How To Book! By Mary Beth Sanford Players: Chuck, the main character, his aunt Rose and Cousin Cindy, his neighbor Susan and that man Willard. Synopsis: He's been cross dressing for a long time. His cousin's things mostly. Dressing, then reading those little stories he buys. Those stories on boys not like him but dressed like him. Those boys and their petticoat punishment. Fantasies while wearing a little touch of reality. Fantasies for him perhaps, but not for his aunt. His aunt would seem them as a sort of 'How To Book'. Facts From Fiction: We've all dressed up, at one time or another and dreamed those dreams we dare dream. Those of us who dare such dreams that is. We've also worried over that day we might get caught. That too a fantasy at times. So, I've written this one with those in mind, and twisted it just a tiny bit for yours. Story: "Don't strain!" Chuck thought as he opened his little novelette to the stories beginning. He'd heard that from his mom so many times growing up that it was as automatic as putting the seat down when he finished. Although that particular rule, another of his mothers, made him smile some. Chuck smiled, because his punishment for leaving the seat up was to sit and potty just like a girl for the rest of that day. A horrible way to treat a boy, or would be, if that boy didn't lean in that direction. He smiled again because in his petticoats and dress he had to go potty like a girl anyway. Just didn't work any other way. Too many layers, he thought, and he's smiled stayed. Actually those slips, petticoats, panties, dresses, and everything else he liked, were only his when his cousin and aunt were gone. Gone like now. Off to church leaving that heathen or him, to an empty house, a whole room full of delights and his new booklet that came in on Wednesday. The picture, a pin and ink illustration of a boy being pulled by an angry woman into a room with a girl holding panties. To Chuck, that was him, only he'd be pulling his aunt towards his cousin if it was. His eyes settled on chapter one: "He cried as his aunt dragged him off towards his cousin's bedroom. He cried because he knew what was coming. He knew it without even seeing those panties his cousin was holding as they reached the door..." Chuck read as that image changed in his mind. His face now on that boy. Poor kid, Chuck thought, as he moved his little pinkie to and fro. It was resting gently on the chiffon of his dress. How utterly horrible that would be, Chuck also thought, as he stood to pull his panties up. A wonderful thing panties, he thought, just before adjusting his slips and dress. He would finish that section on his cousin's bed he mused as he left the bathroom. The toilet, now in the background, still filling when he heard that voice and saw the face behind it: "Don't move, or scream little girl, and you won't get hurt! Where's your mother?" That, as it happens was Chuck's biggest advantage. An advantage because he was his cousin's size, and nearly as pretty in her things. His hair back when he was doing guy stuff, was just as long, or longer, as her's when it was tied off at the sides with her ribbons. He could, if he dared, walk down the street and not be made and he was five years older than she was. Actually he was wearing stuff she wore when she was three years younger than that. Her favorites then, and still only because she was a pageant princess. Like he saw himself, at times, and for the record. Which was a large part of why the large man with the knife said little girl. Chuck's silence, in those seconds, taken for fear. Chuck's fear or that little girl he looked like softened the face of the man who changed his question: "You alone?" Chuck nodded yes. "Mother out?" the man asked. Chuck nodded again. "Okay sweets listen to me and listen carefully. I don't want to hurt you, and if you be a good little girl for me that's not going to happen. Understood?" the man said relaxing slightly. Chuck nodded. He would have wet himself in those first few seconds if he hadn't already gone potty. The guy thought he was a little girl, and that helped but getting caught by anyone was scary beyond scary. So scared that Chuck had forgotten the thin booklet, he'd dropped, when the man said freeze. Chuck was petrified as the man took his hand and walked him into the living room. "Your mommy got any money around here honey?" the man asked looking down at him. Chuck nodded yes. That proverbial sugar bowl held a few bucks at any given time and Chuck pointed in the direction of the kitchen. He was led off just as firmly as when he was drawn into the living room and another point of Chuck's hand got the man to the only cash there was. "This is it?" the man said looking at eight dollars and thirty one cents spread on the table. Chuck had just counted it with his eyes, as did the man. Chuck nodded yes again. Chuck wished desperately that it was more for no other reason than that look on the man's face. Chuck was suddenly and desperately glad he'd gone potty. "Okay, here's the deal precious... We're going to walk out of here hand in hand. You are going to be a very good little girl, and be very quiet, and walk with me to the