August 1981, Milford, Ohio

I kissed Stephanie on the cheek and headed out to my car, taking my overnight bag with me. I drove to Bethany’s house to pick her up. She was wearing the exact same dress she’d worn for our first date Freshman year, and if anything, it looked even better on her now. We headed downtown to The Maisonette on 6th Street.

When we arrived, the valet took my car, something I was getting used to, but still didn’t particularly like. We walked inside and were greeted by the maître d’. He found our reservation and led us to a private table for two. A busboy pulled the table out and we sat on a red canapé. The busboy pushed the table back in front of us.

We looked at the menu and ordered Caesar salads to start, Chateaubriand for two as the main course, with broccoli and baked potato as our sides. While we were eating our salads, my dad’s friend, Mike Comisar, came to the table to say hello. He had the wine waiter bring us each a glass of red wine, on the house. I thanked him and he said I should thank my dad for asking him to do it.

The service was even better than at the country club that Bethany’s dad belonged to, but that wasn’t really a surprise given The Maisonette was arguably the best restaurant in the United States, having had a Mobile ‘Five Star’ rating for seventeen straight years. What was a surprise was that it was in Cincinnati. The food was, without question, some of the best I’d ever had, though a few of Grandmother Grossi’s dishes could give it a run for its money.

When we finished eating, I paid the check, and we retrieved my car from the valet. We drove the short distance to the hotel and once again I turned my keys over to another valet and we went inside and checked in. Luck was with us and we had the exact same room as we had on Prom night. Bethany squealed when we stepped off the elevator and she realized which door I was unlocking.

“The same room! Awesome!”

“And I have champagne for us as well!”

“Steve Adams, you are a romantic at heart!”

I quickly grabbed the urn for the champagne bottle, filled it with ice from the machine in the hall, and came back to the room. Bethany had the tap on to fill the Jacuzzi and had already stripped down to just her pale blue lace panties. I whistled at her, put out the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign, and locked the door. I took off my clothes and when the tub was full, Bethany removed her panties and we climbed in. We soaked in the tub for a bit and I got out to pour champagne and took the glasses back to the tub. We toasted and sat cuddled together.

“What do you want to do tonight, Bethany?”

“Sleep in your arms,” she sighed. “Anything else is just a bonus.”

“Well, I think I can manage to make love to you tonight. Of course, only if you really want. I wouldn’t want to disturb your beauty sleep!” I smirked.

“Oh, you know damn well what I want!” she giggled, squirming in my arms.

Eventually, the water cooled, and we got out of the tub, dried off, and got into bed. We made love slowly and fell asleep in each other’s arms.

When Bethany and I woke in the morning, we made love again, then showered together. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant, then checked out and headed to my house to pick up my little sister.

Stephanie had helpfully put together a box with cleaning supplies and was sitting in the living room waiting for us. She saw the car and came bounding out of the house with the box. Bethany got out of the car and let Stephanie get into the back seat. We headed to the apartment.

As I went through the cabinets and drawers and put things that I had brought there into a box, the girls started cleaning the bathroom. My intent was to leave the place cleaner than when Andreas had given me the keys. I carried the box down to the car, then came back for a couple of cartons of empty soft drink bottles that I needed to return for the deposit. Once I’d taken those to the car, I started cleaning the stove and oven.

When the girls finished the bathroom and I was done with the kitchen, we dusted the furniture and then swept the floors. When I was finally satisfied, and with the girls’ approval, we filed out of the apartment. I took a final look at the apartment where I’d had so many adventures over the past years, then closed the door and locked it, with no regrets. I chuckled to myself; it would be Ed’s apartment very soon! We made a stop at Fazio’s to return the bottles, dropped off the keys with Andreas, then headed home.

My dad had already left with my mom, most likely under protest, given what Stephanie had said. I went to my room to place a call to Josh to see how he was doing. I was lucky to find him home on a Friday evening, though he told me that he had company. I took a guess and asked him to put Sofia on the phone. He laughed and handed her the receiver.

I switched to Swedish.

“So, is he a nice boy?” I teased once we’d said hello.

“Wouldn’t you like to know!” she giggled. “We’ve gone out a few times. He reminds me of you, but he doesn’t seem quite as needy.”

