Rusty, Sarah, Sally, and Terry joined Ursula's and Madeline's group as they were just sitting down to eat. During their meal, they discussed GISS business plans, and the other things they needed to consider while formulating it.
Rusty said, "Bob will have a list of potential prospects for you later in the week. He is going to contact them first. This will provide you with both an introduction and a recommendation, without actually doing anything formal. The other benefit is that the leads should be pretty solid."
"Good," replied Heather of Madeline's group.
"Rusty, what is this I hear about offering protective services?" asked Madeline.
Smiling he replied, "Well an issue came up that I thought needed to be quickly addressed. In looking at the potential talent, I thought it would be a great fit with the other services GISS is considering offering. The initial talent pool is between 50 and a 100 people and would be great field agents for that kind of role. However, if you don't think it is possible, I can likely put them into contact with some other organizations with needs that fit their skill set."
"Why do I think there is more to this?" said Ursula.
"Because there is," said Terry nearly laughing. "When the Chairman of the GISS Board heard that the MP's assisting MacFarland had been threatened with losing their jobs because of their activation, he called Captain Dole, the company CO. He told him that if any of his MP's needed a job after their activation was complete, they should contact GISS. While he couldn't guarantee a job, considering their training would very likely be offered a position."
"We were shocked when we heard he had made the offer," said Sally. "After we thought about his proposal, we agreed. As to GISS doing this, I think, it could be set up so your staff's primary activity would support. That is arranging contracts, making arrangements, logistics and providing other support resources. You would most likely never have direct contact with them after the interview."
"Terry, can you give us an idea on how to organize it?" asked Múirne.
"Sure. Remember the offer was quantified as if needed, so there may not be any takers."
Múirne was quiet for a moment, and then said, "There will be some job seekers so we need to be prepared, and perhaps for quite a few." The emphasis with which she made the comment caused Jan, Madeline and Ursula along with the others in the group to look at her.
Madeline asked if Judy was at Comrie. "No, she stayed on Dóchas, since Betsy was at the settlement," said Sarah. "Why?"
"We need assistance in helping Tom enable his telepathic ability."
"We can do that, if Tom is agreeable," said Sarah. "Tom, have you had your physical yet?"
"No. Why, do I need one?"
"We generally we ask everyone who that stays here to have a physical. This clears the way for you to visit Dóchas, if you want to. It also provides our medical staff with a reference point, if you should need treatment for something while you're here."
"Oh. In that case, can we do it tomorrow?"
"Sure. The physical will also provide you with a long-term health evaluation."
"Tom," said Sally, "to assist you with enabling your telepathic abilities, we need to look into your mind." He looked puzzled. "Just listen, you will hear us in your head in a moment, and we will go from there. Okay?" Tom nodded.
Sarah and Sally, working together, showed Tom the telepathic objects in his mind, and how to enable them. Once they were enabled, he could see the objects for the others that were close to him. Sarah showed him how to manage his connections, and initiate communication with another person. After that Sally reviewed the rules they used for their telepathic abilities, and the reasons behind them. She cautioned him about using them while among the general population on Earth, suggesting that he just monitor the intent of those around him. By doing that it would give him a heads up if there were some kind of threat to him, or to those around him.
Madeline's group had watched closely as Sally and Sarah worked with Tom to enable his telepathic ability. When his abilities became active, they were very happy, as they began to sense his feelings toward them. For them the best part was seeing that the strength of his feelings was greater than he indicated earlier. Cara thought, "It would be wonderful to have Tom with us tonight and forever." The others acknowledged their agreement, startling her. They looked at each other and smiled.
"Yes, they are stronger than I indicated verbally," said Tom, shocking them but letting them know he had heard her. "If I had sensed then what I do now, I would have expressed my feelings for all of you in stronger terms, much stronger. I like Cara's desire." Tom looked around at the smiling faces, as he enjoyed the feelings of warmth and caring being sent by the rest of the group.
"Congratulations," said Sarah, Sally, Terry and Rusty together, "to all of you. The nine of you seem to be a very good fit with each other. Once you open up a mind-link between you, we think you will be very comfortable and happy together."
"Mind-link?" said Tom.
"Tom, can we wait and answer that when we get back to our room?" responded Madeline. "Why don't we do that now?"
Madeline's group quickly began to clean up their area, in preparation to going back to their room. They thanked Sarah, Sally, Terry and Rusty for their assistance, giving each a hug before they left.
"They looked quite excited," said Sarah.
"Yes, and I suspect they might skip working on their business planning tomorrow," said Sally, as they were preparing to leave.