park. If you do that I'll let you go when we hit that small grove of trees on the other side. If you don't... If you don't, and try to run or yell, I'm going to cut that pretty little dress into shreds and you with it! Understood?" the man said brandishing the long kitchen knife as he stuffed the money and change into his pocket. Chuck nodded. It was a mile to the park and another few blocks to those trees at the edge of it. Ten minutes at most, less if Chuck hurried it a little. Ten minutes out, ten back, was twenty. His aunt and cousin were due back in thirty. He would just have enough time to change. "Okay honey let's go and remember what I said!" the man said taking Chuck's hand. They almost reached the door when the man tugged at Chuck before opening the hall closet. He reached in and found a light jacket belonging to his uncle, releasing Chuck to slip it on. The knife he held went into his right picket. "You got a stroller or doll carriage or something?" the man asked. Chuck nodded. He didn't, but his cousin did. She didn't play with it any more but it decorated her room. "Okay, let's get it and put one of your dolls in it. Looks better you pushing something. You got a doll?" the man asked. Chuck nodded turning towards Cindy's room. He grabbed the carriage and took out two of the three dolls leaving the baby one in it. The man stood by the door and said, "Typical little girl's room! You like Cinderella I see! They showed that once in prison. The movie that is. Nearly wet myself from laughing when we were told that was the movie for that night. All set? Okay, let's go!" he said moving out of the door so Chuck could push the white whicker carriage past. They moved to the door and the man left first letting Chuck push the carriage past the threshold before helping him move it down the steps. "Remember what I told you!" the man said moving the jacket away with his hand in that pocket with the knife. Chuck nodded once more as they began walking down the path side by side. Chuck pushing the carriage in front of him and the man walking along side. "Hey, slow down!" he said as Chuck started to hurry a little and added, "Be lady like! I don't want any more attention than necessary. Just a little girl and her daddy right?" the man said keeping his hand on Chuck's shoulder. Chuck didn't look at him nor nod but he did slow. It wasn't clear what was scaring him most in those first few seconds: The fact he might not make it back to the house to change, or this stranger walking along at his side. Why did he pick this dress he thought? People up and down the street. Washing cars, leaning against fences, mowing lawns and most stopping to glance. At him? Did they know? His panties? No! The dress wasn't that short. Yes! It was that short. Stupid carriage wasn't really big enough for him to stand up taller. Chuck looked then looked away. A smile from those two women talking, a wave from the guy washing his car. Another little girl looked on... Envy? Chuck's heart raced but not from the pace this guy held but from what he was facing. That ten minutes to the park was gone and they were just half way there. His aunt would be wondering where he was by the time he made it back. How would he explain this? Could he? The answer came as quickly as that question... No! The book! That damn book what had he done with it? It had dropped? Yes, right by the bathroom when the man said freeze. Right in the middle of the hall. Pink! His aunt would see it. She'd read the title: "My Cousin's Little Sissy!" The pictures! She'd see the illustrations! That boy getting dresses as a little girl. His heart felt like it was just outside of his chest as he imagined his aunt putting that two and another two together. She would be just starting to walk towards the house about now. "Chuck?" his aunt said a few minutes faster than Chuck imagined as she added, "Go see if he's dozed off. So lazy that boy!" "Mom?" Cindy said from her room. She passed it going to the guest room Chuck's was using. "What?" her mother said expecting to see her nephew sound asleep. Only it wasn't that kind of a "mom". It had a question in it. "My pram is gone?" Cindy said using the United Kingdom's version of carriage because it sounded so much more elegant. Elegant was more than justification for keeping little girl stuff. "Now where could that have gone? Chuck? No. What would he need with your carriage? Are all your dolls there?" Chuck's aunt Rose asked suddenly concerned but not sure why. "Nope! My Betsie Wetsie is gone as well," Cindy said. "Anything else missing?" Rose asked as she yelled, "Chuck?" "Mom! My dress is gone!" Cindy said looking at the open closet and missing that large amount of pink that had become part of the scene. She loved that dress and wished it still fit at times. "So is the slip!" she added. "Now what in heaven's name is going on here? Chuck! You had better answer me!" Rose said as she turned out of Cindy's room towards his. The booklet, a pastel pink, sat on her hardwood floor and she picked it up. She had just opened the cover when the doorbell rang. "Hi! Who was that man with Cindy?" Susan, their neighbor asked. "Cindy? What man? Cindy is here?" Rose