“That’s an understatement!” I chuckled. “As I told Josh, it’s up to the two of you. As much as we meant to each other, we could never get to the point you needed.”

“That’s true, though I did get what I needed right before you went home!”

“That is burned into my memory, Sofia. It was a huge sacrifice on your part, and I’ll always appreciate it.”

“And I’ll always appreciate our friendship!”

“Me too,” I agreed. “I’ll see you in less than a year!”

“Oh! Maybe I should not be steady with Josh,” she teased.

“Sofia Katsaros, you know better than that!”

We talked for another minute and she put Josh back on the phone. I switched back to English.

“I don’t want to cause any trouble, but how did you leave things with Mary?”

“Oh, I know exactly how she feels,” he said. “She never said it, but I know. Let me put it this way, that thing she did for you when you were depressed? She did that with me that last day.”

“She told you about that?”

“Yes. She told me pretty much everything. I hope you don’t mind.”

“Not at all. I’m leaving for Chicago tomorrow, so I’ll have a new phone number.”

I gave him the number and after wishing him good luck with Sofia, we hung up.

Stephanie, Bethany, and I ate an early lunch, and about 1:00pm Larry and Mary showed up to help Stephanie set up. Bethany and I drove to her house to get Ed. When we got back, the three of us started loading the U-Haul and station wagon. We had almost finished when the guests started to arrive at 2:00pm. Pete helped us finish loading my stuff and at last, all that was left was my bag that I’d put my toothbrush and stuff in, along with a laundry bag for the clothes I was wearing.

Stephanie had invited pretty much everyone she could think of, and most people had said they’d attend. I was surprised and extremely happy to see Donna Woody and Marcus arrive just after 2:00pm. She had turned sixteen in the Spring and had her driving license. She greeted me with a nice kiss and a whisper that she’d be happy to spend some time alone with me. Debbie C walked over from her house, and brought Alexa with her.

Of course, all the girls fawned over the babies. I was glad my mom was not home because those two girls alone would have set her off, not to mention Debbie V and her sister, Tracy. Of course, given that there were more than fifteen girls at the party that I’d had sex with, Mom would have had a stroke if she’d been home. In fact, when I thought about it, of the girls who would be at the party, only Krista, Susie, and Kara’s mom were girls I had NOT had sex with!

Of everyone who was attending, I was happiest to see Kara. She and her mom arrived around 2:30pm. They’d only stay for an hour and a half, because Mrs. Blanchard wanted to be home before her husband arrived home. I was happy that Kara was here, and Kara was happy that she could be with our friends. She hadn’t seen most of them for some time because her dad had grounded her. Kara spent time talking to Bethany, Joyce, and Stephanie. Her mom talked to several of my friends and I felt good about that.

Pete and Ed fired up the grill around 3:30pm and started cooking burgers and brats. They could barely keep up with the demand given the more than twenty hungry teenagers at the party. I ate with Kara and her mom, and they were ready to leave just after 4:00pm. I reminded them that I’d pick them up at 5:45am the next day. I kissed Kara goodbye, and they headed out.

Just after Kara left, my sister came up to me and pulled me aside.

“There’s a whole bunch of girls here who want a last chance. I could make a list and send them to your room one at a time,” she giggled.

“Cute, Squirt. It would be a lot of fun, but I think it’s a bad idea.”

“I was teasing, Big Brother, though in all seriousness, Donna would love to have half-an-hour of your time.”

“Did she put you up to this?”

“She did. She didn’t want to ask you because she heard from a couple of the girls you were with Kara.”

“I’ll talk to her, Squirt. As much as I would love to, it’s a bad idea.”

I went to find Donna and asked her to talk to me. She left Marcus with Bethany and came with me to the deck.

“As much as I would love to,” I said as gently as possible, “it’s really a bad idea. Kara and I are pretty much planning our future together.”

“It’s OK,” Donna said with a smile. “I just asked Stephanie to find out if you were interested. I totally understand. Can I have a hug?”

“Of course!”

I pulled her into a tight hug and then released her. I reconsidered and pulled her to me and gave her a soft, loving French kiss.

I broke the kiss and whispered in her ear, “Thanks for everything. I’ll never forget you.”

