September 25, 1993, Chicago, Illinois

“How is she today?” I asked just before lunch.

“No change,” Jorge said. “We’re going to dinner and a movie again tonight.”

“What are you seeing?”

“The new Scorsese movie, The Age of Innocence.”

“It had good reviews. Don’t let her keep you away from Trish, please.”

“The Saturdays we don’t have the guys and girls gatherings, Trish goes to visit her parents.”

“OK, then don’t get sucked into Jessica’s psychosis or neurosis or whatever the heck you want to call it.”

“We all have our issues,” he sighed.

“Don’t I know it! But Jessica is the ultimate taker.”

“And I’ve been kicked around like a mangy dog,” he sighed, then added ruefully, “We’re perfect for each other.”

“I really do appreciate you taking the kids to see her. Has she asked about Birgit and Stephie?”

“Yes. But she’s afraid to confront Birgit.”

I laughed, “I am afraid to confront Birgit!”

Jorge laughed, “We need to get Jesse to do our dirty work for us! He’s fearless!”

“So true! See you for lunch on Tuesday?”

“I’ll be there. Sixty-five Chinese again?”

I nodded, “It’s good, inexpensive, and right between our workplaces.”

Jorge and I shook hands and he headed out. Samantha arrived for lunch, and after we ate, we went to my study.

“I had lunch with Wanda and Lena yesterday,” I said. “She’s still under house arrest with no relief in sight.”

“Her dad must be a complete control freak!” Samantha said with a frown. “They’re Lebanese, right?”

“Yes, and extremely conservative. I had an idea for something I wanted to propose to you. We’ve run into a number of girls who have parents who are control freaks to one extent or another. Ellie and Lena are prime examples. What would you say about setting up a scholarship fund that let girls like that pay their tuition plus room and board so they could escape from those bad situations?”

“Interesting,” Samantha said. “Are you thinking just girls?”

“Most guys don’t have the same problem, but I suppose Jorge is an example of one who does.”

“So are you, though you fought it tooth and nail and had help from your dad.”

“True.”

“What would the criteria be? Living at home and parents paying tuition? How would you know the parents are control freaks? It’s going to be tough to decide if someone is telling the truth or not.”

“I didn’t quite think that through,” I said.

“Do you know what Lena’s major is?”

“History. She wants to be a High School teacher.”

“Let me think about it, but I’m concerned that it would be too easy to game. And I can’t really justify a Spurgeon Capital scholarship. We do have some for business and finance majors who agreed to get Master’s degrees and work for us for five years after graduation.”

“Whatever you do, please don’t tailor it directly for Lena. It needs to work in the general case.”

“What she needs is a sugar daddy!” Samantha giggled. “She is cute and I bet she was fun!”

“That’s the LAST thing I need right now,” I chuckled. “I have too many other irons in the fire. Not to mention I don’t make THAT much money at this point!”

Samantha smiled, “And if you had your choice of which iron to put in which fire, you’d pick Liz!”

“That might be true,” I chuckled, remembering how much I enjoyed my time with Liz.

“Might?” Samantha laughed. “She was your favorite, without question! And if you want her when she comes home on break, just let me know and I’ll tell her. She’ll be VERY happy to ‘adult’ with you again!”

I laughed hard, we hugged, and Samantha left to head back to her dorm to do homework before a date with Brian.

“My turn!” Michelle said coming to the door of my study.

“Come in,” I said. “What can I do for you?”

She came inside and shut the door, and leaned back against it.

“You can tell me why you won’t come to my bed,” she said, sounding annoyed.

“My natural conservatism,” I said.

“I think you still see me as a nun,” Michelle said accusingly.

“That’s probably true,” I sighed.

“I never took any vows,” she said.

“Including to God?” I asked. “Or to yourself?”

She shook her head, “I simply prayed for God to show me his will, and give me the wisdom to know what to do each day and the strength to do it. When I went to the monastery, I simply vowed to be obedient to the abbess and listen to her counsel.”

