December 6, 1992, Chicago, Illinois

“She looked very happy. One down, two to go?” Samantha teased after Wanda left the house.

“And you’re OK?” I asked.

“It was part of our agreement, so yes.”

I smiled, “That’s not what I asked. Forget the agreement. Are you OK?”

She was quiet for a moment, “Yes, I think so. Remember, I was OK with you being with Denise, and honestly, given how it turned out, I wish you had.”

“What happened?”

“My dad was his usual self. He had her two or three times, but his way isn’t like yours from what the girls say. It’s pure sex. No cuddling afterwards. No joint shower. Just get dressed and leave. And after the last time, he gave her a nice necklace she’d wanted and then sent her away. She’s pretty depressed about the whole thing.”

Which I could totally understand. It was one of the reasons I was so careful about the girls I’d been with, and mostly spent a lot of time talking to them before taking them to bed. It was something Jennie McGrath had warned me about fifteen years previously, and even so, I’d run into problems with some girls’ emotional responses.

“I’m sorry she had a bad experience, but you know why I couldn’t. That rule has to stay in place for obvious reasons.”

“I know. It’s just seeing her hurt because she was just another plaything for my dad that really bothers me. Before, it bothered me because I’d lose friends over it. Now it bothers me because I know the difference between sex and love.”

“So perhaps your mission is to convince those girls not to do it. To wait for the right guy. To avoid men like your dad and his friends.”

“The problem is meeting the right guy. Most of the girls go to exclusive private schools, and some you haven’t met go to boarding schools. The only guys they see are mostly the same type of rich, spoiled brats or rich married men. You were an anomaly. So was John, actually, because he wasn’t part of any of the social circles. But Lisa thought she could control him easier than one of the rich boys.”

“Well, I don’t know what to say except to encourage you to talk to them and tell them to stay away from the guys there.”

“I guess,” she sighed. “Did you find out what happened with Lena?”

“A bratty little sister who snooped in her diary and read about the Rap Sessions and the kisses, and then ratted Lena out to her parents.”

“What a little bitch!” Samantha growled. “Did you ever have a problem like that with your journals?”

Problem? No. But Elyse certainly had snooped, even if she felt I’d given tacit approval by leaving the key to my desk with her.

“Not really,” I said. “My sister was on my side growing up, and would never have told my mom. In fact, on a couple of occasions, she took my secret lock box out of my room so my mom wouldn’t find it when she was snooping.”

“Now THAT’S a sister you want!” Samantha laughed. “So now what?”

“Lena’s banned from coming to the Rap Sessions and her parents have her on a very tight leash. She’s going to try to slip free, if you will, later this week, but I’m not so sure her parents will allow it.”

“How? If you don’t mind me asking.”

“Reading days. She’s going to come to campus to study with her friends and will try to slip away to see me.”

Samantha laughed, “That’ll be two!”

“You’re just waiting for me to get these out of the way, aren’t you? To see how I behave afterwards?”

“I suppose that’s true. But I think you’ll do fine. In fact, I’m sure of it. You’ve shown me already.”

“I have?”

“By being concerned about how I felt. And if I had said I was uncomfortable, you would have given up on the others.”

“Yes.”

“So for the next sleepover I have, I want you to join us in the sauna. I promise no orgies will break out!”

“Bummer!” I teased.

Samantha’s eyes twinkled, “Just ask.”

“Never!” I said, now sounding serious.

“I know,” she said happily and with a big smile. “That’s why I love you.”

December 7, 1992, Chicago, Illinois

I pulled into my new, snow-covered parking spot just after 8:00am. I’d had to tweak my schedule with Gina a bit to allow for the extra time that the drive would take, but otherwise, the only real compromise was not being able to walk Jessica to work regularly for the first time since she’d started her Residency. I’d still be able to walk her home, but I felt bad about not being able to walk her to work. I got out, locked the car, and walked around to the building’s main entrance.

“Good morning, Lucas. How are things?”

“Good morning! Chaotic! But Kimmy and Keri have everything completely under control.”

I hung my coat in the closet and put my fedora on the shelf.

“The phones are working?” I asked.

“Yes. There don’t appear to be any problems. Kimmy is at the old building ensuring the last of our things are moved out.”

“Perfect. When she arrives, have her come see me, please.”

