“I don’t THINK so!” Jessica laughed when Kara told her about Penny’s request.

“Why not?” Kara asked. “It’s not like they haven’t been together before.”

“That’s true,” Jessica replied. “But Steve’s little friend has designs beyond just getting herself screwed silly. And that’s a big red flag.”

“Not to mention the fact that she works for my company,” I said.

“So you didn’t put her up to this?” Jessica asked.

I chuckled, “No way. I’ve known that Penny wanted to sleep with me again since before the wedding. But you haven’t seen me asking for permission, or even hinting at it.”

“Sleep?” Kara asked with a laugh. “That’s the LAST thing on Miss Penny O’Neil’s mind!”

“She’s going to have to satisfy that craving elsewhere,” I said.

“I’m curious. Do you WANT to have her again?” Jessica asked.

“Do I sense a trap, Babe?” I grinned.

“No trap. I’m only asking about desire, not intent.”

“It would be a lie to say that I didn’t enjoy being with Penny and a bigger lie to say that I wouldn’t enjoy it again. But it’s not open for consideration.”

“Now you have me curious, Tiger,” Jessica said. “Who WOULD be open for consideration?”

“Kathy’s daughters in sixteen or seventeen years!” Kara teased before I could answer.

“Yes, Kathy and I had an interesting conversation about THAT,” Jessica said. “We’ll worry about that in the future. I was more interested in now, because this was the time when I said that you could have the greatest leeway.”

“You did, but honestly, at least right now, I have no particular desire, nor any interest. I’ll let you know if I do.”

“Lyudmila’s going to be here next Thursday, Tiger. If she offers, you have your permission slip.”

“And then you’ll be planning my funeral when her mom comes after me with whatever sidearm the KGB issued to her. If and when an opportunity presents itself, AND I’m interested, I’ll let you know.”

Jessica smiled, “Good.”

“Snuggle Bear, you seem to have changed even more than I thought you might.”

“I think between the two of you, the baby, and my company, I just need to keep things on an even keel and within reasonable limits.”

“Which, I’ll admit, is what I hoped would happen,” Jessica said. “Don’t get me wrong, I’m not going back on our deal, but I’m glad that you’ve come closer to my position.”

“Me too, Babe. Me, too.”

“How was your date, Penny?” I asked when she came into work on Saturday morning.

“Pretty good. Dinner and the movie were both good, and I like hanging out with Jonathan. Jackie gave me good advice.”

“I knew that she would,” I said.

“Kara told me to forget about being with you! Do you agree with her?”

“She IS my wife, Pretty Penny! And so is Jessica. But it wouldn’t matter, really, because I own the company that you work for. It doesn’t matter that you report to Dave and Julia. And you don’t really want to sleep with a married man.”

“Oh yes I do! But just you, not with any other one.”

“It’s not a good idea. And I mean that - it really isn’t. Let’s focus on work and getting rich! You’ll find the right guy eventually. I’m sure of it.”

“Hmph! I did. But I was a couple of years too young!”

“I know. Now, let’s get to fixing some bugs, shall we?”

“Fine,” she sighed, turning to her keyboard.

March 9th, 1986, Chicago, Illinois

On Sunday evening, after Jessica had left for Indianapolis, CNN reported that NASA had located the crew compartment from Challenger. It was said to be heavily damaged which didn’t surprise me given the impact with the water, not to mention the explosion. Unconfirmed reports said that the remains of the crew were still inside the compartment, but CNN couldn’t get anyone to speak on the record about that. I was glad that they’d finally found the crew, and hoped they could have proper funerals.

NASA had ruled out a number of causes, and a commission led by William P. Rogers, a former Secretary of State and Attorney General, was tasked with determining the actual cause of the accident. I was pleased to see that one of my childhood heroes, Neil Armstrong, was serving as Vice Chairman, and that Richard Feynman, Chuck Yeager, and Sally Ride were also members. Their report wasn’t due for months, but I had hopes it would determine the exact cause of the accident and NASA could fix it and move on.

“So what do you think?” Stephanie asked when Headline News went to a commercial.

“Well, the newspapers all jumped on a failure of the external fuel tank right away, but NASA says that’s not the case. And that film of flames coming from the side of the solid rocket booster is pretty damning evidence. Something failed in one of the SRBs. What that was and why, is what the commission is going to have to figure out.”