I nodded and wondered if this was what Kara had detected, and had simply thought it was about other girls, when, ultimately, it was about being afraid of the consequences of being physically intimate with Michelle. I’d had this discussion with Kara and she’d told me that my mind now only saw her as a nun and that I couldn’t imagine having sex with a nun. And she was right.

But, as Kara had pointed out, Michelle wasn’t a nun when we made love - she was a confused teenager. And, now, a year later, that was true again. Actually, both things were true - I saw her as a nun in my mind and she was a confused young woman, now twenty, but in many ways, still a teenager.

“It’s difficult for me to see you as not being a nun,” I said. “My mind keeps flashing back to you in that simple monastic garb I saw you in back in Ellwood City.”

Michelle frowned, and after a few seconds, turned and locked the door. She faced me again, and pulled her lavender-colored sweater over her head, revealing a lacy white bra.

“Michelle...” I protested.

She touched her finger to her lips, then unbuttoned her jeans and pushed them down, revealing matching white lace panties. She slipped off her socks, then removed her bra and panties.

“And now?” she asked. “Do I look like a nun?”

I shook my head, and softly responded, “No.”

She came over to me and took my hand. I let her lead me to one of the wingback chairs. She pushed down my sweatpants and briefs, then gently pushed me back into the chair.

Michelle knelt before me, grasped my semi-erect shaft and gently stroked me until I was hard. She smiled at me, blushed, then lowered her head and took me into her mouth. She sucked gently and swirled her tongue around my glans, then released me. She looked up and directly into my eyes.

“Would a nun do THAT?” she asked softly.

“No,” I whispered.

Michelle lowered her head and slowly took me into her mouth, sucking on me and swirling her tongue around my glans while she gently stroked my shaft with her hand. She began slowly moving up and down, and made love to me with her mouth. I relaxed and let her bring me to the edge, warning her of the impending eruption. She lashed my glans with her tongue while pumping my shaft and I exploded into her mouth. Michelle swallowed each spurt and after the last one, removed her hand and slowly, inexorably, took nearly all of my shaft into her mouth, sucking gently and sliding her tongue around. After perhaps a minute, she lifted off.

“And would a nun do THAT?” she asked.

“No,” I said with a smile.

I took her hand and pulled her up and into my lap, exchanging a deep French kiss, and then she cuddled tightly to me.

“Now will you come to bed with me?”

“Yes,” I said.

She giggled, “Good! Then tonight I want you to fuck me silly!”

“Michelle!” I gasped.

“What? I just had your penis in my mouth, made you ejaculate, and swallowed your semen. And you complain I used that word?”

“It’s just not you,” I said.

“Tonight, you are going to put your penis in my vagina, repeatedly, and cause me to have innumerable orgasms. Then do it again. And again. You’re also going to pleasure me by using your tongue and mouth on my clitoris. Again, repeatedly. What word would YOU use to describe that?”

“Making love?” I offered.

Michelle smiled, “The first time you came to my bed? Yes. The second? Yes. But what about when you took me to that studio apartment?”

She had a very good point. The first two times we’d been together had been lovemaking. The time in the apartment was different. That had been Michelle wanting to do something she, at the time, felt she would never, ever do again. If the first two encounters were making love, then that third one was definitely ‘fucking’.

“I concede your point,” I said. “I’m sorry.”

“For what? Treating me like a human being? Being concerned about my feelings? Being concerned about the existential contradictions I’m dealing with? For worrying about my spiritual condition? Don’t apologize for any that!”

“So what should I apologize for?”

“For being a «jävla idiot»!” she giggled.

I grinned, “OK. Who have you been talking to?”

“You promise not to get upset?”

“I promise!”

“Kara, Bethany, Elyse, Abbie, Jennifer, and Samantha. Oh,” she added with a smirk, “and your eldest daughter!”

I couldn’t help but laugh hard, “Now I KNOW I’m doomed. I’m curious, what did Birgit have to say?”