“Will do. Sam asked that you stop in her office. There was some difficulty with the computer network over the weekend.”

“But you have access to your electronic mail and the files now?”

“Yes. It seems to be working OK.”

I waved my pass card to unlock the door into the interior offices and was pleased to see it work correctly. Rather than go up the stairs, I turned left to head to Sam’s office.

“Lucas said there was an problem with the network,” I said.

“There was some confusion by the electricians with the low-power cabling. They misread the CAT-3 UTP standards and had to redo every single connector and wall plate over the weekend.”

“Why didn’t we find this out before?”

“They had toned out each connection and it was fine, because it was electrically good. But some pins were reversed from what they should have been. It’s fixed. They spent all day Saturday and half of yesterday fixing it.”

“All the computers are on the network now?”

“Yes. I personally tested each one as they fixed them. I was here pretty much the whole weekend.”

“Sorry about that,” I said. “You can take a couple of days of comp time to make up for it.”

“Julia already approved that! I was happy to do it, though. It was good experience, and I could be sure everything was working right. Your CICNet connection is live in the computer room. All you need to do is run the patch cable in the computer room and then plug into the correct jack in your office. I made sure the Unix box is up and running. I hope you don’t mind that I did the Ethernet configuration for you.”

I chuckled, “Could I have stopped you short of changing the root password?”

“No! Also, I heard from InfoNet. They’ll be in next week to connect us to the WAN. That’s going to take a bit of configuration of their routers and our OS/2 and Novell systems. I’ll do that, too, if you’ll let me.”

“Everyone keeps pointing out that I’m keeper of this zoo, so yes, I will! I know you’ll document it properly. Just keep me posted.”

“To start with, I was only going to configure your computer, my computer, and one in each remote office for full access. We’ll see how it works before I try to get it on all of the workstations. The real issue is getting PC/TCP to load and run with the Novell packet drivers in the limited memory that Microsoft allows.”

“I know you’ll manage,” I grinned.

“Using HIMEM.SYS and MEMMAKER, I should be able to at least get a rough idea of how to fit it all into upper memory so we can still load Windows with all the drivers in place.”

“That’s what we pay you for!”

“I was thinking that given the improvements that Microsoft is making, especially with the talk about the new server OS which will come out next summer, we might want to think about dispensing with Novell completely. I know Microsoft’s file sharing isn’t as good, but given our reliance on SQL Server, we might want to think about it. I also looked at MS Mail, and think we should consider moving to it, instead of cc:Mail.”

“Why?” I asked.

“Integration is the biggest thing. Once Greg started us on the path to SQL Server, I think we committed to Microsoft. The only thing I’d be reticent to change would be WordPerfect, but we’re going to have to support MS Word at some point.”

I nodded, “I figured this was coming. I started out as an Apple and Mac guy, but I can’t see any alternative to what you’re proposing, at least not now. Write it all up and we’ll discuss it.”

She smiled, “Way ahead of you, Boss!”

I laughed, “Terry’s habit is spreading!”

“Well, at the moment, you ARE the boss, until you decide to be a programmer again. If you do.”

“There’s no ‘if’ about it! It’ll happen. I just need to keep my skills up in the meantime! Anything else?”

“Not for now. It’s all quiet on the Dante front for now.”

“That never lasts,” I chuckled.

I left her office, and after saying ‘good morning’ to Dave and Julia, headed up to my office. I turned on the computer and was happy to see everything was working fine. I did the same with Penny’s computer, and had just finished checking it when she walked in the door.

“Snooping?” she teased.

“Just making sure it was working and on the network. It is. Did you guys drive over?”

“Yes. That lot is only a block away, so it’s no problem at all. It makes it easy to bring Amber and Andy here for the daycare.”

“You know, I should check on that,” I said.

I got up and walked down the hall to the large office we’d set aside for daycare. Eventually, it could be made into two offices or a conference room, but for the time being, it served as the company daycare. None of my kids would come here unless Abbie was going to be away, but most of the others would. I saw Eric, Peter, Nicky, Amber, Andrew, and William with a young woman who I assumed was the person who the ‘co-op’ had hired.

“Hi, I’m Steve Adams.”

“Hi! I’m Kate Ball!” she said with a moderate Polish accent. “You’re the boss?”