She smiled and kissed me on the cheek, then went back to find her son. That was the first in a long line of girls who wanted to say goodbye at some point that afternoon and evening. Around 6:00pm most everyone got into the pool and there was complete and utter chaos. For about an hour, I was constantly mobbed by teenage girls, all of whom seemed hell-bent on dunking me, splashing me, or otherwise making mischief.

Eventually I had enough and got out of the pool and went to take a quick shower and get dressed. When I came out, I sat down with Marty and Tracey and drank a Coke. We had a good chat and both of them thanked me. Tracey gave me a kiss on the cheek and Marty told her to give me a real kiss, if I’d take it. I laughed and pulled Tracey to me and gave her a nice kiss, and then let her go.

A bit later, Susie came up to me made one last attempt.

“You know, I wish I could get a chance to be with you.”

“And you know, as much fun as it might be, I can’t do that to Kara and I don’t think you could, either.”

Susie sighed, “You’re probably right. Are you as good as the girls say?”

“Ask the girls!” I chuckled and pulled her into a hug.

She hugged me back and kissed me on the cheek.

“I’m glad I got to be your friend,” she said. “You’ve made a real difference for me and a bunch of my friends. Thanks.”

“You’re welcome, Susie.”

I spent some time playing pool with Larry, Bethany, and Ralph. Later on, I agreed to play chess with Larry, knowing that I’d get beaten pretty badly. I did. Mary gave me a hard time about it, though my sister came to my defense; well, sort of.

“Come on, Mary, guys can only do so many things really well. My brother does computers and cooks! Well, I hear he does other stuff as well,” she smirked.

I was happy she didn’t say what I was sure she was thinking!

“Oh, he does one other thing really, really well!” Mary declared.

“And what might that be?” my sister teased.

“Fuck!” Mary laughed. “What the hell else? He sure can’t play chess worth a damn anymore!”

“OK girls, that’s quite enough!” I said firmly, but I couldn’t help but laugh.

“Oh, poo!” Mary said.

Debbie C and Donna left about 8:00pm and I hugged both of them and gave them both a quick peck on the lips. I wished them both luck and told Debbie I was looking forward to getting a wedding invitation in less than two years. She promised to send one. I stood on the front porch to watch Debbie walk home across the street and when I saw her go in the front door, I went back inside.

The party began seriously winding down around 9:00pm because everyone knew I had to be up by 5:00am. That wasn’t really much earlier than I usually got up, but given I was driving, I wanted to be in bed at a reasonable time. As the guests left, I shook hands with the guys and hugged the girls. With the exception of Beth, Janet, and Susie, all the girls also got a soft kiss on the lips. Beth, Susie, and Janet got kisses on the cheek. Krista was surprised by the kiss on the lips, but she smiled and winked at me when I let her go.

Finally, only Joyce, Bethany, Stephanie, Ed, and I were left. I was told to relax while the rest of them cleaned up, so I went to my room and read The Stand. About 10:00pm they all came down the hall to my room. Stephanie looked at me and I just smiled and gave approval with my eyes. She grabbed Ed’s hand and dragged him into her room while Bethany and Joyce laughed.

“Let’s go out to my parents’ office. The walls are kind of thin and I really have no interest in listening to my sister and her boyfriend screwing!”

“Ewww! NO!! I do NOT want to hear my brother at all!” Bethany said, almost running from the room.

Joyce and I followed her, and we sat on the couch in the office to wait for Ed so that Bethany could take him home. I was surprised when he was back twenty minutes later.

“I’ll shower at home!” he grinned, winking at Bethany.

“You pig!” she laughed. “We’re driving with the windows open!”

They left, but Joyce stayed behind. I wouldn’t see her in the morning like I would Bethany. Stephanie came out in her robe and said she was going to bed once she had showered. I smiled, stuck my tongue out at her, and we both laughed. She disappeared into her room.

“So, this is it,” Joyce said.

“It is. But we’ll see each other again.”

“I’m sure of it. You’ll need to come and see Grandfather at least once before Christmas. Maybe I can come up to Chicago like we talked about.”