“That her daddy was wonderful and that if I wanted you to kiss me, I should ask you to do it!”

“I’m going to kill her!” I said, still laughing.

“Why? It was cute!”

“Michelle, do you know what my kids, other than Jesse and Matthew, mean when they say ‘kiss’?”

“Uh-oh. What did I miss?”

“For them, kissing makes babies. Birgit knows that’s not the mechanics, but that’s her ‘polite’ version of telling you to ask me to have sex with you!”

“No way!” Michelle gasped.

“She knew we had sex that first night. She was waiting at the top of the stairs. I call her the ‘Neighborhood Watch’ because she knows everything that goes on.”

“Oops.”

“Don’t worry about it. Let me guess, Bethany and Kara, at least, told you that you would have to take the lead.”

“Yes. Abbie did too, but she was very blunt about it. Too blunt, really, so I decided on a different approach.”

“Of course she was blunt! Let me guess, she told you to simply throw me down on the ground and have sex with me!”

“Actually, she said I should rip your clothes off and ‘fuck you like it was the last time we would ever do it’ because otherwise, you would make me wait forever.”

“I’ve had that conversation with her before,” I chuckled.

“About Bethany.”

“The girls are ganging up on me again,” I sighed.

“They all told me I would have to force the issue to get you past your mental block,” she smiled. “How did I do?”

“You know, it’s difficult to judge from a single sample,” I grinned.

“Do you remember what I said to you in Pennsylvania?”

“Yes, you said ‘Behold, your handmaiden. Do with me what you will!’.”

“Then do that. I’m yours in any way you wish. I want a strong, powerful man who is in control. There is just one thing I need from you.”

“And that is?”

“For you to love me.”

“You know I love you,” I said.

“Good. I have permission from Kara to spend as much time with you today as I want, and as much as you’re OK with, and to take you to my bed tonight. And she told me to decide on a night I want to be with you. I was thinking Friday, if that’s OK. That way it’s not a school night!”

“May I ask how you’re going to handle things at church?”

“What’s the Orthodox perspective on your question?”

I smiled, “That I should work out my own salvation. And unless I’m your spiritual father, priest, or bishop, your salvation is none of my business. But you know I’m concerned about you.”

“I do. And this is something I have to work out for myself. I’ve had some very, very long talks with Kara about it since I came home. I don’t talk about it with the other girls because they have no idea what I’m struggling with. Kara does.”

“Your struggles are eerily similar,” I said.

“As are our solutions.”

I considered her response - was she, in her indirect way, telling me she would accept the concept that Kara and I had discussed? Had she and Kara talked about it? Was this the time to ask the beautiful, naked girl sitting in my lap about that? I thought it would be better to continue slowly along the path. I’d moved too slowly for Michelle, but what had just happened, and what was going to happen in her room later, were both logical steps brought on directly by her decision to return to Chicago.

I also had to consider what would happen should Jessica return. Each day I felt that possibility was more and more remote, but even if it wasn’t probable, it was still possible. I also had to consider that even with Kara’s proposed way forward, I couldn’t satisfy one of Michelle’s desires - to be a mother. I couldn’t give her children, and if that was something that was as important to her as it was to Kara, then Michelle was, eventually, going to find someone who could, despite her wish to only ever be with one man.

“To a point,” I said.

“Well, yes,” she sighed, snuggling closer.

“And you’re going to be happy?”

“Happier than in any other situation I could actually find myself,” Michelle said.

“That’s an interesting way to put it.”

“Wasn’t one of the lessons you’ve been trying to teach Samantha is that we can’t have everything we want and that we should be thankful and happy with what we have?”

“That’s true.”

“Is Kara in her ideal situation?”

“That’s actually a good question,” I said. “Before her meltdown, her ideal situation was being my wife, being mother to my children, and the two of us being monogamous. After her meltdown, it was to be with me for the rest of her life, and to have children together.”

“And she’s happy?”

“Minus the problems with Jessica, yes, I’d say she is.”

“And you’re happy?”