“Of the company, yes, but you work for the daycare co-op, not me.”

“Do you have kids?”

“A bunch, but we have a nanny at home. You mostly won’t see my kids unless she’s on vacation. And some days, Peter, Nicky, Amber, and William will be at my house to play with my kids.”

“Their moms or dads told me. I guess there are other kids, too.”

“Yes. I don’t see Charles here, or Ally’s kids. I suspect they’ll be along soon. Do you have someone to help you?”

“Yes, another girl, Luisa, but she’s only here in the afternoons unless I’m not here. She’ll help with lunch and afternoon walks.”

“OK. I’m just down the hall, in the office next to Elyse.”

“Thanks. It was nice to meet you, Sir!”

“Please, call me Steve. Everyone does!”

“OK, Mr. Steve!” she replied.

That would have to do.

December 8, 1992, Chicago, Illinois

“I got a job, starting in January,” Samantha said at dinner on Tuesday night.

“Where?”

“At the new Borders bookstore over by the University. I’ll work Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings, plus Saturday mornings. And yes, I’ll be able to get my homework done!”

Everyone laughed.

“That’s great!” I said. “How does it feel?”

“Weird. But you told me it was a good idea and I believe you. The pay is unbelievable.”

I chuckled, “As in unbelievably low?”

She nodded, “$5.00 an hour! I could barely buy gas for my car, let alone pay insurance on that!”

“Welcome to the real world!” Josie laughed. “My first job paid $2.35 an hour! And that was working at McDonald’s. Ugh!”

“How can anyone make it on so little money?” Samantha asked.

“I think you’re starting to understand something Steve intended for you to learn.”

“May I ask what you pay Lucas?”

“$9.00 per hour,” Elyse said. “He’s also eligible for bonuses. His total compensation would probably work out to around $23,000 per year, which isn’t bad for a young, single guy living with his buddies. It would be tough to raise a family on that, though, especially here in Chicago.”

“Is that normal for someone like him?”

“No,” Elyse said. “We pay well because we want the best and we want people to stay. He was only making about $6.50 per hour with the temp agency.”

“Something to consider when you take over Spurgeon Capital,” I said. “Those fund managers and traders make millions, but I bet the receptionist makes less than Lucas.”

“Probably. Dad would say you should never overpay for something like that.”

“We’re not,” Elyse said. “We’re paying Lucas what he’s worth to us. Just because it could be had cheaper, doesn’t mean it’s the same quality or provides the same value. How often does Spurgeon Capital get new receptionists?”

“Every year, if not more often.”

“Which proves my point,” Elyse said. “Kimmy and Keri both started as receptionists. We promoted them. They’ve both been around for a long time and most likely won’t leave. That has value, too.”

“An interesting concept. Dad says that with the exception of the top analysts, traders, and especially fund managers, every employee is fungible.”

“And he’s technically correct,” I said. “Anyone can be replaced. But what’s the cost of doing that? I say the cost to the firm of high turnover is much higher than paying better salaries and offering better benefits.”

“I don’t know that he’s considered that.”

I smiled, “But you will, won’t you?”

“Yes.”

“Steve,” Abbie said, “Jorge called me about my script! You told him?”

I chuckled, “Yes. I need to divert him from a different course of action! I thought maybe a graphic novel would be a good idea! What did he say?”

“We’re going to talk about it this weekend. I assume because you suggested it, you’re OK with his plan?”

“I am,” I said with a grin.

“What script?” Jason asked.

There was general laughter at the table, as all the adults knew about it.

“I’ll tell you later,” Abbie smirked.

Later that evening, after Kara and I had walked Jessica home from work, I was in bed with Elyse. We’d made love and were cuddling afterwards.

“You set up your tryst with Lena?” she asked.

“Yes, for Friday. Why?”

“You need to be very careful with her. VERY careful.”

“Why? Because of her parents?”

“That’s part of it.”

“She’s eighteen and in college,” I countered.

“That’s true, but I’ve watched her. I’ve seen the way she looks at you, the way she acts around you, and the way she responded to those kisses.”

