The Unexpected Anniversary Gift (Part 2)
Alex actually laughed at the thought. How silly it was to think his
father would hate him for wearing panties when he married a girl who was
really a boy. He hugged his mother.
"Believe me, Baby this is not an easy road. But I don't want you to feel
guilty like my parents made me feel," Standing up she bent over and
grabbed her yoga pants. Playfully smacking him on his thigh, she
continued, "OK, its two o'clock, so I don't have much time. So get up and
wash you face with hot water. I don't want my girl going out with red
eyes. Get your jeans on and we'll make a quick trip to the store."
"What?" Alex sniffed as he wiped his eyes once again.
"Well, I promised you some of your own clothes, you think I'd make you
wait, silly?" Ann slipped on her pants and sat down to lace her
sneakers. "Scoot!" She commanded.
Alex jumped up, and went to the bathroom to wash his face. He met Ann in
the kitchen and they went to the car together. "Mom?" Alex asked as they
were pulling out of the driveway, "What's up with your parents? Are they
my grandparents? Do they know about you and Dad?"
This was unexpected. Ann hadn't thought of her parents in ten years, it
had been almost fifteen years since she had last seen them. "Honey, they
know about all of it. They didn't like who I am and how I chose to live
so long before I met you guys I lost them. I told them in a letter, all
about your father. We even invited them to the wedding. So, I guess, no,
they aren't your grandparents. My family is you and your brother and
father," she said dabbing at the tear forming in her eye.
"I'm sorry Momma," Alex said.
"I know Baby. This is not an easy road...and I don't know where you will
end up. Maybe you are just experimenting, and that's fine, maybe you
will find there is a girl inside you that was always there wanting to get
out or some feeling in between. The point is that's all ok. But it will
be tough finding the answers sometimes," Alex sat thinking about this in
silence the rest of the ride to the store.
"Target?" Alex asked as they pulled in to the parking lot.
"Tar'get," Ann corrected smiling. "Look, you only need a few things to
start, and I'm not going to break the bank if this is just a phase.
Besides, a girl has to look forward to some things too. Maybe you and I
will hit a boutique some time soon," Ann said with a smile. "But for
now, patience. I want to get you some basics. We'll go here and Old
Navy. Get you some things a girl your age would normally wear, and then
go to my hair appointment."
"But they will know I'm a boy!" Alex cried, suddenly feeling as if every
eye in the world were on him.
"Trust your Mom, sweetheart. I'm not going to humiliate you. The boy's
section is right across the way from the girl's. I used to do this you
know on my own," She winked at him and got out of the car. Holding hands
they went in. Alex minded the cart, and avoided looking into the girl's
section. Ann giggled to herself as she saw him nervously sizing up every
other shopper.
"Do you think your sister will like these?" she asked him, holding up a
cute pink t-shirt, jeans with sparkly designs on the legs and a lavender
sundress.
"Uh-hum,," he said. Next they walked over to the intimates section, Ann
picked out a single pair of pale blue panties with a satin panel in the
front and lace on the hips in Alex's size, and a package of assorted
cotton panties. Then the hard part, she went over to the girl's bras and
looking over the training bras she grabbed a couple she thought might
fit. Emerging from this feminine area Alex was, as yet, too nervous to
invade she said to him, "Come on, let's get you sized up for some things
too," They walked over to the boy's section where she grabbed some
random clothes, so as not to embarrass Alex, she draped them over her
hand holding the training bras. Together they entered the dressing room.
"OK," she whispered, "I've never had to wear one of these, so let's just
try on a few to see how they fit." Alex removed his t-shirt and they
found one of the four that was quiet comfortable.
"See," she smiled as they emerged from the dressing room, "that was
easy," She dropped off the rejected clothes in the bin. "Just one more
thing honey, we need to get you some shoes," Ann wasn't sure about this
part. She knew the conversion from men's to women's sizes by heart, but
that was for adult shoes. "Are kid's shoes the same?" she wondered.
She had Alex take off one of his sneakers and wait for her in the boy's
section again. She matched up a couple of cute shoes, and holding them
up for Alex to see he nodded his approval to a pair of purple glittery
flats, and Ugg type boots. "Well, he likes cute shoes, there is hope for
him" she thought. She had him quickly try them on, then noting the size,
went back and got black ballet flats and black mary-janes with a two inch
heel too. "Four pairs of shoes on his first day," she giggled. "Like
mother, like daughter."
As they headed for check-out she realized they had run out of time. The
purchase was over $350, and Ann grimaced but handed over the credit-card.
Walking out to the car, she turned to Alex and said, "Honey this took
longer than I thought, I need to get to my appointment. I want you to
come with me."
"OK," he said noncommittally.
Sitting in the car she texted Tom.

As they drove to the salon, Ann filled in Alex on her plan. "I want you
to pick out some panties and your bra, get one of the tops and the jeans
and whichever shoes you prefer and dress at the salon."