“Is this going to be one of those situations where a 50¢ part caused a billion dollar machine to fail?” she asked.

“This is NASA. I don’t think there ARE any 50¢ parts on the space shuttle! But no, it wouldn’t surprise me if it was something simple. A failed bolt or weld or some other kind of weakness. We’ll have to wait and see. I’m just happy with the commission members, especially Armstrong.”

“I don’t even remember any of the moon landings,” Stephanie said. “I was two when he walked on the moon.”

“I was six, so I do remember watching that when we lived in California.” I said. “It ended by the time you were five, so it’s no surprise that you don’t remember. Right now, we can’t even get into orbit. It’s pretty sad, really. The Russians are building Mir, their space station, in orbit, and we can’t even launch.”

March 13th, 1986, Chicago, Illinois

“Lyusya Alekseyevna, it’s good to see you!” I said, kissing her Russian style when she came out of the Jetway door.

“Hello Stepa Rayevich! I do not think it is «некультурный» for you to greet me properly!”

“I am a married man!” I protested.

“You may still kiss me, Stephen Rayevich!”

I gave her a quick kiss on the lips and then led her out to my car for the drive to my house.

“How was Stanford?” I asked.

“Wonderful! Your friend Jennifer, mother of your baby, who went there? I may talk to her more while I am here?”

“Yes, of course. Josie, her wife, went there too. I’m sure that they’ll both talk to you about it.”

“This is very strange thing. A woman who has wife. And you are worried that kissing me is «некультурный»?”

I chuckled, “I think you might want to get used to things like that. California is pretty crazy!”

“The school was amazing, Stepa. So many smart people, and close to important companies like Hewlett Packard, Xerox, Apple, and new companies, NeXT and Sun.”

“Silicon Valley is the place to be if you want to be in computers, that’s for sure.”

“And Stanford is perfect school. Hopefully Comrade Gorbachev will succeed in his restructuring and soon will be possible to do such things in Russia. If not, I will defect as soon as I graduate!”

“Be careful who you say that to, Lyusya Alekseyevna!”

“I am. Mother has talked to me about proper behavior. I heard a lecture about behaving properly with you, which I did not wish to hear!”

I chuckled, “I am sure that Katya Sergeyevna was quite clear about it!”

“She does not wish me to have fun! She is too Russian!”

I smirked, “YOU are Russian, Lyusya!”

“Yes, but you know I am not like Mother and Father, or even like Tanya! I wanted nice kiss at airport and all you did was touch your lips to mine!”

“And what did your mother say?” I asked.

“She tells me not to do what I want. But is not up to Mother! I am almost eighteen! You know very well I wish to love with you, Stepa! But I worry your wives would be quite angry with me and you if we were to love.”

“Why would you wish to do that with a married man?” I asked.

“I wanted to do with you three years ago! The desire does not change because of your circumstance, only opportunity to do so without trouble. You said we would discuss when I was here. I am here.”

“We are discussing it, but I also said that we would discuss it if I wasn’t married or engaged.”

“Yes, and I was not happy with development, Stephen Rayevich! I think you also wished to love with me, but you would not do so because of Tanya Ivanovna. But now, you are not together with her. Now, you have two wives, which I also find to be very strange.”

“Lots of people find it strange. Besides seeing them again, you will get to see my son, Jesse Stepanovich, as well.”

“Is also quite strange. You have two wives, and a lover with whom you have baby.”

“Yes, that’s true, though Jennifer and I are no longer lovers.”

“I think means that might be possible for you to love with me without getting in trouble! Two wives and a baby with another woman? Yes. I think is possible!”

“I’m not saying that it is, but you really want that? I would have thought you believed that it was «некультурный».”

She laughed, “Wanting to love with you IS «некультурный». And being «некультурный» is good reason to do!”

She was a wild one, this young Russian girl. And she would certainly be a lot of fun. But I could only see bad outcomes. A few hours of pleasure with the potential to make a mess of several relationships didn’t seem like a good idea.

“I am sure! But I think it’s a bad idea. I do not want to upset you, your mother, your father, or Tanya.”

“I have no plans to tell them! I hope you will consider staying with me tonight! I will ask again when is time for bed!”

I chuckled, “You may ask, but don’t expect a different answer!”