Lunch With Lena

The call from Lena was unexpected. Colin hadn’t spoken in a while and she made it sound as casual as she could when she asked if he would have lunch with her and help evaluate a job opportunity. As casually as he could, Colin accepted, they settled on the following day and he suggested an up market sports bar that was close to the midpoint between their offices. When he put the phone down Colin took a deep breath and sighed. There could never be anything casual about meeting up with Lena. Next...

Enslaving Lena

‘Morning!’ Lena cheerily breezed past Dale and Billy as she was buzzed in through the front door. Billy noted with approval that she was wearing the sexy knee high boots that he liked. Trimmed, toned and athletic the two men’s eyes followed her as she entered the lift. When he thought she was out of earshot, Dale turned to Billy, ‘I would, mate.’ Billy laughed. And then he laughed some more. If he hadn’t been so turned on Billy wouldn’t have been able to stop laughing. Miss Perfect....

Lena

Authors Note: This is not only a true story (the names have been changed to protect the guilty), the locations are correct and the individuals involved are fairly normal human beings. I do not measure my prick from my asshole, but from the top where it meets my abdomen. It is 6 1/2′ long and the same circumference. The lady in this story has a normal vagina (fairly snug) and does not spout ‘gallons’ on orgasm. This is not to say that she does nothing, as she had one of the sweetest pussies...

A Helping Hand for Lena

It was a fairly standard buffet dinner party among Calgary's affluent oil crowd. The food was excellent, the caterer probably even better than last time. There was lots of good wine to drink, and the people milled around happily, telling tales in dribs and drabs to anyone who happened to be next to them, asking about business and holidays, sharing the latest gossip on hedge funds, friends and associates who were dying, divorcing, or buying apartments, or cows or buffalo, or having trouble with...

Brad and Lena were thrown together on a project to implement a new security system. Lena worked for the company, whilst Brad was an employee of the supplier. Lena was a petite blonde - just 5ft tall with a beautifully proportioned body having curves in all the right places. When Brad arrived, a number of the company’s staff wished him luck - after about the sixth person he asked “Why...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 5 MichelleChapter 78 Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous Part II

May 15, 1992, Glencoe, Illinois “Join me in my study, if you would,” Noel Spurgeon said when we finished our dessert. It had been an interesting evening. Samantha and I had talked for a bit before we’d been summoned to dinner. The meal had been prepared by a chef and was served by a white-coated young man. Again, this was a far cry from Lois at the van Hoeks’ house. What wasn’t a far cry was the fact that I was having dinner with a man who knew I was going to be sleeping with his daughter...

A femdom story Lena part 1 Meeting Lena

We met at a café with good coffee and a quiet corner and talked about our lives, politics and culture. Why did we not talk about sex?Her screen name on Hamster was horny_Scot, but her real name was Lena, and we had messaged for a wee while, sharing some sexual fantasies, and she had liked them enough to meet me.When I had sat down at the table to wait for her, I had been nervous as hell. What if she didn't like me? What if I didn't like her?The latter worry turned out to be unwarranted: she was...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 7 SakurakoChapter 57 Land of the Rising Sun Part III

June 23, 1994, Oguni, Yamagata Prefecture, Japan My first week in Japan flew by, and a routine developed. Sakurako would wake me; I’d exercise and run, then shower and have breakfast, and share tea with Sakurako. After breakfast, I’d meditate, and then have my training session. After lunch, I’d work in the garden, or, as I had this day, wash the floors in the house. Hiroshi would accompany me back to the cottage and we’d talk while I washed up and dressed for dinner. After dinner, I’d spend...

Lena

I arrived at Subic Bay Naval Station in early September 1958 as an ambitious and horny 19 year old Marine PFC, and after a slow (almost four week) trip on one of the scroungiest scum buckets afloat. The first three days at my new duty station were spent in indoctrination, and with the rest of the newcomers, I was restricted to base while we taught all about our future duties as base security forces and what problems we faced if we violated any of the local laws. This was extremely important...

I can’t think of anything else.” “I’ll see you in five weeks,” Elyse said, giving me a quick hug. “Did you see they rioted in Vancouver last night because they lost the Stanley Cup?” I chuckled, “Only Canadians would riot when they LOSE the Cup! A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 5 Housemates

August 1981, Chicago, Illinois On Sunday morning, I made my usual call to Karin. I described everything in the apartment and all the things I’d done during the week, including the reception. Both of us would start school in a week and we were both looking forward to it. When we finished talking, I went out for my run, showered, and ate breakfast. I made some tea, started a load of laundry, and then turned on the stereo. I put on an REO Speedwagon album and then relaxed on the couch with the...

