Bob hollered out to the family as he entered the house one Friday evening, "Family meeting in five minutes, in the den. Everyone is required to attend!"

He strode purposefully into the kitchen where Dana was busy at work making dinner. He wrapped his arms around her small frame, and lifted her high off the ground as he nuzzled her neck, kissing here and there. Dana struggled to get free, to no avail. The truth be told, she didn't struggle very hard. He put her down lightly. She quickly turned, jumped up on him, wrapping her legs around his waist as her arms encircled his neck. She planted her lips on his, giving as good as she got.

"Ahem! 'Get a room', you two," came the voice of their eldest daughter, Stephanie. "The five minutes are nearly up, and we are all in the den waiting on you two lovebirds."

"Okay, okay, we're coming," Bob told her.

Dana slid down and took his hand. After all this time they still enjoyed each other's company enough to hold hands as often as they could. The family had all assembled in the family room, which Bob called 'the den'.

As usual, Andrew was playing War Games on his IBM 286AT computer. He had begun working on programming for the machine, mostly games. He had decided to be a computer game designer. He had an idea for a game with graphics that could be played with multiple computers. He was stymied on the code but he knew that it could be done. Intuitively he knew there must be a way to link computers together. Perhaps by telephone, he'd thought. After all, that's an electronic signal, too. He'd have to put a lot more though into it. His friend, Bruce Carter had a Macintosh 128K machine and it had some great graphics. He was sure he could figure out a way to get the AT to work graphics like that. He had pre-ordered Window 1 for his computer. It was going to be issued November 20th by Microsoft. All the reading he'd done compared it to the Macintosh OS. He couldn't wait.

Bob told him to shut it down for the meeting, and he grudgingly turned off the computer. With the girls on the couch, and Rob in the recliner, Andrew got stuck in his least favorite chair, the straight back Queen Anne side chair. Oh well, hopefully this meeting would be short, and he could go back to the gaming chair.

"Well, what's up, Daddy?" Rebecca asked.

Not that she was interested or anything. She usually skipped meetings like this. She couldn't get out of it this time, because it was a surprise, not a carefully planned event that she could finagle her way out of.

"The good news is, I just topped last year's accounts, and it's only May! I'll be getting an extremely large quarterly bonus check to go along with that," he said excitedly.

"Oh, wow, Dad" Rob interjected, "that's great. What are we going to do with it?"

Rob knew from past experience when his dad got a good bonus check, the family would get something special. Usually it turned out to be something the whole family liked (except for "the Queen").

There was a sparkle in Bob's eyes as he paused a moment, letting the suspense build. He looked at each family member, scanning around the room to each face. Even Rebecca was looking interested in what he was about to say.

"We are getting a fully loaded RV, to use for the summer. I've made arrangements with Mr. Tate to take some time off. Larry isn't too happy about it, but I'm doing it. I haven't taken any time off in three years, so ... We're going out west! We'll use the RV as a base camp for exploring the Rockies and the Grand Tetons!"

Everyone excitedly began asking questions at the same time. Even Rebecca seemed interested. Dana excused herself for a few moments, to check on the dinner.

She quickly returned, not wanting to miss out on any of the details. She suggested they all go to the kitchen and serve up dinner while they discussed plans for the trip. With that pronouncement, the family meeting adjourned to the kitchen nook, where they all settled down to a meal of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, peas, corn on the cob, peaches and salads. Fridays had been their traditional meatloaf night, since Bob and Dana had first been married. It was all Dana had known how to make at the time.

Thankfully, they were spared the pineapple upside down cake. On their first date, Dana had fixed Bob dinner. She made meat loaf. She was attempting to impress him, and so she also made a pineapple upside down cake. It caught fire in the oven. Flames were shooting out, everywhere! Bob had never let her live that fiasco down. She took the ribbing good-naturedly, though.