“We shall see,” she said firmly.

When Lyudmila saw Jesse, she behaved like all the others girls did, confirming my suspicion that evolution had built in some automatic ‘I love babies’ response into women that was decidedly absent in most men, at least until they had their own child.

“You have wonderful baby, Jennifer...” Lyudmila said.

“Robertovna,” I finished for her.

“Yes, Jennifer Robertovna. Jesse Stepanovich is, I think ‘cute’ is right word.”

“Yes, that would be the word,” I said.

We stayed in the coach house for about twenty minutes, but then it was time for Jesse to eat, so Lyudmila and I went back to the main house to hang out until dinner. My housemates all stopped in to talk to Lyudmila at some point, and she was the focus of conversation at dinner as well. She had peppered Jennifer and Josie with questions about Stanford, both in terms of classes and social life and my thought that she was going to be hell on wheels in college was confirmed.

After dinner, Lyudmila predictably suggested that we use the sauna. Kara giggled when I asked her to join us. It was a lame attempt at self-defense that failed immediately when Lyudmila insisted that we go naked and Kara agreed, smirking and winking at me. She was trying to stir up trouble, but I knew I could count on her to back me up when push came to shove. At least I hoped so. But, as was often the case, that hope was in vain.

“She’s gorgeous and has a great body, Steve!” Kara teased as soon as we were sitting in the sauna together.

“Yes,” Lyudmila said, “but even so I cannot convince him to love with me! Before was because of Tanya Ivanovna. Now is because of his wives!”

“Did he tell you that?” Kara smirked.

I shot Kara a dirty look but she blithely ignored it.

“No, but he thinks loving would cause too much trouble,” Lyudmila groused.

“He’s worried about your parents and Tanya,” Kara said.

“I would not tell them! But you would permit this, Kara...” Lyudmila asked.

“Alanovna,” I said helpfully, despite not appreciating the conversation.

“Yes, Kara Alanovna, you would permit this?”

I gave Kara an even stronger look, attempting to discourage her. Fortunately, she had a bit of mercy on me.

“I don’t think it matters. Steve - Stepa Rayevich,” she giggled, “seems to have made up his mind.”

“Yes, is true,” Lyudmila frowned. “I had hoped seeing me again would change his mind. But you are beautiful, Kara Alanovna, so I am not surprised that he is only interested in you.”

“Not just me, but Jessica, uhm what would it be, Steve?”

“Jessica Troyovna,” I said.

“Not just me, but Jessica Troyovna, too. You saw her at the wedding.”

“Yes, of course, but not like we are now. I tried to talk Stepa into staying with me tonight, but I do not think he will.”

“No, I don’t think he will, either,” Kara confirmed.

“He is very good at this?” Lyudmila asked. “I could never get Tanya Ivanovna to answer this question. She said it was «некультурный» to ask.”

Kara laughed, “Yes, she would say that. And yes, he is very, very good at it. The best!”

“This is not fair!” Lyudmila protested. “I asked him to demonstrate when he was in Washington and he refused!”

Kara smiled, “Lyudmila, I think Steve is concerned about his relationships with you, with your parents, and with Tanya. Those are all good reasons to not just casually have sex with someone. I think that’s enough now.”

Lyudmila glared at Kara for a moment, but then her face softened. She knew, deep down, that Kara was right. But she also knew, correctly, that I was attracted to her, and if the circumstances were different, I might actually take her up on her offer. In the end, I valued my friendships too much to blow them apart by having sex with her, though the sight of her firm, young body was certainly a major temptation.

March 14th, 1986, Indianapolis, Indiana

“No, I’m not kidding!” Kara laughed as she, Jessica, and I cuddled after two hours of love making.

“I don’t believe it. A beautiful, naked Russian girl offered him her virginity and he turned her down flat? That doesn’t seem on par with our husband’s past.”

“Sure it is,” Kara said. “He’s always been cautious about it, especially since the problem with Annie in Sweden.”

“What problem was that?” Jessica asked.

I quickly explained the situation, and how Annie and I had eventually come to terms with what had happened, and how we’d ended up as friends despite what had happened.

“You had hinted at a consent issue at one point,” Jessica said. “But neither of you actually told me what it was. But there was obvious consent here, and permission!”

