When I started my job about five years ago, I was initially working first shift. I would be over at about 3:30-4.00 pm every day, and it was predictable. I'd get to spend more time with my step daughter and my daughter, I'd have more social time, and I'd be active doing things on the side because our marriage had gone downhill for years. My wife and my marriage had slowly taken a dive over the last 8-9 years. Bridget was quite a bit younger than I was. She'd started about six months prior to me going on third shift. I'd only met her in passing a couple of times as I came into work. She'd said hi, smiled, and went on her way and headed out the door. About a month or so after I'd started third shift, I was informed she was transferring to overnights and would be working with me. "Yeah. Married. Step daughter. Daughter. Pretty laid back life. Not anything in the relationship department. We live together, but that's kinda where it stops," I said.

"I noticed you don't wear a ring. Figured there was something to it," Bridget said.
"Yeah. There's definitely something to it. Nothing," I said with a laugh.
She leaned in and was looking right in my face.
"Ever do anything about it?" she said bluntly.
I was shocked. I didn't think girls (even someone in her age bracket, probably young 20s) would ask that.
"Well I won't lie. Yeah. I'm not a pig. I don't want you to think I am. But yeah. I think it's pretty well expected that with her attitude, etc., there's not a lot going on. So she kinda figures it must be on my end," I said.
"Well good," Bridget said to me.
"Good?" I said to her with a confused look.
"Yep," she said.
She looked into the other office. Still nobody. Bridget then turned around, faced me, walked up about two feet, and stood right in front of me. Our faces were probably less than six inches apart.

Jesus Christ. What the fuck? I'd never done anything like that. Not ever. Even with the crazy shit I'd done with other girls outside of my marriage. Nothing like that.
The rest of the shift went off without a hitch. I would watch her walk around and I couldn't stop thinking about how nice her lips felt. I couldn't stop thinking about how soft that fucking kiss was. After the shift was over, we clocked out and were headed into the parking lot. I was going over to my car when Bridget asked if I was hungry. I said yeah. I was going to go home and grab something to eat.
She smiled and said, "Wanna get breakfast?"
"Sure," I said.
We ended up at Denny's. Sitting there talking to her for almost an hour while we ate breakfast was hilarious. An off the wall personality, foul mouth, blunt attitude, and so fucking friendly I was laughing and truly enjoying myself more than I had in awhile. It was sad to see it end. Until she surprised me.
"Come over to my house. Unless you have to go home and go to sleep?" Bridget said.
I didn't hesitate. "Nope. I can follow you to your house. Let's go," I said.
It took about a half hour to get there. By the time we made it to Bridget's house, it was just after 10am. I wasn't even remotely tired, considering we'd just worked an eight hour shift overnight.
We walked into the house, she closed the door behind me, turned around, and walked up to me.
Bridget kissed me. It was immediate. I felt the sparks. We started kissing in the main hallway of her house.
"Anyone home?" I finally said.
"No. I live with my parents. They're at work. They both leave about 6:30 in the morning, and won't be home until about 3:30-4pm." Bridget said.
"So can I ask how old you are?" I finally said. I figured at least early 20's or so, considering the work we do together.
"I'm 22. Is that old enough?" Bridget said with a laugh.
"Yep. That's plenty old enough." I said.
"How old are you?" she finally said.
"I'm 42," I said.
She smiled. "Your the same age as my dad. That's kinda sexy," Bridget said.
So I had to ask. "Not to sound crude, but are you this open with every guy you meet?" I said.
She laughed. "Nope. Actually I'm not. Truth be known, I've only slept with three guys. But something about your personality, off the wall attitude, and how damn friendly you are. Caught me off guard, so I was curious. This is not something I do. Just so you know," Bridget said.

You're funny as hell, you make me laugh, and Jesus Christ, you're as good looking as anyone I've ever seen. So yes, I'd keep this going if you want." I said.
She looked at me and took my hand. "Where are we going?" I finally said. I felt stupid as fuck.
Bridget spoke. And my goddamn heart almost stopped. "I want to go to bed with you. My room is right there. Do you want to?" Bridget said.
