Feeling really hungry on arising Helena walked around the beach to the Elephant rock cafe and ordered a large breakfast together with a large juice. She did not realise that she could eat so much and not put on any weight. Ordering another large juice and a bottle of water, sat looking over the beach at the lovely waves. One for $200, one for $500 and one for $200,000. Looking around realising no one was aware of her, she returned to the newsagency and asked what do I do. The newsagency lady was very pleased and got her to fill in a Golden Circle card. “Now I can give you the $200 but I do not have the cash for $500. For the $200,000, you need to go to the Brisbane Office to claim with 100 points of identification. Do you have a car? and I can give you the address.”
“No I do not have a car.” replied Helena.
“I have a friend who has a hire car business and he would take you to the Brisbane office and return you home for a reasonable fee. It would cost you around $200 to get to Brissie and back.” said the shop lady
“No problem, when can he take me?” Helena asked.
“Wait a minute and I call him, his name is Bill.” said the newsagency lady.
Harry mentions ‘This lady is good.’ meaning trustworthy.
Coming back in a few minutes she mentioned Bill will be around here in 10 minutes. He has no booking today. Harry mentioned ‘I have to check him out you know.’
Helena thought ‘I expect you to do so, as you said, you will look after me.’ with a smile in her tone.
Helena thanked the lady and said “How will I recognise him?”
“Don’t worry, you will see the car.” she replied.
10 minutes later a stretched white limo pulled up in front of the newsagency and the driver came to the front of the shops said “You must be Helena? My friend inside told me you needed a lift. Where to?”
The shop lady came out and introduced us. We shook hands. Harry happy. Helena mentioned first home then Brisbane to claim my prize.
But before we go, Helena mentioned she need something in the shop. Going back into the shop Helena asked for a ticket in the $40 million draw. Harry thought ‘touch the machine’. She touched the lotto machine whilst the lady was processing her card into the machine and asked what ticket would she would like? Around $50 quick pick please. Returning the card and ticket Helena gave her $50.00 then went with Bill in the limo.
Getting home Helena changes into some smart clothes. Made sure she had over $15,000 securely in her purse. Getting onto the M1 Helena sat back and relaxed in the car. Just as the limo passed Movie World, Helena asked Bill if they could call into a servo for a drink and ladies room. Harry mentioned that Bill is a good person but struggling in his business. Whilst you are in the “Servo” can you pay him so he can fill the car with fuel.
Helena asked Bill “What is the cost for the trip?”
Bill mentioned that you have been quoted $200. And he would honour that.
Passing over the $200, Helena said “Well here is your payment so we do not have to worry about it later. I appreciate your service.” Settling back in the limo she awaited the stop. Bill pulled up at the truck stop fuel then opened the door for Helena. He pointed to where the shop was and mentioned how to get to the ladies, the back ones are cleaner he said. He would meet her at the door. Helena finished in the ladies then went to the wild bean cafe ordering 3 large cappuccino coffee with no sugar and 4 sugar coated donuts. Seeing Bill she called him over and told him to get a table. Taking the coffee and donuts over to the table, he was surprised at getting a coffee from a client. Offering the donuts Bill took one and proceeded to eat. Helena mentioned that lately she always appeared to be hungry, but is not putting on weight. Lucky girl Bill mentioned as they finished their drinks.