"Here's the plan. We'll start the week after school is out. I figure we should go through the U.P. We'll hit Lake Superior around Grand Marais, and camp at Grandpa's old hunting camp. No swimming, though. The water will still be frigid, even though it will be June," Bob began. "Then we'll head for the Black Hills of South Dakota. It would be good to spend some time at the Custer State Park. We can stay at one of the campgrounds and even ride into the French Creek Natural Area. We can see Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Wind Cave, Jewel Cave, and the largest Bison herd, all at the same time."

"Cool" responded Andrew. "We studied about some of that in Social Studies, this semester."

"I figure while we're in South Dakota, we can attend the Deadwood Fast Draw contest, too. We've got three competitors, and this year we can include Andrew in the Youth Division. I'm sure he will place well," Bob informed them. "This year would be a good time to get Stephanie and Rebecca into it, also. The neighboring muzzleloader match is just up your alley, Jacquelyn. That .54 caliber Hawken rifle we got for you, would be just perfect for the novice division shoot. With its accuracy and your analytical mind, you ought to outperform just about all challengers."

"Honey," Dana said. "I'd like to suggest we take all our weapons along. For you, your .45 LC double rig, and the Winchester. For me, the .44-40 Peacemaker, and the .44 Henry. Rob can take the Paterson .36 set, and the Yellow Boy carbine. We'll need to get Stephanie and Rebecca 'Annie Oakley' sets, with the .32 caliber Smith & Wesson Pocket Revolver. The EMF Colt Sheriff's model we already have, will work for Andrew. Jackie will have to do without unless we get another Paterson in black powder. I realize that the Pocket revolvers and the EMF are black powder, but I'm sure that won't be a problem. We have plenty of Pyrodex."

"Good ideas," he responded. "We'll take along the reloading supplies, too. It will give the Andrew and the girls something to do in the evenings. There are several 'gathers' in Colorado in late June that we could attend, also. I think I'll take the Paterson .36's, the Colt Army model, and the .58 caliber flintlock, too."

The conversation got exciting as all the kids got into the idea of the vacation. Suggestions were flying from all quarters as the excitement grew. Rob had read about a mountain camp and trail ride in northern Wyoming that sounded cool. Andy added his vote to the proposal. As the evening wore on, it was becoming obvious that the family would have a busy vacation, packing as many experiences in as they could, in the short time available.

"You know, since everyone is so enthused by the vacation, I'm going to extend the time. I've got more than two months of vacation time banked, and I'm going to take a full month, maybe more. We'll rent the biggest RV we can find, so we'll have room to take all the things we want. We'll use it as a base camp for our activities in the Black Hills, and in the Rocky and Grand Teton ranges. We might as well take in the usual sight seeing stuff. I'd like to see Yellowstone, again. The last time I was there, Quake Lake wasn't. Two weeks after we left, the earthquake hit, and formed the lake. It was a totally dry 'four-way stop' intersection, when we were there."

"Yeah, I did a report for Social Studies about that," Stephanie said. "If I remember it right, it was in 1959. It would be neat if you remembered enough to show us the differences."

"That was a long time ago, honey. I doubt I could remember much. But we'll take a look. Now then, since we have more time, what else should be taking a look at?"

He was bombarded with suggestions. The Grand Canyon was brought up, as was Lake Mead. Rebecca wanted to see Meteor Crater in Arizona. She said it looked neat in the movie Star Man. Dana suggested the Petrified Forest. Andy came up with White Sands. He'd been studying about the US nuclear research facility in Science. The discussion continued for a long time and Dana's notes extended onto three pages. They would need to do some cutting and/or judicious planning. However, most of the ideas were within reason. They would be able to have a great trip and it looked like everyone's ideas would be used.

"Hey" Jackie interrupted "What about Sir Barksalot? We can't take him."

"You're right, pumpkin, we'll leave him at the kennel," Bob replied.

"Aww, that's cruel and unusual punishment," Rebecca responded. "I know, why don't I ask Tabitha if she would watch him while we're gone?"