August 21, 1989, Chicago, Illinois “Unbelievable,” I said when I read the headline from the Chicago Tribune. “It says here that Solidarity activist Tadeusz Mazowiecki was nominated to be Prime Minister of Poland.” I hadn’t had a chance to read the paper on Sunday because it hadn’t been delivered before we left for the race track in Michigan. “So now what?” Kara asked. “We’re in totally uncharted territory. July, 1983, Chicago, Illinois I woke up early on the First of July, because my body clock was still set to Swedish time. The flight back had been long but uneventful, and I was happy that the businessman in the seat next to me hadn’t wanted to talk. I read, wrote some longhand journal entries, ate, and generally relaxed while the plane zipped over the Atlantic. I’d come home, taken a sauna, eaten a light meal, and gone straight to bed, not bothering to check messages, look at the mail that...

June 1977 When I got home, I grabbed a Coke and some chips and went right to my room. I didn’t think I could deal with my parents or Jeff or Stephanie. I just needed to be by myself. That wouldn’t seem odd to anyone, because I often went to my room to read. In addition, I now had the TV I’d received for my birthday. I flipped it on to WXIX Channel 19 and reruns of Gilligan’s Island and Green Acres played in the background while I read. I had to get my mind clear for the final exams that...

Fucking Lena

“Fuck...” Moaned a soft voice, “You fucked me good...” Your eyes open. That sweet compliment came from your girlfriend, Lena. You look at her, she rests looking messy beside you, the small bed barely keeps her from falling. She might be young but what she doesn’t have in age she makes in experience. As your eyes pose on her, the focus becomes her black hair. It rests on her shoulders delicately, decorating her thin face as if it was meant by some godly being for her to be in that bed right...

March 25, 2000, Chicago, Illinois “What time do I need to have you home?” “8:00pm will be fine,” Misty replied. “My parents are in Normal visiting my brother at Illinois State. They aren’t supposed to be home before 10:00pm.” Misty and I were in my car on the way to the NIKA apartment which, fortunately, was not being used. A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 7 Setting the Course of My Life

June 1977 Friday ended up being a non-event. The more I thought about it, the more I was sure that there was no way on this earth I could say what happened between Birgit and me was a sin. Calling it a sin would debase it into a meaningless act. I could never do that. And the more I thought about Jennie McGrath, the more sure I was that I couldn’t call what she did for me a sin, either. If the church was right, I was going to hell. And frankly, there was no way that could be true. So I...

May 14, 1997, Chicago, Illinois “Start talking!” Melanie demanded when I sat down in her office about an hour later. “There isn’t much to say. Katya found the information for me when I asked her to look into several things about Brandon Littleton, Kevin Lomax, and John Milton.” “Do you know more about him?” “A LOT more. I don’t think you want to know.” “Probably not, but I’m your criminal defense attorney, and even though San Antonio doesn’t have you involved in this, you know the CPD...

The Three Signs Book 2 LoriChapter 28 Live at the Lifesaver

“So, how should we do these Stone’s songs?” Phil asked at our rehearsal session. “I think we all know the music, we just need to come up with a pretty awesome arrangement; we don’t want to sound like yet another cheap cover band.” “I had some ideas, if it’s okay for me to make some suggestions,” Allison said. “Of course it is,” Phil said. “Everyone can have a say, there’s no rule that says you can’t participate in the discussion.” “Thanks, Phil, I guess being the newest here, I’m a bit...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 5 MichelleChapter 77 Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous Part I

May 11, 1992, Chicago, Illinois Monday was turning out to be a LONG day. After my run and talk with Gina, and my talk with Elyse, I had a full day at the office scheduled. First was our leadership meeting in the morning, and then I had status meetings with each team. At lunch I’d gone to see Siobhán and explained that I was going to break off the sexual relationship, but that I wanted to remain friends. She was disappointed, but admitted that Thursday would have been the last time, since she...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 23 So Now You Turn Back Into Diana Prince

January 19, 1989, En-Route from LAX to ORD When the engines of the plane started, Jeri reached over and took my hand. She held it while we pushed away from the gate, and taxied for takeoff. Her grip tightened a bit as we hurtled down the runway, but nothing like the death grip she’d had on my arm for the flight out. The plane roared its way into the air and once we leveled out, Jeri’s grip loosened but she didn’t let go of my hand. “How are you doing?” I asked with a touch of...