A WellLived Life Book 7 Kara IIChapter 3 Saying Goodbye Part I

June 1982, Milford, Ohio On Wednesday morning, I once again made breakfast for everyone. Joyce did the dishes after breakfast, and then we all sat in the living room with cups of coffee. The ladies from the church would bring lunch, and around 3:30pm we’d head to the Noakes Funeral Home for the visitation. I dreaded that, because I wasn’t a big fan of being in the same room as a dead body on display. There was just something that creeped me out about the whole idea. But I would be there to...

A WellLived Life Book 7 Kara IIChapter 21 He Will Tell Thee What Thou Shalt Do

July 1982, Milford, Ohio On Tuesday morning, I kissed Kara goodbye and headed to my parents’ house for my usual morning routine with my little sister. She was happy that I could spend the morning with her and asked to take a walk, so we weren’t in the house with my mom. “Let me guess — this walk will end in the clearing,” I said with a smile. “Yes,” she said, taking my hand as we walked down Overlook towards Klondyke. As usual, we turned around and walked back, taking the path to the...

A WellLived Life Book 2 JenniferChapter 53 Goodbyes Part II

June 1979 The second week of Summer school was much like the first — busy. I was doing homework and studying for tests every night. Three things of note happened that week. On Tuesday, Jennie Sanders called me. I told her what had happened with my mom and that my mom suspected us of having sex. I told her exactly what I had said to my mom and left it to her to decide what to say about her reasons. She was a bit upset, but said she could handle it. On Wednesday, Bethany stopped me in the...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 2 StephieChapter 18 Saying Goodbye

October 2, 1987, Chicago, Illinois “Steve?” I heard Elyse call out, just as I finished reading the prayer. “‘Indian’ room,” I answered with a hitch in my voice. “Stephie?” she asked as soon as she saw me. “Yeah,” I nodded, sagging and collapsing into one of the basket chairs. She carefully sat in my lap, putting her arms around my neck. “Are you OK?” “At the moment, yes.” “When?” “Around 1:15pm our time, I guess.” “And the funeral?” “Wednesday. I don’t have a plan yet, but I think...

December 5, 2000, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota “I had a good time last night,” I said. “I was surprised you invited a friend!” Mary laughed as we walked into the exam room, “Naomi had a good time as well. You know what a Resident’s life is like.” I nodded, “No social life.” “Exactly. You guys seemed to hit it off pretty well.” “Yes, but I’m not here for that!” “You’re everywhere for that, and you know it!” I couldn’t help but laugh. “Let’s just say that you hit the sweet spot -...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 5 MichelleChapter 78 Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous Part II

May 15, 1992, Glencoe, Illinois “Join me in my study, if you would,” Noel Spurgeon said when we finished our dessert. It had been an interesting evening. Samantha and I had talked for a bit before we’d been summoned to dinner. The meal had been prepared by a chef and was served by a white-coated young man. Again, this was a far cry from Lois at the van Hoeks’ house. What wasn’t a far cry was the fact that I was having dinner with a man who knew I was going to be sleeping with his daughter...

October 1981, Chicago, Illinois I arrived back at the apartment just before 10:00pm and saw the address for the party. I decided I wasn’t particularly interested in going so I put on some music, poured myself a glass of wine, and started reading more about Russia. I was alternating between the history and culture book and the Communist Party book, decided on the history and culture book for this time. I didn’t get much reading done because I was thinking about Tatyana, which led me to...

June 23, 1994, Oguni, Yamagata Prefecture, Japan My first week in Japan flew by, and a routine developed. Sakurako would wake me; I’d exercise and run, then shower and have breakfast, and share tea with Sakurako. After breakfast, I’d meditate, and then have my training session. After lunch, I’d work in the garden, or, as I had this day, wash the floors in the house. Hiroshi would accompany me back to the cottage and we’d talk while I washed up and dressed for dinner. After dinner, I’d spend...

January 23, 1996, Chicago, Illinois “Father, bless!” I said, greeting Father Basil with upturned palms. “Bless you, Stephen,” he said as I kissed his hand. The waiter showed us to a quiet table along the wall of Roditys in Greektown. He took our drink orders and was back quickly. We placed our food orders right away and he left to put them in with the kitchen. “I’m not quite sure how to address this, so I’m just going to ask you bluntly. August 1980, Milford, Ohio On Thursday, Jennifer’s second to last day in Milford, we got together with Pete and Melanie for lunch at Melanie’s house. Melanie and her mom made homemade pepperoni pizza, and the four of us devoured two whole pies. When we finished, we stayed at the table drinking Cokes. “It’s going to be really different without the three of you around all the time,” I said. “We’re not that far away,” Melanie said. “Remember what you told me when Pete went away — it’s a quick...

