissed Trish goodbye. She’d been an enthusiastic, energetic, and adventurous lover. We’d done just about anything either of us could think of, though her breasts weren’t large enough for a tit-fuck. The last time had been in the shower where we’d ostensibly gone to clean up afterwards, but instead I ended up taking her from behind as she leaned against the wall of the shower. “I think I’ll have you again, Steve Adams,” she...

A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 38 Freshman Year Ends

May 1978 The first couple of weeks in May were busy with school, work, and friends. Except for Becky, I didn’t even have any dates. But I was OK with that. Well, almost OK. I wanted to see Anna, but it likely wasn’t going to happen until school was out. I had tutoring sessions with Melanie, but she still wouldn’t talk to me about anything other than Spanish. Barely a hello. I was grateful for the tutoring, but it was maddening seeing my friend this way. I hoped someday she could understand...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 44 Spring Break 1982 Part I

March, 1982, Milford, Ohio As I drove along I-65, I thought about what Stephanie had asked for and what Bethany had said without even knowing about the request. Of course, because Bethany and I were so in tune, she might have actually had an idea that I was struggling with getting involved with my sister again. I kept turning it over and over in my mind and I kept coming to the same conclusion — that I shouldn’t do it. I was torn between doing what Stephanie wanted and doing what Kara and...

You were messing with me, weren’t you?” She grabbed both my hands and smiled, “I was telling the truth, in my own way. October 1981, Chicago, Illinois I arrived back at the apartment just before 10:00pm and saw the address for the party. I decided I wasn’t particularly interested in going so I put on some music, poured myself a glass of wine, and started reading more about Russia. I was alternating between the history and culture book and the Communist Party book, decided on the history and culture book for this time. I didn’t get much reading done because I was thinking about Tatyana, which led me to...

January 23, 1996, Chicago, Illinois “Father, bless!” I said, greeting Father Basil with upturned palms. “Bless you, Stephen,” he said as I kissed his hand. The waiter showed us to a quiet table along the wall of Roditys in Greektown. He took our drink orders and was back quickly. We placed our food orders right away and he left to put them in with the kitchen. “I’m not quite sure how to address this, so I’m just going to ask you bluntly. June 29, 1995, Chicago, Illinois On Thursday, I finally had lunch with Melissa again, something I hadn’t been looking forward to. Much like with Cèlia, Melissa and I had passed an inflection point and I was left with sub-optimal paths forward. I’d been struggling with the possible solutions, and all of them had pitfalls. When I walked into Takumi, I had something of a plan. Whether it was good or not would only be known once everything played out. “I spoke to my wives,” I said after we’d...

March 1980, Hovås/Göteborg, Sweden I woke early as usual, but just enjoyed being in bed with Katt. When she woke, she hopped out of bed and pulled a robe out of her closet and handed it to me. “There’s a spare toothbrush in the bathroom. Go have your shower, then we’ll have breakfast after I have my shower.” I quickly showered and brushed my teeth, and went back to Katt’s room. She went to shower and came back a few minutes later. April 11, 1989, Chicago, Illinois Jorge finally came home on Tuesday afternoon. He was sore, but recovering. What hadn’t recovered was my sister’s attitude. She’d at least started going to classes after skipping three days, and seemed to be caught up, with a bit of help from some friends. But on the topic of Jorge and his family, she was immovable. Interviews of My Sex Life Charlotte Part1

It was two a.m. and I was putting my sheets in the wash. I could not stop masturbating since I dropped Jen off at her house. I couldn’t get her body out of my mind. In fact, I hadn’t been able to get her out of my mind since we started going to the gym together. It was as if the more time I spent with her, the more attractive she became to me. At times, I caught myself trying to peek in her shower stall to catch glimpses of her. But today, I actually saw her naked. She wasn’t that little girl...

August, 1983, Chicago, Illinois I walked in the near 90°F heat to Carla’s place. I was grateful that the humidity of the morning had dropped significantly; otherwise the heat would have been unbearable. By the time I walked up the steps to the apartment over the photography studio and knocked on her door, I had broken into a light sweat. Carla answered almost immediately and invited me inside her studio apartment. The air was moderately cool, and the window air conditioner was running full...

She was happy that I could spend the morning with her and asked to take a walk, so we weren’t in the house with my mom. “Let me guess — this walk will end in the clearing,” I said with a smile. “Yes,” she said, taking my hand as we walked down Overlook towards Klondyke. There was no touching of lips, just of cheeks, and I wondered if I’d misread her intentions at her birthday lunch, or if, perhaps, she detected my reluctance to return the offered affection. “Lunch is ready, so go ahead and sit. April 3, 1997, Dallas, Texas “Remember what I said about drinking too much,” I said, as I poured bourbon into three cups. We’d stopped at a liquor store, bought a bottle of Blanton’s, and then returned to the small suite I’d reserved at the Westin. Deborah’s room was down the hall, and Krissy’s was two floors below. Krissy’s comment had caught me a bit off guard, but I hadn’t reacted visibly. I didn’t know her quite well enough to know if she’d been teasing with Deborah, so I was being...

August 17, 1997, Chicago, Illinois We finished lunch and Marissa and the younger kids went to play, but Natalie sat with the adults to talk, with coffee, tea, or soft drinks. The Sarcus were very comfortable, but the Heaths were still struggling.
