The room stank of some sort of noxious paint odor. Nearby I could
plainly see several large 55 gallon drums clearly labeled with
the standard 'Haz-mat' stickers. If I had my glasses I could
probably discern their contents based on the required codes. But
since I was currently strapped to an oversized stainless steel
gurney, that would prove difficult, and surely a waste of time
anyway.
I'm certain some explanation is necessary. However the details of
this situation are as hazy to me as they may be to you. All I
remember was Jake, the big cheese at the plant, asking me to
oversee an unusually large chemical delivery out to a warehouse
on the east side of town. Perhaps if someone had hired a
competent delivery driver I wouldn't be wherever I was at this
moment. Those little shits keep dropping the containers, but I
digress.
It was about this moment in my thought process that I heard an
elevator screech to a halt, soon followed by the sound of a man
talking. The discussion was either in another language or far too
technical for me to follow, but it steadily moved closer.
Eventually two people stood over my table; they only briefly
glanced at me before continuing their conversation.
The first unusual thing about the doctor and Igor (what I began
calling them since they were in no hurry to share names) was that
the assistant, Igor, was a rather beautiful young, blonde,
female. The one I assumed was in charge, based on the
conversation, was a bespectacled man of his early 40's.
Everything about the doctor said to me "Insurance Adjuster" since
he was a rather boring average looking man whom you may find at a
bar as the designated driver. Needless to say they looked nothing
like your run of the mill Doctor and Igor. For a brief moment I
thought perhaps I was in a legitimate hospital for some injury,
but my mind couldn't explain the drums of chemicals.
I stopped confusing myself with thoughts long enough to listen in
on the conversation.
Doctor: "He has tested negative on all the key points?"
Igor: "Mm-hmm." At this point she checks her clipboards.
Doctor: "So we've recalibrated the trans-stator, and the
capacitance gel checks out on the Ohm-meter. What am I
forgetting?"
Igor briefly runs over her charts while the Doc taps his pen on
his fingers. "Well we haven't discussed the issue of the organ
removal."
Doctor: "Right, right, right, right... Well now's a good time I
suppose."
I took this brief opportunity to clear my throat in case anyone
forgot I was here. However they barely flinched at the sound.
Despite my presence I was not involved.
Igor: "The subjects testicles should definitely be removed, their
presence could possibly compromise the final subject." At this
unfortunate moment both of them took one good look at my crotch.
I could only imagine the look on my face.
The doctor finally looked back at Igor: "I have to disagree."
"ME TOO!" I yelled.
Doc: "I fear that this will compromise the base subject. Any
violation of said subject before the experiment could result in
complications."
I chimed in again: "You go Doc!"
Igor: "The same procedure was very effective with the simian
subjects."
"You removed the poor monkey's Monkey!? You're sick!" I protested
Doc: "They were immediately destroyed following the experiment,
this one is going to have to survive to explain the psychological
permutations."
"Man, the poor monkeys," I thought out loud.
Igor: "I just don't think we should go changing the parameters on
the first human subject."
"The First? Well I'm honored but, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING
ABOUT!!"
The doctor ignored me and continued:, "If you feel it's
necessary, but you're doing the shaving."
I finally gave in: "YO!! Subject is not monkey!! Subject can hear
you!!"
The Doc seemed suddenly quite irritated; he gave the gurney a
good swift kick sending me rolling through a swinging door into
another room. I caught a glimpse of the girl waving 'Bye' before
the doors swung shut. Then the gurney, and my head, slammed into
something. Stopping the gurney and effectively knocking me out...
I awoke this time with a bad headache, but after a brief
assessment, I found that was the least of my worries. My
breathing was complicated by a breathing device, a sort of
snorkel. The snorkel was necessary to keep me from drowning in
this pool of thick water I was immersed in. I waved my hand
through the transparent, but slightly green, liquid.
"It's capacitance gel." A female voice intoned in my head. I
looked around for the source, and saw Igor waving to me through
the thick goo. "We planted a device in your inner ear that we can
use it to transmit to you. It's one way, solely for us to
communicate to you." This new information was helpful but
neglected to make me feel at ease.
I examined the capsule I was trapped in; I beat on a few of the
walls in a vain attempt at escape. Then the doctor's voice
materialized in my head, "He's struggling, excellent, that should
energize the muscles with his natural energy." This of course
caused me to immediately cease my struggle out of defiance.
The girl began again, "Well time to activate the transmo-.. Oh
shoot I left the speaker on." Then the voice blooped out, and the
activity continued in the control room.
I chose to use this time to check myself out. I had been stripped
of my clothes at some point, and floated naked in this gel. I
then confirmed that my testicles were still firmly between my
legs, sure enough they were. As for the rest of me, I still
looked big, strong, and hairy. I flexed my arm and put a good
strong left into the capsule wall. I barely glanced the blow off
the glass enclosure due to my lack of leverage.
It was then I noticed a red light blink on outside the capsule.
The light was closely followed by a warm feeling enveloping my
body. A glance at the control booth provided me with no
information, the doctors were deeply involved in the instrument
readings. The warmth intensified. The feeling began to progress
from simply a warmth to something reminiscent of the time I
grabbed that stripped electrical wire. The immediate result of
this electrical charge was that all the hair on my body fell out
and immediately gravitated to the bottom of the chamber. Even my
scalp was soon cleaned of my normally short, cropped blonde hair.
The light outside changed to a yellow indicator. The warmth
faded, then a burst of absolute pain spasmed my body. The short
burst was followed by several more before the yellow indicator
light faded out. That's when the voice returned.
Igor: "Now that was the DNA resequencer, I'd like to tell you
that the painful part is over now. But I can't be sure since our
previous subjects were just monkeys. Now we will be turning on a
growth accelerator, be careful with your hands. The nails will
grow quite rapidly." The voice faded again and she returned to
the instrument panels.
The indicator light flashed green now. Nothing appeared to be
happening. I felt like I was shaking but I assumed it was just
anxiety. Then I looked at my fingers, sure enough the nails were
growing, but something else was happening as well. My fingers
appeared smaller. I looked over my entire body in the slight
reflection of the capsule. It appeared to be shrinking all over.
Especially my once muscular arms and legs. I also noticed my hair
was growing rapidly as well.
So far all I could see was that I was shrinking. I assumed for a
moment that this was some sort of shrink ray, and I hoped that I
was being used for a good cause. But then a great pressure
developed in my hips, making me feel as if I needed to pee. But
suddenly with an audible crack, even in this goo, I felt my
pelvic bones snap into what, at the moment, felt like a more
comfortable position. I was immediately more concerned about what
was happening. I looked again at my fingers, the nails were
moderately long, but then I noticed the distinctly feminine shape
to my hands. I looked at my reflection again; my entire body
seemed distinctly male, but definitely more effeminate. My hair