"Sarah, Rusty," said Ursula, "would your group help John enable his telepathic abilities as well? They seem to be partially active, just enough that he finds what he senses confusing."
"Sure," said Sally.
"John, would you like some assistance with your telepathic ability?" asked Terry as Ursula's group looked on, expectantly.
"Terry, right?"
"Yes. To make it easier, Rusty, Sally and Sarah will help me with this."
"Thanks. I am not sure what I need. I have always had good instincts with technical issues. With people my instincts are usually very good, but it hasn't been easy, as I have a tendency to speak my mind. This usually puts people off really quickly."
"Your instincts," said Sarah, "are most likely a manifestation of your latent telepathic ability. Earth society tends to be quite cautious in forming social relationships, because of the potential for misunderstanding and deception. When you are telepathic, those problems are significantly reduced."
"Would it be okay if I take a look?" asked Sally.
John nodded affirmatively.
"John, you hear me, correct?" asked Sally.
He nodded as he replied, "Yes."
"With this communication path, you can just form your thoughts to answer me. My spouses are here with me. In a moment, we will point some areas out in your mind that need some adjustment in order to fully enable your telepathic abilities."
Together they worked with John to enable his telepathic abilities, and then, on explaining how to manage them. Ursula's group watched John quietly, with a smile on their faces. They could sense him more easily now, but were waiting until Sarah and her spouses finished. It was clear when they were, as they felt Sarah and her spouses pointing out their objects in John's mind.
"How does it feel now?" asked Sally.
"Wonderful, and thanks." John turned to the women and placed his hands in the center of the table, as Sarah, along with her spouses, watched.
"Ladies," said John, "if you will place your hands on mine." The eight women quickly laid their hands on his. As each touched their hands together with his and the others, they found his mind open to them. Once all their hands were joined, John continued with a smile, "I welcome all of you to explore my mind. Regardless of what happens, you will always be welcome to mind-link with me. You can see how strongly I feel about all of you and your friends. I sense reluctance from each of you to open yourselves up to me this way. Do not worry, nothing could change my feelings for each of you."
Sarah and her spouses softly said, "We'll see you all tomorrow." They then quietly headed toward the shuttle. They shared their observations with their spouses on Dóchas while they traveled to the ship.
In the dining room, Ursula said, "You certainly understated how you felt about us earlier, when we were in the room. I can now understand why you did that. We will never hurt you in that way."
"I know, now. I now understand the depth of your love for me. That understanding is the basis for my being so willing to unconditionally open up to all of you. Without our ability to share this way, I don't think I would have ever believed that all of you wanted to share your lives with me. Any one of you is a dream come true. Each of you is so beautiful and smart, I hope I am worthy of your affection and trust."
"Come," said Múirne, "let's put our stuff away and go to our room. I think it is time for us to fully open our side of the mind-link, at least I know it is for me."
"Donna, would you leave messages for the rest of our group? Tomorrow will be a day of relaxing," said Ursula.
"You could do it yourself, you know," said Donna, "but I understand why you asked. I'll let everyone know."
"Thank you." The group cleaned up their area, before heading to their suite. When they entered the room, they circled around John, joining arms and hugging him with their bodies.
"John," they said, in unison, "in a moment we will open our mind-link to you. We do that with some apprehension, as we have been involved in some things that may upset you. However, we love you as we do each other, and feel that, in order for our bond to grow, we must take this risk."
"I can't think of anything that would alter how I feel about you. I do think we will be more comfortable cuddled on the bed."
They lay together on the bed, cuddling and caressing each other, as they exchanged thoughts. Ursula showed John the information about what happened at Dale's company, the estate, and on the freighter. He felt ashamed of the arousal he felt when he saw the sex acts they were forced, or required, to perform. Each quickly pointed out that there was no reason for him to feel ashamed. They had enjoyed some of those encounters, and would have enjoyed them more if they had been voluntary. Some, they would prefer to never experience or see again.
"John," said Múirne, "we should remind you, before our bond becomes too strong, that our bodies will, over the next six months, become more like Sarah's Clan. These changes will make it nearly impossible for us to live in Earth society."
"Why are your bodies changing?"
"We asked the Dóchas medical staff to give us a set of genetic treatments, to counter the stuff given to us. Doing that also solves some potential long-term issues from the drugs we were given on the freighter."
"I don't see looking like any of them an issue. Except that I am not sure I can survive seeing so much beauty every day."
"Thank you," they said. "We love you, too."
"I don't see why you are concerned," said John. "Yes, I like your looks and the changes will just increase your beauty. Never forget, it is you I love. I love your personality, wit, charm, humor and many other aspects of each of you, just like you love each other for the same reasons. Physical beauty is just the icing on the cake."