said. There was a touch, a moment of panic in Rose as she called out, "Cindy!" "What?" Cindy said poking her head around the door. "Then who was that girl in Cindy's dress? They simply cannot be two dresses like that since I made it!" Susan said. "What dress?" Rose asked but stopped, a thought went across her face as she asked, "Was she pushing a doll carriage?" "Yes! White? Cute!" Susan said. "My carriage?" Cindy said coming out of her room. "Who?" she asked coming up along side of her mom. "So who was that then?" Susan asked still slight confused as she added, "I thought it was Cindy at first. I mean because of the dress! Obviously it couldn't have been because the dress fit. She's a size or two bigger now?" Rose looked down that booklet. The title, the picture on the front, obviously a boy dressed as a girl with another girl and a woman. Another picture just inside. Same boy pulling on that same girl's hair. "Chuck?" Rose said. "Excuse me?" Susan said and then added, "He might fit into that little dress but I can tell you that wasn't a boy that walked past." "What's that?" Cindy asked leaning over to look at the book her mother was holding open. "Just you never mind. Go start dinner. Susan and I are going to go look for Chuck!" Rose said taking hold of Susan's arm as she stepped onto the porch. "Can't I come?" Cindy asked. "No, now go do as I said. I'll be right back," Rose said. Her mind was in a turmoil, as she walked Susan, in a renewed state of confusion down the path to the sidewalk. "What is going on?" Susan asked and added, "And who was that girl? Honestly, that couldn't be Chuck! And I didn't recognize the man at all. That's what scared me at first." "I'm not sure! I mean I have an idea but I'm not even sure of that. I have no idea who this man is but I'm damn sure going to find out. Now where did you see them and what direction were they heading?" Rose asked. "West towards the park. Walking casually. That little girl was pushing the carriage and the man was walking along side. I almost called out to Cindy... Okay so that wasn't Cindy but Rose, I swear that wasn't Chuck either," Susan said. Rose was walking at a brisk clip, but she handed the booklet to her friend. "What's this?" Susan asked taking the booklet from Rose and looking at the picture. "Good heavens!" Susan said. "Exactly!" Rose answered. "You don't think... That can't be Chuck!" Susan said putting that two and two together. It was the title over the picture and then Cindy's dress. "I don't know! But, I do know that I'm going to find out. There! Is that them?" Rose said looking off at a pink dot. "Can't tell yet..." Susan said squinting. "Got to be them." Rose said as her pace quickened. Chuck, meanwhile, was spending most of his time trying to come up with reasons for why he would be doing this and failing to settle on anything logical. That pace set by the man put them still a good quarter of a mile from the park and well past the time his aunt would be home. They were a thousand feet behind them but clearly the dress was recognizable and Rose imagined it was Chuck in it. They started running. "Chuck!" Rose called out. He was just within hearing distance. "Don't stop! She said Chuck!" the man said gripping Chuck's shoulder more tightly. Chuck knew better but he continued walking. "Something is wrong!" Rose said between gasps. "I'm calling the police!" Susan said as she slowed and pulled her cell phone from her light jacket. She was out of breath but said what she had to say, "Help! A man has my neighbor's nephew... Child I mean, and is taking her... Him to the park. We're right behind them on Culver heading West! Hurry!" A Flash hit the police car's screen and a second later the information was posted. Four cars, close enough went code three closing from two different directions. One called out to dispatch with it's sirens in the background: "Confirm this as a little girl in a pink dress with a male, Caucasian, six feet? Over?" "Ma'am! Ma'am, is the child in a pin dress?" the dispatcher asked. "Yes! Yes, that's him... Her!" Susan said hoping her own confusion didn't add to theirs. "Unit one one zero, that's affirmative on the little girl! I repeat, that is an affirmative on the little girl. There are two women closing on you from the East. I have no information on the adult male!" Dispatch said. "Roger, we've got them!" the officer said as he slammed his foot on the break bringing the car to a half circle stop. Both doors were open as the car rocked. "Freeze!" the passenger side officer said as he started to draw his weapon. The man instantly bolted for the park. The officer ran parallel but angling towards the running man and tackled him on the lawn of the last house. A second car also skidded at the curb and two more officers joined the first two. A third car came around the corner and it too skidded to a stop. Bedlam for the better part of three or four minutes as a mass of blue covered the large man as Chuck looked on. He'd thought about turning around and almost did still holding onto the carriage. His movement gave him a different angel and he saw his aunt and her neighbor. "Knife!" a man's voice said out loud making Chuck look