I had to piece the whole story together from several different sources. The design team had gone out of their way to come up with something radical and innovative. They’d shown the mock-up to the partners who, appreciative of the technical aspects, had been very enthusiastic.
The company retained a number of members of the public specifically for the purpose of providing feedback and the mock-up had been shown to those who matched the demographics for the advertising campaign’s target audience. Their response had been relatively lukewarm.
