"Everybody into the house!" Zack screamed. We all stood frozen in fear.
"Now!"
I hopped out of Jess' arms a scurried into the house as fast as I could.
If I hadn't felt like a child before I definitely did now. You know that
feeling you got in the pit of your stomach when your parents caught you
doing something bad? Yeah, that's how I feel right about now. Ironically
enough, I am in that exact same position I would get into as a child
except now I'm in the body of a child and my "mother" is one of my best
friends. My body was acting on impulse, eyes fixated on the ground in
what I can only assume was a hangdog expression plastered on my freckled
face. The hairs on the back of my neck stood on end and my heart was
racing faster than it ever has. We were caught and I knew it. This
moment was going to come eventually but I didn't think it would be this
soon. My time as Madison this week had just flown by and now the party
was over and we had to face the consequences. As I plopped my tiny butt
on the sofa I heard the front door slam behind me. I looked up and met
Zack's eyes for a brief moment, then quickly tried to find a spot on the
carpet to focus on.
Off to the side another door closed and in walked Bob from the garage
carrying heavy luggage bags. After a quick survey of the situation he
asked, "Babe, what's wrong?"
"Sweetie, could you take Adam up to his room please? I need to have a
chat with our daughter," Zack explained. I accidentally met Zack's gaze
once more but I didn't see fury in his eyes. It was fear. Genuine fear
and what I can only assume was sadness. It was as if he was saying,
"Please don't say anything to Bob."
"C'mon kiddo, time for bed," Bob said, placing his hand behind Adam's
back. Lucky for us, Adam played it cool and didn't say a word.
As soon as Zack heard the bedroom door close upstairs he wasted no time
laying into us, "O.K. what in the hell is going on here?"
I started to explain, "Listen, I know this is a lot to take in but you
have to bear with me for a second here. We didn't exactly plan his, you
have to understand."
"I don't even know what it is I'm supposed to understand!"
Jess stood up, "Alright, I know this is going to sound bad..."
"YOU," Zack started, but held back for a moment as if he was trying to
choose his words carefully. "We had an arrangement. We talked about
this. Why on Earth would you come here? To my home? What if Bob finds
out?"
"Well, let's be honest here. Technically this is my home and.."
"Oh don't give me that, you know what I meant," Zack stomped his foot in
frustration.
I spoke up, "It wasn't Jess' fault. She only came because we needed her
help."
Zack's eyes started welling up with tears, "And why does Madison keep
calling us by 'those' names?"
I stood up from the sofa and slowly made my way over to Zack, "That's
what we're trying to tell you. We aren't who we all appear to be."
He tried making eye contact with me but couldn't bring himself to do it.
Instead, his eyes went across the room to my old body, "All you had to
do was watch the kids for one week. ONE week so Bob and I could have
some time off and I come home to a disaster. What is so hard about
babysitting a few children?"
It was Madison's turn to stand up, "Mommy you're not listening! It's not
their fault!" She paused, "I mean, Zack."
Zack's jaw dropped as he stared in horror at my old body, then down to
me, and then back and forth a few times, "No... this isn't happening."
"It is happening. That's why I'm here. The kids got into the book while
you were away," Jess explained.
"So you're saying that's... Madison?" pointing to Maddie. She nodded.
Zack looked down at me, "And you are...?"
"Ryan," I said.
Zack looked a little light headed so I helped ease him onto a nearby
chair, which was a lot harder given my new found strength. Or lack
thereof.
Holding back his tears he asked, "Where is Mason?"
Mason jumped up from the sofa, "Right here, buddy."
"Oh god...," and then the tears started pouring out. "It's all of you?"
I gently nodded. I didn't know what to say. This was going to be a lot
harder than I had expected. Suddenly Zack sat upright in the chair with
a look of terror on his face, "Adam? Adam too?"
I handed him a tissue, "Adam is fine. He wasn't affected. Just me,
Maddie, Mason, and Hailey." This seemed to comfort him. At least a
little bit, considering the situation. It was hard to see my friend like
this. I've always known Zack to be a strong guy, mentally and
physically, so to see him so vulnerable was strange. My friend had
slipped so comfortably into the role of mother of two that it was
surprising to see him taking this information in as if these really were
his children.
"But... why?" Zack managed to stammer.
Madison took a seat next to her apparent mother, "It was my fault. Mine
and Hailey's. The guys had nothing to do with it so please don't be mad
at them. Me and Hailey tricked them into switching places with us. I
thought it would be fun to be a grown up for awhile. I never meant for
things to turn out like this. I SWEAR I didn't. Hailey tricked me and I
feel so stupid for going through with it! I'm sorry mom, I'm so, so
sorry!"
She burst into tears and her head collapsed into Zack's massive bosom.
Motherly instincts intact, he comforted "his" little girl. You'd think
I'd be used to sights like this by now but even during the severity of
the situation, I cringed watching my old body act like, well, a little
girl. Zack pet that back of Maddie's head and spoke to her in a calm,
loving voice, "It's alright, sweeite. I'm not mad at you. I could never
be mad at you."
Breathing a slight exhale of relief I glanced over in Mason's direction.
I can't remember a time he's ever been this quiet for so long. His face
said it all. While not crying himself, he was definitely on the verge.
"Alright, well, there's only one thing we can do now," Zack said as
Madison lifted her head from his chest. "Where's that book?"
"What do you need the book for?" Mason asked, a worried look on his
face.
"We can't have you guys like this forever now can we?" he said.
"You mean, you can actually change us back?!" Madison exclaimed.
"Of course I can! I'm your mother, aren't I?" Madison gave him an
awkward look. "Well, in body at least."
Maddie giggled at that, "Yeah, but I thought.."
"Zack," Jess said.
"All I need is the book and I ca-,"
"ZACK," Jess shouted. She didn't have to say anything after that. She
looked Zack straight in the eyes and shook her head slowly.
"You don't mean...," he started to say but the rest of the words failed
to leave his lips. Jess nodded her head and Zack slipped slowly back
into his seat.
"So this is real then. This is how they stay?"
"I'm afraid so. As soon as I figured out what was going on I got here as
fast as I could. I tried to make the transition on them easier by using
one of the temporary spells but in the end, there wasn't much else I
could do," Jess told him.
"So then where is Hailey right now?" he asked.
"Well...," I said. "Hailey had a bit of a power trip, I guess you could
say. It turns out her father was hitting her and her sisters and she
decided to take it upon herself to use Mason's body to teach him a
lesson."
"He was hitting those girls?! Are you kidding me? How did I never know
this? I would beat him up my self!" he shifted his bra a bit. "Or sent
Bob over there."
"I didn't know either. Hailey never said anything to me about it,"
Maddie said.
"So that's what all those cop cars were doing outside their house?"