back just as an officer was pulling the arm up with the knife in it. Chuck was frozen as the street filled with people. A woman appeared from the side yard of that last house watching the officers then spotting Chuck. She ran to him and placed herself between that fighting mass and Chuck. "It's okay sweetheart. You're okay!" she said moving close to draw Chuck towards her. Her intent obvious as she held the back of Chuck's head to her stomach. Like hell it is! Chuck thought as his world continued to unravel. His aunt closed with Susan a hundred feet back and joined the woman hugging Chuck. Her anger over what she thought now fear over what was happening. She'd seen the man, the police and heard the yell over the knife. "Chuck! Chuck, are you okay?" Rose asked as Susan came up. An officer, one of those from the last car came over. "Is she okay?" he asked. "Is it Chuck?" Susan asked. "Chuck?" the officer asked a couple of feet from the cluster of woman now formed around him. "This, officer is my nephew. That man... That man forced him to do this or something. I'm not sure. I found him gone along with my daughter's dress and carriage. Susan here alerted me to what was happening. Please, can I get him into your car before the world finds out?" Rose said. "My house! Officer, if it's okay, I live right here. He can rest in my living room. That... That pervert!" the woman said almost spitting the words out. "Sure! Thanks. Go ahead till we get the suspect into the car and settled. We'll need statements," the sixth officer said as he turned to watch the struggle subside. The man was in cuffs and four officers of the six were forcing him into the back seat of the second cruiser. The fifth holding the door. "Chuck, what happened? We saw the carriage missing, then the dress and this book. This horrid little book. Are you okay?" Rose said now deeply concerned over what she thought had happened and shivered over what she imagined would have happened. "Yes!" Chuck said and began to cry. He lost it. A mixture of shock, fear and what he was still wearing with a couple of dozen bystanders looking on. "Come on honey, let's get you inside. I'll make some cocoa!" the woman who offered her house said. The three women and Chuck worked their way to the side of the house and in through the garage. The street was still chaos as people filed from homes all the way back to Roses house. "What happened? How did you end up this way?" Rose asked as they started taking chairs around the kitchen table. Chuck looked around suddenly very self conscious of what he was wearing. He still wasn't sure how he was going to explain this and then he saw the book. He was shaking. Everyone was shaking. "Did he make you do this? Did that man dress you like this?" Rose asked. Chuck nodded yes. The question almost got a no. A no would mean something else had made him do this. His aunt had that book. "Is this his?" Rose asked as she held the book up. Chuck again nodded yes. It was too good to be true. His aunt thinking that man made him dress that way and that the book was his. It was perfect. "Did he... Did he do anything else?" Rose asked fearing the worse. Chuck shook his head no. Rose was visibly relieved as she slumped a little in the chair. "Water's on!" the woman that owned the home said and added, "I'm Helen." "Rose!" Rose said and added, "Susan and my nephew Chuck." "Who was he?" Rose asked of Chuck. Chuck shrugged. "Well, never mind that. Susan, can I borrow your cell phone?" Rose asked. "Of course!" Susan said as she handed it to Rose who punched in her home phone. "Cindy? Yes, I know! It was your cousin. He was abducted. Listen honey, go into Chuck's room and get him a T-shirt, jeans... Hold on a second..." Rose said before cupping the phone. "Do you need underwear?" Rose asked of Chuck. Chuck blushed a bright pink and nodded his yes. "Okay! Cindy. T-shirt, jeans and a pair of shorts. Don't worry about shoes and socks and grab that dress bag so I can hide this one he's wearing," Rose said. It took twenty five minutes for Cindy to reach the house with Chuck's clothes and in between Rose was brought outside for her statement. The officer's question about the little girl being okay repeated. He asked twice more if she was a boy after Rose made it clear he was. The scene eased as the car with the suspect left. When the other two drove off the pedestrians milling about began moving back to their own homes or off in small groups to share what they had. Near as anyone came a little girl was abducted and being taken to the park. Chuck changed and Cindy took charge of her carriage while his aunt zipped the bag closed with everything Chuck had on. Chuck did go potty, this time standing and just closed the seat when he finished. They all walked back in silence. People looked but no connections were made or none that were obvious. Susan left Chuck, Rose and Cindy for her house as the trio made it into theirs. A detective would do a follow up on the particulars the officer had said. It was two hours later when those particulars were given. His name, that suspect, was Willard, a convicted robber serving five years before he walked away from the minimum security