Hillary rushed into her brothers room in a panic. "Harold you have to
help me, please. I, I don't know how I did it but I have two babysitting
jobs tonight."
"Yeah right, like I know you just want to go out with What's his face,"
Harold told his sister.
"No seriously, I know you wanted to go out tonight. But I have two
babysitting jobs. The O'Leary's and Mrs Stanton," she informed her
brother. "Look if you fill in on one of them you can keep the money, I'll
even let you pick and keep whatever you want from my closet."
Harold turned around at his desk. "Really? Anything I want?"
"Anything! I know how much Harriet wants to get out tonight." It was a
Friday night and school was a real torture for Harold. The twins had been
close all their lives.
Although their parents were both loving and understanding of Harold and
his desire to become Harriet, they still insisted that he remains a boy
until the summer began. For Harold the summer before had been like a
dream come true when his parents found him and Hillary dressing up.
They'd accepted it, allowing him to explore all summer long.
But when school started and it was clear that his dressing up and
becoming their second daughter wasn't just a teenage fad, they said they
would help. But he had to go to counseling during the school year and go
to school as a boy until the next summer. Then if he still wanted to be a
girl they would get him the needed documentation and he could begin his
transition.
Here it was only the fourth week of school, and already he was miserable.
He hadn't had a chance to become Harriet outside of home since school
started.
Hillary went to her closet and came back with a pair of pretty four inch
open toe T=strap heels that she knew Harriet had been dying to wear since
she'd bought them two weeks earlier.
"Harriet, do this for me and these are yours, along with whatever else
you choose to wear with them," she tempted her twin.
"I get the lingerie too, and I do Mrs Stanton's, her two kids are easy to
watch." He knew that if he did a really good job the woman would usually
ad a huge tip on top of the pay for babysitting.
Hillary bit her lip a moment before saying, "Deal, I'll call her and let
her know you'll be there."
Taking the heels from Hillary's hand, she dropped her voice into Harriet
mode. "No since Mom and Dad are out tonight, I think Harriet will do this
babysitting gig." She waltzed into her sisters room heading for the
dresser.
"Har, Harriet, are you sure about this? What if Mom and Dad find out?"
Harriet flipped her long black hair back over her shoulders. "They always
say they support me, they understand and just want me to be happy. If
that's true they won't get mad." She began stripping in front of her
sister.
"Geez, you are so not my brother, you know that?"
"That's right, and as far as Mrs Stanton is concerned, I'm your sister.
She's never met Harold."
"What? No way, you filled in for last March," Hillary said.
Harriet reached to the back of her sister's panty drawer and pulled out
the padded panty Girdle she'd worn the last time she filled in for her
sister. Hillary just stood and watched as Harriet pulled them up her
smooth shapely legs, pausing to tuck her overly small penis back into the
crotch before pulling them the rest of the way up. When she turned to

Then she hurried and picked out a matching blue satin and lace trimmed
bra and panty set. As soon as it was on she hurried to her own closet and
reached up to get the breast forms her mother had gotten her for her
birthday in June.
"You know if the girls could see you now they'd not believe you were a
boy," pointed out Hillary.
"That's because I'm not a boy. Not in here." She held her hands over her