Mason chimed in, "Yeah. When we heard you guys might be home soon we
rushed out to find Hailey in my body. She was completely wasted and
wasn't thinking clearly. We tried to stop her, but we're stuck in these
tiny bodies now. There wasn't much we could do. So now the cops have her
over night. We'll have to figure out what to do for her tomorrow."
"But everyone is O.K. right? She didn't hurt anyone did she?"
"Yeah, for the most part," I said. "Her family is a bit shaken up.
Kelsey is holding down the fort for now and it looks like her father
might go to a treatment center for alcohol abuse. The man needs serious
help. What he did was inexcusable but the first thing he can do to
regain their trust is to get the help he so desperately needs."
Zack stared long and hard at me then motioned me to come sit on his lap,
"Come here a sec."
I guess my daughterly instincts kicked in and I obeyed. It felt weird
being able to sit on his lap without crushing him and while he stared
into my big, brown eyes I felt a warmth I haven't felt in ages. He
reached up and brushed a tear from my cheek with his thumb, almost
cutting me with his nail.
"That's really you in there, huh Ryan?"
Not really knowing what else to say, I nodded.
"This is fucking unbelievable. It's like, I'm in complete shock," he
laughed a bit. "My two best friends are now pre-teen girls. One of them
my own daughter! I mean, Jesus Christ, how do people normally react in
these situations?"
"I think we're the first," Mason giggled.
His attention turned towards Madison, "Sweetie, how are you handling
things? This must be so hard for you."
"It's been a roller coaster ride. First it was fun, then it was scary
once I found out it was forever, but it got easier when mom came back to
help us. She's helped me adjust more to being a guy. More so than the
spell did."
"What about the spell?" Zack asked.
"When the girls switched bodies with the boys they were able to retain
the boys memories. Make things easier on themselves to fool everyone
into thinking they were actually adults. Mason and Ryan don't have that
luxury," Jess explained.
"Well I guess that's something. The transition from child to adult is
much harder on the psyche than the other way around. As for the boys,
this is more of a vacation for them. Getting to be kids again."
"WAS supposed to be a vacation," I noted. "But I'm no longer taking
temporary possession of this body. I've become it's permanent resident.
"But it looks like you've become pretty accustomed to Madison's body. I
haven't seen you too long but I've definitely noticed you've picked up a
few of her habits," Zack pointed out.
"Like what?!"
"Well for starters, for the past few minutes you've been chewing on the
sleeve of the nice sweater I bought you."
I quickly pulled my wrist away from my lips, "Well I was nervous!"
"And your legs are crossed," he pointed. I quickly uncrossed my legs.
"You're clearly wearing at least a little bit of makeu--," I cut him
off.
"ALRIGHT, we got it. Why don't you pick on Mason for a bit?"
"I'm not too worried about Mason. I'm sure he's loving it, aren't ya
dude?"
Mason's eyes widened to the size of dinner plates, "What the fuck do you
mean by that?"
"Oh nothing, forget I said anything."
It was time for me to turn the tables, "Well, what about you? You're a
woman now too! Who are you to judge? From the looks of it you got pretty
comfortable as Jess."
Zack sat back and exhaled, "I'm not gonna lie to you, it's been an
interesting ride to say the least. What first started as my own little
vacation from myself turned into a whole new full time job. Being a
mother of two. And while it was a lot to take in at first, over time I
grew to really love it. Like, honestly LOVE it. These kids looked up to
me. They depended on me. I've never had that feeling before and for the
first time in my life I actually felt like a belonged somewhere."
Mason gave Zack a puzzled look, "You didn't mind being a woman?"
"Well obviously not at the beginning. The first week was pretty rough.
You girls are young now but one day you might be walking around with
jugs this size and let me tell you, it can be murder on the back."
Mason and I exchanged glances, "Yeah we know."
"The second week was worse considering I had no preparation whatsoever
for Jess' period. The sight of all the blood alone was--"
"EEWW," Madison wailed. "Stop!"
"Sorry! Sorry," Zack gave us guys-turned-girls sympathetic looks.
"Anyway, so after all that nonsense was through I became more and more
comfortable in Jess' body. I mean, let's be honest here guys. Which one
of us didn't have a crush on Jess growing up?"
"Guilty," I mumbled.
"Not me," Mason said proudly, folding his arms across his chest.
"Yeah, that's probably because you wanted to BE Jess," I teased, giving
him a playful shove.
"Shaadup!" he joked, shoving me back.
"Settle down girls," Jess said. "Let him finish."
"So as I was saying, with each passing day I become more comfortable in
Jess' skin. The look on the kid's faces when they walked into the
kitchen every morning to the breakfast I had prepared for them just
warmed my heart. Truthfully, as time went on, my only real problem
became Bob. Don't let this body fool you, I love being with women. Not
being women. So sleeping with Bob was never an activity on my to-do
list, literally. Also, it just felt wrong. Not just because I'm really a
guy in a woman's body. But also because I felt I would be betraying both
Bob and Jess. Like some sort of body switching home wrecker. It's like,
I dunno. It's complicated. The point is that the more time I spent with
him the more I really, truly started caring for him. And after a few
weeks in this body, it could only hold out on certain urges for so long.
Sure, masturbating was amazing, don't get me wrong, but I..."
"Jesus Christ...," Jess clapped her hands on her face.
"Sorry! Sorry. Sorry. But can you blame me? You of all people should
understand the needs of this body."
"It's not that. Can you, can you just please keep this PG in front of my
daughter?" she pleaded.
"Yeah Maddie, cover your ears. Adults are talking," Madison looked at me
and gave a sly smirk. My only response was to stick out my tongue.
Mature, yes I know.
Zack continued, "PG, alright I can do that. So one night, after a few
too many drinks at dinner, my body succumbed to temptation and Bob and I
spent the remainder of the night in bed. I felt awkward about it the
next morning but after carefully playing back the scenario in my head I
really didn't do anything wrong. Bob had been getting frustrated. For
weeks I was very standoffish, which I'm sure bruised his ego. It was
hard to keep coming up with excuses not to sleep with him. And I have to
say Jess, found one hell of a husband. A lesser man wouldn't have
handled the situation as well as he had. I can only imagine what was
going through the head of a man whose wife was disgusted by the very
idea of sleeping with him."
I caught a glimpse of something moving in my peripheral vision, "Ummm,
hey you might want to keep it down for a second."
Zack clearly couldn't hear me, "I mean, what am I supposed to tell the
guy? 'Hey man, sorry I can't sleep with you. I'm not actually your wife.
I'm just stuck in her body for the time being.'"
The sound of glass shattering made my blood run cold. All of us sat
there, frozen with fear. I already knew what I was going to see, but I
was still afraid to turn my head.