They smothered him with caresses and kisses. As their arousal built, they began to share their physical love with each other. They quickly discovered that their mind-link let them share their sensations. These were their caresses of each other along with the other sensations in their physical loving. Three of them had the opportunity to test either John's cock or tongue before they were worn out. They fell asleep in a group cuddle. While they slept, their mind-link continued to build, drawing them closer together as a clan. Each had felt alone, from time to time, now with their growing mind-link, the sensation of loneliness would vanish, although they did not realize that, yet.
John woke the next morning, just before the chime sounded signaling that breakfast would be in one hour. He looked at the women lying with him in bed, and realized this was not a dream. As he came to that realization, he knew that the others were with him in a way he had never dreamt possible. It was as if they were one.
"John, we are one now," came the thought from each of them. "Isn't it the most wonderful feeling you have ever had?"
"Yes it is. Come on, we need to get ready for breakfast."
When they rose, the women went to exercise, with John following along. There had been an exercise machine in his room, but he hadn't used it. Múirne encouraged him to try the spare one in their room, while they exercised. Múirne and Ursula showed him how the controls worked before going to theirs.
Ursula's Clan arrived at the dining room at the same time as Madeline's Clan did. Tom extended his hand towards John as he said, "Congratulations," as the women hugged and kissed each other. When they entered the dining room, those there applauded. The others in their new company got up from eating and came over to congratulate them.
During the rest of the week, they developed a business plan and created the procedures they needed to operate it. Several times they sought out Rusty, Sally, Sarah, Terry, Zoe, Nancy and Bob, to consult on different aspects of the business. Most of their meetings were about issues that Tom and John had not run across in operating their previous business.

As their leave came to an end, Adam and his friends went to the airport with the members of their clans. As before, their shuttle looked to be an executive jet when it landed at a business airport. From this airport it was a short drive to the regional airport where they were connecting with their scheduled flight. Waiting next to the FBO was a limo style bus to take them to the International airport. At the terminal they walked as five separate groups. That way it was easy for the women to take turns walking alongside their man. During their walk they frequently switched places while chatting and kidding each other.
Some of the women they passed frowned when they saw the five groups. Their disdain grew, as they surveyed the women's outfits. The women wore long clingy sheath dresses with side seams split half way up their thigh. This allowed them to walk with their normal stride even while wearing heels. Their heels were very tall, triggering another stereotype in the observers' minds. As they walked their bare legs would briefly flash through the slits, as their breasts rolled slightly with each step. All the women made sure to give those gawking a smile that said 'eat your heart out'.
Check-in went quickly, as Nancy had Adam and his friends' tickets exchanged for first class seats. Together, they walked to the security check point, where they stood and talked for a few moments, before saying good-bye. The women gave each guy a kiss and hug before letting them go. The kiss for their special man was exceptionally passionate. The women watched their guys as they went through security then waved to them as they entered the concourse for the gate.
As the women were walking back toward the terminal entrance Briana and Cathan noticed a man approaching them. It took them few moments to recognize him as one of the photographers that had been there when Adam's group had first arrived.
When he was close Briana said with a smile, "What, no, camera this time?"
"Not this time; actually, I was here seeing a friend off," replied Steve the photographer. "You all must be what the buzz is about."
"What buzz?"
Smiling he added, "You all, as you really stand out. Hmm ... Let's see, it's been about three weeks, you must have just seen them off."
"Yes, we just left them at security."
"I must apologize for not sending you any photos. They were a hit with the editor and our readers. They were also a hit with some others who made me very uncomfortable. So, I decided it was safer for me to lose your address than for them find you."
"Thank you. Do you have a card?"
"Briana, we are being watched very closely by several people," said Edana.
"Yes, I do."
"Let's walk this way."
"Ladies, surround us, so he is hidden." The ladies moved calmly as they shifted, so that Briana, Cathan and Steve were in the center of their group. He handed Briana and Cathan a card, just as they reached the terminal exit where their limo was waiting.
"Could we give you a lift?" asked Cathan.
"No. But, thanks for the offer. I'm only a short cab ride from here, and it would be too much trouble."
"No trouble at all, besides it will confuse those following us."
"Following us?" he responded with a surprised expression.
"Yes, when we get to the limo, we will point them out."
When they reached it, Darcy and Ciar continued walking toward the front of it, while the others approached the open door. Briana stopped and looked at the driver then asked, "Where is our driver?"
The stranger said, "He had to leave. I am your driver now." As he spoke, Darcy and Ciar stepped up behind him.