“Sure,” I said. “But I think, in the end, screwing up my relationships for a roll in the hay doesn’t make sense. I did that once and I have zero interest in doing it again.”

“Becky?” Jessica asked.

“Exactly. Look what THAT did, albeit many years later. It was bad when it happened, but worse when it brought down my relationship with Bethany. There’s no way I’m risking a repeat of that situation.”

“Then I come back to a question of who or when. You were adamant about having some amount of freedom but you’re not using it.”

“I’ll know it when I see it?” I grinned.

“Wasn’t that about pornography?” Jessica asked.

“Obscenity, actually,” I said. “Justice Potter Stewart said it in a case about showing the movie The Lovers in a theater near Cleveland, Ohio. My point was, I can’t tell you the person or the circumstances at this point. I’m happy making love to my wives. I’m curious why you’re pushing the issue so hard.”

“Because you did, Tiger! It was, at least in some form, a non-negotiable point for you. Now it seems different.”

“So I SHOULD have fucked Lyudmila? Is that what you’re saying?”

“No, of course not! If you didn’t want to, you shouldn’t have. I’m just trying to figure you out.”

Kara laughed, “Good luck on that one. Steve is self-consistent in his rules and standards, but they don’t always make sense to anyone else!”

“So he sent that poor girl home frustrated, then?” Jessica smirked.

“Just like he did Penny,” Kara giggled. “But, seriously, it’ll happen. There will be some girl who strikes his fancy and he’ll decide that it’s worth giving her a tumble. It just might not be soon.”

“Oh, before I forget,” I said. “I bought 100 shares of Microsoft stock today. That’s the same number of shares I bought in Apple back in 1980, though I paid a bit less for those.”

“You know I never asked, what other investments do you have?” Jessica asked.

“I have some shares in Proctor and Gamble, Coca Cola, and Disney. But I only bought 25 shares of each of those back in 1980. I’ll buy more when I start paying myself a real salary. And, of course, right now I have 90% of the shares in NIKA, though some of those are promised to Cindi, Dave, Julia, Elyse, and my sister. Joyce has 5% and my dad has 5%.”

A WellLived Life 2 Book 5 MichelleChapter 78 Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous Part II

May 15, 1992, Glencoe, Illinois “Join me in my study, if you would,” Noel Spurgeon said when we finished our dessert. It had been an interesting evening. Samantha and I had talked for a bit before we’d been summoned to dinner. The meal had been prepared by a chef and was served by a white-coated young man. Again, this was a far cry from Lois at the van Hoeks’ house. What wasn’t a far cry was the fact that I was having dinner with a man who knew I was going to be sleeping with his daughter...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 7 SakurakoChapter 57 Land of the Rising Sun Part III

June 23, 1994, Oguni, Yamagata Prefecture, Japan My first week in Japan flew by, and a routine developed. Sakurako would wake me; I’d exercise and run, then shower and have breakfast, and share tea with Sakurako. After breakfast, I’d meditate, and then have my training session. After lunch, I’d work in the garden, or, as I had this day, wash the floors in the house. Hiroshi would accompany me back to the cottage and we’d talk while I washed up and dressed for dinner. After dinner, I’d spend...

June 15, 1994, Chicago, Illinois “That’s everything, I think,” I said. “My luggage is in the trunk of the car, I have my passport, tickets, and money, both dollars and yen. I can’t think of anything else.” “I’ll see you in five weeks,” Elyse said, giving me a quick hug. “Did you see they rioted in Vancouver last night because they lost the Stanley Cup?” I chuckled, “Only Canadians would riot when they LOSE the Cup! I did see that on the front page of the Trib. Are we ready?” “Michelle and...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 7 SakurakoChapter 9 A Battery of Tests aka Dont Hold the Mayo

October 9, 1993, Chicago, Illinois On Saturday morning, Kara, Michelle, and I were sitting in the ‘Indian’ room. Kara had come down, as we’d agreed, to continue our conversation from the previous night. We’d decided to stay in and talk, and we had, before I had gone with Michelle to her room to spend our scheduled Friday night together. “Michelle, do you remember our conversation about my relationship with Steve?” Kara asked. “Which one? We’ve had so many!” Kara smiled, “True! I was...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 5 Housemates

August 1981, Chicago, Illinois On Sunday morning, I made my usual call to Karin. I described everything in the apartment and all the things I’d done during the week, including the reception. Both of us would start school in a week and we were both looking forward to it. When we finished talking, I went out for my run, showered, and ate breakfast. I made some tea, started a load of laundry, and then turned on the stereo. I put on an REO Speedwagon album and then relaxed on the couch with the...