"Bob...," Jess whispered, her masculine hand shot up to cover her mouth.
There he stood in the hallway. The remains of a drinking glass shattered
all over the hard wood floor around him, "I just... I just came to get a
drink for Adam."
Zack flew from his chair across the room and ran to Bob, avoiding the
broken glass, "Sweetie, are you alright? How much did you hear?"
He reached up to touch Bob's face but he slapped his hand away, "Don't
touch me. What is going on here?"
"O.K. I'll tell you, but you need to calm down. This is going to be hard
to hear."
"What's going on!?!" he shouted at the top of his lungs.
Madison had never seen her father yell like this and on pure reflex
spoke up, "Daddy, please don't be angry!"
Bob's face went pale as he stared at the grown man that just referred to
him as "daddy." The look of confusion in his eyes was overwhelming. Zack
was trying to get his attention to explain but now he was fixated on
Madison.
"What did you just call me?"
"Umm, daddy?" Madison whimpered.
Bob's started breathing heavily. I can only imagine the thoughts that
are racing through his head right now. We weren't even prepared to tell
him anything just yet, let alone have him walk in on a conversation
about us and our mismatched bodies. I gave Jess a worried look and, even
through Zack's facial features, she assured me with her eyes she would
handle this.
"Listen, Bob," Jess started to make her way over to him.
"DON'T. Don't YOU take another step!" he demanded. "There's been
something fishy going on around here lately and my gut tells me you're
the source. I don't know what I just heard but I know you're involved so
just BACK OFF."
Jess didn't stop. She continued over to him only now in a much slower,
calmer manner, "I'm afraid I can't do that. I need you to listen to me.
I know this is a lot to hear but what you heard was the truth but I can
assure you that everything is going to be fine."
Bob quickly shot his apparent wife a confused look. I thought he was
about to burst but instead tears filled his eyes and he whimpered, "Who
are you?"
Zack looked like his heart was breaking. He knew whatever he said wasn't
going to go over well. He had grown to care for this man over the past
few months, maybe even loved him. And now he's got to break the most
unbelievable news to him. That's he's not really his wife. That he's not
even really a woman, "I'm Zack. And that's Jess. We.... switched
bodies."
"That's impossible. You can't be. It's absolutely impossible!"
"It's true daddy, we all got switched. It was an accident," Madison
tried to assure him.
"I don't... I can't...," he trailed off.
By this point Jess was standing face to face with her husband.
Carefully, she leaned forward, and softly whispered into his ear. As she
spoke, Bob's eyes grew wider and wider until they finally erupted into a
fountain of tears and he dropped to his knees. Madison rushed over and
kneeled down next to her father and comforted him. Bob looked up into
the eyes of my former body, "That's you in there.... baby girl?" Madison
nodded and hugged him even more.
"Let's give them some time alone, dude," Mason grabbed my slender hand
in his and lead me upstairs.
-------------
"What do you think they're talking about?" Mason asked, picking little
fuzz balls out from between his toes.
"I dunno, but I'm just glad I'm not down there. I mean, could you
imagine if you found out one of your old girlfriends was actually a guy
in a woman's body?"
He shot me a glare, "If I found out?" Heavy emphasis on the "I."
"Alright, you're a bad example."
Mason fell back on my bed and stuck his toes straight in the air, "Now
that it's out in the open it's really starting to sink in."
"I know what you mean," I found myself staring at my own toes and
marveling at how small they were.
He quickly flipped over onto his stomach, legs still up in the air, and
placed his arm under his chin, "If you told me ten years ago that Zack
would one day be your mother I would have called you a liar."
"What? You mean you wouldn't believe me?" I laughed tossing a pillow at
his adorable face. "What kind of friend are you?"
"The kind of friend who also would have never thought ten years ago he
would one day be jealous of your bust size," he giggled.
I peered down my freckled cleavage. Jesus, one day these things might be
as big as Zack's. What a frightening thought. Having taken Kelsey's
chest for a spin was a fun experience though the short time in her body
was more than enough for me. Thinking about it now, based on both Kelsey
and Jess' physical assets, both Mason and I had quite a journey ahead of
us in terms of changes. I was so deep in thought I didn't even notice
Mason completely disrobing by the mirror.
"Dude! What are you doing?"
He pulled off his training bra and tossed it in my face, "Calm down man,
you might as well get used to it cause we'll be seeing a lot of each
other like this from now on."
It was strange to see my friend like this, in all his glory so to speak.
Mason was always a free spirit, very comfortable with his body. But
changing in the gym locker room was always strange as a guy, for me at
least. But this didn't feel as strange to me. Were the stories we heard
growing up about girls and sleepovers actually true? Was it common to
strip down to their bras and panties and have a tickle fight? I chuckled
at that. It seemed unlikely. But I guess I'll be finding out first hand
in the future. There will be many a nights, I'm sure, where Mason and
myself will find ourselves in this room with a crew of teenage girls
swapping clothes and doing each others nails. I'm cringing just thinking
about it. Mason continued to pose in the mirror, cupping his budding
breasts in a desperate attempt to make them seem larger.
"Are you scared?" I asked.
He took his hands of his breasts and gave me a curious look, "Well yeah,
who wouldn't be?"
"Yeah I know. It just seems like you have your shit together more, I
guess. I dunno," my gaze met my toes once more.
"Hey, listen," he tilted my chin up with his thumb. "I know I make it
seem like it's no big deal, but that's just how I deal with things. I
mean, I can't really lie. This is kind of a dream come true for me.
Though I've known for awhile now my feelings towards men I never once
thought about getting a sex change or anything. I loved my body.
Probably more than any man should. But I never really felt like a woman
trapped in a man's body or anything like that. However, once this
actually happened and I literally became a man trapped in a woman's body
I guess, I dunno, something about it just felt right. I feel my mind is
telling me that given my desires towards men, this new body of mine will
make things a lot easier for me in the future. Looking through some of
those teen magazines in Hailey's room made me feel a little funny down
in my new lady parts if you catch my meaning?"
I giggled, "Gee, what ever do you mean by that?"
"All I'm saying is that this is still hard on me as well, but I do think
I have some sort of an "advantage" over you. Do you know what I mean?"
I looked into his eyes. Fuck he really was cute now. All I could do was
nod.
"Think of it this way dude, we still have each other! Things could have
turned out a lot worse. Plus, Zack is back in our lives! Granted he's
your mom now and two decades older than us, but still! It'll be like old
times."
Mason always knew how to make me laugh. Even in extraordinary
circumstances such as these, he can put a smile on my face. I picked up
his shirt from off the ground, "Could you do me a favor?"
"Anything buddy."
"Put some fucking clothes on," I teased as I threw his shirt at him.