A WellLived Life Book 7 Kara IIChapter 34 Old Routines and New Ideas

September 1982, Chicago, Illinois The weekend was quiet and besides homework, I worked on the program changes for Frank, called Karin, Tatyana, and Kara, and hung out with my usual study group. Monday was refreshingly normal. On Tuesday morning, I handed Katy my completed intake form. She put it in an envelope and stuck it in her bag. She said she’d let me know soon about the interview. On Tuesday afternoon, after having lunch with Stephie, I made my rounds and then I headed over to Sigma...

A WellLived Life Book 7 Kara IIChapter 35 An Interview and Some New Friends

October 1982, Chicago, Illinois The drive back to Chicago was as uneventful as usual, and I arrived at the apartment just before 6:00pm. When I arrived, Elyse and Stephie were sitting on the couch and Jackie was sitting on the loveseat. Stephie hopped up as I opened the door and greeted me with a hug and a kiss. “Hi, Peaches!” I said. “Glad you’re home, Yankee!” “Hi, Steve,” Elyse and Jackie both said. “Hey,” I replied. “How was the weekend?” “Well, it was just Kurt with me, Stephie,...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 52 Lifestyle Choices

June 11, 1989, Chicago, Illinois It was just after 3:00am when I kissed Trish goodbye. She’d been an enthusiastic, energetic, and adventurous lover. We’d done just about anything either of us could think of, though her breasts weren’t large enough for a tit-fuck. The last time had been in the shower where we’d ostensibly gone to clean up afterwards, but instead I ended up taking her from behind as she leaned against the wall of the shower. “I think I’ll have you again, Steve Adams,” she...

A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 38 Freshman Year Ends

May 1978 The first couple of weeks in May were busy with school, work, and friends. Except for Becky, I didn’t even have any dates. But I was OK with that. Well, almost OK. I wanted to see Anna, but it likely wasn’t going to happen until school was out. I had tutoring sessions with Melanie, but she still wouldn’t talk to me about anything other than Spanish. Barely a hello. I was grateful for the tutoring, but it was maddening seeing my friend this way. I hoped someday she could understand...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 44 Spring Break 1982 Part I

March, 1982, Milford, Ohio As I drove along I-65, I thought about what Stephanie had asked for and what Bethany had said without even knowing about the request. Of course, because Bethany and I were so in tune, she might have actually had an idea that I was struggling with getting involved with my sister again. I kept turning it over and over in my mind and I kept coming to the same conclusion — that I shouldn’t do it. I was torn between doing what Stephanie wanted and doing what Kara and...

September 7, 1992, Chicago, Illinois “That went reasonably well,” Michelle said when her parents drove off. “There were a few times I thought my expression would give away something I shouldn’t. You were messing with me, weren’t you?” She grabbed both my hands and smiled, “I was telling the truth, in my own way. Thank you!” She leaned forward and kissed my cheek. “So, what’s left?” I asked. “To visit UofC tomorrow and formally withdraw from classes. To spend some time with you and your...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 14 A Southern Belle a Surprise Proposal two Cheerleaders an Old Flame and a Girl Back Home Part I

October 1981, Chicago, Illinois I arrived back at the apartment just before 10:00pm and saw the address for the party. I decided I wasn’t particularly interested in going so I put on some music, poured myself a glass of wine, and started reading more about Russia. I was alternating between the history and culture book and the Communist Party book, decided on the history and culture book for this time. I didn’t get much reading done because I was thinking about Tatyana, which led me to...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 9 KamiChapter 38 And Sometimes It Stinks To Be Big

January 23, 1996, Chicago, Illinois “Father, bless!” I said, greeting Father Basil with upturned palms. “Bless you, Stephen,” he said as I kissed his hand. The waiter showed us to a quiet table along the wall of Roditys in Greektown. He took our drink orders and was back quickly. We placed our food orders right away and he left to put them in with the kitchen. “I’m not quite sure how to address this, so I’m just going to ask you bluntly. Are you the father of Michelle’s baby?” I shook my...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 8 NIKAChapter 68 The Rules

June 29, 1995, Chicago, Illinois On Thursday, I finally had lunch with Melissa again, something I hadn’t been looking forward to. Much like with Cèlia, Melissa and I had passed an inflection point and I was left with sub-optimal paths forward. I’d been struggling with the possible solutions, and all of them had pitfalls. When I walked into Takumi, I had something of a plan. Whether it was good or not would only be known once everything played out. “I spoke to my wives,” I said after we’d...