August 21, 1989, Chicago, Illinois “Unbelievable,” I said when I read the headline from the Chicago Tribune. “It says here that Solidarity activist Tadeusz Mazowiecki was nominated to be Prime Minister of Poland.” I hadn’t had a chance to read the paper on Sunday because it hadn’t been delivered before we left for the race track in Michigan. “So now what?” Kara asked. “We’re in totally uncharted territory. Your guess is as good as anyone’s right about now.” “Steve, do you have a minute?”...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 23 So Now You Turn Back Into Diana Prince

January 19, 1989, En-Route from LAX to ORD When the engines of the plane started, Jeri reached over and took my hand. She held it while we pushed away from the gate, and taxied for takeoff. Her grip tightened a bit as we hurtled down the runway, but nothing like the death grip she’d had on my arm for the flight out. The plane roared its way into the air and once we leveled out, Jeri’s grip loosened but she didn’t let go of my hand. “How are you doing?” I asked with a touch of...

A WellLived Life Book 2 JenniferChapter 37 Terms and Conditions May Apply

November-December 1978 I woke up Monday as usual and got my trunks. Stephanie was waiting for me, which came as no surprise. We swam our laps, with me again outpacing her. I was sure in a few months she’d be able to keep up. We walked down the hall and she smirked and started to follow me into my room. I decided this was a chance to practice setting limits that Jennifer and I had discussed. “Stephanie, no!” I said firmly, but gently. “We’re not ready for this yet. You’re not. I’m not. We...

June 1977 When I got home, I grabbed a Coke and some chips and went right to my room. I didn’t think I could deal with my parents or Jeff or Stephanie. I just needed to be by myself. That wouldn’t seem odd to anyone, because I often went to my room to read. In addition, I now had the TV I’d received for my birthday. I flipped it on to WXIX Channel 19 and reruns of Gilligan’s Island and Green Acres played in the background while I read. I had to get my mind clear for the final exams that...

June 1977 Friday ended up being a non-event. The more I thought about it, the more I was sure that there was no way on this earth I could say what happened between Birgit and me was a sin. Calling it a sin would debase it into a meaningless act. I could never do that. And the more I thought about Jennie McGrath, the more sure I was that I couldn’t call what she did for me a sin, either. If the church was right, I was going to hell. July, 1983, Chicago, Illinois I woke up early on the First of July, because my body clock was still set to Swedish time. January 17, 1989, Chicago, Illinois “What time do you have to leave this morning?” Kara asked as we showered together on Tuesday morning. “About 8:30am,” I said. “I’m driving over to get Jeri, then heading to O’Hare. We have an 11:00am flight. Assuming all goes well, we’ll be in the office by 3:00pm Pacific time. We’ll spend a couple hours going over the software then go to dinner. The demo is tomorrow. Our flight back on Thursday leaves LA at 11:00am, so we’ll be home by 8:00pm, I...

A WellLived Life Book 7 Kara IIChapter 35 An Interview and Some New Friends

October 1982, Chicago, Illinois The drive back to Chicago was as uneventful as usual, and I arrived at the apartment just before 6:00pm. When I arrived, Elyse and Stephie were sitting on the couch and Jackie was sitting on the loveseat. Stephie hopped up as I opened the door and greeted me with a hug and a kiss. “Hi, Peaches!” I said. “Glad you’re home, Yankee!” “Hi, Steve,” Elyse and Jackie both said. “Hey,” I replied. “How was the weekend?” “Well, it was just Kurt with me, Stephie,...

my sissy summer with aunie Maye

It was Auntie Mayes soft hand from behind that coaxed me forward into my new temporary upstairs summer bedroom as my eyes took in that fascinating sight of such exciting lovely and sexy feminine lingerie and girlie outfits that completley covered her pink guestroom bedspread! In addition I couldn't help but to also notice, those five lifelike looking rubber dildo cocks that had been carefully layed out sideways across the lower shelf of the high headboard just below the long narrow mirror above...