Goodbye Master Stokes Chapter 4 An Unwritten Book

CHAPTER 4: AN UNWRITTEN BOOK CHAPTER NOTES: The Shakespeare quote comes from King Lear, Act 4 Scene 1. TV21 was a comic popular during the late 1960s. Many of its stories featured Gerry Anderson creations such as Stingray, Thunderbirds and Fireball XL5. Kali (pronounced 'kay-lie') was originally a powdered sherbert into which you dipped a moistened finger. In north-east England it came to mean any kind of cheap sweets - penny chews, liquorice sticks and so on. Another local...

January, 1985, Chicago, Illinois I arrived back in Hyde Park about ten minutes before the end of the Super Bowl. It didn’t look like it had been much of a contest, given that the score was 38-16, with San Francisco trouncing Miami. I grabbed a Coke and some chips and sat down on the couch next to Julia and Dave. June 1977 When I got home, I grabbed a Coke and some chips and went right to my room. I didn’t think I could deal with my parents or Jeff or Stephanie. I just needed to be by myself. That wouldn’t seem odd to anyone, because I often went to my room to read. In addition, I now had the TV I’d received for my birthday. I flipped it on to WXIX Channel 19 and reruns of Gilligan’s Island and Green Acres played in the background while I read. I had to get my mind clear for the final exams that...

July, 1983, Chicago, Illinois I woke up early on the First of July, because my body clock was still set to Swedish time. The flight back had been long but uneventful, and I was happy that the businessman in the seat next to me hadn’t wanted to talk. A WellLived Life 3 Book 1 SuzanneChapter 7 Reaching the Peak

March 25, 2000, Chicago, Illinois “What time do I need to have you home?” “8:00pm will be fine,” Misty replied. “My parents are in Normal visiting my brother at Illinois State. They aren’t supposed to be home before 10:00pm.” Misty and I were in my car on the way to the NIKA apartment which, fortunately, was not being used. With our expansion, it was in more or less regular use, and that meant I didn’t have access to it as often as I would have liked. I was glad there had been a delay in...

Sins from my Stepmother Book 1 Ch 15

I My name is Teddy Carlson. I’m twenty-two years old and I fucked my stepmother. Not just once in some momentary lapse of judgement. But again and again…and again. Before you judge me, there’s a few things you need to understand. First, Dad and I never exactly got on like a house on fire. He was the CIO of a large hedge fund which meant that he wasn’t around much. He travelled to Europe regularly and commuted during the week to Manhattan for meetings. When he was home, he was either...

A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 7 Setting the Course of My Life

June 1977 Friday ended up being a non-event. The more I thought about it, the more I was sure that there was no way on this earth I could say what happened between Birgit and me was a sin. Calling it a sin would debase it into a meaningless act. I could never do that. And the more I thought about Jennie McGrath, the more sure I was that I couldn’t call what she did for me a sin, either. If the church was right, I was going to hell. And frankly, there was no way that could be true. So I...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 20 It Happened One Night

January 17, 1989, Chicago, Illinois “What time do you have to leave this morning?” Kara asked as we showered together on Tuesday morning. “About 8:30am,” I said. “I’m driving over to get Jeri, then heading to O’Hare. We have an 11:00am flight. Assuming all goes well, we’ll be in the office by 3:00pm Pacific time. We’ll spend a couple hours going over the software then go to dinner. The demo is tomorrow. Our flight back on Thursday leaves LA at 11:00am, so we’ll be home by 8:00pm, I...

May 14, 1997, Chicago, Illinois “Start talking!” Melanie demanded when I sat down in her office about an hour later. “There isn’t much to say. Katya found the information for me when I asked her to look into several things about Brandon Littleton, Kevin Lomax, and John Milton.” “Do you know more about him?” “A LOT more. I don’t think you want to know.” “Probably not, but I’m your criminal defense attorney, and even though San Antonio doesn’t have you involved in this, you know the CPD...

