However, once when we were visiting the US Virgin Islands I really thought we had crossed the line and was headed to jail. I was wearing only a beach cover up. You know those short short thin dress like covers that button down the front. When wet it was pretty much see thru and in bright sunlight it was also pretty much see thru.
We were walking over to the beach when we noticed a patrol car parked just across the street from the walkway to the beach. No one was around and hubby thought it would be a real hoot to take a few pictures of me sitting on the hood naked. So I sat on the hood and let my cover drop exposing my fully naked body to his camera. I was really getting into posing including one pose of both hands on the roof of the car, my legs spread wide, butt out. You know the pose, the one crooks take when being frisked before being arrested. In this pose we both had our backs turned away from the beach as I was acting like the crook being ready to frisk and hubby was snapping photos.
Had we been looking the other way we would have seen them. Two police officers walking off the beach. The first thing we heard was "freeze hold that position what the hell do you think you are doing." I turned briefly thinking my hubby was joking but quickly returned to my pose afraid i was about to be frisked and arrested.
The cops walked up and started walking around me taking it all in. They were discussing what they were going to do and yes i did hear the word arrest amongst similar legal sounding we are going to jail conversation. Hubby spoke up and tried to explain it was a harmless request for some unique vacation photos.
One of the cops took his camera and with hubby's help started looking through all the photos on his camera. Now i was embarrassed. There were actual hardcore photos on the camera from earlier showing me in action including a few videos. Now both cops were looking at the camera and i was still in my getting arrested pose.
By now we had several on lookers and more cameras recording the event. I knew I was going to jail when finally after what seemed an eternity the first cop walked over, handed me my cover up and told me to get dressed. He was smiling and looking me over as I took the cover up and slipped it back on. He told me that it was his pleasure to wish me a warm welcome to his island and told me to be more discrete. He said he no longer had any evidence and for us to move along.
After they drove off I asked hubby about what had just happened. He told me that the cops made him erase all my photos from his camera so we couldnt prove our indiscretions. However the cops both took a few photos of their own saying if we were ever caught misbehaving again that it would come back to haunt us. But hubby only laughed saying they actually asked if they could save a few photos for themselves but they couldnt allow us to keep them. They couldnt have photos of a naked woman on one of their patrol cars getting out.
