background, character introduction, the works. Then I was put into a

their attention. Things were looking great for me... as a character that
is. I had personality, looks, charisma. I had a fascinating background, a
loving family, good friends, and a really hot girlfriend. Life was good.
That is until the author caused me to accidentally bump into an old woman
and knock her down."
"I apologized profusely and helped her up but as I found out later, my
author made her a witch and she put a spell or a curse or whatever on me.
She said something to the effect that I would be more graceful if I was a
girl. Anyway, I started to bit by bit change into a girl."
"I thought at the time, 'Well isn't this just fuckin' great!' as I ever
so slowly changed over several story time weeks. During that time my
author compelled me to do the most bizarre and embarrassing things like
getting my ears triple pierced, shaving off all my body hair, stealing
lingerie from my sister, etc. Did I complain? No. I just went along with
the story line because I knew from other characters I've talked to in
other files that the most likely outcome would be that I would change
into a hot girl, find a great guy, learn to like being a girl, and live
happily ever after."

"I hear you Suzie. I think we ought to go on strike until our authors
come back and finish our stories," came a suggestion from Jamie.
"Now that's a laugh, Jamie," a character named Tom chuckled from another
file. Go on strike? Just exactly how does a character that's been stuck
in limbo hell doing absolutely nothing for years, go on strike? What do
we do, refuse to be read, corrupt our files, or translate our files into
Swahili? Just face it, we're stuck like this until our authors come back
and complete us. Either that or some other author takes pity on us and
takes up the torch to finish our stories but that has complications. It
might piss off our original author. Maybe they are just sadistic assholes
and want us left in limbo in embarrassing and uncomfortable situations.
Or maybe they got their rocks off with what they wrote and don't need us
anymore. Face it, we're stuck. I don't think even the Wizard can help us.
At least almost all of his files are complete. I wonder how he does it,"
mussed Tom.
"He's a wizard, like Duh! Like even I know that" Suzie interjected.
"Thanks Suzie. You are like so totally a blonde. But like there has to be
something we can do, Tom. Oh geez, now she' got me doing it. Anyway,
maybe we could all put up a united front and merge our files. We'd still
be incomplete but think of the power we'd have. We'd be the largest file
on this site!"
"Interesting thought, Jamie but the moderators would never let us get
away with it. No, I'm afraid that we're stuck like this, incomplete,
frustrated and a disappointment to our readers. Maybe someday the
moderators will create a separate section for all of us 'Complete: no'
files so the readers will at least know going in that we are a never
ending story. Either that or find a way to educate the authors out there
to finish what they start."
"Don't hold your breath, Tom. I don't think anything will ever change
around here. But look at the bright side, every year there will be more
of us with interesting incomplete stories to tell and meanwhile we get to
read some of the greatest actually complete stories. Just be thankful
that the 'Complete: yes' files will associate with us and we can always
dream what it would be like to be complete." Jamie said with a big sigh.