"If I must," he playfully sighed, strolling around the room picking up
the rest of his clothes. His shorts half hiding under my bed so I
snatched them up and tossed them his way. I noticed where his shorts had
been his cell phone remained. Must have fallen out of his pocket. Having
a flashback to the moment right before I swapped with Kelsey, and making
a quick note as to whether Mason was paying attention to me or not (he
wasn't), I flipped open the phone and did a little searching through his
picture gallery. As expected, lots photos of him posing in the mirror
with different outfits and cutesy facial expressions. I have the feeling
Hailey's Facebook page is going to become a bit more self absorbed, if
that's even possible for girls this age. As I continued scrolling I
found what I was looking for. Screenshot after screenshot of pages from
the book. Jesus Christ there had to be at least a hundred different
pictures in here!
"Admiring the beauty that is moi?" Mason had appeared behind me and I
hadn't even noticed.
"What is this dude? Why all these pictures of the book."
"It's pretty obvious isn't it? To have a "copy" of it of course. Now I
didn't get all the pages unfortunately but I did get the majority. Plus
I made certain I got all the goods spells first," he explained matter-
of-factly.
"Hasn't this book gotten us in enough trouble already?"
"Look man, we're in this situation not because the girls screwed up or
anything. Hailey made this happen and it was out of our hands and look
where it got her. We're grown men, dude. I think we're smart enough to
handle a few spells here and there. Plus, what's the worst that could
happen?"
"Famous last words...," I muttered to myself.
There was a light knock at the door, "Maddie, can I come in?"
In typical teenage fashion I rolled my eyes and exhaled, "That's not my
name but YES you may enter."
The door creaked open slowly and Zack slowly made his way into the room,
"Sorry, Maddie usually gives me grief when I come in her room
uninvited."
"Well seeing as it's Ryan's room now I'm sure he wouldn't mind the three
of us hanging out in here. Just like old times," Mason smiled. Zack
laughed, but it was painfully clear he had to force it out. His eyes
seemed a bit red, as if he had been crying sometime earlier.
"I take it it didn't go to well with Bob?" I asked, fetching a tissue
from my nightstand and handing it to my friend-turned-mother.
"It wasn't terrible, per se. He took it as well as any man could really
after finding out he's been sleeping with a man the past few months and
who is now carrying his unborn child," he said choking back tears.
"Well when you put it like that of course it sounds bad," Mason teased.
"Dude, come on," I said.
"Sorry, just sayin is all," he tied his hair back into a ponytail. "So
what's the deal? Where is Bob now? I didn't hear gunshots so obviously
he didn't go crazy."
That made Zack chuckle a little, "He... he left.."
"Left? As in LEFT, left? For good?" I squealed.
"No, no, no, no. Well, at least I hope not. For now he's checking into a
motel."
"Well that's good, right? That means he hasn't completely abandoned us,"
Mason pointed out.
"Yeah," Zack sniffed. "I should also mention that Jess went with him
too."
"Dude, seriously? And Bob let her come with him even though he looks
like... well, a dude?"
Zack sighed, "One day Mason you are going to fall in love. And I mean
REALLY fall in love. And then and only then will you truly understand
there's more to it than just looks."
"Well that makes me feel better at least," I said. "If anyone can help
Bob through this it's his wife." Zack looked hurt by that comment and I
immediately tried to take it back, "I didn't mean it like that, man. You
know what I mean, right? Jess and Bob have a long history together. My
current form is proof enough of that. They just need some time alone,
that's all. I'm sure everything will be fine. Let's just give them a few
days."
Zack started crying for real this time and he ran over and picked me up,
hugging me a lot tighter than I would have liked. Fuck I really hate
being so weak. He pulled back from the hug and looked me in the eyes,
brushing the hair from my face, "You're right. You're always right!
You've always been the level headed one in the group."
I smiled, "Thanks man."
"What about me?" Mason asked.
"You were the 'air-headed' of the group," Zack joked.
"Not cool!" Mason jumped up and tackled Zack and I and we all toppled
over onto the bed. Our giggling and play fighting quickly escalated into
a pillow fight, with Zack having the unfair advantage due to his size.
While not all that much taller than us, he was older and had more muscle
on him, which he used to casually scoop up the tiny Mason under his arm
on several occasions and toss him on tot he bed.
"Dude, you've always been so much taller than me since we hit puberty. I
never in a million years thought I would ever be able to throw you
anywhere, let alone pick you up!" Zack was trying to catch his breath.
"Don't worry, I'll get my revenge. Maybe I'll switch you into Adam's
body and toss you around a bit. See how you like being small and weak,"
Mason laughed.
Zack's face went serious, "HAILEY ABIGAIL WILLIAMS! I will not have you
joking about throwing my youngest child around like some sort of a RAG
DOLL!"
I think my heart had actually stopped for a brief moment as I sat
frozen, the bed still bouncing up and down slowly. My mouth agape I
watched as Zack glared down at Mason with a look that burned with fury.
"I...I.. I'm sorry," he stammered. "I was just... I..."
Zack stared long and hard until after what seemed like an eternity,
burst out into a fit of laughter, "Holy shit! You should have seen your
faces! Oh my god that was priceless! Now that is something I could get
used to doing."
Mason exhaled, finally able to breathe again, and while he tried to
laugh it came out as a mere whimper.
"Alright, you get major props for that one. You definitely had me going
too," I said.
"What's going on? I heard yelling," we all turned to see Adam standing
in the doorway.
"Oh I'm sorry sweeite, were we too loud. Here, let me get you back to
bed and we'll go downstairs so you can get some sleep," Zack slipped
back into 'Mommy Mode' as he scooped up Adam in his arms and carried him
to his room. Mason and I exchanged glances and figured that was our cue
to head downstairs.
----------
Mason ran down ahead of me while I changed into my nightie. It's late
enough as it is and I'd might as well be comfortable, right? Although I
was wearing panties, the breeze up my nightie as I flew down the stairs
felt as if I had on nothing at all. Which in theory, I guess was right.
Panties aren't exactly the undergarments boxers are.
I reached the kitchen to see Mason pouring himself a glass of orange
juice. He looked adorable using Adam's stepping stool. While it wasn't
necessary, it did give him a bit more of an edge when it came to pouring
drinks. Glad my new body has at least a little bit of height to it.
After he put the orange juice down he reached under the counter and
grabbed a bottle of vodka which he proceeded to pour into his glass.
"What the fuck are you doing, man? You can't drink that. If we're seen
with that we'll get in trouble," I whispered, rather loudly I might add.
"Relax, Bob and Jess are gone, Maddie's passed out on the sofa, and the
only adult 'on duty' is our best friend," he pulled his pink bendy straw
out of his mixed drink and ran it across his soft lips.