"You realize I just bought that set and haven't worn it yet, don't you?"
Giggling Harriet went to the closet, quickly selecting a crop top and a
short pleated grey plaid skirt. She held it up looking at it then put it
back, and grabbed the one in blue. She laid them out on her sisters bed
then sat down in front of the vanity and started on her makeup after
putting her hair up in loose pigtails.
Seeing the look on her sisters face she asked, "What?"
"When did you get so good at makeup?"
"Oh please sister. Like I have anything else to do at night after
homework. But then you're always out having fun with friends." She added
the jibe to make Hillary feel guilty about abandoning her at home. "I'm
sorry Hill, that was catty and mean."
Hillary giggled, "It's ok. Maybe it's that time of the month for you
too." Which explained why Hillary wasn't going out with her friends to
boy shop at the Mall.
The two hugged. Standing up Harriet said, "Sit, I'll help you with your
face. I saw you looking at my eyes."
"Where did you learn to do that?"
"I watched Mom doing hers since I'm not allowed to be Harriet until
summer starts again."
The two sisters began getting ready helping each other out and talking
about girl stuff. When they were both ready they grabbed their purses and
started for the door. Both sitting jobs were within walking distance of
the house, just different directions. They kissed each other's cheeks as
they hurried toward Hillary's babysitting jobs.
Standing on the front porch Harriet rang the bell. Mrs Stanton took a
long look at the girl standing at her door. "Harriet, come in girl. I was
expecting your sister. But it's always nice to see you."
"Thank you Ma'am. Hill forgot and booked the O'Leary's tonight too. so I
said I'd come and sit for you."
The woman chuckled. "A wise choice. Those kids are out of control over
there."
"Do they still have the same bedtime?"
"Yes Sweetie, 8PM. And there's a Cherry Pie in the fridge and help
yourself. Chrissy's lost a tooth, so if I'm not back in time, I left a
Dollar bill for the Tooth fairy in the top of bread box."
"You just have fun, and don't worry if you run late. I'll be sure the
tooth fairy makes her visit." She smiled.
Chrissy and Tammy were both happy to see Harriet. They greeted her with
hugs and began telling her all about their summer. And why didn't she
come over more often, she was much more fun than her sister.
They watched two Disney movies together, and played games and then at the
precise time they went without argument and got ready for bed. After
tucking them in Harriet went to the living room and took her copy of Teen
Vogue out of her book bag, tucked her legs up under her on the corner of
the couch and began reading the articles. By ten she'd moved on to
Glamour, after reading the LHJ that was laying on the coffee table.
With a sigh she stood up stretching, smoothed out her skirt and walked
quietly to the bread box and retrieved the dollar for Chrissy's tooth.
Smiling she took out another dollar from her purse and added it to the
one in her hand. Then she went into the room and carefully found the
tooth hidden under the pillow, making the switch.
As she turned around she gasped in shock. "Wh, who are you. Please don't
hurt the kids."
The young woman put her finger to her lips, as she held out a Dollar bill
to her. Then made a motion with her fingers over the sleeping girl.
"Wait, I know you. I've seen you before," Harriet said.
"Yes you do. Do you remember when we met?"
"You're Talia, I was five, and you gave me two Dollars for my Teeth."
"Yes," said Talia. "And do you remember the other thing I told you that
night?"
It came rushing back to her as she began to remember the events. She'd
lost both her front teeth at the same time. and she'd been crying because
she just knew that they wouldn't grow back. And she wouldn't be as pretty
as her sister. And then she'd felt something under her pillow and grabbed
hold of it. it had been Talia's hand with two dollars for the two teeth
she'd lost.
Seeing the remembrance Talia said, "I've come to grant that wish I
promised you. That's why I made sure that you would be here tonight." She
turned and motioned to someone in the hallway.
A much older woman floated into the room, a warm smile on her face. "I
see what is in your heart Harriet. You are the first girl to catch one of
my own Daughters in the last three hundred years, and I've been watching
you." She winked. "Now close your eyes and say 'I am a girl'."
Harriet closed her eyes thinking she was dreaming all of this, just like
the last time, but she went along with the dream and said the words. "I
am a girl".
She felt something like soft and powdery drift down over her, then a soft
kiss on each cheek. "And So you are child." She opened her eyes as the
two figures turned and vanished into thin air.
She saw the clock on the night stand, it was past midnight. "You're
delusional girl," she thought to herself as she returned to the couch and
her magazine. As she sat down she was aware of how uncomfortable her bra
felt. She looked down at her chest for the first time to see it had
doubled in size.
"What the heck?" she asked herself reaching up under her top. The motion
pushing her breasts together and the two forms fell out of her bra. She
began to hyperventilate. "Breath Harriet, breath," she told herself as
she ran to the bathroom.
Standing at the sink facing the mirror she pulled the top over her head