“Again, minus the situation with Jessica, yes.”

“And I’m happy. Is this perfect? No. Is it what I had planned for my life? No. Is it where I find myself based on decisions I made purposefully and with significant thought? Yes. And if you’re worried about moving past some ‘tipping point’, that happened when the blood ran out onto my sheet.”

“No regrets?”

Michelle smiled, “Only that I didn’t find you before Kara did.”

“You would have been seven!” I chuckled.

“OK, so perhaps that wasn’t the right way to put what I meant!” she said with a soft giggle.

I used my hand to gently raise Michelle’s chin so that I could kiss her softly.

“Do you want to go upstairs and make love?” I asked.

She giggled and blushed, “No, today we’re going to fuck! We can make love next time!”

I laughed and was tempted to have her walk up to her room naked, but I didn’t think she was ready for that, and it was entirely possible that Ed and Stephanie were at the house. Michelle got off my lap and quickly dressed. I stood and pulled up my underwear and pants, and then we left my study and walked hand in hand upstairs to her room. We quickly undressed and got into her bed. After doing exactly what Michelle had requested, twice, we showered and went downstairs to make dinner.

After dinner, Kara, Michelle, and I went to see Malice, a thriller starring Alec Baldwin and Nicole Kidman. We all enjoyed the movie, and afterwards, we went for ice cream. After we finished our treat, we headed home. We went upstairs, I kissed Kara, Michelle hugged her, and then I followed Michelle into her room.

“The latest sales projections are flat,” I said at our leadership meeting.

“Yes,” Cindi said with a nod, “but I think it’s a short-term issue. We’ve focused on and targeted mid-size firms, and we’ve done so well that there are fewer firms to target and the sales cycle has become longer. I’m going to have most of the team focus on smaller firms. There are so many of them that even though we’ll mostly sell the ‘light’ version or small-office licenses, we’ll see an increase in revenues. I do need to hire an additional sales person in Pittsburgh, because Mario and I are going to focus on big, national or multi-national firms.”

A WellLived Life 2 Book 5 MichelleChapter 78 Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous Part II

May 15, 1992, Glencoe, Illinois “Join me in my study, if you would,” Noel Spurgeon said when we finished our dessert. It had been an interesting evening. Samantha and I had talked for a bit before we’d been summoned to dinner. The meal had been prepared by a chef and was served by a white-coated young man. Again, this was a far cry from Lois at the van Hoeks’ house. What wasn’t a far cry was the fact that I was having dinner with a man who knew I was going to be sleeping with his daughter...

A WellLived Life Book 2 JenniferChapter 33 Resolving a Core Issue

November 1978 I woke up Monday morning feeling uneasy about everything. The last week had brought to the surface some kind of problem with Jennifer. I couldn’t put my finger on what was wrong. I knew she was unhappy with Melanie. Her visceral reaction to Melanie was similar to her original reaction to Becky. It made me wonder if the same would come for Joyce at some time. What would I do in that case? I could understand better if Jennifer hadn’t refused my offer of a promise ring. I had...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 14 A Southern Belle a Surprise Proposal two Cheerleaders an Old Flame and a Girl Back Home Part I

October 1981, Chicago, Illinois I arrived back at the apartment just before 10:00pm and saw the address for the party. I decided I wasn’t particularly interested in going so I put on some music, poured myself a glass of wine, and started reading more about Russia. I was alternating between the history and culture book and the Communist Party book, decided on the history and culture book for this time. I didn’t get much reading done because I was thinking about Tatyana, which led me to...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 7 SakurakoChapter 57 Land of the Rising Sun Part III

June 23, 1994, Oguni, Yamagata Prefecture, Japan My first week in Japan flew by, and a routine developed. Sakurako would wake me; I’d exercise and run, then shower and have breakfast, and share tea with Sakurako. After breakfast, I’d meditate, and then have my training session. After lunch, I’d work in the garden, or, as I had this day, wash the floors in the house. Hiroshi would accompany me back to the cottage and we’d talk while I washed up and dressed for dinner. After dinner, I’d spend...