Alex began to freak out a bit, but before he could say anything Ann
interrupted him. "Honey, the salon is appointment only. Margo is the
only one going to be there and she knows all about me. In fact, she used
to go to events and do the hair and makeup for girls like us. She even
married one of them," Alex relaxed considerably. "Besides, it will be
fun!"
Margo greeted them at the door, "Happy Anniversary!" She squealed,
holding out her arms for a big hug. She and Ann kissed each other's
cheeks as they hugged. They broke the hug and held hands. Margo turned
to Alex and asked "And this is....Tommy?"
"Alex,," he quietly replied.
"Oh, I'm sorry dear. Come on in the both of you. I guess Mom dragged
you here didn't she? I don't have many magazines for a boy like you to
read I'm afraid."
"Actually, Margo," Ann interjected, "there is something you could help us
out with."
"Oh?"
"Alex is...experimenting," Ann explained.
"Oh?"
"He'd like to use your bathroom."
"Of course, he can. Go on Hun, second door on the left," Margo said
pointing. Alex trundled off with his bag. And Margo turned back to Ann.
Ann set her purse down, and began to explain, filling her in on all that
had happened.
"So, after we finish," Ann asked "can you give him some light make up, a
clear coat on his nails and do his hair so I can brush it out if he
decides this isn't for him?"
Margo smiled. "Of course. He...I mean she, doesn't need much. We'll just
do a hair cut that would look androgynous when brushed right. I know you
can handle that for her, a dab of blush and some pink lipstick and she
will break little boy's hearts."
"Awesome!" Ann replied.
Margo had just finished washing Ann's hair when Alex came out of the
bathroom. He had chosen a pink Hello Kitty t-shirt, jeans and the purple
flats. He looked just like any eleven year old girl, minus the budding
breasts. Ann was stunned, even without make up Alex was adorable. Margo
broke the silence.
"Hello Alexis, we were beginning to think you fell in!"
Alex looked up and smiled. "Alexis?"
"Do you like it?" Ann asked.
"Yes!"
"Well, let's get your mom under a hair drier and work on you shall we?"
Margo said.
"Huh?" Alexis balked.
"Come on kiddo, hop in the chair," Margo asked.
"Go on Honey. Trust us," Ann said.
Alexis sat in the chair as Ann was taken to the drier. Margo came back
and wrapped the smock around her neck. "Now," she said, "I know you
aren't sure where this is heading. Your mother and I talked about it. So
I'm going to cut your hair so it will look boyish for school and when you
don't feel like being Alexis, but when you are ready to play, your mom
can style it. OK?"
"'kay," was all Alexis could squeak out.
Margo quickly washed and cut Alexis' hair, then turned back to Ann whose
hair was dry by now. Sitting Alexis in the hair drier, she did Ann's
make-up for the evening, very elegant and dramatic for an anniversary
dinner. Alexis stood and watched her mother's make-up being applied.
Margo explained everything she was doing for Alexis' benefit. Finally,
she sat Alexis in the chair and did a very light and natural look to the
child's face finishing it off with pink glittery lip gloss. While Ann's
nails had been done in a French manicure, she gave Alexis a clear coat.
Finished, the O'Donnell girls gathered their things to leave. Ann paid
Margo, and Margo came around the counter to say goodbye.
"Have a great time tonight," she said to Ann, with a goodbye hug. Then
she bent down and hugged Alexis. "And thank you, for allowing me to meet
Alexis." She kissed her on the cheek and Alexis instinctively kissed
back.
"Thank you, Miss Margo," Alexis said smiling, and she twirled and
practically skipped out the door.
"A world a difference, between the scared little boy who came in and the
happy girl leaving," Ann said as she turned to go.
"Like her mother, at her first appointment with me," Margo replied
smiling.
Ann smiled at that memory and waved as she left the salon.
Ann raced home, hoping she wouldn't have to flash some boob to get out of
another ticket. Dinner was at eight and it was five-thirty now. She had
to deal with Tommy's reaction, order pizza for the boys...ah...kids, and look
fabulous for her husband who would be home at six. "Wonder Wo-man do do
du du doot do du," she sang absentmindedly, earning an amused giggle from
Alexis in the peanut gallery. "What are you giggling at young miss?"
"What were you singing?" Alexis asked.
"Oh! That was out loud?" Ann laughed. "It's just an old TV show theme
Babe. Now, when we get home, you get upstairs to your room. Do not pass
go, do not collect two hundred dollars. You have homework to do to make
up for your little day off today, and truth be told, I still need to
figure out how to introduce you to your brother and father."
"OK Mom," Was the less than enthusiastic reply.
The car pulled into the garage, and Ann and Alexis came into the house
with their packages. Ann was greeted with the sounds of electronic
machine gun fire and explosions. Tom was distracted. "Good," Ann thought
and motioned with her head to Alexis to head straight upstairs. Calling
out to Tom she said, "Homework had better be done or I'm going to nuke
your butt young man!"
"God! It is!" was the yelled reply. Ann walked in to the living room Tom
was laying on the couch, playing some war game.
