The next morning
An elderly woman, appearing to be in her early-mid 50’s with pale blonde, almost white hair, bright gray eyes and dressed in maid’s clothes was returning to her kingdom after going out to gather fresh exotic fruits from another town the day before. “Dear Papa Smurf,
I’m writing this because I’m in need of your help. Clockwork and Mrs. Sourberry found a pair of Smurfettes while on their way back from an errand that our market men requested the day before this morning. They’re currently residing in my castle, but I feel that they will be much safer with you and the rest of the village. I will tell you more about them once I see you in person. Please bring only a couple of Smurfs and Smurfette with you and Clockwork.

A village was buzzing with activity due to it being summer. However, one woman in particular was busy checking up on her latest godc***d. “Now these are the latest styles for summer dresses. For you, Lotus, this green dress will suit you.” Mrs. Sourberry said, handing a dress over to the redhead behind the dressing curtain. Lotus took a look at it and had to admit that she liked it. It was a forest green off-the-shoulders dress with bright green hanging straps, a split that goes up to only her thigh and the skirt reached to above her ankles. Lotus’s cheeks turned bright purple while a bashful smile formed on her face. “It iz a pleasure to meet vou, Monsieur Clockwork.” she replied. The robot Smurf made light buzzes as if he was responding to her in a bashful gentlemanly manner. He then did the same thing to Paige. The auburn haired Smurfette also blushed and smiled bashfully. “You’re quite the gentleman, Clockwork.” Paige complimented. Clockwork looked away bashfully, locking his hands behind his back. Gerard laughed some at the robot Smurf’s reactions. His advisor has some new friends, whether the twins saw it that way as well or not. “I’m back and the tub is ready for you two… What are your names exactly? I’m Mrs. Sourberry.” Mrs. Sourberry said, deciding to introduce herself. The twins smiled before introducing themselves to the old maid.
“Ai’m Lotus Francesco, Madame Sourberry.”
“And I’m Paige Francesco. We’re twin sisters.”
Mrs. Sourberry smiled warmly before saying, “Let’s get you both cleaned up and something to eat afterwards. I’m sure that you’re both quite hungry.” She then scooped the Smurfette twins in her hands and placed them in her apron pocket, heading up the castle stairs to the bathing room. While she did this, Gerard turned his attention back to the situation at hand. Lotus and Paige can’t stay here, but they have nowhere else to go either. Unless, he could ask the Smurfs if they would take the twins into their village. Going to his personal chambers, Gerard pulled out a parchment and began writing a letter. He felt that this would be in the twins’ best interest. Once he was done writing, he sent Clockwork out to deliver the letter to Papa Smurf at once. The young king prayed that things won’t get any stranger than they already have.
The Smurf village
All of the Smurfs were busy at their chores. Some were busier than others. Nevertheless, Papa Smurf was happy to see his sons and Smurfette working hard. However, some buzzing caught the Smurfs’ attention. “That sounds like Clockwork.” Papa mused to himself, wondering just what brings the robot Smurf here. Sure enough, Clockwork came into the Smurfs’ view. “Clockwork, it’s good to see you!” Handy happily greeted, hugging his invention. The robot Smurf whizzed with a smile. The other Smurfs chirped in agreement. “What brings you here?” the engineer asked.
However, before Clockwork can whiz an answer, some of the crowd backed away. “Indeed it is good to see you, Clockwork.” Papa said, showing up in the village square. Clockwork’s smile disappeared and a serious expression formed on his face. He then gave the village elder the letter. “For me, from King Gerard?” Papa asked, catching many of the Smurfs’ attention. Clockwork nodded his answer. “Ah wonder wha’ tha lad wants…” Gutsy mused to himself. The village elder untied the ribbon and replied, “It appears to be urgent, Gutsy, so I guess we’ll find out.” He then read the letter out loud:
“Dear Papa Smurf,
I’m writing this because I’m in need of your help. Clockwork and Mrs. Sourberry found a pair of Smurfettes while on their way back from an errand that our market men requested the day before this morning. They’re currently residing in my castle, but I feel that they will be much safer with you and the rest of the village. I will tell you more about them once I see you in person. Please bring only a couple of Smurfs and Smurfette with you and Clockwork.