farm seven miles North of where Rose lived. It was an automatic five years more for the escape and whatever he'd get for the charges pending which included breaking and entering, abduction and abduction with the threat of grave bodily harm. There was a girl friend picked up just on the other side of that grove of trees. She would be charged with aiding and abetting a fugitive. By nine o'clock the world was nearly back to normal again as Chuck laid gratefully in a hot tub of water. His crisis had passed. His risk of exposure covered by that odd series of events. He was about as happy as he could be remembering that walk in those things. It was three days later when things changed a bit. He was in another tub of hot water soaking after his day of play. Those events behind him and so too any remaining thought of risk. Even the detective, two days later, made it clear that a testifying might not be necessary since there was a plea bargain under way. His fantasies, now free to form again, did so in the tub. At least until there was a knock on the bathroom door. "Yes?" Chuck asked. "I've set some clean things out on your bed!" his aunt said and then adding, "We're making popcorn!" "Be right out!" Chuck said cheerfully. He was four minutes past that when he opened the door to the room he was using. Those things on his bed were his cousins. A quilted pink robe with Barbie smiling from the front of it to match Barbie on the nightgown. A less fancy pair of panties on that. Her slippers, the ones with the bunnies neatly sitting on the floor. "Aunt Rose?" Chuck called out. "Yes?" Rose said coming to his door. "These are Cindy's?" Chuck said. "Yes, I know! Did I tell you what that detective said? No, I don't think I did... Wait, let me think? Nope, I'm sure I didn't. Anyway, it seems that the man who abducted you was rather surprised to find out that he'd taken a boy dressed as a girl. Shocked the detective said. Very shocked as a matter of fact. He swore up and down that the only kid he saw in that whole time was just that little girl. No boy at all. Never! Seems that when he broke into our house that little girl was already dressed. Cute little thing, he said. He also made it clear that he never had any intentions of harming her. Said she reminded him of her sister's daughter and he wouldn't have hurt her. Not in a million years. Just thought that taking her along would help him make it to that grove of trees. She was cute and a guy with a cute little girl wouldn't raise too many eyebrows. "Isn't that odd? He was very clear on that part the detective said. He also made it very clear, again, that he never saw a boy at any time? Oh, and he didn't know about that little book either. Funny thing is, and this part that detective got right before coming over, are the prints on that book. There were only three: Susan's, mine and yours. That was it? Just those! Now isn't that odd?" Rose said before pausing and in the silence Chuck panicked. He was at square one and didn't have a word to say in his defense. He stood, also in silence. His eyes breaking contact with his aunt's "Thought that was the case. Anyway, I've just finished reading that story. This... these things are right out of the first chapter. So, go ahead and get changed. Cindy won't be dressing you though like the girl in the book. She's a bit too young for such things. However, I'm thinking how fun it's going to be to be that aunt. Oh, Cindy is looking forward to teaching you how to be a girl! She's always wanted a little sister and now that she's almost got one she's thrilled. She's always hated the thought of those dresses just hanging in her closet. Did you read that book?" His aunt asked suddenly changing the subject. "No," Chuck said softly without looking up. "Too bad. Interesting though and we'll get through it together. You can count on that. Oh, and that last chapter... That last chapter might take another day or two before we can do that one. Frankly I'm not sure yet where to buy diapers and plastic panties in your size? I'll have to look around first. "Anyway honey, go ahead and get dressed and come join us for popcorn. We can plan on what we are going to be doing for tomorrow. And wearing... Cindy obviously wants you to wear that pink dress again because it's her favorite. I'm sort of favoring the lavender since you've already been in that pink one. We thought we'd let you decide. "The rest I'm afraid won't be up to you. That's going to be my job. Although it's not going to be nearly as difficult as I might have thought. Not difficult at all with that little 'how to book' for guidance." Post Script: Finding diapers and plastic pants, as it turns out, wasn't nearly as difficult as Chuck's aunt thought. There were fifteen chapters in that little how-to-book she was using, and the diapers and baby pants began in chapter twelve. Actually, by the time Chuck returned home from his Summer with his aunt and cousin, there were twenty five chapters in that little how-to-book. Those last, written by his aunt and cousin. His mother, not too long after his arrival home, began writing a few chapters of her own. Most of hers also included diapers and baby pants.