"Tabitha?" Bob asked?

"Stevens. You know ... They moved in across the street from that busybody, Gladys Kravitz's place."

"That's a good idea, sweetie," Dana said. "We could pay her what we'd pay the kennel. He'd be happier, and so would we. Could you ask her and her parents, tomorrow?"

Rebecca said she would do that. After the discussion ended, the kids were sent to bed (there still was the school year to complete). Bob and Dana sat at the table, going over the notes. They discussed the pros and cons of the selections. Some of the places were crossed off. No, they were not going to Disneyland on this trip. It was totally out of character with the rest of the adventures. Besides, it was in California. They also weren't going to Magic Mountain, as it was in southern California, too. They were going to spend some time in South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Utah, Arizona and New Mexico. They knew that the trip would be about a month and that too much time in close proximity would not be the best idea. But they still were going to try it.

Excitement for the trip took precedence over almost all activity in the house. There was the minor inconvenience of Graduation for Stephanie and Jacquelyn. Dana listened and made suggestions for Jackie's Salutatory address. One tenth of a grade-point more, and it would have been the Valedictorian's address. She'd lost the coin toss, but took it in stride. It didn't hurt that she'd been named National Merit Scholar and Prom Princess. Stephanie was no slouch in the grades department, either. She, too, had earned the National Merit Scholar designation. She had graduated ninth in her class. MSU had offered her a full ride scholarship, and she had accepted it.

The week following their high school graduations, the RV was loaded. Bob pulled the monster out onto the street. He cut over to Plainfield and headed north on US 131. When they got to M57 they turned towards Greenville. When they got to Lincoln Lake Road, they went north to McClain then east to Kindy Drive, finally veering left onto Point Drive. Bob pulled into the drive of 'The Cottage'.

The Cottage is located on an extension into Woodbeck Lake at the southwest end of a small cove. The lot is sort of pie shaped and encompasses the entire bulge into the lake. All the kids ski from the dock on the biggest of the chain of lakes (five lakes in all).

Rob used to ride the black quarter horse, Midnight, over to the Presbyterian summer camp to impress the girl campers. When he got tired of that, he'd take out the little motorboat. He'd go through the lakes to Half Mile Lake, to the Lutheran co-ed camp. This year, those activities would have to wait.

Bob and Andrew got out, and they went into the cottage. This is where most of the guns were stored. They only kept a few self-defense weapons at the town house.

"Don't forget to get the dies for reloading each caliber we're taking," Bob reminded Andrew as the boy took down the reloading station.

"Didn't Mom say to bring the Pyrodex?" Andy asked.

"Yes. We have room for all ten cans, as well as the case of smokeless. Bring them all along," he replied. "Get lots of brass and primers, too. We don't know how much shooting we will be doing and I want to be prepared."

"You want all the cast lead for the muzzleloaders, too?"

"We certainly have enough room. I'd say yes."

Andy asked a very pertinent question, next.

"Will we need a permit for all this stuff? I mean, just in case some local yokel decides to put up a speed trap and wants to hassle us?

"You know, I think you have a point," Bob answered. "Hang on a sec. I'm going to get the FFL [Editor's note: Federal Firearms License] copies. They will come in handy at the gathers, too. Some of the modern repros use smokeless, and I'll need the license, anyway."

The ladies and Rob were gophers for this part. They carried canister after canister (ex-army chain gun ammunition canisters) of supplies out to the RV. Bob had opened up the hidden gun safe, and pulled out the long guns, first. Then he got the fast draw sets and other side arms. Dana retrieved the buckskins to add to the other period costumes already in the RV. From the top shelf of the closet Bob pulled out his Crocodile Dundee Hat, and shoved it on his head.

He shut the safe and turned on the security system. His brothers had the code, and knew they could use the place, anytime. They'd even put the boat in the water on Memorial Day, so it was ready to go, too.