"Can you please put that away? This doesn't feel right. I don't wanna
get yelled at again," I could feel my heart beat picking up again.
"What, when he yelled upstairs? Dude, he was fucking with us," he took a
big gulp out of his drink. "Just because we look like children doesn't
mean we actually are."
"I dunno, I think I'll pass on this one," I picked up the vodka bottle
and quickly screwed the cap back on. The faster I got rid of this the
better.
"What do you two think you are doing?!"
Too late.
Zack stormed into the kitchen and snatched the bottle out of my hand,
"Are you fucking kidding me, Ryan? You would really do that to a 13 year
old's body like that? That's my daughter!"
Now it was my time to stammer while Mason watched on with glee. I had no
idea what to say. Hell, I didn't even do anything! It was Mason, not me!
But every time I tried to open my mouth to protest Zack would shut me up
and tell me to listen. I stared daggers in Mason's direction and he just
casually sipped away at his drink. Zack was none the wiser.
He started to wrap it up, "Do you understand? Thing's can't be the way
they used to. I am now your mother and you are my daughter. I know this
is going to be tough to get accustomed to but that's the way it is. Your
body is under age and I don't care how old you are mentally. As long as
you are under my roof, and in MY daughter's body, you will behave as
such."
Wow. My eyes started welling up with tears. Are you kidding me? Am I
gonna start acting like a child too?
"Oh honey, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you like that," he rushed
to my side and started hugging me, gently stroking my hair which felt
very comforting. That I could get used to.
"I'm sorry Zack. I don't even know why I'm crying. It's not cause you
yelled, well, at least not all of it...," I trailed off. "I've just
felt, emotional lately and the thought that this is how things are going
to be from now on scares me. I mean look at me! I'm a fucking child!
I've gotta go back to school soon. I'm starting all over again but this
time I have these," I grabbed at my boobs.
"Listen, this is hard on all of us. But I can assure you, as someone
who's already been in this situation a lot longer than you have, that it
gets better. It gets easier. And think of the positives, man. You just
gained like ten years of your life back. I lost ten! You get to start
all over. Nobody ever gets a chance like this. Ever. You have to embrace
this. There are plenty of people who would kill to start over again," he
said, lightly brushing my cheek. "And you are so beautiful. There are a
lot worse bodies to be stuck in that Madison's."
I smiled. He was right about that. I may look like a child but I have to
man up. I didn't ask for this but wallowing in my own self pity isn't
going to get me anywhere. I'm surrounded by people who care about me,
who love me. We've been in each others lives for decades and now here we
all are together, though in very, VERY, different forms. Zack caught a
glimpse of Mason drinking his beverage and walked over to scold him
while I pulled up at kitchen stool and leaned my dainty elbows on the
counter. I watched as Zack's grabbed the glass from Mason's hand and
took a whiff of it's contents, his arm flailed upward as he berated the
small girl in front of him. I couldn't make out what they were saying.
Even though I sat and watched my ears drowned out all sound and my mind
started to wander. A smile crept up my lip as I watched Mason try to do
the puppy dog face but in my mind I was picturing Zack, the real Zack,
at age 8 yelling at Mason for ripping his Batman comic book by accident.
The glass of orange juice reminded me of the lemonade stand we had as
kids and Mason got half the kids on the block on a sugar rush after
dumping half a bag in the pitcher. I stared at the apparent teenager
arguing with the motherly figure and remembered all the times our
mothers yelled at us for the childish pranks we would pull. Memory after
memory came flooding back of all the fun we had together growing up. The
scene playing out before me was reminiscent of Jess yelling at Mason for
going through her panties drawer.
Heh. That makes sense now. The thought of Jess yelling at Mason for
putting on her panties was enough to throw me into a fit of giggles and
suddenly my senses became aware again and Zack spoke, "What are you
laughing at? Can't you see I'm disciplining your friend here? Christ
Mason, you and Hailey could be siblings."
I couldn't stop laughing, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Just watching you
guys.... I can't even..." I caught quick glimpses between my half
closed, tear soaked eyes of the two of them staring at me dumbfounded.
Even on Hailey's adorable face Mason's typical "What the fuck?" look
shone right through. While I gasped for air they both started chuckling
themselves. Most likely due to how silly I looked at the moment coupled
with the ridiculousness of our situation.
"If you girl's don't stop making me laugh I'm going to spank you and
send you to your room!" Zack jokingly threatened. Mason and I got wide
eyed and let out a long "Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh, Mommy's angry!"
That was the kicker and we all erupted into laughter that could have
woken up the entire neighborhood.
I caught my breath for a moment and was finally able to get a full
sentence out, "Oh my God you guys, this is unbelievable. You have no
idea how much I needed that. Just watching the two of you go at it like
that reminded me of all the times we used to have. Honestly, I'm
petrified about my future. This is not going to be easy but dude,
seriously, I have my two best friends with me and I couldn't ask for
anything better."
"That was the cheesiest fucking thing you have ever said!" Mason said.
"But I agree. Maybe it's the booze talking but.... I love you guys!"
"And that's the last time you'll have booze for the next, what is it,
eight years?" Zack pointed out.
"Fuck that, I'm going to be a rebellious teenage girl. I'm going to do
all sorts of crazy drugs and have sex with strangers," Mason smirked.
"Thank the lord I inherited the reasonable daughter out of this. If I
had to be Mason's keeper I'd pack up and move to Mexico!" Zack said.
"He's lying, Mason would never do all that. I've noticed a change in him
since he gained Hailey's body," I said.
Mason hung his head, "Yeah who am I kidding? I don't wanna fuck up my
new life up. I could have something great as a girl."
"And on that note ladies, I think it's time we got our beauty sleep,"
Zack stretched his arms over his head.
"Awwwwww do we have to?" Mason whined.
"Yes, ya little brat," he winked. "I'm guessing you will be spending the
night this evening?"
"With all the craziness that happened over at the house tonight I think
it's best to let Kelsey handle things over there. She's gotta take care
of my new little sister," he warm smiled spread across his face.
"Do you think Hailey's going to be alright spending the night in jail?"
I asked.
"Tell you what, you girl's get ready for bed and I'll give Kelsey a
quick ring," Zack comforted. "I'll get the information from her and I'll
contact the police department and try and figure out what's going on.
Both with Hailey and her father. I've got quite a bit to talk to her
father about and you girls probably should be in the room when it's
happening."
The serious look on Zack's face was enough for me to scamper my cute
little behind up the stairs. Mason followed suit and we headed to my
room.
----------
"Ouch! Fuck... me," I hissed as a grasped at my ankle as I sat on my
bed.
"With pleasure, but unfortunately I don't have the right equipment at
the moment," Mason gave me a sly look.