Howie Returns to PennsylvaniaChapter 7

"It seems that I end up in the hospital with something major a lot. I get forced to think about things," he said. "There are better ways to do that. Hopefully, you won't keep this up or your mother is going to be old before her time," she said. "Nobody loves you like your mother. I never thought that I worried you. I feel much safer in Oklahoma than Baltimore," he said. "I feel much safer when you are home with me in Pennsylvania," she said. "Mom, I think I am going to law...

Howie Returns to PennsylvaniaChapter 5

Howie decided to go the southern route. He liked the drive through the Virginia mountains. And he wanted to show Brooke where the Cherokee lived before they were marched to Oklahoma. Howie put a cover over the truck bed. With a cover over the bed, he didn't worry about a place to sleep. The cover was level with the top of the truck cab. Brooke had never been to the University of Virginia or been through the Roanoke Valley. And she wanted to see Charlottesville, where Dorothy was going to...

Howie RandolphChapter 6

His mother said, "Howie, I am worried about you. You are getting mixed up with too many older women. I am sorry that Wanda moved and you had problems with Becky. You are juggling to many things for a boy your age." "My luck with women for the long term is not good," he said. When Howie started back to school and the new semester, he noticed that Becky wasn't in any of his classes. There usually was only one section of Advanced Placement in a subject area, so Howie was surprised that...

It was called the Pledge Leadout. At the first of the dance, the room was darkened. Each pledge came to the spotlight. The girl and her escort were introduced. "Howie, this is the A group. I wouldn't have been asked to join any group before I worked out with you and lost weight. It helps that mom has a high level job at this college too." Howie responded, "You dieted and you exercised. You did it and you deserve the credit. And we are going to have a good time tonight." "Thank you...

Howie Returns to PennsylvaniaChapter 2

Howie was given two years of science credits for his paramedic license. He entered as a freshman. When he signed up for the fourth course, his status changed from special to full time student. Wednesday, he went to the Phi Gamma Delta house for his pledging ceremony. His father was invited and pinned Howie's pledge star on him. Howie listened to the words of the pledge ceremony. Dad was right. It is very much like the Kiowa. Of course, the Kiowa never spoke of Robert E. Lee or the southern...

Howie Returns to PennsylvaniaChapter 4

Howie was up at daybreak and out running on the road. By seven he was in the Fitness Center. Brooke joined him everyday there. She used the Nordic track. Brooke studied after she exercised. Howie only had one final, and that was in Investments. He had an A average as did Dorothy. They both didn't need to study. Howie was so interested, because of the Kiowa trust, that he went way beyond what was required. Dorothy hung on for the ride. Dorothy was one of the few women in the business major...

Howie got home about four a.m. on New Year's Day. He slept until nine then ate breakfast with his parents and children. After they ate, Howie washed dishes with his mother. She asked, "How was the dance?" "Very fancy, but I wasn't able to dance much. It is a high society club. Did you have a good time on the cruise and at the country club?" he asked. "The cruise was wonderful and very romantic. I recommend it for any old married couple. Actually the country club was very nice. They...

