Important Notice: On my vacation just now, I found out that I lost some of my fun at writing ever since posting what I created, because I always thought about what would be good for the readers. Something I never did in the years before. I wrote a story just as it came to my mind once again and can tell, that it does far more to relax me than what I did in the last months. As a consequence, I will not post anymore in the foreseeable future and go back to write just to relax without self-inflicted pressure that it needs to get likes and such. Effect immediate, all my stories are on hiatus. My girlfriend will be the only one getting my stories from now. As it was in the beginning.
Okay, how did I get here?
There was something with booze. Much booze. I was somewhere with many books. My mind tried to tell me something but the haze around it prevented interruptions of my useless rambling. Books … it was called a library! I was a genius!
Okay, why was I in a library? – And why was there some form of demon on the cover of that book. The last thought took hold and I grabbed an ancient looking book with something looking very much like a demon on the cover. Written with some form of brown ink that looked far too much like old blood. This also did not feel like any sort of leather I ever got my hands on.
‘To bind power.’ An interesting title, that much was sure. I did what any drunken man in my position would do. I simply began to read the funky book without thinking twice about the glowing and slowly vanishing letters. It was definitely cool.
The book went over how to bind the power of demons in books. Interesting topic. If I understood this right, the writers focused the very essence of some strong magical monster in a book. Someone really had an active fantasy there. Well, should I ever find such a book I would need to be careful. I was proud to get that thought in my state.
The book went on to describe some form of hell god that nearly took over the world long ago and how it could never be allowed to be free again. They really could have written it a little more like a novel and not a simple description. The story certainly had potential.
The demon or whatever it was, was so powerful that both sides of some big war between good and evil had to unite to force it down. Now it went on in with a new author that wrote far better. Even together, it was powerful enough to throw the book through time not to be locked away for eternity. Really, an interesting story.
I looked at the now empty book in wonder. Was that some form of joke ink that reacted with air or something? – And what was the glowing? – Well, I just ruined a book in a library. Even as clouded as my mind was, I knew that was a bad idea. I pushed the book under a shelve. Those things were lighter than I expected now that I thought about it. Would not have thought to be able to lift it with one hand. Well, with luck no one would find the book there.
I sneaked in the direction where I could see empty space. The library was fairly small but had an insane collection of shit about magic and crap like that. And it looked as if the titles really believed in it. I had to get out of here.
The empty part between the books was a room with chairs and a table to read. There was only one door and no windows. Someone secured this well if I went by the massive oak door with metal reinforcements. The someone also should look in the security of this age.
Such a door was naturally locked. “Open!” Did it always thunder when I shouted? – Well, the door was obviously only stuck. It opened without a problem after I pulled again. There was only one tunnel to get out of here. In my wisdom, I decided to take that way.