"Pervert," I rubbed my ankle. "It wasn't feeling that bad until I ran up
the stairs just now. God I'm such a pussy."
"Indeed," Mason said, rummaging through my new dresser for some sleeping
attire. He settled on an over sized Justin Beiber shirt which after
slipping it over his head came almost down to his tiny ankles. "Wowza!
Who knew they made Beaver shirts this big. This looks like it's for a
300 pound man!"
I had my nightie on but removed my panties. My favorite part of bed time
was the feeling of soft, cold sheets rubbing against my hairless legs
and the empty space in between. I threw up the comforter and hopped onto
the mattress. Mason stood at the foot of the bed staring down at the
floor then up at me. He gave me a look I couldn't place at first, until
I remembered my old dog would stare at me the same way when he wanted
approval for hopping on the bed.
"Really?"
"Please, I don't want to sleep on the floor."
"Uggh, fine!" I threw the comforter up and he, also like my dog, happily
bounced onto the bed and threw the blanket over his petite frame. We
both lay there, facing each other, staring into each other's eyes.
"You're my best friend, dude," he whispered.
"I know, man," I grinned. "I know."
----------
I awoke the next morning with feet in my face. Mason's to be exact. He
was sprawled out on the bed, head hanging off the edge. It's a miracle I
wasn't tossed onto the floor during the night. He was always a kicker in
his sleep. There was a loud bang on the door and Adam screamed, "Get up!
You gotta come downstairs!"
I hopped out of bed and looked through vast selection of clothing I had
to choose from. Feels like a tube top day, today. Kinda feel like
showing of "the goods" a bit. And since I was in a daring mood I pulled
out a tiny denim skirt. "Why not?" I shrugged.
As Mason and I descended down the stairs we stopped dead in our tracks.
Hailey, looking like she had been through a night of hell, sat on the
couch. Her hands in her lap in a very calm manner. We didn't budge.
Mason even latched onto my side for protection. She hadn't notched us
yet but I had no plans on moving until Zack came in from the kitchen and
saw us standing there in fear.
"It's O.K. you guys, you can come down. Hailey wants to speak with the
two of you," Zack gestured for us to come down.
Madison followed behind Zack with a tray containing glasses of orange
juice and a plate of bacon, "We thought you 'girls' might be hungry so
Zack and I made some breakfast. There's pancakes in the kitchen for
later." The way Madison was carrying herself made me feel more at ease,
a grin plastered across her face in a very caring, motherly, sort of
way. Mason looked up at me with worried eyes but I just nodded and we
both made our way down the stairs. Madison sat down next to Hailey while
Mason and I took the chairs opposite them.
Here we are, sitting across from our old bodies. The bodies we've
inhabited out entire lives but will never once inhabit again. We've
spent about a week in these bodies, spent time with the girls in ours,
but with the vacation now coming to an end seeing ourselves in this
situation made my stomach churn. I glanced in Mason's direction. He
couldn't take his eyes off his old body. Hailey just stared at the floor
with her hands clasped together but Mason continued to watch her. He
didn't look mad, or sad. There was just disappointment in his eyes.
Hailey had done a number on his body and in the span of a week she
looked as if she aged his body several years. Madison was having a hard
time looking in Hailey's direction at all. She slowly nibbled on a piece
of bacon to keep her self busy during this long, awkward, silence. Zack
pulled a chair over to join us, "So, Hailey, is there anything you'd
like to say to the boys?"
Hailey clasped her hands even tighter which made some of the veins on
her arms pop out and she inhaled. Right as she was about to speak a few
tears started trickling down her cheek, "I'm so sorry." She still
couldn't even make eye contact with us. Did she even really care what
she did to us or is she just apologizing because she's being forced to?
"Hailey, I know you have more to say than that. Spit it out," Zack said.
Hailey's face got beet red as she erupted into a fountain of tears, "I'M
SORRY, ALRIGHT? I AM SO, SO SORRY."
"Let it out, dear," Zack encouraged as he placed his hand on her massive
shoulder.
"I didn't mean for it to happen this way. I really didn't. I just wanted
to get even with my dad. I was just so tired. SO TIRED of feeling so
helpless around him. I wanted to make him pay for what he did. I wanted
to make him see what it was like to be the weak one. To feel helpless,"
she explained through heavy sobbing. "It wasn't fair how he treated me.
I wanted an escape. I wanted to just teach him a lesson and run away.
Run away and never come back. But I couldn't do that as myself. I'm too
young. I'm not even really allowed to leave the neighborhood for crying
out loud!"
"Deep breaths," Zack said.
"When I found out about the book I knew it was my ticket to freedom. I
knew all my pain could just go away and I could start over. When I heard
you guys were coming to visit I felt as if everything was falling into
place. If I could just use a spell to switch places with one of you I
could change my life. But the closer it came to your arrival the more
scared I got. I thought that maybe if I had a friend with me that we
could run off together. No rules. No adults. We could do anything! So I
tried Madison. My best friend. I tricked my own best friend into a new
life she didn't even want. Because I am selfish. I am a terribly selfish
person and I hate myself for it. I hate it! I don't deserve Madison as a
friend. I don't deserve anybody."
Hailey buried her face in her hands and sobbed uncontrollably. I'd be
lying if I said I wasn't welling up a bit myself. Madison stared at her
friend in disbelief. She was obviously speechless but she slowly inched
closer to Hailey on the couch and put her arm around her, "Shhhhhhhh,"
was all she could say. Hailey looked up into Madison's eyes. Everything
Hailey's said had hit me pretty hard and I knew she was being genuine
but that look she was giving Madison, that look right there, said it
all. All of it. She was truly sorry.
"I will understand if you never want to speak to me again. Honestly, you
have every right to hate me. Fuck, I would hate me so much right now."
Madison finally spoke up, "Hailey, listen. While I don't think I can
ever completely forgive you for what you did to me. To ALL of us," she
gestured at Mason and I. "But I'm not going to stop being your friend.
It sucks that we're in this situation but I think right now we need each
other more now than ever. I had a long talk with my mom last night. My
real mom. She's said she's going to make this as easy as possible for
us. She's here to help. The boy's bodies have to be back home in Jersey
soon for work so my mom is going to come with us. She'll live with us
too. She's been a boy now for months so I think if anyone can make this
easier for us it's her. Plus, it's my mom! So we're not going to be
alone. It's gonna be scary but for right now we have to focus on the big
picture here."
Hailey dried her eyes with her wrists, "I'm so sorry Maddie. I really
am."
"I know you are. We're gonna be O.K, O.K.?" Hailey just nodded. Madison
gave her an awkward hug while Mason and I watched. Finally Hailey made
eye contact with me.