The Sketchbook

The idea behind this story actually came from an episode of a show I watched almost 10 years ago. I remembered it last night, and wrote it this morning. Comments, questions, or criticism can be directed to [email protected] or [email protected] The Sketchbook By Allison Voorhees I was drawing a portrait of Christy, my girlfriend, in art class. She was standing over my shoulder as I shaded the strands of honey-colored hair that ran down her shoulders. "Are...

Howe and Watson

“Her name was Kelly Simpson. She was a producer for a TV series that was shown on three different cable networks,” the tiny redhead informed Sally Howe. “Maze, how did you make the ID?” I asked. “Her ID card,” Sally said pointing to it hanging from her jacket. “I’m surprised you missed your chance to say ‘elementary, my dear Watson’,” I said. You do that at least once every shift. “The Shift has just started Marion,” Sally said. “She is such a smart ass,” I said to Maze the forensic lab...

Howe Watson 7th Heaven

The call came from Big Mac the next morning. “Watson, how about you and Howe meeting me in Queen City. Come down tomorrow and be prepared to stay a week at least.” “That’s a long time to stay if we don’t know what we will be doing,” I said. “You can always leave, if you don’t like what you hear,” Mac said. “I’ll talk to Sally and call you back,” I suggested. “Watson, I’ll just hold for you,” He said. “Did you hear?” I asked Howe. “Yes, what have we got to lose?” she asked. “You still...

The Green Book

This story was written as a serial story in my Yahoo group over a period of several months. When I first started the story, I had absolutely no idea where it was going to go from there. The Green Book By Morpheus Part 1 Matt frowned as he looked at the pile of clutter, which was spread out before him. The whole attic was absolutely full of it, of boxes, crates and countless other items, all of which were covered in dust and hadn't been touched in years. And unfortunately it...

BDSM by the Book

BDSM by the Book By Stefani Moore I was rather slow when it came to dating. My love life moved at glacial speed until I met my wife. In high school I was skinny and too short to be any good at sports. At school and in the town I grew up in, outside Sioux City, I got pushed around a lot by other boys, all of which translated into a lack of confidence. Particularly around women. When I got to college I felt like I was the only virgin on campus. I heard other...

Andrea reads a book

Andrea gave a long sigh. "Jeez, Markus, why are we here at a stupid bookstore? This is boring!" "Not everything is sex, Andrea," Markus replied. "I'm here to get you to at least try and develop yourself a bit, damn it." "Dear, the only way I want to develop is going through all the positions with you, you know that! Missionary is so boring, so then we switch to the more fun ones! Especially if I'm the one with the cock." She looked away from Markus, her gaze looked dreamily into the...

By The Book

BY THE BOOK By Geneva In the late fifties I was twentyone, and just graduated from college. I'd been slow in getting a job lined up, and as I really wanted a break anyway, I went back to visit my sister Ellen in the family home. Ellen was the only one at home. Our father had been killed nine years previously in Korea, and our mother had died of cancer when I was still a freshman at college. Mom and Dad hadn't been rich, but Dad's parents had left us with some money in their...

I love playing games with Lisa, she is so good at the roles and we enjoyed a quiet evening until I got an alert from Anika that an enquiry had come through for another AirBNB booking. The Wooden Book

Chapter 1. Representation of the People Lord Philip Harvey sat in his armchair before a roaring fire, frowning at his newspaper in disapproval. The first handful of articles he had perused were completely satisfactory and very much to his liking, but by the time he was half way down page four, he was in a foul mood. "One would think, would one not," he announced grandly, as if addressing the Lord Speaker of the upper house of parliament, "The Times would be above the printing of such...

A Masterful Seduction by the Book

It had been forever since I had time to spend an afternoon wandering through a bookstore. I could have downloaded a book with a push of a button, but there was something I really missed about thumbing through pages and trying to decide what I was going to take home to read. Plus, I needed to get out of the house even if I didn’t have any intention of interacting with anyone except for the college kid doing his homework behind the checkout counter. The bookstore was empty, or at least it felt...