King Gerard”
The other Smurfs were shocked at the news. There were more Smurfettes found?! And more importantly, where did they come from?! “Oh, this is smurfy! I won’t be the only girl anymore!” Smurfette squealed with joy. Papa coughed some before replying, “This is indeed something to celebrate, Smurfette. However, we do not know what kinds of temperaments these new Smurfettes may have. For all that we know, they could be dangerous to us, but not humans.” The blonde’s smile faltered a little bit. “Ye have a point, Papa, but nowhere in King Gerard’s letter did tha lad say tha’ he was in grave danger.” Gutsy pointed out, causing Smurfette’s smile to return. “Yes, that’s true, Gutsy and that is why I’m bringing you, Handy, and Smurfette with me and Clockwork to King Gerard’s castle.” Papa instructed.
Handy was happy to go along only to make his visit with Clockwork last longer. “Aye Papa and if tha lassies give us any trouble, well, Ah’ll think of somethin’ tha’ won’t hurt ‘hem too much.” the Scotssmurf said. The village elder smiled a small smile. He was glad to have chosen his eldest son as opposed to his younger brother, Hefty for this mission. Not that the muscleman wouldn’t hurt a lady intentionally, but his temperament would’ve made the situation much worse than he’d like. “The rest of you, continue with your chores. We’ll return as soon as possible. Be good, my little Smurfs.” Papa added. “Goodbye, Papa Smurf!” the other Smurfs chanted in union. The group took off after that.
Meanwhile
A village was buzzing with activity due to it being summer. However, one woman in particular was busy checking up on her latest godc***d. She wore a long-sleeved, pink dress with a matching fairy cap and carried a magic wand with her. Her thick, curly, light brown hair reached to her shoulders and her brown eyes held a “Don’t mess with me or else” look to them. She was in the process of leaving the village when a conversation caught her ears. “Did you hear?” a villager woman asked one of the other villagers. “Hear what?” another villager woman asked in confusion. “King Gerard found two, blue strange creatures this morning. They have heart-shaped birthmarks.” the first woman answered. “What?! Those two creatures are my godc***dren!” the fairy godmother exclaimed, shocking the two villager women.
“Lady Valentina, w-we d-didn’t know…” the first woman said in fear. The fairy godmother, Valentina said nothing and took off on a horse for King Gerard’s castle. “If that wicked woman and her husband followed those two here and hurt them, I’ll turn them into mice!” she mused to herself. The fairy godmother knew what the two blue creatures are, but if they are no longer human, then they are here to fulfill their soon-to-be revealed duties. Valentina swore to their father in the future that his daughters won’t be harmed by their mother and French step-father. She could only hope that no harm befell the two girls and that she isn’t too late.
King Gerard’s castle, 30 minutes later
“Now these are the latest styles for summer dresses. For you, Lotus, this green dress will suit you.” Mrs. Sourberry said, handing a dress over to the redhead behind the dressing curtain. Lotus took a look at it and had to admit that she liked it. It was a forest green off-the-shoulders dress with bright green hanging straps, a split that goes up to only her thigh and the skirt reached to above her ankles. The skirt was decorated with forest green, bright green, and white patterns on it. “Merci, Madame Sourberry.” Lotus replied, putting the dress on. It fitted her, even with her mid-riff structure. In fact, it showed a little cleavage. “You’re quite welcome, my dear. I also have these flats for you.” Mrs. Sourberry said, giving the redhead the pair of shoes. Lotus smiled at the design of the flats. While they are the same color as the dress, they are wide enough to fit her newly widened feet.
“Merci again.” Lotus said. The maid then turned her attention to Paige. “As for you, Paige, this purple dress will work for you.” she said, handing a dress over to the auburn haired beauty behind the dressing curtain. Paige’s dress was different from Lotus’s. It was a light purple three-quarter length sleeved dress with pink trim. The sleeves and neck collar has some lace on it, but it was enough to compliment it. The skirt of the dress reached to below knee-length. “Grazie, Mrs. Sourberry.” Paige said, slipping it on. Again, it fitted her. “And here are some flats for you as well, dearie.” Mrs. Sourberry replied, giving the auburn haired Smurfette a pair of shoes. They were the same style as Lotus’s flats, but were light purple instead of green.
Meanwhile, at the front of the castle, Papa, Smurfette, Gutsy, and Handy arrived with Clockwork. King Gerard was waiting for them by the castle gate. “King Gerard, we got here as soon as we could. Where are the new Smurfettes?” Papa asked, concern formed on his face. “They’re with Mrs. Sourberry getting cleaned up, my friends. I’ll escort you to the mess hall. They’ll be down any minute now.” Gerard answered, getting down to business as well. As the Smurfs followed King Gerard to the mess hall, Mrs. Sourberry was already putting plates of food down on the table. “I don’t know what your food preferences are, dearies, but I hope that it is to your liking.” the elderly maid said. The twins didn’t answer right away for they dug into their meals. Soon enough, King Gerard, Clockwork, and the Smurfs walked on in. “Mrs. Sourberry, perfect timing. The Smurfs are here.” Gerard announced.