"Ryan, I..."
"Don't Hailey. Just don't. Just sit there and listen to me, alright?" I
was feeling pretty big right now and I could tell from Hailey's eyes she
was feeling particularly small, given our difference in actual size. "I
can't sit here and lecture you on what you did. You know you've done
something terrible and I can see that you absolutely regret everything
that you've done this past week. But this isn't something I can just
brush off like it's nothing. I know you had a rough life but to steal
someone else's? That was your answer? You were being abused so you
thought it would be O.K. to have someone else take that abuse for you
instead? Does that seem fair to Mason? Cause it doesn't seem fair to me.
You have NO IDEA how lucky you are that Mason loves being in your body.
This could have gone a lot worse for you had he not. But for him, this
is a blessing."
Mason gave me a warm look and I continued, "This is the happiest I've
seen my best friend in well over a decade and he has you to thank for
that. But I'm not as forgiving as the others. Madison and I were caught
up in this unfairly and because of your mistake we are both paying for
it. You took my life away from me, Hailey, and that's not something one
easily forgets. However, the more time I spend in Madison's body the
more I've become accustomed to it. While I don't exactly relish the idea
of starting my life over as a girl, the proverb 'don't look a gift horse
in the mouth' also springs to mind. As I had already mentioned how
unbelievably lucky you are Mason is enjoying this, but also the fact
that with Zack and Jess both involved as well, the transition into our
lives has become that much less of a burden. Jess will go back to Jersey
with you and help you become adult men while we both have Zack here to
take care of us. I feel that without their involvement we would have had
a much larger crisis on our hands. But somehow the God's smiled down on
us. I'm not a religious man by any means but I'll take that as a good
sign."
Hailey sat there for a moment as she digested my words before speaking
again, "I agree with you. 100%. But if you don't mind I'd just say one
thing real quick if that's alright?" I gave her a slight nod and she
continued, "The past few days my mind has really been putting me to the
test. With each passing day I get more and more used to Mason's memories
as if they were my own and feel like an actual adult. I'm sure Madison
has been feeling the same way. I didn't really know how to handle it so
I embraced it. But when I got scared that I was losing myself, I would
drink. Sitting in that jail cell last night gave me a lot of time to
think. For hours I stared up at the ceiling, thinking of all the events
that transpired this whole week. As I sobered up and my mind became more
clear I took a good look over everything I had done. What seemed like an
absolutely brilliant idea seven days ago just looks incredibly ignorant
and selfish to me. In such a short period of time my mind has 'grown up'
so to speak and my actions leading up to now seem, well, childish! I've
become sort of my own worst enemy in my mind. Mason's memories helped
shape me into the adult I appear to be. Of course, this doesn't change
ANYTHING that I did to get us in this situation but I hope it gives you
some insight on what's going on in my head. Like a child who
miraculously grew up over night and then scolded herself for her very
own actions. It's weird I know, and kinda hard to describe, but I just
felt you needed to hear that. If anyone is truly beating themselves up
about this, it's me."
I did understand but for different reasons. While her mind has
progressed, mine has regressed. Things that I loved to do as an adult
seem boring and stupid. It's not a drastic change or anything but enough
that I've noticed things here and there since taking over Madison's
body. So I can totally see her looking back on the actions she carried
out as a child and completely regretting every detail involved.
This whole thing makes my head ache.
"So what do we do now?" Mason asked, breaking the silence.
"Hug it out?" Madison quipped.
Hailey chuckled, "As lame as that sounds, I think a hug would feel
really great right now."
I crawled out of the chair and approached my former body, tilting my
head upwards to meet her eyes. Madison bent down gently to wrap her arms
around me. Mason had taken a different approach and excitedly rushed
Hailey, jumping right into his arms and locking his tiny legs around his
former waist. Hailey spun the two of them around several times, Mason's
long, golden hair swirling. I couldn't help but smile as I watched the
two of them until Madison grabbed my chin and forced me to me her gaze
once more.
I started tearing up again, "I don't want you to go."
"We're always going to have each other, O.K.? It doesn't matter how far
away I am. I will always be there for you, understand?" Madison said.
"I should be saying that to you! Not the other way around," I sniffed.
"I dunno, just seemed like the 'adult' thing to say," she winked.
"Do you promise we'll still web cam as often as we always did?" I asked.
"I dunno," she said unconvincingly. "I might be pretty busy with work
and all and you're going to have a lot of homework to do."
I groaned, "Don't remind me!"
I caught a glimpse of Mason whispering into Hailey's ear and she smiled
and nodded, "Understood."
Madison and I joined the two of them, "What was that you just
whispered?"
"Why, whatever do you mean?"
"Don't be coy, I saw you whisper. Spill the beans, Mason!"
At that moment he did actually display a slight bit of shyness, "Yeah
about that. Do you, umm..."
"Do I what?"
"Do you think... that maybe... you could start calling me Hailey?"
I wasn't expecting that, "Sure buddy. If that's what you really want."
Mason smiled up and Hailey and she ruffled his hair and he nodded.
"Alright, Hailey...," I brought him in for a big hug.
"Thanks.... Madison," he whispered.

EPILOGUE: One Year Later
Dear Diary,
Welp, it's almost time for school again. Summer has been a blast and all
but I'm actually anxious to get back behind the desk and "learn." Or is
that re-learn? Haha, whichever! Last year I was totally nervous because
of the whole "man-trapped-in-teenage-girl's-body" thing that I had to
deal with but this year should be awesome. School is SO much easier
after having already been through it. I'm at the top of my class,
obviously, and my parents couldn't be more proud of me. If I play my
cards right by my senior year of high school I'll be able to take some
classes at the local community college which would be SO cool. High
School isn't like it used to be when I went before. Sure you had the
jocks, the geeks, the cheerleaders, and whatever, but popularity doesn't
seemed based on if you where a varsity jacket or a cheerleader outfit.
People are more accepting these days, which is a breathe of fresh air.
Even though I'm technically "The Class Brain" people are all super nice
to me. I think I owe that fact to the gorgeous body I received from
Madison. I definitely filled out. There's no denying that. While I could
have my choice of pretty much any boy I wanted (does that sound
conceited? Haha sorry!) I still choose not to have a boyfriend and
concentrate more on my studies. I do get certain urges around the boys
at school but I still don't feel comfortable pursuing a relationship.
The attraction is there but I'll deal with that when the moment comes.
"Hailey" on the other hand has done the complete oppo
"HEY! I see you typing about me," a voice growled behind me.
"You did? I'm surprised you were able to peel you eyes away from the
mirror long enough to notice."
"I can't decide which bra to wear tonight. Maybe I'll wear one of
yours...," she trailed off looking through my dresser.