June 15, 1994, Chicago, Illinois “That’s everything, I think,” I said. “My luggage is in the trunk of the car, I have my passport, tickets, and money, both dollars and yen. I can’t think of anything else.” “I’ll see you in five weeks,” Elyse said, giving me a quick hug. “Did you see they rioted in Vancouver last night because they lost the Stanley Cup?” I chuckled, “Only Canadians would riot when they LOSE the Cup! I did see that on the front page of the Trib. Are we ready?” “Michelle and...

May 26, 1991, Iron Mountain, Michigan “Shall we see if we can find a farm?” I asked at breakfast on Sunday morning. “That sounds like a great idea,” Jessica said. “There’s a visitor’s bureau in town,” Kara said. “I saw it when we were here the first time.” “I’m sorry I ruined that vacation,” Jessica said. “Ruined?” I protested. “Are you kidding? Getting you back was way more important than a few days of vacation!” “I agree,” Kara added. “Jess, you know exactly how bad off Steve was...

A WellLived Life Book 10 The WifeChapter 14 Katherine Victoria Will

January, 1985, Chicago, Illinois I arrived back in Hyde Park about ten minutes before the end of the Super Bowl. It didn’t look like it had been much of a contest, given that the score was 38-16, with San Francisco trouncing Miami. I grabbed a Coke and some chips and sat down on the couch next to Julia and Dave. In the room, besides my housemates, were Jamie, Kenneth, Kurt, Kathy, Jorge, George, Charlie, Bert, and Wen. “Julia, I got approval from both guys in Cincinnati,” I said. She...

Loosening Up Book 9 Fantasies Among the WeedsChapter 2 Phi Theta Rho Party Again

Late on Saturday afternoon Dave shifted into his job as one of the bartenders for the Circle. Just as he was ready for a first customer, Emma came racing up to the bar. She was alone and only wearing a monokini, unlike a few hours earlier when her parents and younger sister had visited and she was dressed conservatively. She extended her body over the bar and kissed Dave. “Thank you for being so nice to my parents and sister.” “Of course. They’re nice people. I take it they don’t know a...

July 22, 2000, Chicago, Illinois “Albert, do you have everything packed?” Mom asked. “Yes, Mom!” I replied, rolling my eyes because she’d asked before I went to bed. “He’ll be fine, Babe,” Dad said. “Let’s walk to the hospital.” I usually didn’t get up early, but Dad had suggested it would help Mom if I walked to the hospital with her because I was leaving to see Jane for three weeks. A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 5 Housemates

August 1981, Chicago, Illinois On Sunday morning, I made my usual call to Karin. I described everything in the apartment and all the things I’d done during the week, including the reception. Both of us would start school in a week and we were both looking forward to it. When we finished talking, I went out for my run, showered, and ate breakfast. I made some tea, started a load of laundry, and then turned on the stereo. I put on an REO Speedwagon album and then relaxed on the couch with the...

August 21, 1989, Chicago, Illinois “Unbelievable,” I said when I read the headline from the Chicago Tribune. “It says here that Solidarity activist Tadeusz Mazowiecki was nominated to be Prime Minister of Poland.” I hadn’t had a chance to read the paper on Sunday because it hadn’t been delivered before we left for the race track in Michigan. “So now what?” Kara asked. “We’re in totally uncharted territory. A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 4 Calm Before the Storm

June 1977 When I got home, I grabbed a Coke and some chips and went right to my room. I didn’t think I could deal with my parents or Jeff or Stephanie. I just needed to be by myself. That wouldn’t seem odd to anyone, because I often went to my room to read. In addition, I now had the TV I’d received for my birthday. I flipped it on to WXIX Channel 19 and reruns of Gilligan’s Island and Green Acres played in the background while I read. I had to get my mind clear for the final exams that...