October 1981, Chicago, Illinois I arrived back at the apartment just before 10:00pm and saw the address for the party. I decided I wasn’t particularly interested in going so I put on some music, poured myself a glass of wine, and started reading more about Russia. I was alternating between the history and culture book and the Communist Party book, decided on the history and culture book for this time. I didn’t get much reading done because I was thinking about Tatyana, which led me to...

September 7, 1992, Chicago, Illinois “That went reasonably well,” Michelle said when her parents drove off. “There were a few times I thought my expression would give away something I shouldn’t. You were messing with me, weren’t you?” She grabbed both my hands and smiled, “I was telling the truth, in my own way. Thank you!” She leaned forward and kissed my cheek. “So, what’s left?” I asked. “To visit UofC tomorrow and formally withdraw from classes. To spend some time with you and your...

A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 38 Freshman Year Ends

May 1978 The first couple of weeks in May were busy with school, work, and friends. Except for Becky, I didn’t even have any dates. But I was OK with that. Well, almost OK. I wanted to see Anna, but it likely wasn’t going to happen until school was out. I had tutoring sessions with Melanie, but she still wouldn’t talk to me about anything other than Spanish. Barely a hello. I was grateful for the tutoring, but it was maddening seeing my friend this way. I hoped someday she could understand...

A WellLived Life Book 7 Kara IIChapter 34 Old Routines and New Ideas

September 1982, Chicago, Illinois The weekend was quiet and besides homework, I worked on the program changes for Frank, called Karin, Tatyana, and Kara, and hung out with my usual study group. Monday was refreshingly normal. On Tuesday morning, I handed Katy my completed intake form. She put it in an envelope and stuck it in her bag. She said she’d let me know soon about the interview. On Tuesday afternoon, after having lunch with Stephie, I made my rounds and then I headed over to Sigma...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 44 Spring Break 1982 Part I

March, 1982, Milford, Ohio As I drove along I-65, I thought about what Stephanie had asked for and what Bethany had said without even knowing about the request. Of course, because Bethany and I were so in tune, she might have actually had an idea that I was struggling with getting involved with my sister again. I kept turning it over and over in my mind and I kept coming to the same conclusion — that I shouldn’t do it. I was torn between doing what Stephanie wanted and doing what Kara and...

December 5, 2000, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota “I had a good time last night,” I said. “I was surprised you invited a friend!” Mary laughed as we walked into the exam room, “Naomi had a good time as well. You know what a Resident’s life is like.” I nodded, “No social life.” “Exactly. You guys seemed to hit it off pretty well.” “Yes, but I’m not here for that!” “You’re everywhere for that, and you know it!” I couldn’t help but laugh. “Let’s just say that you hit the sweet spot -...

April 5, 1997, Chicago, Illinois “You missed cuddles this morning!” Birgit said accusingly when I walked into the house about 9:30am. “I know, Pumpkin, but I had a work emergency and had to go see Aunt Joyce and Grandpa A.” “And now we have to get ready for karate!” “I know. We’ll have some family time this afternoon. I don’t have any plans.” “Good!” I hugged her and the rest of the kids, then went to find Kara. We hugged and kissed, and went straight upstairs to get ready for...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 52 Lifestyle Choices

June 11, 1989, Chicago, Illinois It was just after 3:00am when I kissed Trish goodbye. She’d been an enthusiastic, energetic, and adventurous lover. We’d done just about anything either of us could think of, though her breasts weren’t large enough for a tit-fuck. The last time had been in the shower where we’d ostensibly gone to clean up afterwards, but instead I ended up taking her from behind as she leaned against the wall of the shower. “I think I’ll have you again, Steve Adams,” she...

October 2, 1994, Chicago, Illinois The attendance at the Rap Session was better than I’d expected. Most of the kids from the spring returned, though one or two had graduated. Elizabeth, Claire, Becka, Marie Annette, Laurie, Ben, Mike, Carissa, Wanda, Stacy, Ted, Bev, Henry, Gaby, Trish, Kajri, Cèlia, and Cindi were all in attendance. Ken and Joan didn’t show up, which didn’t surprise me. And of course, my wives, Michelle, and Elyse were in the great room as well. I’d thought more about...

