Hi, My name is Joe and unlike those stories where you read that the guy

story where I was without a shadow of a doubt forced; I also did not
for a second ever have to learn to like it so without further ado here

Now I would like to be different from the other authors who start at
the beginning but while thinking about it I realized that no matter
where I start it would still be a "beginning"; I was ten years old and
the middle child of five. I was the only boy and child in the entire
family without an identical twin of the same gender at least at that
time l was and right there gives me my idea for where to start.
My parents met when they were teenagers and they married at twenty and
they were alike in as many ways possible for two people a man and a
woman that were not related could be they both even had identical twins
(scary right?) they were even the same age! Well a year into their
marriage, they had Jill and Jane my identical twin sisters; no more
then three years later they had my sister Amy and I. Three years after
that they had Tracy and Terry my younger identical twin sisters (now
you must be thinking "wow, these two parents must be rabbits!" and you
know you wouldn't be to far off). Now I was a very sad and lonely boy,
I know how difficult that can seem after all I had five sisters and
friends to play with ? right? But no, I didn?t have any friends except
for my sister, Amy, the only person in the world that truly knew me.
Well the reason I was so lonely is I was/am a very shy and sensitive
boy. Whenever someone would talk to me, if Amy wasn't there, I would
literally run and hide somewhere; then start to cry until Amy came and
got me. Now you would not think to call me sensitive but more of a
sissy because of my crying and you would also think my sister Amy would
be angry at me for my depending on her for s much and part of my story
starts with that. One-day mom and dad were out shopping for food (which
they had to do a lot) and I had slept in but I woke up hearing voices
so I walked out into the hallway and stopped dead in my tracks when I
heard Jill say "don't you think Joe is such a big pussy?" and Tracy
reply "yeah he cries more then me and Terry do!" Now this was all new
to me and I admit I did get hurt but I wasn't going to cry over just
this since I did cry a lot but then I heard Jane ask Amy "how can you
stand to be around him so much Amy? - He has to be a pain in the ass!".
Amy?s reply was
"Yes he can be sometimes...." that was as much as I heard before I
broke down and ran crying to my room and shut myself up in my closet
where I stayed for a week crying. Whenever I thought anyone had come
looking for me I was wrong; the only reason I came out after that week
was the fact that I finally had to eat and use of the bathroom but I
did it in silence. When Amy spoke to me, all I could do was look at her
hurtfully; start crying and run back to my closet (now I can imagine
that you're thinking that I must have been the biggest sissy in the
world to not have gotten over it after a week but she was my only
friend and the only one I though I could completely trust to love me
unconditionally so her saying that I was any bit of trouble just broke
my heart). Amy finally came in to see what was wrong, I just locked the
door on her so she got mom to come get me - I had to tell someone. Mom
and dad were the only two that weren't talking about a six-year-old boy
nor calling him a pussy or a pain in the ass, so I let her into the
closet and re-shut the door.
"What?s wrong dear?" she asked, I told her all what I heard and she was
infuriated with my sisters for it, calling them into and when
confronted with the tale - my older sisters just shrugged and said in
unison "well he is!" and walked out; the younger two agreed and walked
out as well. Amy bless her heart just broke down into tears of her own
and started to apologize to me so mom left us, together, to go after
our sisters. That was when Amy told me her side "I am so sorry Joe you
know I love you!" she said, so I said to her "then how could you say
that I?m a pain in..." I couldn't get any further, she just hugged me
saying "I said that you could be a pain sometimes because when you run
off to cry you never come looking for me - you just hide even from me
and that is what annoys and hurts me so much" that stunned me enough to
say "you what?"
"I said that you should come to me more often when your hurt instead of
making me come to find you" and her saying that made me overflow with
joy and I forgave her immediately but I still cried into her shoulder
as she held me tight.
We spent a lot more time together over the next few years; as we turned
nine she became very ill, the doctor telling our parents and I that she
was born without enough vital chemicals but they hadn't noticed because
they were only necessary during puberty. Now of course what hurt me the
most about it was that I was told that I could do something about it if
had been born a girl instead of a boy, that?s when I started to cry
about it. The doctor informed us that I could start taking shots that
would allow my body to produce those chemicals but I would go through
puberty the same way a girl does so except for the extra part I would
be a girl. Now my parents were about to object with something like "as
sorry as we are we could never ask our son to do something like this"
but the doctor said it was the only was that Amy would have more then a
ten percent chance to live was if I would take the shots and if I did
then she would have a ninety-nine percent chance at survival (now of
course I can see how you could be thinking that I said that I was
forced and I was and this is how). I looked at Amy and she just held my
hand and said "you know that I will always love you no matter what you
do - right?? Now I was nine, she was my only friend and the only person
that I could turn to, so this is how I was forced because I could never
say ?No? to her if it would mean sending her to her death - of course I
went to the doctor and said "may I please start the shots right now
sir". He looked at my parents and they took me to the side to explain
it to me and make sure that I understood what I was volunteering for, I
kept saying that I didn't care and when I actually thought that they
were forbidding me to do it I broke down into the tears. They agreed to
allow it and I got the first shot that very day, a month later on our
birthday we went to the hospital staying for a week; blood was drawn
for tests since I had been taking three shots a day for that month Amy
was able to come home with a clean bill of health. I still have to take
the shots; Amy and I have to go back to the doctors once a month until
we would turn sixteen our parents informed us.