"You may think you're our driver, but you aren't driving," said Briana. "Ciar is. Darcy, ride shotgun."
"You can't do that," said the stranger wearing the ill-fitting limo driver's uniform.
Briana turned to Steve, "I think it would be a very good idea for you to ride with us." Steve started to object until he realized her concern. "Something seems to be very wrong. Okay ladies, let's get aboard, so we can leave. This purported 'driver' can ride in the front row, next to me."
Cathan moved around Steve so that she had her back toward the terminal. "Steve, see the two in work clothes, near the exit?" Steve nodded. "Those are the two following us."
While they were talking, the rest of the group boarded. Sorcha assisted the reluctant driver inside. Briana and Steve followed with Cathan entering last and closing the door.
"Whenever you're ready, Ciar," said Cathan.
Ciar eased out into traffic, and headed for the terminal exit.
"Steve, is there a hotel near here where we could talk to this gentleman privately for a few minutes?"
"Yes." He then gave Ciar directions to the hotel.
At the hotel, three of them went inside to get a room. Using the ruse that they were with their invalid mother, they obtained a ground floor room next to an exit. Two of them walked to the room, while the other went out to give Ciar directions. The nearest exit was behind the hotel. Once there, Briana and Cathan escorted the driver to the room.
Meanwhile Edana checked the luggage compartment. There she found their original driver, in his underwear and bound. While she was freeing his hands she said, "Could several of you join me back here? I've found Allen."
By the time Christine and several others reached the luggage compartment door, Edana had removed the tape holding Allen's wrists and ankles together. Hepulled the tape off his face, which was bright red. He said, "I am so glad you didn't fall for his ruse. This is so embarrassing."
"Come on," said Edana, "let's get inside the bus." The other women gathered around him as they walked back to the door.
Inside he was clearly quite uncomfortable wearing only his underwear. Looking around he said, "How did we get here?"
"Ciar drove us," replied Christine. "Relax. We will be leaving in a few minutes. Our friends are talking to the guy who mugged you. When they come back they will bring your clothes. It will be just a few more minutes." As she said that, she saw Briana and the others come out of the hotel.
When they entered the bus, Cathan handed the driver his uniform, and said, "We found this in the hotel room, and we thought you might like it back."
"Yes, thank you. I am so embarrassed by all of this."
"Don't be," said Cathan. "It wasn't any fault of yours. Besides, we should have left someone with you."
"Ciar, why don't you start for our airport?" said Briana.
Cathan said, "Listen up. The impostor is a small-time hood. When he saw us arrive with our friends and there were only five bags, he figured he could make some easy money one way or another. Apparently, he chatted up the driver, before putting him in the luggage compartment. How he managed that without being seen is surprising. Anyway, after that he called some friends. They were to meet him once we cleared the airport. What happened from that point on had not been planned, or, at least, if it had he didn't know anything about it. He also didn't know anything about the other two following us."
"Where is he?" asked Steve with a worried look.
"Sleeping peacefully. Later today he will wake up naked, no clothes, no hair, no money, no id and no memory of how he got there or what he did for the last day."
"There are two cars pacing us," said Caoilinn.
"Cathan, Edana, Christine, and Sorcha, link and see if you can determine why they are following us."
It was quiet as they rode toward the business airport. They had gone several miles when the two cars following them were in an accident. It started when one side-swiped the other. Several looking out the back, screamed, prompting everyone to look back. It was just in time to see the first car swerve into the median, flip, and then roll several times, before landing on its roof. The second one swerved sharply to the right, running under a semi-trailer, just in front of its wheels.
Fifteen minutes later, Ciar pulled into the business airport entrance. Maureen opened the gate, so that they could drive out to the airplane. As the ladies got out of the bus, they each thanked Allen. They told him not to worry about what happened, before giving him a kiss. Turning to Steve, they each said good-bye and gave him as kiss as well.
"Steve, we are fairly certain Allen will give you a lift home," said Briana. "Sorry we took you out of your way, but it didn't seem avoidable." She handed him a key fob. "If someone gives you a problem about us, and you need assistance, just press the button once. If it is really urgent, press it several times, rapidly. Please don't be afraid to use it. The people following us seem to play for keeps, and we would rather have a false alarm than be too late." She then smiled, as she added, "Keep taking pictures of pretty girls."
