Big Trouble
By Margaret Jeanette
Misty Johnson was troubled. This was the third time she'd found
her closet in a different order than she remembered putting it. Her
red dress was always next to her black dress and now it was between
her aqua and her dark blue dress. She was angry that anyone would
mess with her clothes.
That night she asked her husband, Mike, if he was going into her
closet. She asked why he would be going in there, and said that she
didn't want any crap, that he'd better tell the truth.
He sat quiet for some time as she stared holes in him. Finally,
hesitatingly, he started. "Well, I don't really know how to tell
you this but I have been trying on some of your clothes."
"You have been trying on some of my clothes! Why would you do
that?"
"I just like the way they feel. When I was young I tried on my
sisters' dresses and got to like the feel of them. I am sorry I
never told you but I figured you would never know."
"Why didn't you go out and buy your own dresses?"
"I didn't know where to keep them."
"Are you gay or something?"
"No, it's just something that comes over me. I can't explain it."
"I want you to go out and buy your own dresses. You can keep them
in the spare bedroom closet. Do my clothes fit you?"
"Yes, they fit almost perfectly."
"You had my red dress on last didn't you?"
"Yes, I put it on last night when you were gone to your card
club. I only wore it for about an hour."
"Well, that one you can have. You go get it and put it in the
spare bedroom closet. I will write down my size in everything and
I want you to go buy your own things."
He couldn't believe what she was saying. She wasn't as angry as
he'd thought she would be if she ever found out.
He came back from putting the red dress away and she handed him
a piece of paper with her sizes written on it.
"There is one thing I am going to tell you. I never want to see
you wearing a dress. If I do you ass is grass and I am the mower.
Do you understand that or do I have to beat it into you."
He told her he understood. He remembered the one time she was so
angry at him that she had pulled him over her knee and spanked him
mercilessly. He didn't want that again.
She told him to go get whatever he wanted and to be sure it
stayed in the spare bedroom when she was home.
He went and bought dresses, slips, bras, panties, nylons, three
lacy garter belts and four pair of heels. Then he stopped at a wig
store and bought two wigs, one blond, one brunette.
He got home and put all the things away. He still couldn't
believe Misty had told him to buy his own dresses and things. He
was sure she would throw a fit when she found out about his hobby.
He was sitting watching a television show with Misty and during
a commercial break she asked what he did when he had a dress on. He
told her he just walked around and sometimes was on his computer.
The television ended and she shut the television off. "I have
been thinking about when you are wearing a dress. You should be
doing something worthwhile. So, when I am going to be gone for
awhile I think I will leave you instructions of things to do. You
want to wear a dress you can do some housework. Maybe you'll find
it isn't so great to wear a dress. How does that sound?"
"That don't sound so bad. I am sure I can do it."
"You do understand I want you to do a great job not a crappy job.
I expect the best. But the rule I told you is still in effect. I do
not want to see you in a dress. If I do you are in the biggest
trouble you could ever think of. Do you understand that?"
"Yes, I understand."
The next day he was finishing the last illustration for a book.
He was a top illustrator of children's books. It usually took him
a week to ten days to illustrate a book, then after each book his
publisher left him with two weeks or so before he would receive his
next book to illustrate. Misty couldn't believe how much he was
paid for his work.
Misty stuck her head in and asked him how he was doing. He told
her in about five minutes he was going to E-mail his latest work to
his publisher. She said she was going to play tennis with Dorothy
Watkins and then they were going for lunch. She said she'd left a
list on the dining table of things for him to do.
He got the E-mail sent and shut down his computer, then went to
see what she had written. It said clean the living room and do the
kitchen floor. He was excited and hurried to the spare bedroom.
He changed into a dress and put on a pair of black three inch
heels. He looked at himself in the mirror and liked what he saw. He
got to work on the living room. When he was done in there he looked
it over very closely. He thought it looked great.
He swept the kitchen floor, then mopped it. He liked the way it
shone and was satisfied. Then he thought about the living room. He
remembered seeing a show where the woman ran her finger across the
top of the doorways. He went and ran a dust rag across the tops of
the doorways. Then he figured no one ever really does that.
Just then the phone rang. It was Misty telling him she would be
home in five minutes. He went and quickly changed.
Misty checked the kitchen floor and saw it looked great. Then she
went into the living room. She checked everything and had a smile
on her face. Then she got a smug look and ran her finger across the
top of a doorway. He smiled broadly, having out-foxed her.
"You did an excellent job. I am proud of you!"
He felt a rush of warmth upon hearing her compliment. Life went
on as usual.
One night in bed they were making love when she surprised him,
saying, "I have been thinking. For the most part I make the
decisions around here, so I wear the pants. It's only natural that
you wear dresses. But I do not want to see you wearing a dress."
He wondered why she said that, but he did admit she made most of
the decisions around there. He thought about how things were going.
He got to wear a dress very often and she always called before she
got home. It was a great relationship.
Things went great for over three months. Then he finished a book,
and Misty left him a note -- she was going shopping with two other
women, and he should do the living room and the main bathroom.
He dressed in his black blouse with the white lace trim and the
black tight skirt with his black heels. He was in the kitchen
having a bottle of soda pop when he heard voices coming in the
front door. He couldn't go down the hall to the spare bedroom so he
quickly scurried into the pantry.
He heard Misty ask if they wanted some tea, and heard two
different women's voices say they would love a cup of tea. He heard
Misty put the water on to heat, then he froze when she entered the
pantry to get the tea bags. He tried to hide behind the door but
she saw him. She saw her face glare at him and heard her whisper.
"You are a dead man! You are in big trouble!"
He heard one of the women comment on how nice the place looked,
how she must spend all of her time cleaning. He heard her tell them
she did very little cleaning, that she had a different way to keep
the place clean.
He let out a sigh of relief when one of the women said this tea
was great and asks what kind it was. Misty told her and then the
other woman asked what her way to keep the place clean was.
He heard Misty ask if she wanted to use her secret cleaner. She
asked how long it would take to clean her place top to bottom. The
woman said it would take two days at least. Misty said she could
use her secret cleaner as she wouldn't need it for the next few
days. Then he heard Misty ask the other woman if she was interested
in using her secret cleaner. The other woman said she definitely
was interested.
Misty told the first woman she could take her cleaner home with
her provided she kept it until her place was cleaned to her
satisfaction, then took it over to the other woman's house, and she
could also use it if she would keep it until her house was cleaned
to her satisfaction. Both women were happy to be able to use
Misty's secret cleaner.
They finished their tea and the two women were ready to go. Misty
told the first woman to get the cleaner out of the pantry. The
woman went into the pantry and let out a gasp of surprise. She
stepped back out of the pantry. Misty went into the pantry and came
out with Mike in tow. She said he was her secret cleaner and both
of them had agreed to use him. She said she didn't want him back
until they were satisfied that their houses were clean to their
satisfaction.
She forced the first woman to take his hand. She smiled to
herself as he was led out of the house. She thought, that will
teach him!
In the car the woman said," Hello, I am Dorothy Watkins. I have
never met you but I will bet you are Misty's husband."
"Yes. I am."
"Do you have a name?"
"My name is Mike."
"Mike doesn't fit you. The way you look just doesn't say Mike.
Don't you have a feminine name?"
"No, I never thought about that. I never thought Misty would do
something like this!"
"Misty did tell me her husband had a habit she couldn't tolerate
but I never thought it would be this. You don't have to worry; I
had a younger brother who I know wore some of my clothes from time
to time. Just last year I confronted him about it and he told me he
liked to wear dresses. I helped him become more feminine and I can
help you. If you can present yourself as being more feminine maybe
Misty can accept it. I think she thinks you look like a clown
wearing a dress. Do you want me to help you become more feminine?"
"I don't know what to do about this. We did have a good system
set up, but she didn't call me this time."
"She rode with me and did mention she didn't have her cell phone.
I can help you if you want. I own three beauty salons in town and
I know one of my people can work wonders with you. I can have her
do to you what she did to my brother."
"That sounds good to me, but all I am supposed to do if I heard
right is clean your house."
"Technically I am your employer. Misty said I was not to pay
anything for your services so I can do something else. She didn't
say I couldn't do anything else."
"I guess in that case I don't have a choice, do I?"
"We have to give you a feminine name. I think you look like a
Suzette. How does that sound?"
"That was the name I would have had I been a girl? My mother told
me that at least a half dozen times."
"Good, then it is Suzette. Look here we are. Let's go in and get
started."
She took him in and introduced him to Irene Goode. She told him
Irene was a licensed physician's assistant and worked with a local
doctor for anything medical she did. She told Irene she was to do
the same thing to Suzette that she did to her brother.
Irene took him to a chair near the back of the shop and told him
to remove his blouse. He did so wondering what she was going to do.
She pushed down on his bra cups and gave him a shot in both
breasts. Then she told him to put his bra back on.
Then she gave him six shots in his lips to give him fuller lips.
She said she was giving him kissing lips. He was starting to wonder
about what was happening to him but it seemed out of his control.
She came with a large black pill and a glass of water. He managed
to swallow it and she showed him a container which she said had
five more pills in it. She told him he needed to take one pill in
the morning and one pill at bedtime. She said if he missed a dose
he would know it as it would make him so sick he would want to die.
He asked about what it was and she told him it would make his
body a little more feminine. She said the shots were boosters for
his breast. He started to worry when she said they got young girls
who weren't developing as fast as they thought they should and they
had them take one pill a month for five months. She said after five
months they all were amply endowed and fully developed. She said
the pills were a new super pill that really produced results fast.
Then she started on his eye brows, changing them from bushy to a
thin arched line and cut short. The she explained about how to put
concealer and foundation on. Then it was blush being blended in.
Then she showed him how to do his eyes with eye liner, mascara, and
eye shadow. As he watched in the mirror he was amazed as his face
vanished and a new one emerged.
Then it was lip liner and applying lipstick. She told him this
was the latest thing in lipstick. The longer you used it the less
often you had to redo it. She said each time you applied it some
of the color seeped into your lips.
She removed his wig and told him she could give him a feminine
hair style, albeit a short one. He said he hadn't had anything to
say so far, so it didn't make any difference now. She started on
his perm.
She was finishing up brushing and spraying his hair when Dorothy
returned. All she had left to do was pierce his ears. Dorothy said
he looked like a completely different person, and had Irene pierce
each ear in three places, and gave her studs to put in. Then she
had Irene put a gold necklace on him that read 'Suzette'.
When he looked at the finished product he could not believe it
was him. He looked like a woman without any hint that there was a
man underneath. He couldn't hear Irene talking to Dorothy.
Irene told Dorothy that by tomorrow or the day after he would be
popping his buttons on his blouse. She said the blouse was tight
enough now, but would be a lot tighter very soon. She told Dorothy
he had to take another pill before going to bed and more twice a
day until gone.
He continued to sit in the chair until Dorothy said it was time
to leave. He almost forgot his pills. She also handed him a plastic
bag with the cosmetics she had used on him. He was carrying them in
his hand when Dorothy asked him if he had a purse. He said he never
thought he would be going anywhere dressed like this so he never
got one.
Five blocks later Dorothy pulled in at a strip mall and led him
into a woman's accessory store. There she bought him a purse with
a matching wallet. She saw a cute pink cosmetics case and got that
for him also.
In the car she told him to put his cosmetics and pills in his
purse. He thanked her for everything, not knowing if it was good or
not.
She then took him to her house. She showed him where he would
sleep and said it was too late to start today so he could start
cleaning tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile Misty was wondering if she had done the right thing.
The house seemed so empty without him there. She was getting over
her anger and felt bad about sending him with Dorothy, and knew it
would be at least four days before he was back. She knew Dorothy's
husband was out of town for the week so he wouldn't have to face
him.
Misty was eating supper and it really sank in that she was alone.
They usually had a conversation, with him telling what he had done
that day and her telling what she had done. She thought, maybe it
wasn't so bad that he wore dresses occasionally. She still pictured
him as a clown in a dress, however.
Dorothy and Suzette were enjoying a tasty evening meal and
afterward a lively conversation, in which he explained his and
Misty's deal allowing him to wear dresses when she couldn't see. He
never was told what would happen if she did see him in a dress. He
said she had always called before, but she hadn't this time."
Dorothy told him she felt sorry for him, but that he would have
to look at the bright side. They finished eating and she sent him
to the bathroom to redo his lipstick. When he looked in the mirror
he thought his lipstick looked fine but applied another coat
anyway. When he applied it, he noticed it now looked like wet red
paint.
Dorothy showed him where all the cleaning supplies were kept and
told him if he wanted something else all he had to do is tell her
and she would see to it that she got it. He wished he was at home,
feeling like a virtual prisoner here. Even if he had wanted to walk
home, he couldn't -- he couldn't remember the route she had taken.
At bedtime he found a satin nightgown lying on the bed. He put
it on and wondered why he never got any satin clothes because it
felt wonderful when he had it on. Then he remembered had to take
his evening pill. He wondered if he quit taking them what would
happen. He decided to skip it. Fifteen minutes later he started
feeling nauseous. Twenty minutes later he was experiencing severe
stomach pains. He went and took a pill. Five minutes later he felt
a lot better.
The next morning he felt different feelings in his body, and
noticed that his breasts felt different. His bra felt tighter. He
thought it was just something he hadn't noticed before. He got
dressed and went to the dining area. Dorothy was up, and she got
him some toast and coffee for breakfast. He told her he was going
to start in her living room.
She thought his blouse did indeed look tighter and his rear was
definitely rounder and stuck out further. She smiled when she saw
him take his morning pill.
After breakfast he started the living room. It took him until
mid-afternoon to get it done. Then he attacked the kitchen counters
and cabinets. By the time he had finished with that it was
suppertime. Dorothy told him what he had done so far looked just
marvelous. He felt a sense of pride but he missed Misty's company
a lot. Dorothy told him he should rest after supper, but he said he
wanted to get the kitchen floor done yet tonight.
He finished the floor and felt tired. His legs hurt a little but
were not too bad. He had never worn a dress this long before. When
he told Dorothy that all that had to be done in the kitchen was to
clean the appliances, she told him she knew there were a couple of
spills in her refrigerator, that she knew she should have wiped
them up as soon as they happened, but didn't.
As he was talking to her one of his blouse buttons popped.
Dorothy told him she was going to take him shopping for a new dress
tomorrow. She asked him if he wanted to get a regular dress or a
maid's uniform. He had looked at maid's uniforms on the Internet
but said a regular dress.
The next morning before he started cleaning she had him in her
Lexus and soon at a dress store. There she picked out two very
feminine dresses for him. Then she took him where the aprons were
sold and picked out a fancy pinafore style apron. She asked him if
he wanted a mob cap but he declined.
She took the tags off one dress and handed it to him, telling him
to go into the changing booth and change into it. When he came out
she told him he needed to redo his lipstick. When he looked in the
mirror he thought his lipstick looked fine but applied a coat
anyway.
Back at her place he got busy doing the appliances. Two hours
later he was done in the kitchen and started her bedroom. He
polished all of the furniture and cabinets in there, made up the
bed, and did the floor. It didn't take long, and by this time it
was lunch time.
He was enjoying soup and a sandwich when Dorothy told him the
kitchen looked spectacular. She said she couldn't remember when her
house had looked this good before. She told him he had a definite
talent for cleaning and that he was cleaning faster than she
thought.
By suppertime he had finished the other three bedrooms and only
had the bathrooms left to do. At supper when he told Dorothy he
only had the bathrooms left, then she could take him home, she told
him he was going to clean Holly Dunkins house next. She said she
was supposed to take him there next.
After supper Dorothy asked him how he was feeling and if he could
feel any of the changes yet. He said his bra felt tighter and he
did experience some different feelings in different parts of his
body but it was not painful.
She had him come with her to her bedroom and take off his dress
and get stripped down to his bra. She handed him one of her satin
bras to try on. It fit, and his breasts were definitely not crowded
in the cups. She said it was a great fit as it would allow his
breasts to grow.
He didn't want them to grow any bigger, as he thought they were
too big already. He wished this growth would end. Dorothy told him
to leave the bra on tonight and to go change into his nightgown and
then join her for a snack.
He did as she said, and when he walked in to her she could see
how his breasts definitely stuck out quite a bit. She thought about
how Misty was going to take this. She knew Misty had said she was
the one who wore the pants in their relationship so she should be
happy with the changes that were taking place.
The next day it took him until early afternoon to finish the
bathrooms. Dorothy was extremely happy with how the whole place
looked. She spewed compliments to him and said she would never have
been able to make the place look that good.
She had him pack up his things, and when she asked he said he had
one pill to take yet. She told him to take it now, that it wouldn't
hurt. He took it and wondered why she was so insistent about
everything.
She surprised him by putting a pair of dangly earrings in his
ears. He loved the way they swung against his neck when he turned
his head. Then he thought about how all of this is wrong. He was
torn between two opposites.
He grabbed his bags and put them in the trunk of her car. As she
drove she said, "I am taking you to Holly Dunston's. Her husband
died in a plane crash and left her with millions to spend, but she
is as tight as can be. She does like her clothes and loves to go
shopping. She gets periods where she will spend like mad, then gets
tighter than a drum.
They pulled into Holly's driveway and he saw she lived in a very
large house. Dorothy led him up the walk and rang the bell. Holly
answered right away.
Holly said, "He sure looks different. What happened?"
Dorothy said, "Misty said he wasn't to get paid, so I gave him
something else. He does look more feminine now, don't you think?"
"He definitely does, but what did you do to him?"
"I had one of my best salon workers do her thing on him. You know
make up can cover a multitude of sins. We did have to get him some
larger dresses so he will probably be all right for a couple of
days but he might grow some more, and then his present clothes
might not fit him properly. You'll have to play it by ear. Wait
until you see my house. It looks like a showplace now. He is a
wonder at cleaning and everything. If I wasn't married I would be
after him in a flash. I can't understand Misty being so angry with
him. I always thought she was more open minded. I want to go with
you when you take him back to Misty. I just have to see her face
when she sees him. She will shit, if you pardon my French."
"I don't intend on having him do anything but clean. I feel Misty
misled us into believing she had a cleaning machine that was new
and different. I didn't expect it to be her husband."
"He does a fantastic job so let him do his thing. Just sit back
and relax and enjoy it. He did move three pieces of my furniture
but I like the way the room looks now better than before. Now,
remember his chest is still growing so you may have to buy him a
larger dress."
Dorothy left, and Holly showed him where all the cleaning
supplies were kept. He went to work immediately, starting in the
kitchen. By suppertime he had the counters and cabinets shining
and looking like new. He ate a light meal at the counter and after
supper he did the floor. Holly was impressed at how nice he made
things look.
She showed him where to sleep and he was asleep in record time.
He woke up early and lay there wondering how Misty was doing. He
missed her terribly. He knew she was angry, but he thought she
would have to get over it.
In his room was a phone so he called Misty. She answered and he
told her he missed her so much. She said she missed him but she was
still angry at him. She asked if he was doing a good job of
cleaning and he said he was. He told her he loved her and she said
she still loved him even if he couldn't control his dress wearing.
She then told him to watch Holly as she could get a case of the
hots for him. She hung up and he wondered if she was jealous that
he was in a house with Holly and not her.
The next morning he was cleaning the inside of her refrigerator
when she came and called him Suzette and told him she was going out
for a little while. He didn't mind at all. He felt he was free to
do as he pleased as he cleaned. He finished everything in the
kitchen and started the living room. He moved some of the
furniture and was cleaning everything in sight.
He was so busy he didn't see Holly standing in the door watching
him. She couldn't believe how much he was accomplishing in such a
short time. She looked at the room lay-out and liked what she saw.
She invited him to join her for lunch. She asked him why he had
been wearing a dress when they got to his and Misty's house. He
explained it to her and she understood. She said Misty was more
closed minded than she'd thought. He told her he knew Misty had to
have time to figure out what to do about seeing him in a dress,
that was all. He said that was why he didn't mind doing the
cleaning at Dorothy's and her house.
Holly asked him about his job as an illustrator and he explained
how he got the stories from his publisher and then developed
drawings for the story. He told her he had been good at drawing as
a child, and it just developed from there. When he told her he'd
won a contest for drawing in Virginia, and that was what led to his
job with this publisher, she was impressed.
When Holly said she would talk to Misty in support of him, he
thanked her but said Misty had a mind of her own, and he knew she
would listen but she would have to make up her own mind on her own
terms. He had confidence that she would come around, but he didn't
know what conditions she would put on him.
Then Holly said something that really threw him. She said, "You
know, if you weren't married I could go for you. I don't mind you
in a dress and you seem to me to be a great catch. Misty doesn't
realize what she has."
He thanked her, and seeing that he was done eating he got back to
work in the living room. It didn't take long to finish it, and
then he was in her bedroom really going to town.
Holly came in and laid on the bed. He asked her if she wanted to
take a nap and she said she was just going to watch him work. She
was lying with one knee raised and it looked to him like it was an
open invitation to join her on the bed. He kept cleaning.
She told him his lipstick needed freshening and he went into the
bathroom and redid it. When he returned she said she'd never kissed
a man wearing lipstick before. He got busier. Finally she came
right out and asked him if he would kiss her. He went over to her
and planted a kiss on her lips. She said that was great and that
she had never tasted lipstick like that before. He matter-of-factly
told her that she would have to go to see Irene at Dorothy's salon
to get some.
He finished up fast and was ready for the next room. Holly took
him to the library/study and told him this was the last room he was
going to clean. He asked if he could move the desk to a better
location in the room. She told him to do what he thought best. He
was wiping down all of the shelves when she left the room.
Holly drove over to Misty's house and they were talking. Holly
said, "He is on the last room I want cleaned. He is doing a superb
job. My house has not looked that good in ages. I figure on
bringing him back here tomorrow morning. If you are not ready for
him yet I can keep him by me. He really is a very nice person."
"You are falling for him aren't you? He has that effect on
people. He doesn't go out when he's here, hardly at all. I have to
practically take him out at gunpoint to get him even to go out to
eat. Doesn't it bother you that he is a man in a dress?"
"No, it doesn't. At first I thought he was some kind of weirdo
but now that I am getting to know him, he is actually a very
exceptional person. I know you have a problem with him in a dress
but did you fall in love with him or his clothes? He told how he
got started wearing dresses and I can see where he's coming from.
You should sit down with him and listen closely to his story."
"You've made some good points and I will take them into
consideration but I can't promise anything."
"If you want him to leave, call me. He can stay at my house if he
wants. I have a computer that doesn't get used that he can use and
I know he could be comfortable there, given a chance."
"That proves it; you have fallen for him, haven't you?"
"No, I haven't, but I am right next door to falling for him. I
don't know why but he is growing on me. That is why I told him the
room he is working on now was the last room he will be doing. I
don't want anything to come between us and our friendship."
"I am glad to hear you say that. I really value your friendship
and wouldn't want to see it end. I will tell you, I don't really
know what will happen when he gets home. I sure miss him but at the
same time I don't know if I am ready to see him come home either."
"I'll tell you what. Tomorrow morning I will call you to see if
you are ready for him to come home. I will tell you this -- he
looks a lot different than when he left. Dorothy had some big
changes made in him that you have not seen."
"I guess I will have to be prepared for anything. I thank you for
all of your comments. Like I said I'm not sure I'm ready to accept
his wearing a dress but I will try to see it his way. I am not
promising anything."
Holly left and returned home. She knew Misty had a lot to decide
on and she was glad she wasn't in her shoes.
When Holly walked in he was sitting at the table having a cup of
tea. He offered to make her one and she accepted. She gave him a
thumbnail of her visit with Misty, telling him Misty wasn't sure if
she wanted him back right now. She said he was welcome to stay
there until Misty was ready.
Then she told him she was going to take him shopping. He asked
her to first check out the library. When she saw it she was amazed.
She said before she was intimidated to use it but now something was
telling her to use it.
She had him get his purse and come with her. She took him to
Formal Lady Dress shop. There she had him try on several evening
gowns. The second one was a red backless velvet number with a
built-in bra. It was the slinkiest dress he had ever seen, with a
side slit in he skirt. He thought it had a completely different
feel from any other dress he had ever worn. Holly saw his wide
smile when he came out to see what it looked like in the three view
mirrors. When he turned to see what the back looked like she knew
he was going to get that one. She told him to leave that one on and
follow her. They went to the shoe area and soon he was wearing a
pair of matching red shoes that had a matching flower at the toe.
Then she picked a pair of red nylons to go with the outfit.
He was surprised when she took him over to the jewelry section of
the store and picked out a jeweled tiara to wear in his hair. When
he got a chance to look at himself in the mirror he thought he
looked wonderful.
She also got him a matching necklace, earrings and bracelet. He
said she shouldn't be spending so much money on him, but she said
she wasn't going to be outdone by Dorothy.
He knew there was competition between the women when it came to
shopping but he'd never thought they would spend like this.
Holly said his watch didn't go with the rest of his outfit, and
soon he was sporting a jeweled watch that he thought was too
expensive.
Finally he got back into the dress he had worn there and they
left the store. He told her she had spent too much on him, but she
said it was only money.
Back at Holly's house he showed her how to use the computer. She
picked it up faster than she thought she would. She was thinking he
was an excellent teacher. In her mind she hoped Misty would reject
him wearing a dress.
When he showed her how to access a search engine to find
fashionable dresses, she was amazed at how many sites there were.
He clicked on a dress as if to buy it and showed her how, and
explained the difference between a secure and non-secure site. He
explained that he had bought things off the Internet but was
careful where he shopped. He exited the Internet and shut down the
computer. Then he had her try it. She made it and got on the
Internet. She successfully used a search engine and soon was
looking closely at cosmetics, and was continuing to be amazed at
how many choices she was getting. He showed her how to narrow down
a search and for the first time she understood how to get around
the Internet.
She finally shut the computer off and went to make supper. She
came right back and told him they were going out to eat. He didn't
argue even though he would rather have stayed there to eat.
Twenty minutes later they were being seated at a supper club.
They were looking at menus when Dorothy suddenly appeared. She
joined them and after they ordered Holly told her about her visit
with Misty. Dorothy told her she had visited Misty also. She also
surprised him when she said she had talked to her husband about the
situation. If Misty didn't take him back, how about him staying
with them. She said that her husband thought it would be all right
if he stayed there. Now, he knew he would have a decision to make
should Misty not want him back. He knew that would be an extremely
hard decision to make.
Dorothy said she had told Misty he looked completely different
now that she had taken him to her flagship salon. She said she
thought Misty wouldn't recognize him when she saw him. She laughed
when she said that Misty asked if she was going to have to get to
know him all over again.
Dorothy said Misty specifically said he was not to be paid for
his services but she did not say he couldn't be given presents.
Holly told her she was way ahead of her, that she had already
gotten him some presents. Then Dorothy noticed the watch on his
wrist, definitely not a cheap one. She figured Holly must have had
one of her spend moods, and laughed at the thought of what she
could possibly have gotten for him.
Holly told her about learning the computer, how now she felt
comfortable on it. Dorothy asked her for her E-mail address and
Holly wrote it down. Dorothy said she would send a test E-mail when
she got home.
They finished eating and decided on nine o'clock tomorrow morning
to take him back. He wondered if Misty would allow him in the house
wearing a dress. He thought more and more about it. It bothered
him, and he tried to think what to say to her to get her to accept
him back.
Back at Holly's he said he would like to take a bath. She said
she was going to go on the computer but first she would run him a
bath. When he got into the bathroom all he could smell was flowers.
Holly had added bath salts to the water.
He got in the tub and sat down. The water felt almost oily and
felt really great. He luxuriated in the tub. He thought this is
really living. He washed his whole body, and when the water was
cooling he got out and saw a shaker of body powder on the counter.
He dried himself and sprinkled body powder all over his body. It
was floral scented and he thought he smelled great.
Then he thought about the fact that he hadn't shaved since this
began, but when he looked in the mirror it looked like he had less
beard that he could ever remember. He wondered about that.
In the closet he saw a new nightgown and wrap set hanging there.
Holly must have put it there. He put it on and it felt light and
airy to him. He saw a pair of feathered mules with a two inch heel
on the floor and was surprised when they fit perfectly.
He went to the library and when Holly looked at him she said she
was glad he'd found his surprise. He thanked her for it and told
her she didn't have to do that. She said that was just for being
such a great person and for being so much help to her.
She shut down the computer and invited him to have a glass of hot
chocolate with her. They sat at the dining room table to enjoy it.
She asked how he liked wearing dresses for so long a period.
"It has been fun actually for the most part. But there are times
I wished I was back in my men's clothes. I have really enjoyed it
but I often wonder how Misty is going to take it when I get home.
I wish I had some men's clothes to wear home."
"She knows you don't have any men's clothes to wear home so I
think she's expecting you in a dress. If I were you I would wear my
best dress and show her how nice you can look. I think that might
sway her more than anything else. I can help you get dressed in the
morning if you like."
"I think I will play it by ear. I am still worried that she won't
take me back. She was pretty well set on the idea of not seeing me
in a dress."
"Quit worrying about that! You have no control over it so it
won't help with you getting upset over it."
He thought about that and had to agree with her. But as he got
into bed he still had a sense of dread over tomorrow.
The next morning he couldn't decide what dress to wear. He looked
at each one and wondered which would be least offensive to Misty.
He finally went for breakfast wearing his nightgown and robe.
Over jelly toast and coffee he asked Holly which dress she
thought he should wear. She thought for a moment and then said, "I
think you want to look as good as possible, don't you?"
"Yes, I guess I do. I just can't decide. Every time I think one
is right I see another one and wonder if I should wear that one.
How do I choose which one to wear?"
"Welcome to womanhood! That has been the question since the dawn
of time I think. I believe you should wear your fanciest one. I
believe that is the evening gown. Put it on and do yourself up like
you are going for a night on the town. I want Misty to see you in
your best outfit. I would imagine that is the new gown we just
got for you. I can help you get dressed if you like."
"I think I am going to need all the help I can get."
"We have less than an hour for you to get ready so let's get
movin'"
She accompanied him into his bedroom and soon had him settled
enough so she could help him get dressed. She told him it was an
evening gown but today it was a special occasion gown. She told him
he was like a bride on her wedding day. He didn't know about that
but knew he was so nervous he thought he was going to be sick to
his stomach.
When Dorothy arrived she took one look at him and saw he hadn't
done his make-up yet or anything. He was carrying his bags of
clothes and she saw the tiara. She told him they would stop at the
beauty shop for an emergency fix for his make-up. Holly thought
that was a great idea, because he was so nervous he was shaking.
Dorothy laughed and told him to settle down, that the world wasn't
going to end today.
They stopped at the beauty shop and the girl did his make-up and
pinned the tiara in his hair. When she was done both women told him
he looked adorable.
He was sitting in the back seat of Holly's car, and he was so
nervous he didn't notice when they parked in his driveway. Dorothy
turned around in the seat and told him to wait in the car while
they went to see what kind of mood Misty was in.
He watched as they went to the door and then entered the house.
He wondered how long before they would call him in.
Dorothy and Holly entered and quick greetings were exchanged.
Misty asked where Mike was. Dorothy told her they call him Suzette
now. She said he looked a lot different since he left. Holly said
he was so nervous this morning she had to help him dress. Then they
both told her they hoped she could accept him.
Dorothy said, "I took the liberty to have some changes made in
Suzette. He didn't have any say in it but he accepted it
beautifully. You will see that the changes make him appear more
feminine. If you are going to be angry about it be angry with me,
not him."
Holly added, "I got him the outfit he has on. Everything from the
top of his head to the tip of his toes I picked out. He didn't say
he wanted it but he didn't fight it either. He is very submissive
when he is wearing a dress."
"He was submissive before and I imagine he is more so in a
dress," said Misty. "Now where is he? I want to see him!"
"You want to see Suzette, you mean!" said Dorothy.
"I want to see whoever, now get him so I can see him!"
Holly went to the door and opened it and motioned for him to come
in. He walked so slowly Holly thought he was in slow motion.
Finally he stepped inside. Everyone heard Misty gasp really loud.
It was quiet for over three minutes. Then Misty said, "Mike is
that really you?"
"Yes, it's me. I'm back."
Misty went up to him and felt his arm, then his breast. "It feels
so real. It's amazing how real it feels."
Dorothy said, "That's because it is real. His breast is his."
"How can that be?"
"Irene, who works for me, has access to the latest drugs and
treatments. I will explain it to you later."
"He looks so different, wearing make-up. Is that your latest
also?"
"The lipstick is. Right now I would say his lips will be red like
that for at least six months."
He was shocked to hear that. He figured Misty would say he wasn't
welcome there. He saw the look on her face. So did Dorothy and
Holly.
Dorothy said they should go into the kitchen and get a cup of
coffee or tea. She told Suzette to sit down and wait a few minutes.
He sat down in an easy chair.
Misty made tea and the three women sat down to talk. Dorothy took
the lead saying, "Misty I have known you for a long time. I have
never told you but I have a brother who cross dresses. He is
married and his wife knows about it. She says he cleans better than
she does and he understands when she complains about having to wear
some of her clothes. She says she can talk to him as a husband and
as a girlfriend both. You have to look at what can be gained in a
case like this. I know he is worrying that you are going to kick
him out because of this. I can tell you I know he loves you very
much."
Holly said, "If you say he can't stay here, both Dorothy and I
have told him he can stay with one of us. Now, I am going to tell
you something --- when Dorothy first dropped him off I thought he
was weird, but then I watched him, and then we talked, and I found
he has the same feelings we do. He likes things to look perfect, a
lot more so than I do. I'll tell you this too. I did try to seduce
him but he never reacted. He is devoted to you and you seem to care
more about what he wears than how he feels. You are looking at
physical things not emotional things. He is a great person and I
know he is worried sick that you are going to reject him."
Misty got up and walked out of the room. Both women were worried
she was going to tell him to leave the house. She went into the
living room and said, "Why don't you come out and join us in a cup
of tea. I picked up some sweet cream just for you, as I know you
like that in your tea."
He immediately got up, and when he was next to her she grabbed
his arm and spun him toward her. She planted a kiss on his lips and
told him it was different, kissing a man with lipstick on. Then she
asked him what size bust he had. He said he didn't know, and she
laughed.
In the kitchen the women both smiled when both of them came in.
Misty asked what size bust he had, and Dorothy told her the bra
size she had gotten him. He said it was tight now, and Misty
commented that he had a bigger bust than she did, and laughed.
She handed him a cup of tea with his sweet cream in it. She put
her arm around his shoulder and said she thought she would keep
him. She asked if he was going to be that way forever.
Dorothy said, "His breasts will stay that way for at least six to
eight months, then probably shrink some. His lipstick will stay
that way at least for six months if he quits using it. If he keeps
using it then they will stay shiny longer. Look at it this way; he
has about three perms to go yet right now. I'll see to it he gets
a preferred customer card for my salons." She was laughing, and it
caused everyone else including Suzette to laugh.
Misty asked him if he had any other clothes, and he said he'd
left them in the car. She told him to bring them in, that she
wanted to see them. He went and got them, and came back while
Dorothy and Holly were saying their good-bys to Misty. They each
hugged her and gave her a kiss on her cheek. Holly got to him first
and gave him a hug, then surprised everyone by giving him a kiss on
his lips. Dorothy, not to be outdone, hugged him and then bent him
backwards and kissed him on his lips. Everyone laughed hard at
that. Dorothy told him she expected him to go shopping with them
when they went as a group. He said he would think about it.
The two women left, and Misty and her husband were at last alone.
He wanted to tell her how nervous he was, but wondered if he
should. Finally coming out with, "I was so afraid you wouldn't let
me back into the house. Holly helped me dress this morning, as I
don't think I could have done it by myself."
"Well, Suzette, I did seriously think about not letting you back
in, but both Holly and Dorothy came over and talked to me. I still
didn't know what I would do and I will tell you I did agonize over
it."
"I appreciate that you are taking it the way you are. Are you
going to call me Suzette, too? I thought just Dorothy and Holly did
that to make me feel more feminine."
"Do you think you look more like a Mike or a Suzette? Dorothy
told me she picked the name, and you told her that if you had been
born a girl your name would be Suzette. I do believe as long as you
are wearing a dress you should be called Suzette."
"I guess you're right. I don't care what you call me as long as
we are together."
"You do have something to think about. Dorothy told me that if I
went to see Irene I could get black pills and extend your stay for
as long as I liked. She said each pill would now probably extend it
a couple of months. I may get real used to you being like you are
now, and take advantage of that. How would you like three perms to
be ten perms?"
"You aren't serious, are you? You didn't want to see me in a
dress remember? I figured you would want me out of a dress as soon
as possible."
"That is the way I feel right now but I may change. You know
women have the right to change their minds."
"Don't I know that? That is what I was counting on with you when
we were on our way over here."
"Well, let me see what you have for clothes. I imagine they are
fancier than anything I own."
He told her they all had to be washed, as he showed her what he
had. She was surprised they weren't all real feminine, but they
were all dresses. After he had shown her all of them she said it
looked like he would need more. She asked him about bras and
panties and he said he had two bras that he thought should fit yet,
and three panties, but they were getting tighter on him. Misty
checked the sizes and said that he looked bigger than they were. He
said his bra felt tighter but that he didn't say anything to Holly
about it because he wasn't comfortable talking to her. He said he
always felt like she was leading toward going to bed with him.
Misty laughed, and said she probably was. Misty said she felt
sorry for Holly because Holly needed a man but wouldn't date anyone
who could fill the void for her.
Misty then told him they had to go shopping for some properly
fitting clothes for him. She suggested he at least take the tiara
off to go shopping, at least. He removed it and wondered at all the
pins that were holding it in place.
They were on their way when Misty said, "You know this was the
first time we have been away from each other since we were
married."
"I never thought about that but you are right. I did miss you so
very much though."
"I could tell that when you called. I think I felt sorry for you
for the first time in my life then. Then yesterday morning when I
got up I really missed you badly. That was when I really decided to
take you back. I made a couple of phone calls and went to do some
shopping for you."
"What did you get?"
"Wait until you see the spare bedroom I got all set up for you."
"I guess that means we aren't going to be sleeping together
then."
"Well two grown women don't normally sleep together unless there
is only one bedroom. I figured you needed your own room and a
decent place to keep your clothes and everything. I had to pay
extra for express service but I think it was worth it."
She took him to a store he had never been to before. On the way
in she said, "As long as I am the one who has to look at you in a
dress I think I should be the one to pick them. Is that all right
with you?"
He agreed, and wondered about the dramatic change in her. Inside,
she looked at many dresses and finally talked to a clerk, who led
them towards the back wall of the store. There, the clerk said,
should be exactly what they were looking for.
Misty looked at three dresses before picking one. He saw it had
a lot of lace but not much. Then she picked three more real quick.
Then she moved down the rack and picked two black ones. He watched
as she picked two more a little further down the line. He asked why
they were getting so many and she said these were just for him to
try on.
She led him over to where the bras were and then to his surprise
asked the woman to measure him so they would be able to get the
proper fitting ones. The woman measured him and said he would
need a 46D. Misty turned to him and said it was no wonder his bra
was so tight that Dorothy said she got him 42D's.
She picked out eight bras for him. Most of them had under wire
support and all of them had lace cups and were in different colors.
Then she picked panties to match each bra. The panties were boy
style with lots of lace, bows and ribbons. She then found four
slips in his size. Two were silk and two were nylon. Then it was
three garter belts, one pink, one black and one bright red. Then it
was nylons, all patterned and sheer.
She led him to the changing area and had the clerk remove the
tags from one of the bras so he'd be wearing one that fit properly
when he tried on the dresses. He then started to try on the
dresses. It took forever for him to try on all of them. Misty had
the clerk hang one of them on the side rack. He wondered why they
were only taking one, but didn't say anything.
When he had the last dress on Misty told the clerk to take the
tags off of it, that he would be wearing it. He was surprised at
that. He was more surprised when she told her to take the tags off
all of them. The clerk said the tags would be at the register when
they checked out.
Misty led him over to the shoe area, where they got three plain
pumps, two T-strap pumps and three pairs of sandals for him. He
asked if he really needed that many pair of shoes, and she said a
woman never has enough shoes.
He was shocked when they checked out to find that it was just
over twelve hundred dollars. Then the check-out lady deducted
fifteen per cent as a good customer instant rebate, but he was
still surprised at the total. Misty had to carry three of the bags,
as his arms were full.
She asked him how he liked shopping, and he said it made him
hungry. She stopped at a restaurant, and he said he thought they
were pushing it when they were in the store. He said he was afraid
everyone would see him as a man in a dress. She told him not to be
so silly, that he looked just fine. He went with her.
The hostess seated them, saying she hoped the ladies would enjoy
themselves. They ordered, and when their food was served Misty
asked if a uniform could be bought. The server said they could.
He looked at the uniform and saw it was like a French maid's
uniform, with a skirt that stuck straight out. He asked why she had
asked if a uniform could be bought.
"You still have to be punished for letting me seeing you in a
dress. I may just buy you one to wear to serve me when I get the
urge to be served in style."
"I don't think I need a uniform to serve you in style."
"Don't you think they are so very feminine though? You like
feminine clothes don't you?"
"Yes, but not that style. I am not into French maids."
"Then it will be the perfect punishment if I get you one to wear,
won't it?"
"Do what you are going to do. I know there is no sense arguing
with you."
He wasn't surprised when she asked the waitress how much a
uniform cost. The waitress gave her the price for just the uniform
and then the uniform with the apron, petticoat and little cap. She
told the waitress she would think about it.
When the waitress came to refill their water glasses she said she
noticed one had a pink uniform on and the waitress explained the
pink ones were for waitresses who had seniority. Misty asked if
they carried both colors and the waitress said they did.
They finished eating and Misty was paying the bill. He started
out for the car, and was surprised to see her come out carrying an
armful of garment bags, plus two larger plastic bags.
In the car she told him that at the cash register the attendant
told her that they sold probably two or three uniforms a month. She
told him that she didn't know if she would ever make him wear one,
but it was good to be prepared in case she did want some pampering.
On the way home she stopped at a women's accessory store and
picked out two purses plus some costume jewelry for him. Then at
another store where she bought him several fancy nightgowns plus a
woman's silk robe.
He couldn't believe the change in her. He wondered why she was
all of a sudden accepting seeing him in a dress. She seemed to
want him as feminine as possible, but why?
Finally, "I have a question I am wondering about. What caused you
to change your mind about seeing me in a dress?"
"It's hard to say, but both Dorothy and Holly came to see me when
you were gone. Both at different times, and they didn't consult one
another. There were things they said, and things I thought about
that were never said, that I think I changed my mind. Yesterday
morning was the clincher. When I got up I missed you, oh so much.
I wanted to see you no matter what you were wearing. I realized
you were the one I loved and your cross-dressing was a part of you
that makes you who you are. You are more emotional and loving than
a lot of men I know. You care for me and give me whatever I desire.
I couldn't reject you, the real you. So I decided to accept the
fact you enjoy wearing dresses."
"Thank you! I do really love you. You are the main thing in my
life. I missed you also very, very much. I could close my eyes and
see you then wonder what you were doing right then. I saw you
drinking a cup of tea and getting dressed. I saw all sorts of
images of you."
"I did drink a lot of tea while you were gone." She laughed and
he laughed with her.
They had arrived home and he took the first armful of packages to
the spare bedroom. He laid them on the bed and looked around. She
had really had some major changes made to this room.
The bed had a white painted wooden headboard and foot board with
three red roses painted on them. There was a wooden six drawer
white vanity with roses on each drawer. There was a red bedspread
with lace trim all around the edge. The curtains were white with
lace trim. There was a lighted make-up mirror on the vanity. The
padded vanity bench had a rose on it. There were two chairs in the
room and each had a doll sitting in it. There was a rose border up
near the ceiling. He couldn't believe she had gotten all of this
done for him.
He put away the stuff and before going to get the rest of the
packages he stopped to tell her thank you for the beautiful room.
She got the broadest smile he had ever seen on her face and told
him she thought he deserved it.
He managed to get the rest on the second trip and was humming to
himself as he put it all away. He couldn't wait to wear some of the
dresses. When he got it all put away he decided to check his
E-mails to see if he had gotten any from his publisher.
He stepped into his office and immediately noticed he now had
white lace curtains. In each of the three chairs was sitting a
doll. As he was going to sit down he saw a lace edged cushion that
had red roses embroidered on it. He smelled the air and it smelled
like flowers, the same scent as in his new bedroom. He thought
Misty didn't miss anything.
He booted up his computer and found he had thirty-three E-mails,
and deleted most of them as they were advertising. He had one from
his publisher, a pre-notice that he could expect two stories in the
next few days. He checked the date on it -- today's date. He shut
down the computer and went to Misty.
"You were really one busy woman weren't you? What with the
bedroom and my office you must have really hustled."
"It was all pretty simple. I went to the furniture store and
bought the furniture with the proviso that they would put it
together, then went to the Country Sampler store where I found all
the rest. So it was pretty quickly done. The furniture store wanted
twenty-five dollars for delivery and set-up but I told them I would
look elsewhere and they decided to do it for ten dollars."
"You are so shrewd when it comes to shopping. You always get a
discount or something. I am proud of you!"
"Now, as long as you are the one wearing the dresses around here
I shouldn't have to leave you any notes. You can do all of the
housework and the laundry. I will still do the cooking but not much
else. How does that sound?"
"It shouldn't be a problem, but you know when I am working on
illustrating a story I don't have a lot of time for anything else."
"I know and you can still do that, but between those I expect you
to keep this house clean."
She was in one of her definite sounding moods so he agreed,
thinking it wouldn't be so bad. He decided to give the kitchen a
once over right now.
The next morning he received two stories to illustrate. He
started the first one. He got the first illustration with ease, but
the second one had a mother and boy looking into a bird nest. He
couldn't seem to get the woman's facial expression just the way he
wanted it. He got her to look happy but not the way he thought she
should look. He wanted a happy surprised look, and it just wasn't
coming.
At noon he told Misty about his frustration at not being able to
picture just the right expression on the woman's face. She said he
should take the afternoon off and maybe if he got out of thinking
about it he would get the inspiration to get it just right. He
agreed that might be the way to go.
In the past he'd walked down to the park in the next block and
sat on a bench there, and there always seemed to find inspiration
for an illustration. He was surprised when Misty told him after
lunch he should put on one of the uniforms she had gotten at the
restaurant. He had hoped she had forgotten about them. She told him
the dining area needed a good cleaning.
After he finished eating he went to put on the uniform. It wasn't
his style, he thought. He got it on with the petticoat sticking
straight out holding the skirt up. He put the apron on and thought
it wasn't much protection, then put the lacy cap with the two
trailing ribbons on. He looked in the mirror and thought it didn't
look too bad but it still wasn't his style. He wasn't into
miniskirts at all.
He was cleaning in the dining area when he heard the doorbell
ring and heard Misty call to him to open it. When he opened it he
was surprised to see Dorothy and Holly standing there. There was a
third woman who Dorothy introduced as Susan Lemay. She introduced
him as Suzette.
The three women came in and Misty told Suzette to set up the card
table for a game of bridge. He got the table, some paper, and a
deck of cards. She then told him to make a pot of tea and a pot of
coffee.
He was making the drinks and he could hear the women chatting but
couldn't make out what was being said. When it was close to being
done, he went and asked how many teas and how many coffees.
He found out what he wanted to know, but then was shocked to hear
Misty say, "You are supposed to be a maid. A maid curtsies and
acknowledges who she is speaking to."
He did a half curtsy and heard, "You can do better than that!" He
did a proper curtsy and saw both Dorothy and Holly smiling. Susan
had a look of surprise combined with happiness. It was just the
look he'd been looking for.
He served the drinks and said to Misty he now had exactly what he
was looking for. He was so happy that now he could finish the
picture.
His thoughts of getting the picture done immediately were
shattered when Misty said, "Dorothy just talked to her beauty shop.
It seems they got some new false fingernails in and she told them
you would be right over to get some put on. Go now, they are
waiting."
He couldn't believe she expected him to go right this instant but
her tone of voice told him he'd better go. He left.
He arrived at the beauty parlor and the first to see him was
Irene. She told him he looked so sweet and sexy in his uniform. He
told her he'd been told to come right away. She said Carrie was
waiting for him and took him and introduced him to Carrie.
Carrie had him sit at a small table and started a manicure. She
asked him if he'd ever had false nails before and he said he
hadn't. He wondered what she was talking about when she said the
new nails were a fetish nail. She finished the prep work, then
started to apply the longest nails he had ever seen. He asked if
she was sure they were the right ones and she assured him they
were. She got them all glued on, then started painting them. He
asked if that was necessary and she said she'd been given strict
instructions what to do.
He felt embarrassed and quit watching what she was doing. She
applied three coats of polish then started doing something else.
Then he looked at her as she undid the top of a bottle of clear
polish. He could feel the coolness of it when she put it on his
nails. She put on four coats of it before she said he was done, but
he had to wait for it to dry. She took him over to a seat and had