That chore done, they got back on the road. Bob went back to M57 and headed into Greenville. When they got into town, they made the turn north at Washington and Lafayette. A couple miles later the family was at Meijer Thrifty Acres #1. Meijer's is to Michigan and the Midwest, as Wal-Mart is to the South.

Oh, there were several stores in Grand Rapids, but this was 'home' to Bob. He even knew the Pharmacist. He'd gone to High School with David. The store was always clean and had everything they needed. An hour later they were loading the food into the RV.

Bob headed back to M57 and turned east. When they got to I-75, it was northbound to the Straits of Mackinac and the Mackinaw Bridge.

The bridge always reminded Bob of the standing football rivalry joke between Michigan State and the U of M. How a Wolverine and a Spartan fan had been drinking and were on the bridge and had to take a leak. They stop in the middle of the bridge, which is about 200 feet (60 meters) above the water, and they whip it out. About half way through relieving themselves the Wolverine says 'Man! That water's cold!' The Spartan replied, 'Yeah. Deep, too.' Since Bob is an Alumni of MSU, he always has to chuckle at that joke.

As they crossed the bridge, they looked out across the water at Mackinaw Island. It's most famous landmark; the Grand Hotel boasts the largest front porch in the world. It was the location for the movie Somewhere in Time, with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. The Malone family had stayed there several times. They loved the old time atmosphere, where the only motorized vehicle was the fire engine and the ambulance.

Most advertising about the island says no motor vehicles, but it was an ambulance that took Bob to the ferry with acute appendicitis that summer after graduation, when he worked on the island. It was a two hour ride, because the ferry went to St. Ignace. They had to drive back across the bridge to get to Petoskey, which had the nearest hospital. They got his appendix out just before it ruptured! Such excitement!

It was getting late when they pulled in to Grandpa's hunting cabin in Grand Marais. Bob used his dad's grill to cook the steaks, while the girls made the rest of the fixings. Andrew and Rob went off into the woods to collect some dead and downed wood. It was tradition to have a campfire when they came up.

Over the years, Bob and Dana had improved the campsite. They hadn't improved the old man's cabin, but the land around it was looking nice.

Bob remembered the time his dad had come back with a black bear. God, how he hated that meat. No matter what his mom did, he could always tell it was bear. That's when he loaded up on other stuff, and made sure Timmy (the Collie) was under the table for 'bear disposal duty'.

The stars were bright points of light that night. The air was clean and clear. They sat around the campfire while Stephanie played folk songs on the guitar. She'd brought her Martin twelve string, and the Epiphone arch top guitars. She sang solos and the family joined in on the usual camp songs. Dana had gotten some marshmallows, Hershey bars and graham crackers while the rest of the family wasn't looking.

"S'mores time" she announced as she produced the ingredients.

Excitement was running high that night. Bob's women were very amorous. In fact it was late in the night before he finished the congratulatory fucks with all his wives. Those with only one wife were call upon to double up with their wife. A lot of tension was relieved that night, that's for sure. Amazingly everyone woke up bright and chipper the next morning....

Somewhere in Time A Trip to WacoBook 2 Chapter 2

Red orange streaks colored the dawn. White wisps of clouds high in the stratosphere indicated a beautiful day in the saddle, as Bob pulled his lanky frame out of the tent. He strode purposefully over to the designated tree and emptied his full bladder. About then, Rob hauled out of his tent. Andy dragged into camp about the same time. "Go get some rest," Bob told Andy. "We'll be here about four hours yet, so get some sleep. It was a quiet night so you must have done some good, son." As...

The Liberation Of Father Mortimer

Somewhere in Time A Trip to WacoChapter 9

The weather remained good for the rest of the trip, and the weary crew entered Nashville on June 9, 1873. They looked for a stable and found one near a hotel. Waite got off the wagon and went into the office ... it actually had an office. He proceeded to ask the stable man about secure storage for his wagons. The stable owner said he had a second barn that could be locked up tighter than a drum and had a guard if needed. Price was a dollar a day with the guard. Waite was tired, so he took the...