She turned to the limo driver and said, "Allen, no one will say anything about what happened today, unless you do. Your fee is in the envelope. We hope you will be kind enough to give Steve a lift home." He nodded. "Now please take this key fob. I am not sure you heard what I told Steve, but it is just like his. If someone gives you a problem about us, then press the button once and multiple times if it is urgent. Don't be afraid to use it as you may not have much time. As to limo service, we will definitely use you the next time we need one. That is, if you're still interested. And it will definitely be okay, if Steve comes with you and brings his camera!" Briana and Cathan gave each of them a kiss and hug before boarding the aircraft. Maureen closed the door and joined Alison on the flight deck.
The Steve and Allen entered the bus and drove off the airport ramp as the ladies watched.
"I hope they will be okay," said Abbie. "They both seem like such nice people."
"They will be fine," said Briana. "What did you find out about the men in the cars?
"Well, the two in the car that rolled will be okay, after several weeks in the hospital," said Edana. "Although they may need to find a new line of work, once they get out of the hospital. They were working with the guy that was going to kidnap us."
"The two in the other car thought we looked like someone they were told to watch for at the airport. They were talking on a cell phone when we connected with them. We heard comments about a party in a day or two. It was for someone in their organization that had caused them major problems. By their phrasing it didn't seem likely that the honorees would enjoy the party. The way they were describing us would fit more with Madeline's or Ursula's groups. The person on the other end of the call was very interested in knowing why we were at the airport, and where we were going."
"Did you find the phone number?"
"We really didn't want to look too deeply. It was like being in a human cesspool. An amoeba has more character than the one I looked at."
"There were a couple of phone numbers in the driver's mind that I can remember," said Sorcha. "Cathan is right, both of them were walking cesspools."
"I wonder," said Cathan. "Alison, Maureen, can you hold on the ramp for a few minutes? Sorcha, Edana, Christine, link with me, and let's take a look at the accident scene for a minute or two."
After a few minutes, the four women returned their attention to the shuttle cabin. "Alison, Maureen, we can leave now," said Edana. With that comment, they could hear the engines wind up, as the plane began to taxi.
"What did you learn?" asked Briana.
"First, there was a guy there harassing the police investigating the accident involving the semi-trailer. He had a badge hanging from his pocket. He was claiming that the dead guys were very important agents for the government and this had to have been an assassination. We looked at his recent thoughts, and found several recently used phone numbers. These are the same as the other two men had in their minds. Some thoughts seemed like fragments of information."
"Maureen, Alison," said Briana, "I think we should head for Dóchas."
"We are. As you have surmised, Shannon and Danny would like to review what happened with all of you. It seems that MacFarland has put an arrest warrant out for Dale and Larry. Surprisingly, it was their attorneys who caused it. Their clients missed an appointment. When they couldn't reach them by phone, they called MacFarland to see if they were there."
During the trip, each of the clans shared thoughts with their respective loves. They gave them a run-down of the events that had occurred as they left the terminal. The guy's first concern was whether the women were fine and they were assured that they were. Each of the guys, independently, told their clan that they had felt some of the events, but had not fully entered their mind-link, as it didn't seem necessary. Adam and Todd congratulated Briana and Cathan, respectively, on their quick assessment of the situation. The women in their clans concurred with their comment. This observation, while linked, brought home to them another aspect of their bond and mind-link. It was that, even though their bond and mind-link made them one, they each still brought individual strengths for the group to share.
When they lessened their focus on the mind-link with their spouses, Briana and Cathan both shared their observations on strengths with the other clans. After several minutes of quiet, all three agreed with their observations, as they could see the same things within their own clans.
"I am very glad we spent those two days with our coaches," said Sorcha. "Looking back, I can see that today we used many of our abilities instinctively." Everyone nodded in agreement, once they looked at that aspect of the event. "Our mentors are really neat and great to be around. I hope they are around a long time."
When the shuttle settled into the waiting cradle of Dóchas hangar bay, Shannon and Muireann were waiting to welcome them. After greeting each other, Muireann said, "Ladies, we know you would like to freshen up, but before that we need you to join us in our department conference room. Our AI has strongly recommended that we immediately review the events occurring after you left your guys at the airport." Shannon turned, to lead the group to the conference room.
In the conference room, it was another round of greetings with each of the department members. They had just finished, when a number of Sarah's Clan entered the room. Together, they reached out and touched each of the women in the five clans telepathically, sending them greetings and congratulations on using their abilities wisely. The recipients shuddered, as they felt the emotion in the telepathic comments.
"Ladies," said Danny, "we would like each clan to relive what they saw after you left your mate at the security checkpoint, and while you do that, let the AI record the information."
"How do we do that?" asked Ciar.
"Remember how you shared memories with your clan members, when you first mind linked," said Rusty. "All you need to do is enter into your mind-link, and then replay what you saw for your mates. The AI will then record it as you replay it."