July, 1983, Chicago, Illinois I woke up early on the First of July, because my body clock was still set to Swedish time. The flight back had been long but uneventful, and I was happy that the businessman in the seat next to me hadn’t wanted to talk. I read, wrote some longhand journal entries, ate, and generally relaxed while the plane zipped over the Atlantic. A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 7 Setting the Course of My Life

June 1977 Friday ended up being a non-event. The more I thought about it, the more I was sure that there was no way on this earth I could say what happened between Birgit and me was a sin. Calling it a sin would debase it into a meaningless act. I could never do that. And the more I thought about Jennie McGrath, the more sure I was that I couldn’t call what she did for me a sin, either. If the church was right, I was going to hell. And frankly, there was no way that could be true. So I...

The Three Signs Book 2 LoriChapter 28 Live at the Lifesaver

“So, how should we do these Stone’s songs?” Phil asked at our rehearsal session. “I think we all know the music, we just need to come up with a pretty awesome arrangement; we don’t want to sound like yet another cheap cover band.” “I had some ideas, if it’s okay for me to make some suggestions,” Allison said. “Of course it is,” Phil said. “Everyone can have a say, there’s no rule that says you can’t participate in the discussion.” “Thanks, Phil, I guess being the newest here, I’m a bit...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 5 MichelleChapter 77 Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous Part I

May 11, 1992, Chicago, Illinois Monday was turning out to be a LONG day. After my run and talk with Gina, and my talk with Elyse, I had a full day at the office scheduled. First was our leadership meeting in the morning, and then I had status meetings with each team. At lunch I’d gone to see Siobhán and explained that I was going to break off the sexual relationship, but that I wanted to remain friends. She was disappointed, but admitted that Thursday would have been the last time, since she...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 23 So Now You Turn Back Into Diana Prince

January 19, 1989, En-Route from LAX to ORD When the engines of the plane started, Jeri reached over and took my hand. She held it while we pushed away from the gate, and taxied for takeoff. Her grip tightened a bit as we hurtled down the runway, but nothing like the death grip she’d had on my arm for the flight out. The plane roared its way into the air and once we leveled out, Jeri’s grip loosened but she didn’t let go of my hand. “How are you doing?” I asked with a touch of...

Sins from my Stepmother Complete Book 1

I My name is Teddy Carlson. I’m twenty-two years old and I fucked my stepmother. Not just once in some momentary lapse of judgement. But again and again…and again. Before you judge me, there’s a few things you need to understand. First, Dad and I never exactly got on like a house on fire. He was the CIO of a large hedge fund which meant that he wasn’t around much. He travelled to Europe regularly and commuted during the week to Manhattan for meetings. When he was home, he was either...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 16 A Southern Belle a Surprise Proposal two Cheerleaders an Old Flame and a Girl Back Home Part I

October 1981, Chicago, Illinois I went to my room, closed the door and dialed my old number in Milford and Stephanie answered. “Hi, Stephanie!” “Hey, Big Bro! How’s Chicago?” “Pretty good. A lot of stuff is happening. But I have a favor to ask. Well, really, it’s a favor from Ed. I’m coming home this weekend and I was wondering if I could borrow the keys to the apartment.” “You and Kara? On Saturday? I’m sure the answer is yes. Where are you staying?” “I was going to call Mrs. Spencer...

A WellLived Life Book 7 Kara IIChapter 34 Old Routines and New Ideas

September 1982, Chicago, Illinois The weekend was quiet and besides homework, I worked on the program changes for Frank, called Karin, Tatyana, and Kara, and hung out with my usual study group. Monday was refreshingly normal. On Tuesday morning, I handed Katy my completed intake form. She put it in an envelope and stuck it in her bag. She said she’d let me know soon about the interview. On Tuesday afternoon, after having lunch with Stephie, I made my rounds and then I headed over to Sigma...

