Sandra of course also knew that her mother was right about this. If her dad had also been her mother's age, when her mother got pregnant of her, it would have been much harder for them all. However, because her dad had been older already and also had a good paying job, he could easily take care of her and his child. Sandra was sure that is she would get pregnant now, her life would be much harder than she would like it to be.

"Hmm, okay! Well, I can see how this wouldn't be too bad for you, or Frederik!"
Sandra gave her dad a naughty smile and said, "But don't worry, he keeps his hands to himself, most of the time!"
It made her dad grunt again, but he managed to say, "Well, I think I will need to trust him then."
"Oh daddy, Frederik is really great!" Sandra said enthusiastic and smiled at him. "So, don't worry about it."
Charles looked at his daughter, and he thought he could see the same look on her face, as the one his wife gave him sometimes. It showed him that Sandra was really in love with Frederik, and it scared him a little. Luckily, for him, he hadn't listened in on the conversation between his daughter and his wife, or else he would have been worrying a lot more about Frederik and Sandra, or what they could be doing soon.
"If you don't mind, I will go to my room now. I need to look something up on the Internet, about an assignment for school," Sandra said.
"That's okay, sweetie," Shirley said. "And remember, if you want to talk with us about something, you can always come to us. Okay?"
"Sure, mum, I know that."
Sandra got up and surprised her mother by hugging her. She then went for her gym-bag and ran upstairs to her room. Timmy didn't follow her this time, but went lying on the sofa in the living room. He needed some rest from all the running that he had been doing today and outside just now. He wished that he could catch one of those winged trespassers, one of these days.
Once upstairs, Sandra started her computer and then looked up some more modern versions of Romeo & Juliet on the Internet. She had an idea for a story, but wanted to have a few examples, so she could maybe turn them into the story she had in mind. It would at least make it easier to convince Sofie to go for her idea, if she could show her some tales that they could adapt for their play.
While Sandra was looking those things up, she had put on a headphone to listen to some music. She often did this to make sure that she wouldn't get distracted when she was studying, but by now, it had become a habit when she was sitting at her computer as well.
She found an interesting site that went solely about Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet and found even some modern adaptation of the story on it. However, none of them really went in the direction of the story she had in mind. Although, she was sure that with Sofie's help, and some other students, they would be able to turn some of these stories into the story, she wanted to play a part in. Especially, if she could play the part of Juliet.
When she was done with her research, she started on a synopsis of the story that she had in mind and wondered if Sofie would go for it. Well, she had some clue about Sofie already, but she wasn't sure if the school administration would allow them to perform it. Although, she also knew that people stood more open for something like this, these days, so the chance that they would allow it, was more than probably.
Sandra was so in thoughts about this story and writing it down, that she didn't notice how somebody came into her room. Sandra jumped up and almost fell from her chair, when this person laid her hand on her shoulder. Sandra didn't startle easily, but this time, she had felt her hearth miss a beat.
Sandra turned around and saw Veronique standing there. Without thinking about it, Sandra pulled the headset off of her head, stood up and wrapped her arms around the back of Veronique's neck and kissed her full on the lips. Now it was Veronique's turn to be startled by this, but she did manage to kiss Sandra back.

"Only interesting?" Veronique asked in a funny tone. "Knowing teenaged boys, he surely would have said something else."
This made Sandra giggle, but she didn't go in on it.
"Well, I have brought your things with me," Veronique said while nodding in the direction of the box on her bed. "And I have also something else with me, for you."
"For me?" Sandra asked somewhat surprised.
"Well, it's not from me!" Veronique said quickly, because she had the feeling that Sandra had the wrong idea. "It's from our government."

Sandra accepted the sandals, looked at them dangling down her fingers and said. "Will they force us to wear these things?"
"No, they won't force you, but when you don't wear them, and you hurt yourself, they can't be held liable anymore, because they provided you with the means to protect your feet."
"Hmm, well, I'm not sure, if I will wear these ... things." Sandra said and threw them into a corner of her room. "To be honest, I love walking barefoot in the streets!"

"Well, I knew about condoms when I was nine, but my mother hadn't told me anything about the pill yet, else I surely would have found a way to replace them with some candy!"
Sandra surprised Veronique by grabbing her hand and then Sandra said, "If you don't mind, I will walk her to her car?"
"That's fine with us, honey," Shirley said.
"Charles, see you tomorrow! And Shirley, it was nice of seeing you again," Veronique said before she was pulled to the front door by Sandra.
When the girls were outside, Charles and Shirley looked at each other.
"Do you think?" Shirley asked.
"No, can't be!"
"I don't know, Sandra looked infatuated with her."
"And what about Frederik then?"
"I don't know, but they looked a bit too comfortable with each other."
"Come on, Veronique is ten years older than Sandra."
