Sioban nodded. “You’ll be surprised at how much your studies will help when you are selected. Working every airline flight is sociology in the flesh Sioban just as psychology is. You should take some of those courses too ... and salesmanship.”
“When I’m selected?” Sioban said with a dubious chuckle, “That sounds a bit presumptuous.”
“Presumptuous or not,” Colette answered with a smirk I have recommended countless candidates, none of whom have been turned down. So, unless you go berserk and attack the interviewers you will be selected.”
After having tea and cakes (Both females took note of the fact that the other had taken only one cake) Colette was interested that the pretty Irish girl was developing good habits. Sioban noted that the older woman was eager to keep herself looking young and fit. “Meeting you and Ryan and spending the last couple of days with you has opened my eyes to the quality of people who have befriended Arthur,” Colette said. “Frankly, I realized how blessed I am to have chosen Arthur in such a friendship and how fortunate he is to have become friends with the two of you. When you told me of your desire to spend more intimate time with him and the obstacles you face making it happen, I felt perhaps what a mother feels when she knows her son is being taken care of properly. When I saw how close he is to both you and Ryan I knew that you and I needed to talk privately.”
