“How long have you been smoking pot?” My stepmom Tracey asked me from across the dining room table. To an onlooker, the situation must have looked like a job interview. My stepmom was sitting in the middle, flanked by my stepbrothers Max and Alex.
I flushed. I had been convinced I would never get caught. But not only had my stepmom found me stoned in my room (which I also trashed), but she also drug-tested me and got the hard evidence. And the writing was on the wall: I was in deep shit.
“If you’re acting this immaturely, I’ll treat you that way. I’ve discussed this at length with Max and Alex. They’ve agreed to my plan,” she said.
Plan? What plan? The way my stepbrothers were looking at me made me blush. They had never paid me this much attention before. I would be lying if I didn’t say I had a crush on my fraternal twin stepbrothers. I’m eighteen, and they are both twenty-four. They have dark curly hair and long lashes. Max has dimples, but ,Alex doesn’t. Alex has a scar across one cheek he got from an aggressive hockey player.
“Come see your new room. We tidied it up a bit after you stormed out of the house,” said Tracey getting up. Uncertainly I also got to my feet. Why was Tracey so happy? She thought I was a delinquent. When my dad was alive she was constantly pushing for stricter discipline measures. This didn’t add up.
My room was at the top of the stairs. I noticed she had taken down the music posters and the Do Not Disturb sign hanging on the door. And then Alex opened the door. And my door dropped.
The room had once been black with music posters for heavy metal bands all over the walls. My clothes were all over the floor. The bookshelf had been lined with crime novels and my horror movie DVD collection was legendary. It was gone. All of it.
In its place was the room of a toddler. The walls were pink with Winnie the Pooh and his playmates dancing across them. The bed (though still a queen) was covered by a pink frilly comforter. A stuffed teddy bear sat propped up on the pillow. The bookshelf was full of picture books. I recognized Goodnight Moon from my own days as a child. My DVD collection was infantile, with nothing above a G rating. There were no curtains for privacy on the window. And speaking of the window, right in front of it was….
“Tracey, what’s that?” I asked, staring at the ominous object. Tracey flipped her long blonde hair out of her face. For her age, she was very good-looking. Dad had done well.
“That is a changing table. That is where your brothers and I will be changing your dirty diapers,”
This was crazy. I must be having some adverse reaction to drugs. Maybe my last stash had been laced. Holy shit, should I go to the hospital? Alex put a gentle hand on my arm.
“You okay, little sis?” I was definitely hallucinating. My brothers never called me sis. Or touched me. Or showed anything remotely like caring.
“I’m tripping,” I said, staring at the changing table. Hell, it looked real.
“No, you heard me correctly, Alice. As your punishment for smoking pot, you will be put in diapers until the end of the month. Max and Alex can change you, and so can Ruthie and Charles if they so desire.”
Ruthie and Charles were my childhood friends. The three of us grew up in a cul de sac before I moved downtown after the divorce. After that, we kind of grew apart and traveled in different circles. In other words, they don’t smoke pot. The fact that they knew about my proposed punishment was humiliating. I could just picture Charles (whom I always kind of fancied) changing a smelly diaper of mine. Well, that would kill any budding romance, and I’m sure he definitely felt the same way.
The doorbell rang.
“Actually, that’s probably them now,” Tracey said and she swept from the room, leaving me with two boys who looked a lot more interested in me than they ever had been.
“We have some clothes for you,” said Alex and he rummaged in the dresser drawer. Gone were my dark band shirts. There was an array of pink and yellows, and Alex unfolded a Winnie the Pooh onesie. Max gently began to tug at my shirt. I resisted. I am a DD and on my small frame, a onesie just would look ridiculous. I try to wear oversized outfits as much as possible. This onesie was small. And I did not want my brothers to see my body.
“Let go, Alice,” scolded Alex. I did because I hoped that if I let them go through dressing me like a baby we wouldn’t have to go through the complete punishment.
The shirt was off. I was glad I wore my black lace bra today. But swiftly, before I had even realized what was happening, Max was behind me unhooking my bra. It fell open revealing my rich, full breasts, a creamy white, the nipples hard and darker. Max gave a sharp intake of breath. Alex just stared at the floor.
“Well, Alice you’ve grown up!” Charles and Ruthie were standing in the doorway. I quickly crossed my arms over my chest but thankfully Max slipped the onesie over my head. Tracey bustled into the room behind them.
“I can’t thank you enough for doing this. Alice needs some good influences, you know. And Ruthie I’m so happy for you. Alice, Ruthie is engaged.”
“Wow, Ruthie, that’s amazing,” I tried not to be distracted by the fact that my dark areolas showed through my onesie which Max had left unsnapped.
“If you are out of diapers, you can be a bridesmaid,” said Ruthie. That sobered me up and brought Tracey’s attention to the task at hand.
“Hop on up, kiddo,” she said, patting the changing table. I backed up into Charles.
He leaned down and whispered in my e “It won’t be a big deal. I promise. Just take your punishment like a big girl.” I looked up into Charles’s face. I couldn’t tell if he was mocking me.
“Come on, Alice. It’s embarrassing, but just get it over with,” Ruthie encouraged.
Buoyed by my friends, I reluctantly climbed onto the changing table which was built for an adult. I sat there while Tracey tugged my pants around my ankles. I had been meaning to do laundry and so I was wearing incredibly embarrassing princess underwear that read Wednesday. It was Thursday. Max began to howl with laughter.
“She’s already ready for her punishment,” he said pointing. The rest of the room looked away in embarrassment.
“Alex, will you go get the Pampers. I think I left them in the kitchen?” Tracey requested politely.
Alex left the room as Tracey removed my panties. She gave me a strange look. I think she was wondering why they were so wet, but I couldn’t tell her that. I couldn't tell anyone why.
There were a few minutes when the whole room had a good view of my trimmed bush. I saw Alex’s eyes go to it immediately when he returned to the room.