December 5, 2000, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota “I had a good time last night,” I said. “I was surprised you invited a friend!” Mary laughed as we walked into the exam room, “Naomi had a good time as well. You know what a Resident’s life is like.” I nodded, “No social life.” “Exactly. You guys seemed to hit it off pretty well.” “Yes, but I’m not here for that!” “You’re everywhere for that, and you know it!” I couldn’t help but laugh. “Let’s just say that you hit the sweet spot -...

A WellLived Life Book 3 PiaChapter 25 The Puzzle and the Cat Part II

March 1980, Hovås/Göteborg, Sweden I woke early as usual, but just enjoyed being in bed with Katt. When she woke, she hopped out of bed and pulled a robe out of her closet and handed it to me. “There’s a spare toothbrush in the bathroom. Go have your shower, then we’ll have breakfast after I have my shower.” I quickly showered and brushed my teeth, and went back to Katt’s room. She went to shower and came back a few minutes later. She dressed, and I got a very good look at her sexy body...

April 5, 1997, Chicago, Illinois “You missed cuddles this morning!” Birgit said accusingly when I walked into the house about 9:30am. “I know, Pumpkin, but I had a work emergency and had to go see Aunt Joyce and Grandpa A.” “And now we have to get ready for karate!” “I know. We’ll have some family time this afternoon. I don’t have any plans.” “Good!” I hugged her and the rest of the kids, then went to find Kara. We hugged and kissed, and went straight upstairs to get ready for...

September 3, 1989, Chicago, Illinois “Good morning, Sensei,” I said, bowing to Sensei Jim. “Good morning!” he said waving me to a chair in his office. “How was your trip?” I asked. “Enlightening. I spent most of my time acting as a manservant to Sensei Robert and Sensei Hiro.” “He who will lead, must first serve,” I said. “Someday, I’m going to send you to Sensei Hiro, should he live long enough. October 29, 2000, Chicago, Illinois Birgit followed me as far as the stairs, then scooted upstairs when I went to the front door and opened it. “Hi!” Sophie said. “Hi!” I replied and held the door open so she could come into the house. I closed the door behind her then led her to my study where I waited until she went in, and then walked in, closing the door behind me. I nodded to one of the wingback chairs, she sat down in one, and I sat down in the other. “Is something wrong?” she...

A WellLived Life Book 8 StephieChapter 61 Anala Part II

August, 1983, Chicago, Illinois I walked in the near 90°F heat to Carla’s place. I was grateful that the humidity of the morning had dropped significantly; otherwise the heat would have been unbearable. By the time I walked up the steps to the apartment over the photography studio and knocked on her door, I had broken into a light sweat. Carla answered almost immediately and invited me inside her studio apartment. The air was moderately cool, and the window air conditioner was running full...

July 1982, Milford, Ohio On Tuesday morning, I kissed Kara goodbye and headed to my parents’ house for my usual morning routine with my little sister. She was happy that I could spend the morning with her and asked to take a walk, so we weren’t in the house with my mom. “Let me guess — this walk will end in the clearing,” I said with a smile. “Yes,” she said, taking my hand as we walked down Overlook towards Klondyke. As usual, we turned around and walked back, taking the path to the...

March 13, 1994, Chicago, Illinois “Hi, Steve!” Ailea said when she opened the door. “Hi,” I replied, accepting the offered hug. There was no touching of lips, just of cheeks, and I wondered if I’d misread her intentions at her birthday lunch, or if, perhaps, she detected my reluctance to return the offered affection. “Lunch is ready, so go ahead and sit. I’ll bring it in from the kitchen.” I went to the low table, sat down, and a minute later, Ailea brought miso soup and sushi, our usual...

