"Of course not!" Charles answered. "But..." He then just shrugged and said, "Sure, you can come with me. However, you better put on your running shoes then."

When they got neared, Sandra noticed that a man and a woman were standing next to a car, and that they both were looking in her direction. Sandra wondered what those two were thinking at the moment.

When they were only a few meters away from them, Charles said, "Those two are my running partners."
