Gordon Richards let out a long sigh of defeat and collapsed onto his bed.
Staring up at his ceiling, he shook his head and grumbled to himself.
"Can't believe Scott asked Mary out and she said yes. Man, why does he
have to be so freakin' good with girls?"
Scott Fisher was Gordon's best friend. The two had met in kindergarten
and immediately befriended one another. The two of them were extremely
alike in so many ways. Both had extremely nerdy interests that revolved
around anime, Dungeons & Dragons, and video games. However, as the years
rolled by, one major difference emerged between the two. Gordon slowly
but surely became a fat and somewhat unattractive young man while Scott,
despite being a geeky fellow, was gifted with an appearance that girls
deemed to be very attractive. Gordon and Scott were still great friends,
but Gordon always secretly envied his friend's girl-luring body.
Gordon was also frequently upset with Scott in private. While Scott was
indeed a good looking guy, he never flaunted it and would quietly go
about his own business with his fellow geeks. Girls would frequently lust
over him behind his back, all of them anxiously awaiting to be asked out
by him... but he never did. Gordon, who instead received glances of
contempt from girls due to his weight, felt that Scott was wasting his
good looks. He could date any girl he wished, but he never did. Well,
until he asked Mary Price out. Mary was regarded as being one of the
lesser attractive girls in their high school and was frequently called
"Horse Face" by other girls.
"Damn it man, why? Why did he have to ask that ugly bitch Mary out?"
Gordon groaned as he imagined Mary's unattractive face in his face.
"Geez, he could do so much better. He's wasting his looks. Man, I wish
that I could be him. I'd be able to get with a girl for once. Any girl!"
Gordon knew that this was an impossibility though, and he raised himself
up into a sitting position. He looked down at his stomach, which hung
down and often prevented him from even seeing his own genitals when using
the bathroom, and sighed. "Screw the girls. Man, at least I wouldn't have
this fucking weight to carry around in his body."
It was at this moment, as Gordon stared at himself and loathed his own
body, that a paper suddenly drifted to the floor in the middle of his
bedroom. Gordon looked all around, curious as to where the paper came
from. His room was rather clean, so it couldn't have fallen from
anywhere. Curious, he slid off his bed and approached the paper to
examine it. Upon picking it up, Gordon's eyes widened immensely. He
slowly read the title slowly in disbelief. "Body theft spell? Enter
another person and... become them?" Gordon shook his head, unable to
believe what the paper said. "There's no way that this can be real."
Despite Gordon's skepticism, he read over the rest of the paper
containing the spell. After doing so, he looked towards his phone resting
on his computer desk. Slowly, he approached it and picked it up, typing
it Scott's number and hitting the call button. After a few rings, there
was an answser. "Hello?"
Gordon just stood for a moment, looking at the paper before he mustered
an answer. "H-Hey man, it's Gord. You wanna do anything?"
Scott's answer was immediate. "Shit, I was just about to call you. I'm
bored out of my tree over here! You got anything to watch?"
"Uh... Yeah, I um... I found something interesting, maybe you can come
over and we can check it out."
Gordon was afraid of the way he worded his reply, but Scott was
oblivious. "Cool, I'll be over in fifteen minutes or so. Just gotta put
my laundry in the wash."
A nervous smile crept onto Gordon's face as he hung up without even
saying goodbye. He rested the phone back on the table and looked back at
the paper in his other hand, still trying to come to grips with what it
said he would be able to do.
Twenty minutes later and Scott stepped into Gordon's room with his friend
by his side. Gordon, five and a half feet tall. Chubby, pale and
unattractive, messy dark brown hair. Scott, in comparison, was almost six
feet tall, had a fit and muscular build, wavy light brown hair, and
slightly tan skin. The two looked completely different and, to an
outsider, they looked like they belonged to totally different social
groups. Despite the fact that Scott could easily hang around with the
popular cliques, he remained lower to his nerdy friends. Gordon was happy
to have such a loyal friend, which made him feel uneasy about his plan.
Scott looked around the room and noticed that Gordon's computer wasn't
even on. He turned and looked at his shorter friend, noticing his
nervousness. "So, uh, what was it that you have for us to watch?"
Gordon lifted the paper in one hand, holding it to face him as he looked
it over. His eyes went from the paper to his friend's confused face and
back again. "Scott, forgive me man... but you'll understand why I did
this later."