The Book

I was attending a soiree with my wife, Clare (soiree: a fancy term for a late happy hour amongst the intelligentsia and I was happy because I had a very nice scotch, neat, in my hand). Anyway, I was sitting quietly in a corner watching my wife and others in the room. She was talking animatedly with her mentor and friend, Professor Randy Holcomb. Her hand motions were subdued by the fact she had a martini in one hand but I could tell she was trying to get some point across to the professor. To...

There were times in your life when you experienced extreme emotions. When you woke up for early morning practice, you could only grumble in frustration. When you won a game against a hard opponent, you felt joy and pride for yourself and your team. And when you lost, you felt abysmal sadness overwhelm you. Though none of them had anywhere the power of the extreme elation you felt right now with the book in hand. You remember getting it like it was yesterday. Probably because it was yesterday....

Good Book

It started with a book. The company I worked for had arranged a holiday gift offer through one of those warehouse booksellers. We could order any book we wanted. The selected book would be gift-wrapped, mailed and ready for opening Christmas morning. I decided on a gift for my wife, Melissa. We'd been married less than a year yet, being married was more than I'd ever hoped for. To share your life with someone else was wonderful, the intimacy, the devotion, the togetherness. Oh and the sex,...

Leading Lady The Book

Sunday   I moped about the flat. I did some perfunctory cleaning then decided, fuck it, I’d go to the pub and see some friends. My mobile rang around 1pm just as I was buying a couple of glasses of wine. ‘Look, I’m sorry about this weekend.’ ‘It’s fine, really. I know how busy you are.’ She must have detected something in my voice. ‘Look. I am busy. My work matters to me too. If you cant deal with that then we’ll just say goodbye.’ ‘I don’t know if I can deal with it or not.’ ‘Then you need to...

As a general rule, Jason kept to himself. He had a few close friends at school—Matt, a tall, gangly, Marilyn Manson look-alike and Ron, a stocky, bearded outcast who wore Rob Zombie t-shirts, but mostly listened to Pink Floyd. Jason himself had been labeled a Goth kid, even though he didn’t see himself that way. He didn’t wear eyeliner or paint his nails, and if pressed he would say his favorite band was Led Zeppelin or Nirvana. He figured the classification must have started because he was...

Its in the Book

According to Mother, Grandpa and Grandma never quite knew what to do with her sister. Their first daughter, Mother took a position at Anderson’s Fine Apparel, sold my father an expensive cravat, married him and had me. Holly, on the other hand, closer to my age than hers, became a librarian, but never caught a husband. I figured being a librarian was why she wore glasses and maybe the glasses were why she wasn’t married, but what seemed to me odd was her un-remorse about it. In Mother’s view,...

How I Got Addicted To Adult Bookstores

So I had just gotten out of a 3 years relationship with a very hot and very sexual woman and was working nights. The bars closed at the same time I got off so there was really nothing for me to do. I started going to a 24/7 adult bookstore sometimes after work. I had been there a few times and even started to wear pantyhose there under my jeans to jack off in the booths. Some of the booths had a viewing window in them that showed into the booth next to you so you could watch each other getting...

The Lesbian and My Book

It's a long story, but I wound up being in punk bands at an early age, and then I kept falling back into it, sporadically, as the decades flitted past. I found myself facing the final show of what I was hoping was my final band. The band was having to dissolve because of near tragic health circumstances, so the night would be thick with compassion. There would be a merch table highlighting our brand new last album. Plus a lot of other stuff, so I decided to print up ten copies each of a...

(One of a series of stories sequel to the original Showoff) It was easy to find additional yard tasks for Eric to keep him close to my windows two or three days each week. Today he was over cleaning the pool for example, right outside my bedroom window where last week he watched me getting dressed. He is lean and sleek in appearance, much like the...

The Book

Introduction: This story is set in 1999only ten years ago, but it seems like a completely different time, when Goths were the tortured souls of high school, mostly defined by others instead of themselves. This is loosely based on a true story, I was a regular freshman girl with a mad crush on a senior Goth boy, and now I regret not taking it farther. Being a little older and a little more experienced, I wrote this story based on what should have happened. Jason shifted uncomfortably in the...