November 2, 1991, Chicago, Illinois “Is Chris coming tonight?” Kara asked. “I doubt it,” I said. “He hasn’t shown up for anything since Cindi left him. And she’s doing the traditional ‘masquerade ball’ mask. Nothing more. She’ll leave William with April and Sarah.” “That’s a heck of a change from last year!” “I think she’s thinking she might have pushed things too far,” I said. “I don’t! She went to the door naked with me! She might regret the problem with Chris, but not with her costume...

June 29, 1995, Chicago, Illinois On Thursday, I finally had lunch with Melissa again, something I hadn’t been looking forward to. Much like with Cèlia, Melissa and I had passed an inflection point and I was left with sub-optimal paths forward. I’d been struggling with the possible solutions, and all of them had pitfalls. When I walked into Takumi, I had something of a plan. Whether it was good or not would only be known once everything played out. “I spoke to my wives,” I said after we’d...

September 3, 1989, Chicago, Illinois “Good morning, Sensei,” I said, bowing to Sensei Jim. “Good morning!” he said waving me to a chair in his office. “How was your trip?” I asked. “Enlightening. I spent most of my time acting as a manservant to Sensei Robert and Sensei Hiro.” “He who will lead, must first serve,” I said. “Someday, I’m going to send you to Sensei Hiro, should he live long enough. You understand.” “Does that mean you are now 6th Dan?” I...

May 11, 1992, Chicago, Illinois Monday was turning out to be a LONG day. After my run and talk with Gina, and my talk with Elyse, I had a full day at the office scheduled. First was our leadership meeting in the morning, and then I had status meetings with each team. At lunch I’d gone to see Siobhán and explained that I was going to break off the sexual relationship, but that I wanted to remain friends. She was disappointed, but admitted that Thursday would have been the last time, since she...

January 23, 1996, Chicago, Illinois “Father, bless!” I said, greeting Father Basil with upturned palms. “Bless you, Stephen,” he said as I kissed his hand. The waiter showed us to a quiet table along the wall of Roditys in Greektown. He took our drink orders and was back quickly. We placed our food orders right away and he left to put them in with the kitchen. “I’m not quite sure how to address this, so I’m just going to ask you bluntly. Are you the father of Michelle’s baby?” I shook my...

April 3, 1997, Dallas, Texas “Remember what I said about drinking too much,” I said, as I poured bourbon into three cups. We’d stopped at a liquor store, bought a bottle of Blanton’s, and then returned to the small suite I’d reserved at the Westin. Deborah’s room was down the hall, and Krissy’s was two floors below. Krissy’s comment had caught me a bit off guard, but I hadn’t reacted visibly. I didn’t know her quite well enough to know if she’d been teasing with Deborah, so I was being...

August, 1983, Chicago, Illinois I walked in the near 90°F heat to Carla’s place. I was grateful that the humidity of the morning had dropped significantly; otherwise the heat would have been unbearable. By the time I walked up the steps to the apartment over the photography studio and knocked on her door, I had broken into a light sweat. Carla answered almost immediately and invited me inside her studio apartment. The air was moderately cool, and the window air conditioner was running full...

Introduction: This is a pokemon story that I wrote. If your not a fan of pokemon try looking of the characters to get a better picture of them but I hope you enjoy. May screamed and squirmed all over. She was stuck in the water with thousands of tentacles around her. The tentacles were wrapping around her making her unable to move. They were ripping off her clothes and cupping her breasts. She continued to scream until one of the tentacles shoved it self down her throat. She was completely...

March 13, 1994, Chicago, Illinois “Hi, Steve!” Ailea said when she opened the door. “Hi,” I replied, accepting the offered hug. There was no touching of lips, just of cheeks, and I wondered if I’d misread her intentions at her birthday lunch, or if, perhaps, she detected my reluctance to return the offered affection. “Lunch is ready, so go ahead and sit. I’ll bring it in from the kitchen.” I went to the low table, sat down, and a minute later, Ailea brought miso soup and sushi, our usual...

March 1980, Hovås/Göteborg, Sweden I woke early as usual, but just enjoyed being in bed with Katt. When she woke, she hopped out of bed and pulled a robe out of her closet and handed it to me. “There’s a spare toothbrush in the bathroom. Go have your shower, then we’ll have breakfast after I have my shower.” I quickly showered and brushed my teeth, and went back to Katt’s room. She went to shower and came back a few minutes later.