A Trip of a Lifetime

I have become a grey nomad, you know, one of those guys who have packed up, bought a 4WD and caravan or motorhome and headed off into the wild blue yonder. I had set out from my home in South Australia on the trip of a lifetime, to travel around Australia. If you should come upon a caravan on the road with ‘double disco’ on the back, that’s me, so stop me and say g’day. The name comes from the fact that I use a Land Rover Discovery to tow a Jayco Discovery van and, as the Land Rover is known as...

Apparently nobody found it necessary to explain, why they had to return to the ship all of a sudden. One of Paxton's guards pointed a phase pistol at her head. Suddenly the door was opened and a guard shoved in Trip's beaten up body. Blood ran down his face. "I should have known...

The small group of people, which to Charles' amazement consisted of three different species, entered the living room, where Martin Garret was waiting. "Can I get you some drinks?" "Ugh," Trip groaned after another long meditation session. "Two and a half hours, I think I'm getting the hang of it." "You did well," T'Pol reassured him. "We should add some furniture to that white space of yours," he said. "Meaning?" "I mean it's nice to be with you in your mind, but all we can do is stand, sit or walk around in that white space, can't we add some scenery?" "That would be possible, but it would also distract from the main purpose of meditation." "I...

Monday morning came bright and early. Bob stretched his long, lanky body to ease out the kinks. He brushed up against Dana's voluptuous body and couldn't resist stroking her round breast. Her nipple instantly popped up at the attention. She stirred as he continued stroking. He felt movement and a pair of soft melons eased up against his back. Startled he turned away from Dana and into the waiting arms of his youngest wife, Denise. She stretched her neck up and sucked his lips onto hers. She...

Bob and Hank watched as the traumatized young ladies were pampered by Bob's "harem" as he had started to think of them. He estimated that they were all around twenty years old. Blonde, brunette and red head. They had similar features and he guessed they were sisters, or cousins at least. They stood between 5'2" and 5'8" tall. He could see that Dana and her crew had taken most of the upset out of the three. After a short time, the women started heading straight for Bob. "Uh oh," Hank...

"Oh, boy, someone's in trouble!" Gil said under his breath. "I think more than one of us, Gil old boy!" David replied as he vigorously waved to the family. There at the front of the group stood Angela and Adele. Both had their hands on their hips and their stance showed they would broach no flimsy excuses. They were mad. Well, not quite true. Somewhere in Time A Trip to WacoBook 3 Chapter 11

Once back in the shack, Gil whispered, "We've got to get out of here." "I agree," Tom said, "but it might be better if we wait until sunup. I think we will be all right until then, and we might just be able to escape." "I hope you're right about that." "I'm sure I am. Just be patient. It might be best if you can get a little more sleep. The stock should be okay until then. If not, we will just have to deal with it." The two men lay back down on their cots. The blankets did...

Somewhere in Time A Trip to WacoChapter 6

With that business out of the way, we sat back and just relaxed for a little while. We talked about various subjects until there was a commotion at the door. The headwaiter was blocking the view, and adamant about not letting whomever it was in. There was a flurry of activity, and the urchin on guard suddenly burst into view. He spotted us and made a beeline to the table. When he caught his breath he informed Waite of the problem. "Sir, Mr. Waite. I'd sat on that box fur a long time. I'm...

"Well done. I'll take both! And throw in another ten boxes of cartridges, too," David said, still chuckling. The men went back into the store and David got a bill of sale for the rifles. The second was still packed in the shipping box. It had been sent by boat and was coated with the waxy cosmoline used to protect metal during ocean voyages. Well, it wasn't exactly cosmoline, but the substance was like the treating material found in 3rd and 5th dynasty Egyptian mummies. Later refinement...