Malena

Malena sat thinking about her sister, Makaela. Malena had just watched her sister being thoroughly spanked. Her sister bent over a chair, while her mother had stood behind her with a wicked switch. The house was filled with the 'swishhh' of the switch, and Makaela’s shrill screams of promising to be a good girl and begging for it to stop. Her mother did not stop spanking Makaela until every inch of her bottom and upper thighs were crimson. Malena looked almost exactly like her sister....

A WellLived Life 2 Book 10 BridgetChapter 72 An Explosive Discovery

April 3, 1997, Dallas, Texas “Remember what I said about drinking too much,” I said, as I poured bourbon into three cups. We’d stopped at a liquor store, bought a bottle of Blanton’s, and then returned to the small suite I’d reserved at the Westin. Deborah’s room was down the hall, and Krissy’s was two floors below. Krissy’s comment had caught me a bit off guard, but I hadn’t reacted visibly. I didn’t know her quite well enough to know if she’d been teasing with Deborah, so I was being...

March 28, 1991, Chicago, Illinois “This day belongs to you, Kara!” I said when the three of us woke on Thursday morning. “Happy birthday!” Jessica said. “Thanks,” Kara replied happily. “I think I’d like an amazing birthday fuck from our husband, and then a nice loving shower with my wife!” Kara said. “Do we have enough time?” I asked. Jessica giggled, “I set the alarm for thirty minutes earlier!” “Then let’s not waste any of it!” I said pulling Kara to me. Kara’s squeals as I plunged...

September 1, 1987, Chicago, Illinois “I heard that you have some kind of plan to help Ed,” I said to Connie. “There’s no plan,” she replied. “A witness who saw the shopkeeper alive after Ed left came forward.” That sounded convenient, and I wondered if the witness was real or someone that Anthony had put forward to solve the problem. Certainly, the videotape was real, because I couldn’t imagine how Anthony could have faked that, but the witness? Who knew? “So is he being released? Or is...

August 17, 1997, Chicago, Illinois We finished lunch and Marissa and the younger kids went to play, but Natalie sat with the adults to talk, with coffee, tea, or soft drinks. The Sarcus were very comfortable, but the Heaths were still struggling. But, vitally, they hadn’t left and hadn’t insisted Natalie leave the group. “Can you explain how you developed this attitude and approach?” Chris asked. I nodded, “It started when I was just a bit younger than Natalie. My mom was a total control...

July 1979 — Falkenberg, Sweden On Friday, when I got back from my run, Pam was in her bra and panties again. I whistled at her, she giggled, then finished dressing. I showered, and we went to breakfast and finished up our last day. Once class was done, we were pretty much free. On Saturday, we’d have several optional activities and then on Sunday we’d head back to our host families. After dinner on Friday, I took Pam’s hand and we walked towards the river. It was quiet and peaceful, and...

July 1980, Over the North Atlantic We reached cruising altitude, and I settled back to read my book. Pam raised the armrest between us, snuggled close to me and read as well. July 8, 1997, Chicago, Illinois “Is it really that surprising?” Leah asked. “I suppose not,” I replied. “I just didn’t read too much into the kiss on the cheek.” “I didn’t think it was a good idea to kiss you on the lips with all those people around, because I had no idea who they were or what they would think. You were VERY careful with our dance, so I kind of followed your lead.” Which showed very mature thinking on her part. Both of these girls were exactly the kind of students I...

November 8, 1993, Chicago, Illinois A dark fog swirled before my eyes as I tried to take stock. My head hurt, badly. I felt something on my face and realized, dimly, it was an oxygen mask. My right hand was uncomfortable and I recognized the feeling of an IV and pulse-oximeter. My left arm ached fiercely. On my chest I felt the pads and wires of an EKG. I didn’t feel anything else wrong as I continued taking inventory. I tried to open my eyes, but the fog didn’t clear. I tried to speak, but...

August, 1983, Chicago, Illinois In the morning Anala and I ran as we had the previous time, then showered together, carefully washing each other’s bodies in an intimate but non-sexual way. After our shower we went to the kitchen and I made breakfast and we sat down to eat. “Steve, may I make a suggestion?” she asked. “Sure.” “Broaden your circle of friends. Other than me, all of you are white, nominally Christian, 20-year-old Americans. And you don’t invite me to your Sunday...
