As I was walking a bright light flashed behind me. I looked up and saw that there were a few rain clouds in the air. "Figures... It always rains here," I said as I ignored the light as lightening. Then a second flash of light struck, followed by yet another strike and another in a fairly rapid pace. "What..." I said as I turned around and at this moment knew it was definitely not lightening. I looked up to the sky and saw as it was more of a controlled burst of light. In a circular form. I continued to watch in amazement as the light seemed to becoming closer, and at the same time growing smaller. Paralyzed by fear and awe, I watched as the beam of light shot out from the sky and over my head. "Holy shit..." I managed to get out. Whipping my neck around, I watched as the light landed by a tree a few hundred yards away from me. I took another look at the site of impact. There was smoke, but no tell tale signs of a fire. Being the typical 17 year-old that I am I began to make my way over to whatever it was that had fallen from the sky. As I did a bunch of possibilities shot through my head as to what it could've been. It could have been a meteorite. A piece of a plane. Piece of a satellite. There were so many options. Once I got over to where the beam of light had fallen I noticed through the haze of smoke there was a small flutter of lights. Red and blue lights. "Whoa..." I said absently as I walked closer and closer to the thing. Squatting down I waved my hand into the smoke to clear it out. When I finally did my eyes went wide in shock to what I saw. It was a pod. A pod that was about the size of a basketball. "No way... Aliens?" I asked aloud as if I was some over excited tween girl about to meet Justin Beiber of Robert Pattension. I then got a bit nervous thinking what if this alien was not friendly. If it even was an alien. Movies have taught me otherwise. Namely the 1988 remake of The Blob, where it was a biological weapon the government created. "But those are movies... this is real life," I said to myself. A sound of whirling and mechanical whining came from nowhere as I fell back as it was coming from the pod. I watched as a few components of the pod began to spin and click as a crack emerged down the center of the pod. A cloud of steam spurted out of the opening along with a beam of light. Starring in amazement I then saw a little shadow appear between the openings. It came to the front of the pod and with the light hitting its back it looked to be no more than 8 inches tall. He looked around and spotted me. I froze up in worry. I could make out his face quite easily. It was round and long with I guess eye that kind of look like Oxy pads, but they were the same grayish tint that his skin was. He looked at me and gave me a smile. The smile was not wicked but his teeth sure looked it. He held up his hand which was adorned with four fingers. He curled two down and made the peace sign. I chuckled to myself and slowly held up the peace sign in return to the little thing. He plopped down from the pod and walked over to me. His walk was really cute and funny. Every time he took a step forward his body would look as if he was about to keel over but then he would regain his composer. He stood about two inches away from me and gave me the peace sign once more. It was as if he was telling me to not worry. But I was. I didn't know if this things jaw could detach and if he was going to swallow me whole. Looking me up and down, the little guy jumped up on my thigh over my right pocket and I felt him crush my pack of cigarettes. He must have known it too because the sound was audible and the look on my face was evident. The alien got a curious look on his face and looked down at where his feet were. He then took his thin arms and dug them into my pocket and fished out my crushed cigarette pack. He held it before his eyes and looked it up and down. He then made had a look of horror on his face and looked at me with what appeared to be a scowl. He then flung the cigarette pack in the air and as it fell back down he jumped up to meet it and caught it in his mouth. I watched as he then proceeded to chew the pack into mush and spit it out. "Hey man, those cost me 7.80!" I said annoyed at the fact that the alien destroyed my pack. He then turned his head to me and shook it in disapproval. "Oh, you're an alien with moral values," I asked him with a smile on my face. The alien looked at me and then nodded his head. Then the little grey man jumped up on to my shoulder and placed his hand at my temple. I didn't move as I felt a small electric shock. "Hello Earth Human Male. I am a scientist from the Eretho system. Do not be afraid as I am not here to hurt you. I apologize about the tobacco smokes. Those are not good for your health. They can cause end. Now before I get off track, allow me to introduce myself. I am Mord. A scientist from the Eretho system in the Andromeda Galaxy. I am here to perform experiments of a harmless nature on certain Earth Humans. Since you are the first one I have come into contact with, I would like to offer you the best of what my experiments are. My people are a very advanced race with advanced technology that is years from being a thought in mind. Through access to your world wide web we have discovered that some tech that our planet has is considered to be fake and impossible to achieve in your system. Now, as I am talking to you I am scanning your mind. The experiments that I am charged with are to see if your race is able to deal with the power of a supernatural nature. You will be granted these powers for an undetermined amount of time. But every now and then you will be checked in on. Now I will bestow you two experiments. One is the ability to enter the body of another Earth Human and take control of it. We call it hosting. And the second is to manipulate the minds of others. This might pinch," the alien was saying as he continued to speak to me through brain waves. Then as he had said, a pinch hit my brain and then a feeling of total numbness washed over my body. I felt as if I could not move. Then a bit of liquid began to seep out through my skin. "Do not be frightened, the liquid is what you will become when you use the Hosting ability. It is painless and you will find that it is quick," the alien explained as the liquid began to seep back within me. "Now as for the mind manipulation, if you think what you want an Earth Human to do in that Earth Human's direction it will be like pushing a brick into the place of another brick." Then the numbness went into my mind and I really couldn't think at that point. "Do no panic Earth Human. The numbness will make you pass out. But as I scanned your mind I know where you make residence and I will transport you there." That was the last thing I heard the alien saw as I passed out into a comfortable sleep. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Chapter 1 - The Morning After Waking up in the morning I began to stir and awake from a strange dream. A dream that I could not remember all that well, but a dream that seemed like one of those dreams that gets stuck in your mind. I groaned as I rolled over and saw that it was only 9 AM. "Wow... what a trippy dream," I said as I began to sit up and remember the funny dream I had about an alien. I slide my feet off the side of my bed and snapped my head to the left. As I felt my neck crack I let out a sigh. It always felt good to crack my neck in the morning. I stood up and made my way to the bathroom. When I got there I noticed I was still wearing my clothes from the night before. I shrugged and turned on the faucet and splashed water on my face and turned the faucet back off. Exiting the bathroom I heard a rustling coming from the kitchen. I walked down the stairs and as I entered the kitchen I was greeted by my little sister Kristen. At 16 Kristen was a pretty girl. "Because I thought he would think I was cool if I drove a powerful car," Kristen said to me truthfully. I slowly nodded my head as I chewed away. "Ok, so you just got a brand new Mazda 3... "Oh how I pity him," I said thinking of her boyfriend Mark and how I felt so bad for him. I wouldn't be surprised if she was cheating on him. My thoughts were interrupted by grunting coming from the kitchen were Kristen still was. The grunts then got louder. "What the fuck are you doing now Kristen?" I asked getting up and walked into the kitchen. "You know crying doesn't work on..." And to be honest, I didn't want to. I just tried to move past it. But the image stuck. I began to head back into the living room. "Kevin! Answer me will you? Why can't I borrow your car?" Kristen said now whining. I stopped and turned around. "Ok, you want to know why not? Ok, I'll tell you. First you can't handle that car, it is way to fucking fast for you. Then I think to myself she should just admit to me about the kind of person she is, and she did. Then my thoughts flew back to my dream. About the alien in the field. "That wasn't a dream..." I said as I remembered everything that happened last night. Everything he said. The powers. His experiment. How I would get two powers. One being mind control or something. I didn't remember how he put it. And the other was called... Hosting? "What the fuck was Hosting?" I asked myself trying to remember. I then needed some air as all this seemed to... just too... to be so out there. But then again, it was real. Or maybe I was just finally losing my mind after playing football too much. Opening the front door I blew out a stream of smoke and shook my head. "This is weird. There is no way that I have powers. That is crazy!" I said as I ashed my cigarette. I sat down on the front stoop and took another drag. I was trying to think of a way to prove to myself that there was no way in any hell that I had powers. The sound of a car door opening interrupted my thoughts. I whipped my head around to see my neighbor Kimberly getting out of her car. Kim was a nice woman. Married with two kids. She was very attractive. She did have some excess weight, but it didn't take away from her. It added to her shape and made her more motherly. "I don't believe it," I said to myself as I walked back into my house and shut the door behind me. Sitting down on my bed I thought about how great this was. I could influence anyone to do anything I wanted them to. As I spun around I heard the sound of a car horn honking. Curious I got up and walked over to the window and saw a green minivan sitting outside Kim's house. I watched as her two kids ran out to the car like bats out of hell. "The sleepover," I said to myself remembering what Kim told me earlier. I watched as Kim walked up to the car and chatted with the driver for a minute or two. I admired her wide hips and shapely ass. After a few seconds I opened an eye and saw that I was no longer in my room, but outside, and floating. "What the hell?" I asked again and once again did not get a response. I then saw as I was descending towards the ground. I was beginning to be relieved as I wasn't floating to Heaven just yet. I then felt myself being pulled towards the direction of Kim who had just turned back around to walk into her house. I lined up directly behind her as if by some unseen force and was moving closer and closer. "Kim! Watch out!" I said as I was about two feet away and it was imminent that we were going to collide. There was a second or two of silence. And I had a feeling this is where I was going to wake up. "DUDE NO FUCKING WAY! How the fuck are you in your MILFy neighbor's body?!" John screamed. I ran a hand through my long brown hair and sighed again. "I don't know bro. I... I think I have an idea. But..." I was going to try and explain how I just think this is a dream and was waiting to wake up, but I knew this was not a dream. And before I could continue I heard John say, "Dude, don't go anywhere or leave her body! I'm heading over right now!" Then there was a click and I heard the line go dead. I hit the end button on the phone and looked at the time that it read. "Great..." I said as I rolled my eyes. I placed the phone back down and knew John would be over in 4 minutes. Maybe less. When he is pissed or angry he drives like a fucking lunatic. Shuffling over to the couch I plopped my ass down on it and just sat there. I leaned my head back and closed my eyes as I leaned my head back. When I did I felt a slight tug of Kim's long hair pull down on my scalp slightly. "This is gonna be an interesting day."