Somewhere in Time A Trip to WacoChapter 17

Within the confines of the Conestoga wagon, the wives of Waite Phillips had arranged a bedroom. It was not elaborate but it was functional. They had been making love to Waite nightly and they loved every minute of it. He was gentle and fierce with his lovemaking. Add to that the tactile sensations of the sister-wives as they also make love to each other and it becomes a firestorm of sensations. For Waite it was fantasy and reality. He now had Peggy Sue, Carol Ann, Lisa Marie, Annabel Lee,...

Mortimer and Myrtle A Love Story

I encourage you to indulge in something different. I think it will make you laugh and maybe cry. Scene: A formal living room. Mortimer is seated on a sofa in the center of the room when Myrtle enters and sits on the sofa next to him. She is wearing a blue floral dress and a pearl necklace, her gray hair is tied in a bun. Triplet X Love Times 2 Book 6 Across The Pond Of SexChapter 20 Luck of the Irish AND The Mistress Bridal Shower

Lana sat down in the center of the bed and looked lovingly at her Wild Kat sitting right in front of her. Lana was feeling more than horny that day, she was feeling romantic. She looked into Katrina's eyes and pulled her over to kiss her a while, rubbing their tits together as they did. They had been talking for some time that day about the clothes they would be buying to wear to John, Debbie, Ron and Hannah's weddings and it had left them feeling envious and desirous of joining their...

Candy Striper

Special thanks to Phil Gorman 2014 for his expertise in re-editing and proofing. I have always enjoyed helping people and being a candy striper at the hospital gives me an opportunity to do just that. It all started nearly two years ago when mom and I visited one of my aunts who had an operation. I saw a number of young candy stripers assisting a group of young patients. Mom told me that, at fourteen, I was too young to volunteer. Being persistent, I manage to get an application and a booklet...

Triplet X Love Times 2 Book 2 Sex HighChapter 3 The Mistress of Pain and her Secret Lair

The next afternoon John called a meeting of the band in the studio, he seemed extra happy about something. The concert the night before had been a—well the words 'complete success'—just doesn't start to cover what the night had been. However, by the end of the concert all the Anderson household, even the adults that were not on stage working, were pretty tired out. When they finally got home, everyone went straight to bed for once and ended up sleeping in late. Now, as all the kids...

Lunchtime Munchtime

As was his habit at lunchtime, Hal left the building and walked through the office park for exercise. It was a partly cloudy day, and for the moment it seemed overcast. On his way to a small path through the woods, he saw her. Sandy was an attractive redhead with a sensual voice who almost always wore a tailored blouse, a roomy ankle-length skirt, and one-inch pumps. Her wardrobe varied in color, patterns, and material, depending upon the season, but always the same ensemble. Hal watched as...

Somewhere in Time A Trip to WacoBook 2 Chapter 10

For a moment the silence was stifling. Clementine looked from woman to woman questioningly. The wives were temporarily frozen in time. Not one made a move. Then Dana stepped forward. She knelt down to eye level with Clementine, gazing for a moment into her clear blue eyes. "Sweetie, you are so pretty, I don't know how any of us could NOT choose to be your mother. So if it's all right with you, we ALL will be your mother. Is that all right?" Dana asked. "Oh, yes!" she exclaimed,...

David Morgan was a young man, just twenty-five years old. He had worked for the Golden Palace saloon in San Francisco for the last four years. Since his father had left when he was but two years old, he'd had no other recourse than to go to work. David was extremely unhappy with his job. Last night was the last straw. No more would he be the butt of the jokes of the...

Somewhere in Time A Trip to WacoBook 2 Chapter 13

Waite was restless in his sleep. Peggy Sue was sharing the bed with him and Doreen. His restlessness had disturbed her sleep just enough. She was awake, watching her husband. He was mumbling something, but she couldn't quite understand what it was. He continued to toss and turn as the dream he was having ate away at his psyché. He rolled over, again. This time he bumped into Peggy Sue. She grabbed at him, to keep from being shoved out of the bed. Waite awoke with a start. Sweat was dripping...