A WellLived Life Book 7 Kara IIChapter 35 An Interview and Some New Friends

October 1982, Chicago, Illinois The drive back to Chicago was as uneventful as usual, and I arrived at the apartment just before 6:00pm. When I arrived, Elyse and Stephie were sitting on the couch and Jackie was sitting on the loveseat. Stephie hopped up as I opened the door and greeted me with a hug and a kiss. “Hi, Peaches!” I said. “Glad you’re home, Yankee!” “Hi, Steve,” Elyse and Jackie both said. “Hey,” I replied. “How was the weekend?” “Well, it was just Kurt with me, Stephie,...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 6 SamanthaChapter 20 Get Thee to a Nunnery

September 4, 1992, Chicago, Illinois “These are really interesting pieces,” I said to Siobhán. Kimmy, Elyse, and I were reviewing the two completed pieces that she’d done as examples of what the series would look like. “You don’t like them?” Siobhán asked pensively. “No, I do! Why would you think I didn’t?” “Usually when someone says ‘interesting’ about abstract art it means they don’t like it.” “Sorry, in this case I meant it. Maybe ‘intriguing’ would have been a better word.” She...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 8 NIKAChapter 68 The Rules

June 29, 1995, Chicago, Illinois On Thursday, I finally had lunch with Melissa again, something I hadn’t been looking forward to. Much like with Cèlia, Melissa and I had passed an inflection point and I was left with sub-optimal paths forward. I’d been struggling with the possible solutions, and all of them had pitfalls. When I walked into Takumi, I had something of a plan. Whether it was good or not would only be known once everything played out. “I spoke to my wives,” I said after we’d...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 52 Lifestyle Choices

June 11, 1989, Chicago, Illinois It was just after 3:00am when I kissed Trish goodbye. She’d been an enthusiastic, energetic, and adventurous lover. We’d done just about anything either of us could think of, though her breasts weren’t large enough for a tit-fuck. The last time had been in the shower where we’d ostensibly gone to clean up afterwards, but instead I ended up taking her from behind as she leaned against the wall of the shower. “I think I’ll have you again, Steve Adams,” she...

A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 38 Freshman Year Ends

May 1978 The first couple of weeks in May were busy with school, work, and friends. Except for Becky, I didn’t even have any dates. But I was OK with that. Well, almost OK. I wanted to see Anna, but it likely wasn’t going to happen until school was out. I had tutoring sessions with Melanie, but she still wouldn’t talk to me about anything other than Spanish. Barely a hello. I was grateful for the tutoring, but it was maddening seeing my friend this way. I hoped someday she could understand...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 44 Spring Break 1982 Part I

March, 1982, Milford, Ohio As I drove along I-65, I thought about what Stephanie had asked for and what Bethany had said without even knowing about the request. Of course, because Bethany and I were so in tune, she might have actually had an idea that I was struggling with getting involved with my sister again. I kept turning it over and over in my mind and I kept coming to the same conclusion — that I shouldn’t do it. I was torn between doing what Stephanie wanted and doing what Kara and...

September 7, 1992, Chicago, Illinois “That went reasonably well,” Michelle said when her parents drove off. “There were a few times I thought my expression would give away something I shouldn’t. You were messing with me, weren’t you?” She grabbed both my hands and smiled, “I was telling the truth, in my own way. Thank you!” She leaned forward and kissed my cheek. “So, what’s left?” I asked. “To visit UofC tomorrow and formally withdraw from classes. To spend some time with you and your...

August 15, 2000, Chicago, Illinois “Whoa!” Cynthia declared, as she turned the pages in The New Joy of Sex. “All these positions! I want to try them!” She was paging through the section of the book which had lots of illustrations. “Wait!” she gasped, as she turned the page. “Bondage? Whoa! He has her tied to the bed!” “That might be fun,” I grinned. “And then I can tie YOU to the bed?” she asked with a silly smirk. “I suppose turn-about is fair play.” “And threesomes?” “That might not...