"Just please return it this time! My mom keeps freaking on me. She's
tired of taking me shopping every other week."
"That reminds me! I got a new app for my phone that's like a notepad so
I can leave myself reminders," she explained, looking around my room for
his cell. "Oh yeah, I left it downstairs. Whateves."
"Don't 'whateves' me, just try and remember please?" I sighed.
"I will, I will, don't get your panties in a bunch or do I still have
those too?" she said seductively.
"Ha ha, very funny. Are you almost ready? I wanna get the hit up the
Food Court real quick while we're there."
"Yeah, I'm ready. Is Bob going to be shopping with us again this time?
We had so much fun!"
"I don't think my dad will intentionally swap bodies with my cousin
Kimmy again. That was a fluke and you know it," I said.
There was a knock at the door and Adam and Hailey's sister, Amanda,
poked their heads in, "Whatcha dooooin?"
"Nothing ya brats, go away," Mason hissed.
"But we want to go to the mall too!"
"Amanda, I told you no. I'll take you some other time. I've got an
important date this weekend and Maddie needs to help me find the PERFECT
outfit," Hailey had that dreamy "twinkle" in her eye again.
"But mom said she would take us to the park today," Adam said.
"I'm sorry buddy, I don't know what to tell you," I felt sympathy for
the kid. I really did. But the mall beckoned!
"MADISON! HAILEY! YOU GOT A SKYPE CALL COMING IN," mom had yelled from
downstairs. We both dropped what we were doing and ran down to the
office. There on the screen were Madison and Hailey, well, Ryan and
Mason now. Mason's old body had looked like someone out of a surfer
movie. Long blonde hair down to his shoulders and very, VERY tanned. He
loved showing off his body and almost never had a shirt on when we
chatted on web cam. My old body had never looked so good. I had to hand
it to Madison, she did good. Her hair was short but styled with light
product it and she wore a nice collared shirt.
"What are you girls up to? Looks like your ready to head out or
something," Ryan eyeballed us up and down.
"We're going to the mall to pick me out something to wear for my date
this weekend," Hailey gloated.
"That's fantastic!" Mason exclaimed, looking at the new Hailey in awe.
"I gotta say, every time I look at you I'm still amazed at how hot my
body became!"
Ryan rolled his eyes, "Yeah, well, get over it. How about you Madison?
Any boys in your life?"
I cringed a bit, "No, not really. Still doesn't feel right to me. I'm
not ready."
"Take you time sweetie, it's no rush. Who knows, guys might not end up
being your thing," Ryan said.
Hailey coughed, "DYKE."
"Oh shut UP," I said, hitting Hailey in the boob.
"Excited for classes to start up again?"
"Yeah, super pumped! I foresee another year of straight A's in my
future," I bragged.
"And I foresee Double D's in my future," Hailey had been playing with
her bosom behind my back.
"Well we just wanted to check in on you and let you know that Zack is
moving out soon. He's moving in with his new girlfriend!"
"That's awesome! We're so happy for him. Does my mom know yet? That was
her body after all," I asked.
"This is just between us for now. I think Zack is planning to tell
everyone in person when we come in to town next week," Ryan said.
"Oh cool. Well we won't say a word to mom. It's gonna be awesome to see
you guys again!"
"Oh, hey Hailey!" Mason pushed himself into frame. "Did you remember to
email me details on your dad? I got that raise I wanted so I can help
chip in for his living arrangements. It's not much but I've read his
letters and I can tell he's doing so much better."
Hailey responded, "Yeah, Kelsey said she had to go through a few things
first and then she's email them to you herself."
"Great. Thanks."
Ryan pushed Mason out of frame again, "So how's your little sister
doing?"
"She's well," I said. "I've been sleeping a bit better now that she
doesn't cry every night. I hate that the nursery is so close to my
room."
"Well you just be a good older sister to her, O.K.? Don't let Adam pick
on her," Ryan ordered.
"I promi--," I was cut off my a loud scream.
"HAILEY ABAGAIL WILLIAMS!" it screamed. The tone of voice was definitely
my mom's but the voice itself...
The door kicked open and there stood Adam holding Hailey's cell phone,
"HAILEY! How many times have I told you to delete those screenshots from
your phone?"
Hailey looked down at the apparent little boy, "Oh shit, sorry dude!
Hey, at least you get to be a boy again for awhile.
"Do you think that's supposed to be funny? Now I have to spend the next
5 hours as my own son while he's off running around in mine. Without a
TOP I might add. I'll never be able to catch him!"
Hailey and I tried to hold back our giggles but mom noticed, "I don't
know what you're laughing at. The mall will be closed by the time we
change back. You girls are stuck here for the evening."
"No! This isn't fair!" Hailey cried.
Adam, in Jess' body, came barging in the office with no top on. Both
hands cupping his new breasts. He saw Ryan and Mason on the computer
screen and acknowledged them first, "Hey former sister! Check out what I
got? They wouldn't take me to the mall so now NO ONE is going. That's
what you guys get for being mean to me!"
Adam ran out of the room but quickly snapped back and snatched the phone
out of Jess' hands, "I'll take that! I think it's time Amanda got to be
daddy for awhile! Then it will be early bed time for all of you!"
"Noo!!" Jess screamed and ran after her old body.
I let out a huge sigh, "Well, I guess we're gonna have to let you guys
go. Looks like our Friday night is officially booked."
"Yeah, probably a good idea. Hope you guys get everything worked out,"
Ryan said.
"It's not like this is the first time Adam's done this," I explained.
"I'm getting used to it."
"Have a great night you guys and we'll see you next week!" Both the guys
waved, rather flamboyantly, at us through the web cam.
I looked over at my best friend, "You ready to do this?"
"I'll go hide the booze," Hailey said.
I was about to turn off the computer monitor and follow Hailey when a
new email popped up on the screen. It was from Ryan so I sat back down
in the chair and opened the email titled "NEVER FORGET." Attached was an
enormous jpeg file. I clicked the link and up popped a collage. Featured
prominently up front were two beautiful pictures. One of myself from
many years ago with a young Madison sitting on my lap. The other was of
the two of us hugging as we said our goodbyes the day he flew back home
last year. Scattered around the border were tiny pictures of the both of
us, some of Hailey and Mason, in various periods of times. Some we're in
our old bodies, some in our new ones. This wasn't the sort of collage a
teenage girl would make, no, this was an absolutely gorgeous work of art
that moved me to tears.
"That's fantastic," Hailey's voice came from behind, startling me. She
leaned over me, resting her chin on my neck and her arms in my lap.
"It is, isn't it?"
She kissed me on the cheek. "Come on, sweetie. Let's go help your
family."
""My family," I repeated. Just saying it out loud warmed my heart. "My
family..."
THE END