"A Faye dear. As are Chrissy and Tammy. I'm sure you have a million
questions," said the woman as Harriet began putting her bra and top back
on.
"If you're a what did you say, Faye, how is it that you live here? why
not in the Faye world?"
"Not the usual first question, but a very intelligent one. Chrissy and
Tammy's father was a mortal man. And so this house was created to give us
access to our world as well as his own."
"Victoria, I'm home," came a call from the doorway. "Oh hi there," Mr
Stanton greeted Harriet. He certainly was handsome she thought, realizing
that she was the only one in her family to ever meet the man.
"John, this is Harriet, the girls favorite sitter," Mrs Stanton
introduced them.
"I see by the sparkles your mother has been here," he said. "So what did
you think of Giselle?"
"G, Giselle, as in the Queen of the, the Faye?" stammered Harriet. "She
is so beautiful, Sir."
"As are you, I wouldn't be surprised if you found yourself being courted
by some very dashing young men. I hope you'll get to come to the Winter
court, it is truly dazzling."
"H, How would I get there?"
"Oh I almost forgot, here this is for you." He fastened a little silver
charm bracelet around her wrist. It was filled with little silver baby
teeth, incisors, molars, the whole works. She looked at it mesmerized.
"Yes that is a charm that will allow you to enter into the Faye World."
She giggled. "And all this time I tried to avoid the Dentist." She'd just
realized who John Stanton was. The local dentist.
He crossed to the clock on the Mantle above the fireplace, and started
the pendulum swinging again. She noticed it had stopped at Ten PM. "Don't
worry you've been standing outside of time. If you have and problems at
home just say, "I AM A GIRL," advised Victoria Stanton. She handed her
sixty Dollars. "We'll watch over you until you are safely home," advised
John.
In a daze Harriet carried her book bag and purse as she crossed the
silent street and turned toward her own house, seeing her sister hurrying
toward her headed for the same destination.
In the driveway Hillary said, "We have to hurry, Mom and dad will be home
any minute." She kept looking at Harriet, something was different about
her.
When they reached her room Harriet sat her book bag down and it fell
over, spilling the contents across her sisters left foot. Hillary looked
wide eyed at the breast forms. Harriet didn't say anything as she started
getting ready for bed while Hillary picked up the forms and just looked
in disbelief at her Sister.
Harriet was in her own little world, happy and bubbly as she giggled
removing her bra to let her breasts hang free. Hillary's jaw dropped
open.
Then she turned to her sister after stripping off her skirt and panties.
"Can I borrow a nitie tonight, Sis?"

"I met the Tooth Fairy again," she answered nonchalantly. "See, I told
you wishes can come true."
"Mom and Dad are going to freak out. Heck I'm freaking out. I mean it's

"I know isn't it wonderful, I can't wait to get my first period. Then
I'll know it isn't just a dream." She kissed her Sister and went to her
own room.
Sitting cross legged on her bed, she closed her eyes. "Thank you, I will
do everything to live up to whatever challenges, or plans you have in
store for me."
She lay down and went to sleep hoping that she wasn't just dreaming it. I
wonder what Mom and Dad will do on Monday when they find out that I'm not
wearing forms. She giggled half asleep, what will they do at school when
I show up instead of Harold.
Accustomed to seeing her as Harriet on the weekends, her parents didn't
notice at first when she sat down still in the borrowed nitie at the
breakfast table.
When she sprinkled artificial sweetener on her Grapefruit though her
mother asked, "Harriet, how did you get your forms to look so real?"
Her father looked up from his paper at her.
Hillary giggled. "They are real Mom."
"Excuse me, I thought you just said your..... sister's breasts were
real."
"They are Daddy, the Tooth fairy gave them too me," Harriet informed her
parents.
"Sweetie those don't just grow overnight, what did you do?" asked their
Mother. "Did you sneak out and get Implants?" their parents were upset
and confused.
Hugging her sister tightly, Hillary said, "Why can't you believe her.
She's a real girl. She always has been, but you haven't seen it." She
began to cry.
"Hill, I know you wish it to be true," began their father.
"I AM A GIRL," shouted Harriet. And it seemed like time just slowed down.
There was a knock at the back door and Hillary ran to answer it.
She returned wide eyed following Talia, who made a gesture in the air and
her parents unfroze.
"I believe the two of you are doubting your own daughter. Very well, my
name is Talia, my job is Tooth Fairy. But I make other wishes come true
for those deserving. I granted, or rather my Mother granted Harriet's
wish last night, a wish I've waited ten years to fulfill," she told the
couple. "All that you need do is believe in those around you, and open
your heart as well as your eyes. Trust her to be who she truly is,
instead of questioning her. Take them both out today and celebrate their
birthday together. The rest will work itself out." With that Talia kissed
all four on the cheek and left.
"Th, that was, was a Fairy," stammered their mother.
"Not just any Fairy mother, that was The Tooth Fairy. The one I told you
about when I was five."
"And we laughed about it," admitted her father. "Can you forgive us for
not believing you?"
She rushed into her parents arms, her sister joining in the family hug.
"You two have a birthday on Monday," said their Mother.
"Can we celebrate today, instead?" asked their Daddy. "You know kind of
like start over equally since you're twins."
Giselle, Queen of the Tooth Faye sat in her royal chamber and smiled,
"They're going to be just fine Talia. And to think children all over the
world have forgotten that you can wish on a tooth just as easily as a
falling star."