Somewhere in Time A Trip to WacoBook 3 Chapter 7

David took the lead, followed by Adele. Jessica was working the other small wagon and Gil took the second Conestoga. The wagon train was growing. As it grew, their travel became more dangerous. A single wagon or even two might go unnoticed and maybe even untouched if noticed. But a train of four wagons with all those extra horses and mules, it was an invitation to a gunfight. As the morning progressed, David decided they needed a scout. He handed over the reins to Angela and mounted Midnight....

Somewhere in Time A Trip to WacoBook 2 Chapter 3

Dana and Rebecca were up early, getting the traditional gather breakfast ready. They'd joined the other ladies in the cooking line. Rebecca was helping with the pancakes. Dana was heading up the biscuit crew. She'd brought a full bag of old time flour (non-self-rising), and was making the biscuits from scratch. Some of the other women were standing around watching, in hopes that they could learn the technique. She explained what she was doing, with each step of the process, so the other...

Somewhere in Time A Trip to WacoBook 2 Chapter 18

The first marker was a split in the trail. Bob guessed rightly that turning left would have taken them into Hempstead, while going to the right was a cross cut to the stage trail from Houston to Bryan. So, everyone took the turn to the right, and they were on their way again. The women were mostly chatting with each other. The ride was a little too bumpy to do anything else. They couldn't read, or work on those little sewing projects that always seem to pop up, so they talked and enjoyed...

Bob took the honors, and even though it wasn't required, introduced himself and his family to Alice. "Are you planning to stay long, here in North Platte?" she inquired. Dana took over and explained they were headed to Texas but were going to the Mississippi to ferry their belongings and livestock down the river, saving several months of overland travel and avoiding the wild savages. Alice nodded her head knowingly. She related the story of how she lost her family to an attack before...

They could return to Dodge with the women, or they could go on to Waco. The women would have to decide, tonight sometime. It the morning the wagon train had to move on, one way or the other. Waite offered the women safety and shelter to travel to Waco. He also assured them they could return to Dodge if they wanted. The mood was quite subdued. Jim offered to take the first watch. He only had one wife and he could take care of her needs later. Jesse took second watch and that made Waite third...

Somewhere in Time A Trip to WacoBook 2 Chapter 17

Bob and his family spent the next three days taking in the sights of Houston, while they waited for their wagons and livestock to arrive. They went to the theater one night. Another was spent in the hotel, with everyone enjoying each other's company. Bob got into a high stakes poker game at one of the gambling houses. It was actually an honest game, and all the players were also honest. They were also good. They played until one in the morning and Bob managed to stay even for the night. When...

Somewhere in Time A Trip to WacoChapter 11

Bright and early the next morning, Waite arose from sleep rested and satisfied. He had serviced each of his wives until they could take no more. His curiosity was running rampant at what he saw and heard last night, just before going to bed. Now he had to check it out. He quickly dressed and hurried to the door. He listened to the still sleeping hotel. There was a click. He waited until the count of three and threw open the door. Across the hall the door was partially open. There were two...

The sound was barely audible. A second knock followed. Waite got out of bed and crossed the distance to the door and opened it a crack. His eyes were assaulted with a vision of loveliness. Standing on the other side of the door was Millie. She had on a sheer robe that hid none of the treasures under it. For a woman of sixty-one years, she was remarkably well put together. Her breasts were of medium size but still mounted high on her chest. He thought of the illusion that her dress produced....

Somewhere in Time A Trip to WacoBook 3 Chapter 10

The next morning, everyone somehow woke up rested. The women rushed to get freshened up before leaving for town. David and Gil were in the kitchen with Georgette and Adele when Sarah came rushing in. She stopped short when she saw David and turned crimson. Her chest was heaving as if she had been running. Truthfully, some of it was from the running and some of it was from her memory of last night. "Whoa, girl. Slow down," Georgette admonished as she worked. She hadn't looked closely, or...