The Three Signs Book 2 LoriChapter 28 Live at the Lifesaver

“So, how should we do these Stone’s songs?” Phil asked at our rehearsal session. “I think we all know the music, we just need to come up with a pretty awesome arrangement; we don’t want to sound like yet another cheap cover band.” “I had some ideas, if it’s okay for me to make some suggestions,” Allison said. “Of course it is,” Phil said. “Everyone can have a say, there’s no rule that says you can’t participate in the discussion.” “Thanks, Phil, I guess being the newest here, I’m a bit...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 5 MichelleChapter 77 Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous Part I

May 11, 1992, Chicago, Illinois Monday was turning out to be a LONG day. After my run and talk with Gina, and my talk with Elyse, I had a full day at the office scheduled. First was our leadership meeting in the morning, and then I had status meetings with each team. At lunch I’d gone to see Siobhán and explained that I was going to break off the sexual relationship, but that I wanted to remain friends. She was disappointed, but admitted that Thursday would have been the last time, since she...

October 5, 1992, Chicago, Illinois “Hi, Tiger! I missed you!” “Hi, Babe!” We hugged and kissed more than we normally did when we met at the ER after her shift, then she hugged and kissed Kara, and the three of us started our walk home. “How was San Francisco?” Jessica asked. “Good. The User Group meeting went very well, I saw my old boss and professor, Scott Bannerman, and Bethany and I had a lot of time to talk.” “If all you did with her is talk, I’m not sure I want to go back to the...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 23 So Now You Turn Back Into Diana Prince

January 19, 1989, En-Route from LAX to ORD When the engines of the plane started, Jeri reached over and took my hand. She held it while we pushed away from the gate, and taxied for takeoff. Her grip tightened a bit as we hurtled down the runway, but nothing like the death grip she’d had on my arm for the flight out. The plane roared its way into the air and once we leveled out, Jeri’s grip loosened but she didn’t let go of my hand. “How are you doing?” I asked with a touch of...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 16 A Southern Belle a Surprise Proposal two Cheerleaders an Old Flame and a Girl Back Home Part I

October 1981, Chicago, Illinois I went to my room, closed the door and dialed my old number in Milford and Stephanie answered. “Hi, Stephanie!” “Hey, Big Bro! How’s Chicago?” “Pretty good. A lot of stuff is happening. But I have a favor to ask. Well, really, it’s a favor from Ed. I’m coming home this weekend and I was wondering if I could borrow the keys to the apartment.” “You and Kara? On Saturday? I’m sure the answer is yes. Where are you staying?” “I was going to call Mrs. Spencer...

A WellLived Life Book 7 Kara IIChapter 34 Old Routines and New Ideas

September 1982, Chicago, Illinois The weekend was quiet and besides homework, I worked on the program changes for Frank, called Karin, Tatyana, and Kara, and hung out with my usual study group. Monday was refreshingly normal. On Tuesday morning, I handed Katy my completed intake form. She put it in an envelope and stuck it in her bag. She said she’d let me know soon about the interview. On Tuesday afternoon, after having lunch with Stephie, I made my rounds and then I headed over to Sigma...

October 1982, Chicago, Illinois The drive back to Chicago was as uneventful as usual, and I arrived at the apartment just before 6:00pm. When I arrived, Elyse and Stephie were sitting on the couch and Jackie was sitting on the loveseat. Stephie hopped up as I opened the door and greeted me with a hug and a kiss. “Hi, Peaches!” I said. “Glad you’re home, Yankee!” “Hi, Steve,” Elyse and Jackie both said. “Hey,” I replied. “How was the weekend?” “Well, it was just Kurt with me, Stephie,...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 6 SamanthaChapter 20 Get Thee to a Nunnery

September 4, 1992, Chicago, Illinois “These are really interesting pieces,” I said to Siobhán. Kimmy, Elyse, and I were reviewing the two completed pieces that she’d done as examples of what the series would look like. “You don’t like them?” Siobhán asked pensively. “No, I do! Why would you think I didn’t?” “Usually when someone says ‘interesting’ about abstract art it means they don’t like it.” “Sorry, in this case I meant it. Maybe ‘intriguing’ would have been a better word.” She...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 8 NIKAChapter 68 The Rules

