Everyone made their way through the mirror without any mishap with Dale stepping through at the tail end of the procession. There are two hundred and sixteen politicians receiving financial benefit from R.U.M.M. in the form of campaign contributions or very discrete financial and business dealings. Probably none of them are aware of the true nature of the group they were receiving these illicit benefits from; however most were swayed to introduce legislation supporting aspects of the groups agenda and often voted almost to the individual to see such legislation pass. Now that R.U.M.M. seems to have vanished, these politicians will probably sell their voices and votes to any other group that is willing to provide the cash. They appear to be extremely mercenary in their actual day to day dealings; yet most have found a way to please their constituents at the same time usually by getting a little extra funding for some local project of special interest to the voters in their districts."
"Sounds like we'll have to determine what to do with these crooked political types pretty soon. What about the drug cartels?" Dale queried.
"The cartels may be the most serious immediate threat facing you and yours at this time Dale. By choosing to allow the women of R.U.M.M. to live and making them a part of your household, you have indirectly become a target of the cartels. They do not know who you are and have no current knowledge of the whereabouts of the women; but they have put out termination contracts on each of the women and distributed complete dossiers on each with current photos and last known whereabouts. They have termination squads of their own as well as freelancers they use for this kind of work that operate in almost every country around the globe. Unless you choose to have the appearance of the women severely altered, it is quite likely that they will be recognized sooner or later by the wrong party," the powerful AI told him.
"Okay, it sounds like I'll have to think that through a bit perhaps with Rob's advice as well. What about these other organizations you mentioned? I assume you've been following up on them a bit already."
"Your assumption is correct. While none of these organizations were formally affiliated with the R.U.M.M. group, they generally seem to have a few things in common. Often these groups are formed by one or two women who had difficult experiences during childhood and have nurtured somewhat justified ill-will into full blown hatred and aggression usually far out of proportion to the wrongs committed against them. These women look for other women undergoing difficult times and try to convince them that men are to be blamed entirely for the problems they face. They continue to feed the flames of hate until they are roaring full blast. Some of the things they have allowed themselves to do in the name of 'Justice' are quite appalling.
Interestingly enough, it appears that there are several organized groups of men who hate women and use all of their energies and passions to harm them in the same way that R.U.M.M. sought to harm men. There are more disturbed individuals on this planet than you might believe Dale."
"Well I've run into enough already to convince me that you know what you're talking about my friend," Dale replied. "Vyagar, how many members of the drug cartel have you been able to identify?"
"A quite amazingly large percentage of them Dale. Why do you ask?" Vyagar responded.
"What would you think of altering the dungeon a bit so that it could handle several hundred or even several thousand prisoners at a time? We could either expand the existing one, or leave it be and create a new one somewhere else."
"I can certainly create any kind of facility you might require; but why don't you tell me a bit more about what you have in mind," Vyagar prompted.
"Okay. I was thinking that if we abducted all of the major players simultaneously, including those hit squads you mentioned. It would cause enough of a ruckus to get them off of our tail; additionally, it would reduce the supply of harmful drugs reaching this country considerably - at least for a while anyway. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency has so many legal restraints that limit its effectiveness that making substantial headway is very difficult," Dale told Vyagar.