Mrs. Sourberry smiled before picking up Papa, Smurfette, Gutsy, and Handy and placing them on the table. Lotus swallowed her food before speaking, “Tha who are ‘ere?” “We are Smurfs, my dear.” Papa answered, shocking the twins. Handy swallowed a lump that formed in his throat while his cheeks turned bright purple. The new Smurfettes are beautiful, even if they look physically different from Smurfette herself. They both have green eyes, one Smurfette’s green eyes are paler than the other, but the engineer couldn’t deny his attraction to them. Gutsy, on the other hand was drooling while wearing a lovesick smile. “Smurfs? Oh, so vou are tha Smurfs King Gerard told us about.” Lotus said before remembering what the young king has told her.
Both Handy and Gutsy sighed dreamily at the sound of Lotus’s voice. Yes, she sounds like Painter, but only more feminine and melodic. The redhead noticed the two Smurfs’ reactions to her and frowned. She could tell that they are only interested in her beauty and nothing more. Smurfette giggled at the scene across from her. The blonde was used to seeing the boys’ reactions when it came to pretty women. “Yes, we are. However, we are hoping to learn more about you and your…” Papa started saying before realizing that he hasn’t gotten the personal relationship between the Smurfettes right. “sister, Monsieur.” Lotus added, keeping an emotionless front on the outside. “Ah yes, you and your sister. My name is Papa Smurf.” the village elder continued, introducing himself in the process. The rest of the Smurfs followed with their introductions:
“I’m Smurfette.”
“T-The name’s Handy Smurf.”
“And Ah’m Gutsy Smurf, lassies.”
Paige smiled warmly. She can tell that the Smurfs are quite friendly. “It’s a pleasure to meet you all. I’m Paige Francesco.” Paige replied in a cheerful tone. Handy was more focused on the auburn haired Smurfette. She spoke with a strong Italian accent and it fitted with her beautiful face. The engineer wanted nothing more than to listen to her talk, even if it is something that isn’t interesting to him. Lotus rolled her emerald green eyes in annoyance before muttering, “Oh brother.” under her breath. The redhead then sighed before adding, “And Ai’m Lotus Francesco. And oui, we look more human than vou think.” Smurfette noticed the biting sarcasm in Lotus’s voice tone. Something tells her that the redhead will be much harder to befriend than her twin sister. Gutsy, on the other hand was smirking. This exotic Smurfette is going to be hard to charm, but the Scotssmurf never backed down from a challenge.
“I’m guessing that you and your sister are twins, right Lotus?” Papa asked, ignoring Lotus’s voice tone. “Oui, we are twins, Papa.” Lotus answered. “TWINS?!” both Handy and Gutsy exclaimed in shock. The redhead flashed a smirk at the boys’ shocked reactions. So what if it was rude for her to do? She always despised the attention she gets from men, so anything that bugs them is sweet revenge to her. Smurfette cleared her throat before stating, “Papa, have you noticed that their skin is a little darker than ours?” The village elder took a good look at the twins and realized that the blonde was right. The twins’ skin wasn’t the same shade of blue as their skin, but it wasn’t totally dark either. “I just noticed, Smurfette, but my only guess is that Lotus and Paige had a darker skin tone as humans that resulted in a darker blue skin tone upon becoming Smurfettes.”
“Oui, vou’re more observant than Ai first thought. Paige and Ai had lightly tan skin as humans. And we’re not from this time period, either.”
“Ye lassies are from tha future?!”
Lotus turned her head towards Gutsy, causing him to realize that he nearly embarrassed himself just now. “N-Not tha’ isn’t smurfy or anythin’ like tha’…” he bashfully said, his cheeks a bright shade of purple. The redhead rolled her eyes again. “Idiot…” she muttered under her breath. Lotus was getting annoyed with him and not just because of his lovesick vibe either. “Yes, they are from the future and my godc***dren!” a voice shouted, causing everyone to turn their heads to the source. “Great Smurfs, Valentina, what brings you here?” Papa asked, surprised to see the temperamental fairy godmother at King Gerard's castle. The twins’ eyes widened in shock at the sight of the fairy godmother. “M-Mademoiselle Valentina?!” Lotus finally exclaimed. One thought ran through the twins’ minds:
