An Unusual Day

It's not a usual day the day you get turned into a girl. Not at all, it
never had happened to me before. Never have I been walking to the shops
to get the papers only to return sans newspapers but with an ample pair

long days, days on vacation, hung over days alone in my bathroom,

That day, however, was not one of those days.

I was up earlier than usual that morning. Which in itself was the was the

stomach was mounting a mutiny against me for the crimes of a Mexican

It was subtle at first, barely more than a faint grumbling, I thought it
was the stomach about to launch its first attack wave. But stomach pains
usually don't make your hair grow at an astonishing rate, which is what
happened. My neck was catch unawares by a mass of hair. It slid like some
one was pulling a scarf down my neck. I jumped, thinking some insect was
crawling over my neck and when I tried to girlishly flick it away I

curdling scream. In hindsight having my hair change color was one of the
least unsettling things to happen that day and hardly worth screaming

and loud and I'm not surprised my housemate, Andy, woke up and got up to
see what the matter was.
But I'm getting ahead of myself.
Before Andy had arrived in the lounge room I was losing weight, fast.
Real fast. I was a chubby fellow for most of my life, always had trouble
getting rid of fat but I lost over 20 years worth of bodily harm in
seconds. I don't know where the fat was going but it was disappearing. It
felt disgusting, like a thousand straws were drinking my fat away. I

desperate to lose for years. By the time it was through I was trim,
taught, terrific and absolutely terrified. For the second time that day I
screamed.
My second scream sent Andy into double time, he ran into the room, hair
mussed from a night of well earned sleep. He screamed. The day had only
just begun and already it was one the loudest days I've been a part of. I
don't blame him for screaming, he had walked in on his house mate

So, in sunny Sydney, Australia and stocky Asian guy has just seen me

I sat calmly; half in a daze staring at Andy make his phone call. He said

with his accent he was forced to say the address three times before they
understood him. He hung up. Stared at me and once again said my name. The
way he said it this time was more quizzical and confused.
"What the hell happened?" I asked and before Andy could answer I asked
again, this time listening to my voice. It was high, lilting and almost
melodic. I said, "happened" a few times, clearing my throat to try and
remedy the problem. I sounded like a girl, a teenager, a child. I didn't
sound like me.
"You look weird," Andy whispered tilting his head to the side, like a
confused dog.
"How weird?"
"Like a girl."
Before I could respond to that disquieting comment a ripple shot through
my skin, starting at my toes and quickly through my body. I don't know
everything that ripple did to my body but when it reached my chest there
was an explosion, One second I had a normal flat chest and then BAM!