"Pause it," she commanded.
"Awww!" Tommy complained but hit the pause button.
"Dad and I are going out. You are here with Alex..," she caught herself
from saying Alexis. "I'm ordering pizza which should be here before we
leave. I want to talk to you about your brother before we go. But I have
to get dressed for tonight."
"OK Mom," Tom said and returned to his game.
Ann place the order to their favorite pizza place, then went upstairs to
the bedroom. Stopping at Alexis' door, she knocked gently and said
"Honey, its Mom."
"Come in."
Alexis was still in her new clothes. The bags still piled around. "Put
your new clothes away Honey. And I'll get the trash later. I don't know
if you saw but I also bought you something to sleep in if you want," Ann
fished them out of the bag, it was Kelly green satin cami top with lace
trim on the cups and matching tap pants. "You should feel comfy in
this," Alexis touched the fabric and smiled. "Ok, finish up your
homework, and read until I call you ok?" Ann smiled at Alexis' reaction.
She knew how good that material felt, particularly the first time. She
had no illusions of what Alexis would do in her new nightclothes either.
"Well, I turned out just fine," she reasoned.
"Yes, momma."
Ann left and continued to her bedroom. She ran the tub and went to
gather her outfit. The new heels black corset and stockings, a rare
treat anymore, where laid on the bed. She remembered when stockings were
all she wore. But then again, being a wife and mother made her practical
and pantyhose took over on the rare occasion she wore a skirt. She took
out her dress, a strapless taffeta dress in a deep green it was almost
black, just risqu? enough for a mother of two. It would show off her
legs and they were her best attribute.
In the tub she sank to her breasts careful of her hair. She shaved her
legs and underarms. Her face and chest hair was permanently done away
with long ago. Emerging from the tub she padded herself dry. Then a
quick swipe of Secret under her arms "strong enough for a man, but made
for a woman, indeed," she thought smiling at herself. Wrapping the towel
around her body, she went into the bedroom where she was startled by Jack
almost bumping into him.
"OOH!" she gasped and her towel fell. Playfully she swatted at him.
"Ass! You're home early."
Jack laughed at her pretend anger. "Well, it is a special night," he
reasoned.
Not allowing her to pick up her towel he grabbed her and held her close,
his hand finding her pookie as he kissed her. Her hands were on his
chest to begin with and she pushed away at first then submitted and
curled her arms around his neck. He kissed her neck then, lowering
himself down, he kissed her naked bosoms. Still stroking her velvet
pole, he kissed her tummy, then hips and finally taking her pookie into
his mouth, he made her groan with pleasure. She got weak in the knees
and she felt his strong hands support her by the hips.
"Jack!" she gasped.
"Mmm-hmm?" he replied with a mouthful of his wife's meat.
"Oh, Jack! Wait....wait mmmmm 'til after dinner," she begged.
"Nnn-hmm," he said shaking his head no, still with her in his mouth.
"Please.... Oh, some...something happened today."
A loud pop signaled Jack had relented. Standing and wiping the saliva
off his lips with the back of his hand he asked, "What? Is it something
serious?"
"Well, it's serious, but not necessarily bad," she said reassuringly.
Disengaging she went over to her dresser and pulled out a black gaff.
She began to dress telling Jack as he changed his suit to dinner jacket.
Ann tucked herself somewhat painfully in the gaff, giving him an accusing
look, as the semi-stiffness refused to be restrained. Then she pulled
out lace boy-shorts and stepped into them pulling them up her legs to her
hips. Next, was the black satin corset. Jack was tightening the laces as
she got to the part when she walked in on Alex. Jack tied her corset off
and sat down on the bed. Ann sat down next to him and rolled on her
stockings.
"Are you sure?" he asked.
"Jack, you fucked me this morning and I was wearing the very same
nightie. I'm damn sure."
"Honey, you could have been wearing a paper bag this morning, I wouldn't
have noticed. When I'm hot for you, all I want is you, not the
wrappings."
Ann smiled at the odd compliment.
"Well, anyway, I told him the truth. I asked him not to use my things.
And I got him his own panties and clothes. We just have to see how he,
or rather, she deals with it."
"She?" Jack asked.
"Yes, Alexis is now our daughter," she said as she clipped the straps
from her corset to her stocking tops. "At least when she wants to be,
and for however long she wants to be. Remember she could just be going
through an exploration phase. But I don't want her feeling like I did
when I was her age."
Jack nodded thinking of the pain his wife carried over her parents. He
looked up at his wife standing there in her black lingerie bare breasted
and looking very sexy. "Alexis, eh? How did I get a woman both sexy and
wise?" he asked as Ann sashayed to her boudoir chair.
Ann chuckled and sat down to fasten her shoes. "Hard and painful
experience, my dear man, that's how. Go see her; while I finish dressing,
then we have to tell Tom."
"Yep" Jack stood up and gave himself another longing look at his wife.
She posed for him enjoying his gaze on her body.
"Go," she said. "Meet your daughter."