I watched my legs thin out and gain the feminine curves that make
them appear very long and beautiful. My feet shrank down till
they were very small and cute. Meanwhile my hips continued to

expand. Then I reached down between my legs to catch my male

Again I looked and saw my torso had shrunk in height but my hips

even longer and shapelier. Then the most disturbing change began,
that took my mind off of all others. I felt my chest tighten. I

Then they expanded rapidly. Growing out to proportions I couldn't

the doctors had long ago decided that as long as they were

As the green blinking light stopped blinking, my hair finally

eyes refocused I found myself staring at what should have

Then the voice returned, "We are now running some tests honey,

I agreed this sounded like some good news despite the 'position'
this put me in, but now the bad.
She continued, "The bad news is that you are, by some miracle,
pregnant."
This caused me to nearly choke on the respirator. I never wanted
to be a girl, and I certainly, never, in a million years, wanted
to give birth to a child, out of MY body.
"We theorize that you have impregnated yourself. When your womb
was forming and the female eggs with it, that as the testicles
were drawn in and destroyed, some sperm escaped and impregnated
the eggs. Which is where our concern about that developed from."
At this point, even from my position I could see the girl glare
at the male doctor, he slinked off to a far corner of the room.
It became obvious that at this point she had genuine
understanding and concern for me. It was comfortable, if only for
a brief moment.
"We are going to turn on the accelerator again and attempt to
accelerate you through the pregnancy. This is all experimental,
but it'll probably be better than going through 9 months of this
all alone." She announced.
I nodded my acceptance, and soon the green light blinked on
again. Nothing happened at first but soon, I felt more sickness
in my stomach. Then the sickness faded but soon my stomach began
a very slow expansion. It grew larger and larger, and despite
being suspended in gel, I could feel the weight of the child
bearing down on me. My hips expanded slightly more, and my
breasts grew heavy with milk, seeping a little into the
surrounding gel.
My stomach was a fantastic size and I put a hand on my tummy, and
soon the child kicked. A strange female bond made me feel pride
for the child. Then the pain struck. The body was beginning to
give birth, the pain hit in several very fast strong spikes.
Acceleration caused these contractions to come and go very
quickly. My stomach seemed strangely to grow more. My hips
stretched painfully and I reflexively assumed a position with my
legs spread wide. Soon there was some minor relief in my groin
and a bubble of water floated into the gel.
"That's your water breaking, here comes the baby." The girl told
me from the booth.
I was almost instantly hit by the most painful of contractions,
and I pushed with all my might. I felt something move, and I
pushed again. This time I felt something push outwards from my
vagina. The look on the ladies face then changed from interest
and wonder, to a sort of horror. She then scrambled to push the
call button.
"Now don't be alarmed but they baby appears to be coming out feet
first. But the accelerator is affecting it as well so I would be
more concerned about it growing on the way out."
I pushed again and the pressure moved outwards, and soon over the
belly I could see what she was talking about, Small legs dangled
from between my legs, and these legs appeared to be aging as they
dangled, they were already a year old as I saw them. I pushed and
pushed trying to evacuate this quickly growing child. My belly
distending more and more. Soon I was pushing out the waist of a 4
year old, and then the developing chest of a 12 year old and
finally the head of a 16 year old. It was fantastically painful,
and very weird to push out an almost fully grown "child"
As soon as the child emerged, the doc and Igor rushed from the
booth to open the capsule and rescue my new daughter from
drowning in this gel. She was quickly whisked away and the signs
of my pregnancy faded as quickly as they came, leaving me merely
a young woman as they pulled me from the capsule.
I rested my weight on the girl I had called Igor and she asked
me, "Are you ready to begin your life as a symbol of a brave new
world of science?"
I was mad, confused, happy, and lost all at the same time. But
mostly I was tired beyond belief and managed only to ask, "Why
me?"
The doctor told me then that it was because one of our idiot
delivery guys dropped a 55 gallon drum of chemicals all over the
delivery door of the facility, and this was a sort of revenge.
And in my exhaustion I could only laugh as they dragged me off to
a chamber to rest and record my vitals.
I looked ahead to a very strange new life, but I paused for only
a moment to ask the female doctor, "Please, just don't tell my
wife."
