The bell rang signaling the end of the third period class, and the Andersons walked out trying to draw as little attention to themselves as possible. Third period had ended up being the first class they went to because for some reason the school delayed opening for more than an hour. No one had been told why, but there had been rumors of a mysterious substance being present throughout the halls of the school. No one gave an official word as to what was found, but obviously it wasn't dangerous since they eventually let the students enter the school after everything was cleaned up.
"I can't believe we all have the exact same classes," Lana said, "what are the chances?"
"I don't think chance has anything to do with it," John said, "I heard something about exact twins or triplets often being kept together to stop the temptation of switching places on things like tests. You can't go substitute for your sibling if you have to be in the same room at the same time taking the exact same test."
"Bummer," Ana said, "Well, that they kept both sets of us completely together is a plus."
"Yeah," Hannah said locking an arm around Ron, "don't you think so Master."
Ron shot her an angry look and whispered, "Do I have to remind you that in school I am not you're master; I'm your brother."
"Oh, right," Hannah said suddenly releasing his arm, then, looking at him said a little loudly, "thanks for the tip brother, you're a genius," and leaning up to him gave him a quick kiss on the cheek as she whispered, "this is going to be hard."
He smiled at her then shaking his head said, "Music class next; that should be an easy 'A' for us."
"Not if the teacher only wants us to do that Beethoven or Chopin stuff that usually puts me asleep," Ana commented, "God I hope we get a hip music teacher."
"Well, we better head out," John said, "it's all the way in the North building, room N335, wow, that's some walk from here."
"Come on," Ron said, "we better hurry."
"You three go ahead and grab us some good seats in the front," Lana said, "we need to pace ourselves a bit, plus we need to stop in a restroom on the way."
Don and John looked at the girls puzzled, and rolling his eyes Ron said, "They mean it's almost that time of the month and they have to go slow. Do they have to spell it out?"
"Hey," John said angrily, "you're the only one that is a real relationship with one of them. Don't blame us if we don't have you're level of understanding."
They took off quickly in the direction of the exit that leads to the center building and eventually the North.
"I'm feeling a little oozy already," Lana said, "I think I'm going to get a ginger ale from the vending machine and take a Midol."
"Well I really have to go now," Ana said, "so I'll meet you in class."
"I'll stay with you Lana; you know how you get sometimes when it starts." Hannah said.
As Ana ran in search of the nearest girl's room, Hannah and Lana walked toward the vending machine.
Lana sat on a bench next to it and as Hannah got her the drink she pulled out a pack of pills from her pocket.
After taking it and sitting a minute or two Lana said, "You better go ahead, I'm okay but I better go slowly."
"Well I'll wait for you," Hannah insisted.
"Nah, that's okay, go ahead; remember, you are under orders to be every one of your teachers' favorite student, showing up late to their first class doesn't help with that."
"Oh," Hannah said as she suddenly turned and started running without looking back.
She was just turning a corner toward the center building door when CRASH!
"Oww," Hannah said getting up quickly and seeing the young hazel-eyed brunette trying to stand as well. "Oh dear," Hannah said, "I shouldn't have been running like that, I'm so sorry."
As the young lady focused her eyes on Hannah she started to say, "No, it's as much my fault, I was running too, I'm going to be late to my—" getting a good look at Hannah she said, "Oh my God, it's you. Oh I've been looking and looking for you!"
Hannah was a bit confused but she remembered why she was running in the first place and said, "I'm sorry miss, I think you must have me confused with someone else. I'm sort of in a rush though, I can't be late. Nice running in to you." Hannah then turned and ran, leaving a shocked, confused and somewhat hurt Patty picking up some books.
"She didn't seem to recognize me, not even to know me," Patty thought as she picked up another book. "But that can't be. My Sugar loves me as much as I love her, I know she does." Patty heard someone walking quickly behind her as she picked up another book and heard a voice behind her say, "There's one more behind you; here I have it."
Patty stood up and took a book that was being handed to her, "Thank YOU!" she said, "but I just—I—I"
"It's okay," Lana said hurrying on, throwing the young lady an odd look. "She must have a stuttering problem," Lana thought, "she's very pretty though."
"No," Patty thought, "I must be going crazy. I've seen her so much in my dreams these past three weeks that now I'm seeing her wherever I go. Oh Lord, I must look flushed and crazed at the moment; I can't meet my first class of the semester looking like that. I saw a girl's bathroom down the hall, maybe I should make a quick stop. No time to waste looking for the nearest staff bathroom. I'm already late."