January 23, 1996, Chicago, Illinois “Father, bless!” I said, greeting Father Basil with upturned palms. “Bless you, Stephen,” he said as I kissed his hand. The waiter showed us to a quiet table along the wall of Roditys in Greektown. He took our drink orders and was back quickly. We placed our food orders right away and he left to put them in with the kitchen. “I’m not quite sure how to address this, so I’m just going to ask you bluntly. March 1980, Hovås/Göteborg, Sweden I woke early as usual, but just enjoyed being in bed with Katt. When she woke, she hopped out of bed and pulled a robe out of her closet and handed it to me. “There’s a spare toothbrush in the bathroom. Go have your shower, then we’ll have breakfast after I have my shower.” I quickly showered and brushed my teeth, and went back to Katt’s room. She went to shower and came back a few minutes later. She dressed, and I got a very good look at her sexy body...

October 29, 2000, Chicago, Illinois Birgit followed me as far as the stairs, then scooted upstairs when I went to the front door and opened it. “Hi!” Sophie said. “Hi!” I replied and held the door open so she could come into the house. I closed the door behind her then led her to my study where I waited until she went in, and then walked in, closing the door behind me. August, 1983, Chicago, Illinois I walked in the near 90°F heat to Carla’s place. I was grateful that the humidity of the morning had dropped significantly; otherwise the heat would have been unbearable. By the time I walked up the steps to the apartment over the photography studio and knocked on her door, I had broken into a light sweat. Carla answered almost immediately and invited me inside her studio apartment. The air was moderately cool, and the window air conditioner was running full...

February 16, 1997, Chicago, Illinois Our conversation during the Rap Session was about how to find ‘truth’ and both Elizabeth and I made a strong case for skepticism as the best approach to life. “But if you don’t believe anything is true, how can you decide what to do?” Brenna asked after a lengthy discussion about how to know what was true. “Remember what we said about listening carefully?” Elizabeth asked. “We operate as if the things we’ve come to believe actually are true, but always...

March 13, 1994, Chicago, Illinois “Hi, Steve!” Ailea said when she opened the door. “Hi,” I replied, accepting the offered hug. There was no touching of lips, just of cheeks, and I wondered if I’d misread her intentions at her birthday lunch, or if, perhaps, she detected my reluctance to return the offered affection. “Lunch is ready, so go ahead and sit. I’ll bring it in from the kitchen.” I went to the low table, sat down, and a minute later, Ailea brought miso soup and sushi, our usual...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 10 BridgetChapter 72 An Explosive Discovery

April 3, 1997, Dallas, Texas “Remember what I said about drinking too much,” I said, as I poured bourbon into three cups. We’d stopped at a liquor store, bought a bottle of Blanton’s, and then returned to the small suite I’d reserved at the Westin. Deborah’s room was down the hall, and Krissy’s was two floors below. Krissy’s comment had caught me a bit off guard, but I hadn’t reacted visibly. I didn’t know her quite well enough to know if she’d been teasing with Deborah, so I was being...

September 1, 1987, Chicago, Illinois “I heard that you have some kind of plan to help Ed,” I said to Connie. “There’s no plan,” she replied. “A witness who saw the shopkeeper alive after Ed left came forward.” That sounded convenient, and I wondered if the witness was real or someone that Anthony had put forward to solve the problem. August 17, 1997, Chicago, Illinois We finished lunch and Marissa and the younger kids went to play, but Natalie sat with the adults to talk, with coffee, tea, or soft drinks. The Sarcus were very comfortable, but the Heaths were still struggling. July 1979 — Falkenberg, Sweden On Friday, when I got back from my run, Pam was in her bra and panties again. I whistled at her, she giggled, then finished dressing. I showered, and we went to breakfast and finished up our last day. Once class was done, we were pretty much free. July 8, 1997, Chicago, Illinois “Is it really that surprising?” Leah asked. “I suppose not,” I replied. “I just didn’t read too much into the kiss on the cheek.” “I didn’t think it was a good idea to kiss you on the lips with all those people around, because I had no idea who they were or what they would think. You were VERY careful with our dance, so I kind of followed your lead.” Which showed very mature thinking on her part. Both of these girls were exactly the kind of students I...
