Grace, Kim and I had a nice long chat and decided to take the twins with us to return to Camelot to see if we could locate the missing cheerleaders. I didn't have any evidence that we would find them other that a nagging need to try.
We called the twins into my den and sat down to talk with them. I had to convince them that what they were about to hear would be hard to believe but they had to accept it on blind faith. I started out, "Girls, you remember the cave you saw on your ride?"
They both nodded.
"Kim told you that you would get to explore it some day?"
Again they nodded.
"Well the time has come to decide. We are going to the cave to try to locate some kidnapped cheerleaders. Before we decide if we are going to take you, I need to tell you a story of what happened a while ago."
I then related the story of our two trips to Camelot through the cave. The girls were all ears as they excitedly listened to me. It was a long story with Grace and Kim adding their perspectives. After I finished, the twins admitted that it was hard to believe. It seemed too much like a fairy tale to them so then Allison asked, "Are you really going to take us with you?"
"Yes, you can come with us. You will need to dress in some jeans, warm shirts and some good outdoor shoes since we will be riding our horses to the cave. I want you to know ahead of time that there will be some things happening that you will find hard to believe but just go along with us and act casual. It might be a little scary but we will be there to protect you should anything happen. Do you understand and still want to go?"
I was barraged with a chorus of yeses as the girls jumped up and smacked me on the lips with kisses. I told them that we leave first thing in the morning so get a good night's sleep. They both dashed off to their rooms to do just that. Grace, Kim and I headed up to bed but limited our fun and games to a quickie to conserve energy.
In the morning Grace, Kim and I came down dressed in our rough and tumble clothes. When we got to the kitchen the twins were already there dressed just as I had instructed. Alice insisted that if we were going out riding we would first have a good breakfast. We loaded up on eggs, bacon, toast and orange juice. Grace and I also had some coffee. The twins were so excited that they cleaned their plates of every crumb and were chomping at the bit ready to go on the great adventure.
We made our way out to the barn to saddle up our horses and met George and Manuel there to help us. I had to dash back to the house to retrieve the key that I had forgotten. When I returned the horses were all saddled and the girls were mounted up and ready. I whispered to George where we were going and he told me to be careful. I told him there was no dragon this time so we should all be safe. I got on my horse and we headed out.
Shortly, we arrived at the cave on five very spooky horses. We dismounted and let the horses graze as we walked into the cave. Grace, Kim and I were used to the tingly feelings but the twins acted scared that something bad was going to happen. We assured them that it was normal to feel that way and to keep going.
On our walk into the cave I asked the girls if they had ever read the book or seen the movie of Camelot. They said they had read the book and seen the movie when they were younger. I told them. "Well, you are going to get the chance of a lifetime to see a lot of what the book and movie were based on. You will even get to meet King Arthur and Queen Guinevere."
Amelia asked, "Won't we look out of place dressed the way we are?"
I told them, "Don't worry, that will be taken care of shortly."
We arrived at the door and I inserted the key and unlocked the door. Just like the other times, there was a bright flash of light and a gust of wind as we went through the door and were transformed into our medieval counterparts. We exited the cave leading five horses and we were dressed in our medieval garb. I was dressed as King Arthur, Grace was dressed as Guinevere, Kim as a royal page and the bewildered twins were dressed as royal princesses. I had to step back and admire those beauties. They were breathtakingly gorgeous in their bright blue gowns. The dresses were form fitting and accented every curve of their bodies. Wow!
Since I knew the way, we mounted up to head for Camelot. Grace and the twins had to ride side-saddle due to their long gowns. We rode most of the day and, since we had started out early, we only had one stop for the mid-day meal. We were able to arrive at Camelot just as the evening feast was to be served.
We were announced by a herald of trumpets and met by aides to secure our mounts. We dismounted and walked with all haste to the dining hall. Grace and I took our seats at the head of the table with Kim and the twins close by. The food was delicious and bountiful and made me worry that if I stayed too long I would end up looking like Alexander the Great. Oh well, the strenuous activity of battle should keep me in decent shape. We were entertained by jesters and minstrels making the meal a truly memorable experience.
After our meal and entertainment, which lasted several hours, we retired to the royal chambers to get some much needed sleep. Being king, I could command that we, all five of us, would sleep together in the same room. We could all strip down to under-garments and slip into the beds. On a previous visit I had arranged that there be three beds set up so my ladies and I would not be separated. The twins were nervous enough without sequestering them in a separate room.
As a concession to modesty, there were privacy curtains installed. Grace, Kim and I were accustomed to being together in various states of dress and undress. The twins, on the other hand, were not, so we afforded them a small degree of privacy. When all the chambermaids had left, the three girls just had to steal over to my bed for a kiss goodnight. I was pleasantly surprised when all three of them added some tongue to their kiss. I wondered where that came from.
In the morning we arose bright and early. Allison and Amelia mentioned to Grace that they had to go. Such was their introduction to the chamberpot. Yeah, there was no bathroom or indoor plumbing in castles of that time. We dressed and went down to the dining hall where we were served a delicious breakfast. The day before, I had put out the call for all my knights to assemble for a quest.
After we ate I summoned Merlin to my side. "Merlin, my old friend, tell me of what you know about a group of young ladies being held captive in my realm."
"Your Majesty, I have heard of such a happening on the day before this and summoned you back to your kingdom. An evil knight and wizard came to us from Denmark to ply their trade in human sex-slaves."
"What have they done?"
At the command of the evil knight, the wizard traveled about time gathering young girls to please his master. I have heard that he had acquired ten and six very fair and scantily clad maidens from one source. His master was very pleased that he had managed to get such a good start and rewarded him richly."
"Do you have any idea where we might find those fair maidens?"
"I have heard that the evil knight took up residence in the abandoned castle which once belonged to Mordred. He has surrounded himself with several knights dedicated to his cause and they slumber in the castle as we speak."
"Merlin, it seems that evil shall be a force to be reckoned with for all time. We must do what we can to see that good triumphs over evil and all is put right throughout the land. I will indeed need your help with my quest. Pass the word to have all my knights assembled presently at the round-table."
"By your command, Your Majesty."
Merlin bowed and withdrew to spread the word throughout Camelot. There was a flurry of activity as knights from far and wide assembled around the round table.
I entered the room and called the assemblage to order. "My good men, I have gathered you all here so that we may address the evil which has entered my kingdom like a plague. An evil knight has taken the castle where Mordred once lived and is practicing his trade of providing young maidens to the slave trade. Are there any among you who do not wish to accompany me on this endeavor?"
Nary a single knight, gave any objection and they all rose drawing their swords to show their solidarity with the cause. I particularly noticed that Sir Galahad brandished his sword well above the rest. Guinevere and the girls were standing aside taking all this in and amidst all the clatter I could hear clicking sounds as Kim was busy with her camera. The twins, on the other hand, were just standing there dumbfounded, unable to believe that what they were seeing was real.
And so the plan was set forth that Merlin and my knights would accompany me to confront the evil knight and his wizard within the walls of the castle where they were located. I instructed the four girls, Grace, Kim, Allison and Amelia, to lag back and observe from a safe distance. I suggested they take up station on a nearby hilltop where they could view all the happenings below.