June 29, 1995, Chicago, Illinois On Thursday, I finally had lunch with Melissa again, something I hadn’t been looking forward to. Much like with Cèlia, Melissa and I had passed an inflection point and I was left with sub-optimal paths forward. I’d been struggling with the possible solutions, and all of them had pitfalls. When I walked into Takumi, I had something of a plan. Whether it was good or not would only be known once everything played out. “I spoke to my wives,” I said after we’d...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 52 Lifestyle Choices

June 11, 1989, Chicago, Illinois It was just after 3:00am when I kissed Trish goodbye. She’d been an enthusiastic, energetic, and adventurous lover. We’d done just about anything either of us could think of, though her breasts weren’t large enough for a tit-fuck. The last time had been in the shower where we’d ostensibly gone to clean up afterwards, but instead I ended up taking her from behind as she leaned against the wall of the shower. “I think I’ll have you again, Steve Adams,” she...

A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 38 Freshman Year Ends

May 1978 The first couple of weeks in May were busy with school, work, and friends. Except for Becky, I didn’t even have any dates. But I was OK with that. Well, almost OK. I wanted to see Anna, but it likely wasn’t going to happen until school was out. I had tutoring sessions with Melanie, but she still wouldn’t talk to me about anything other than Spanish. Barely a hello. I was grateful for the tutoring, but it was maddening seeing my friend this way. I hoped someday she could understand...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 44 Spring Break 1982 Part I

March, 1982, Milford, Ohio As I drove along I-65, I thought about what Stephanie had asked for and what Bethany had said without even knowing about the request. Of course, because Bethany and I were so in tune, she might have actually had an idea that I was struggling with getting involved with my sister again. I kept turning it over and over in my mind and I kept coming to the same conclusion — that I shouldn’t do it. I was torn between doing what Stephanie wanted and doing what Kara and...

You were messing with me, weren’t you?” She grabbed both my hands and smiled, “I was telling the truth, in my own way. Thank you!” She leaned forward and kissed my cheek. “So, what’s left?” I asked. “To visit UofC tomorrow and formally withdraw from classes. To spend some time with you and your...

August 15, 2000, Chicago, Illinois “Whoa!” Cynthia declared, as she turned the pages in The New Joy of Sex. “All these positions! I want to try them!” She was paging through the section of the book which had lots of illustrations. “Wait!” she gasped, as she turned the page. “Bondage? Whoa! He has her tied to the bed!” “That might be fun,” I grinned. “And then I can tie YOU to the bed?” she asked with a silly smirk. “I suppose turn-about is fair play.” “And threesomes?” “That might not...

March 1980, Hovås/Göteborg, Sweden I woke early as usual, but just enjoyed being in bed with Katt. When she woke, she hopped out of bed and pulled a robe out of her closet and handed it to me. “There’s a spare toothbrush in the bathroom. Go have your shower, then we’ll have breakfast after I have my shower.” I quickly showered and brushed my teeth, and went back to Katt’s room. She went to shower and came back a few minutes later. October 29, 2000, Chicago, Illinois Birgit followed me as far as the stairs, then scooted upstairs when I went to the front door and opened it. “Hi!” Sophie said. “Hi!” I replied and held the door open so she could come into the house. I closed the door behind her then led her to my study where I waited until she went in, and then walked in, closing the door behind me. August, 1983, Chicago, Illinois I walked in the near 90°F heat to Carla’s place. I was grateful that the humidity of the morning had dropped significantly; otherwise the heat would have been unbearable. By the time I walked up the steps to the apartment over the photography studio and knocked on her door, I had broken into a light sweat. Carla answered almost immediately and invited me inside her studio apartment. The air was moderately cool, and the window air conditioner was running full...

March 13, 1994, Chicago, Illinois “Hi, Steve!” Ailea said when she opened the door. “Hi,” I replied, accepting the offered hug. There was no touching of lips, just of cheeks, and I wondered if I’d misread her intentions at her birthday lunch, or if, perhaps, she detected my reluctance to return the offered affection. “Lunch is ready, so go ahead and sit. I’ll bring it in from the kitchen.” I went to the low table, sat down, and a minute later, Ailea brought miso soup and sushi, our usual...