Somewhere in Time A Trip to WacoChapter 15

There, lying on top of the stack of cards in front of him, was the only way Waite was going to win the hand. It was the nine of clubs. That gave him the seven, eight, nine, ten and Jack of clubs: a straight flush. Only a few hands could beat it. Among these were the jack high straight flush of another suit, the queen high and king high straight flushes, and the royal flushes (an ace high straight flush). A roar of applause exploded from the onlookers. Waite stood slowly, and reached onto the...

They trotted off towards the woods. Andy showed his father where they had entered the woods. He'd thought to mark the trail with his knife, so it was easy to find. They came to the clearing and Bob was appalled at the mess. He signaled Andrew to circle around to the left and he'd go right, towards the back of the wagon. He'd just eased passed the edge of the big wagon, when something crashed down on his head. He saw stars, momentarily, just before everything went black. A short time...

Somewhere in Time A Trip to WacoBook 2 Chapter 8

At the other end of the valley, they saw the source of the smoke. There was a homestead ablaze. The barn was fully engulfed, and the left end of the farmhouse was burning. The sound of gunfire reached the group. Scanning the scene, puffs of smoke from the weapons were evident. Bob counted five distinct areas of gunfire in the trees to the south of the house. There were two locations in the house where return fire was being offered. The fire at the north end of the house did not help...

They were ready to go a bit after noontime. Peggy Sue arranged the wagons. Karen rode with Jessie and Betsy. Kenny went with her, Lisa Marie, and Carol Ann. Patty was on the big seat next to Waite, and Annabel Lee rode in the bedroom. They hit the road and managed to travel unmolested the rest of the day. They made camp beside the road as the sun was approaching the horizon, shooting red and golden rays streaking across the sky. 'Now that's a real Bob Ross moment, ' Waite thought. Waite...

Somewhere in Time A Trip to WacoChapter 12

A big yawn escaped Waite's mouth as he stretched his thoroughly used body in the gray dawn light. Two soft bodies lay up against his. He looked at the sleeping face of Peggy Sue as she slept with her body pressed against his. Her generous chest crushed against his side. He kissed her lightly on her forehead. Her eyes fluttered open. "Good morning, husband," whispering as she smiled up at him. "Morning, wife" he whispered back. He turned his head to the other wife vying for his...

It was moment before the pile of bedding was tossed aside by the person caught in them. Finally, the covers fell away, and the young man stood up. "Hey, aren't you the guy that Mr. McGrew was about to kill?" Rob asked. "Please don't kill me," he asked. "When you guys started arguing, I ran into the...

"Lord o' mercy, but it shore sounded like you had a good time last night, children." Lucille chuckled as the trio came straggling into the kitchen, much later than normal. "Did you get your differences all worked out?" Lucille just stood there, not really waiting for her rhetorical question to be answered. She knew the answer already. She'd given herself a double just listening to them. She could only imagine the feeling. She gazed longingly at David's middle. Jessica noticed the...

There in the kitchen were Adele, Angela, Jessica and Jeanine. They were busy working on getting breakfast. They had raided Maybelle's pantry. Biscuits were baking in the stove, while gravy was gently simmering on the stovetop. Jeanine was making omelets while Adele chopped peppers and onions. Angela was cooking some bacon slices, and Jessica was gathering up a pail to go milk the cow. Maybelle took the bucket and told her George would milk and told her to come along. She showed Jessica the...

Somewhere in Time A Trip to WacoChapter 2

Phillips woke up with a morning piss hard-on, just as he had done for the last who knows how long. Since he was 11? Maybe even before that. All he knew for sure was that he wasn't in Kansas anymore, Toto. Everything was just peachy until he woke up yesterday. He had lost his job a few weeks back, had been reading books and stories on the internet, and even played at being a rancher in Central Texas until this happened. He found out yesterday that he had been somehow transported back in time...