As Scott opened his mouth to protest, Gordon recited the spell quickly,
his eyes never leaving his friend as he did so. Immediately after, there
was nothing. Did it work? Scott stood motionless, looking back at his
friend... until his eyes quickly disappeared into thin air and his
insides apparently collapsed into themselves. Scott, or what was left of
him, fell to the floor. Gordon looked down in astonishment, immediately
realizing that all that remained of his friend was his skin. Gordon
nervously reached out with a foot and poked at Scott's hair, his face not
visible. Nothing happened as Gordon's foot touched the skin, so he
flipped the face back with his foot. The sight of Scott's deflated and
empty face flipping back to look at him startled him, and he fell
backwards and onto the floor. After gathering his senses, Gordon crawled
over to his emptied friend and looked closely at the face. It certainly
was Scott down to the tiniest detail, he was just... empty. Gordon
reached out and touched Scott's cheek with his fingertips. The cheek
immediately pushed in like a mask. Gordon's fears began to evaporate
quicker than he expected as he sat upright and pulled his empty friend
into his lap, holding the sides of Scott's face with his hands. Gordon
peered down at the face and shook his head in disbelief. "I can't believe
it worked, but... now what?"
Gordon's question soon answered itself. When he turned his friend around,
he found a large slit in the back that looked like it would allow him to
crawl inside through. He nervously undressed in a quick manner, pushing
his clothes aside and standing up straight with Scott's skin dangling in
his outstretched arms. Gordon gulped once and let out a deep sigh before
pulling the empty skin close and sliding his left leg in, letting it
glide into Scott's empty one. The feeling of Scott's skin from the inside
was almost like rough rubber, but it was pleasant in a strange way. As
Gordon felt Scott's skin hug him, he noticed that the skin didn't expand
to fit his fatter leg. He had Scott's thinner and more muscular leg.
Gordon couldn't believe what he was seeing, and he quickly slipped his
right leg in, pulling Scott's waist up as a result and encasing Gordon
from the pelvis down. He took a moment to bend and move his new legs a
little bit before lifting the empty torso and slipping his left arm into
Scott's empty one, enjoying the feeling of his fingers slipping into
those of his friend. After repeating this with the right arm, Gordon
pushed up on the skin from the pelvis up to his shoulders, immediately
removing any wrinkles and resulting in him having his friend's body from
the shoulders and down. All that was left was what dangled down over his
chest. Gordon pulled up the face and peered in through the small opening
remaining at the top of the neck. He could peer out through the empty
eyes, nostrils, and mouth with ease. Despite feeling a little insecure
about what he was doing to his friend, the sight of his friend's face
appearing like a mask from the inside eased Gordon's mind a little as he
told himself that he was just putting on a Halloween costume. With a
quick pull, he slid his face in through the back of Scott's neck and into
his face, immediately feeling the empty features of the face lining up
awkwardly with his own. Gordon reached up and readjusted the eyes so that
he could see. The nose seemed to work itself out immediately and didn't
require any adjustments, so Gordon moved his hands directly to the lips.
He pulled them over his own and tucked the inside of Scott's lips into
his mouth. As he did so, the entire face suddenly stopped hugging him and
felt much more natural.
Gordon breathed loudly and nervously as he approached a mirror he had on
his desk which he used when shaving his hair. He picked it up with
Scott's own hand and peered into the reflection. What he saw almost made
him drop the mirror. It was Scott in every conceivable way. Gordon
reached up with his free hand and ran a hand up and down his cheek. "H-
Holy shit. I'm Scott!" He felt up his new face for another moment before
making a few faces, and then he set the mirror up so that he could stand
a few feet back and check himself out in the reflection. With every
passing second, Gordon was feeling more and more at home inside of his
friend. As he looked at his reflection one last time, a large smile crept
across his face as he was truly satisfied with what he had done. All that
was running through his mind now was the thought of pretty girls who
would want him in their beds.
Gordon decided that it was time to put some clothes on, so he turned
towards Scott's clothes which were still sitting on the floor. However,
something else caught his attention. Standing there in his doorway was
his own mother, staring at him with her arms crossed. Gordon could barely
even speak. "M-Mom?!"
Gordon's mother stood completely still as she looked her transformed son
in the eyes. "I just watched everything that you did, Gordon. I know what
you did to Gordon."
Panic began to flow throughout Gordon as he stood there before his
mother. He began to open his mouth, ready to explain himself, when she
lifted a finger. A small but devious grin appeared on her face. "I'm glad
that you enjoyed my little gift, Gordon. The new look suits you."
