"It's quite alright, Hal," Lady Ravenshield smiled. "My husband just
wanted me to check up on his prize."
"I'm afraid I can't open this door... I mean, milady. The lord's orders
were very strict," Hal stammered.
"Oh, you silly boy. So faithful and so noble." Lady Ravenshield grinned
and walked in closer.
Solkah had hoped that the guard would simply let lady Ravenshield inside,
but at least the disguise had allowed her to get close, and his guard was
definitely down now. The noblewoman pushed closer to the guardsman, her
body smelling faintly of musk carried over from the earlier sex act with
the lord of the manor. The guard blinked and went slightly pale, unsure
of how to react. This only provoked the lady to step in closer and pull

dashed inside. The gallery was dimly lit by the last embers of the sunset
which threw crimson and blazing orange rays over large, majestic
paintings and full-length tapestries. Glass cases held curiosities and
odd statues from long-fallen empires cast weird shadows in the dying
light. Lady Ravenshield ignored all these treasures, however, dashing as
quick as she could over to a large pedestal in the far end of the room.
Carved from white marble the pedestal was ornately carved and topped by a
perfect square case. Stepping over the red rope cordoning off the
pedestal, lady Ravenshield stepped up to it and studied the contents of
the case closely. Lying serenly on a crimson pillow inside was a fist-
sized sigil made from some manner of silvery metal, inlaid with almost
midnight black gems. The feathery writing and arachnid patterns covering
the edge of the sigil clearly showed that it was of drow make, probably
forged by a master smith of the Underdark. Lady Ravenshield smiled to
herself. Here was her prize, long ago stolen from Solkah's ancestors
during an incursion, it held a strange sentimental value to the drow
outcast. And soon it would be his.
One obstacle was still in the way, however. The case, which a casual
visitor might assume was made from brittle glass, was in fact made from a
very durable crystal, and locked to the pillar upon which it rested by a
mechanism that Solkah had not managed to figure out during his scouting.
But there was a solution. Raising her right hand, lady Ravenshield
extended her index finger and whispered a few arcane words. Tugging at
the finger with her other hand, it slid free of the skin as if it had
always been detachable, revealing one of Solkah's thicker fingers tipped
by a razor-sharp nail. Smiling, the lady began sliding the enchanted
fingernail over the surface of the crystal case, producing a faint
unpleasant screeching noise. Grumbling at the commotion, she hurried her
work.
After what felt like an eternity of fearing discovery, the part of the
crystal case that Solkah had been working on shuddered, and with a
determined expression the noblewoman balled her hand into a fist and
punched into the center of the cut area, aiming for a planned weak spot.
She neatly and almost painlessly punched a large square free of the main
body of the case, and then her anxious hand closed around the sigil. It
was cool to the touch, and Solkah felt an almost giddy rush. It was
almost unbelievable to actually possess it, after this long. But then she
broke free of her reverie and quickly jumped over the ropes again,
running towards the exit to escape with her prize.
Lady Ravenshield tore the door open, and was relieved to see Hal was
still slumped unconsciously against the wall. Grinning confidently she
tugged the empty, tanned finger back over the drow one on her right hand
and started down the corridor back towards the party area. Then she
froze. Coming from down the corridor was a commotion with someone
hollering loudly and the clank of arms. With a start the false lady
realized it was lord Ravenshield's voice, still sounding groggy.
Apparently he had woken early, and was now calling the guards. And the
person disguised as his wife would attract their attention instantly.
"Cursed man must have had a sterner constitution than I thought," she
grumbled.
Instead of running down the corridor towards the bedroom, from where the
noise was coming, the lady turned and headed down the other direction. As
soon as she calculated she had enough time she tried a side door, and was
relieved to find it was unlocked. Heading into a small bedroom not unlike
the one where 'lady Trask' and lord Ravenshield had copulated, she
quickly locked the door from the inside. This escape would require some
improvisation.
Undressing, the lady thrust one slender hand into her snatch, tugging and
searching. She didn't have much time before they discovered Hal's
unconscious body now. Pulling out Solkah's thick, erect dick, she began

the door and listened, but couldn't hear any immediate danger. She

down the stairs. When she was about halfway down she heard some very

approach. "Who are you and where are you going?"

"Oak? That buffoon already left at the first sign of trouble and
blustered about how he was summoning the city guard," the guard sighed.
"Oh? Oh no, please sir. Please let me go to him, he'll be so furious if
he finds out I got separated from him..." Solkah added a desperate tone
to the girl's voice.
The guards looked at each other and seemed to quietly try to decide if
the girl could be the thief they were looking for or not. However, even
they were clearly able to see that this was not Lady Trask. No disguise
could possibly be that good.
"Of course, girl. Go rejoin that old fool before he loses his temper."
The lead guard smiled, and they parted to let her pass.
Gasping a quick thanks, the girl dashed between them, past the now almost
deserted ball room and down towards the exit. She stepped into the early
night air, with the beginning trickles of moonlight illuminating the
large grounds of the Ravenshield manor as it stretched down towards the
river Mirar. Breathing in the chill evening air which carried with it the
tangy scent of the sea, the girl smiled a bit before continuing down the
gravel path towards the front gates, where she quietly slipped in among
the large throng of party guests waiting to be cleared for leaving,
making her way into the center of the group as unobtrusively as she
could. The nobles and merchants were all complaining very loudly and
making as much noise as humanly possible to show the guards their
unhappiness with the situation, and the guards were clearly quite fed up
with this thankless duty already.
As the time came for her to be inspected for possible identification as
the thief, the guard barely laid an eye on the servant girl. He chuckled
and waved her through, stopping a noblewoman right behind her dead in her
tracks and demanding she raise her veil to give the guard a good look at
her face. As the nobles erupted in another volley of surprisingly vulgar
curses, the girl slipped into the shadows of Luskan with a pearly
laughter. She dashed across the finely wrought flagstones through the
early evening, feeling the heady rush of freedom. Soon the skin of lady
Trask would be gone forever, joined by the empty skin of the lord's wife.
Solkah might weight them down and toss them in the harbor, where fish and
other ocean creatures would quickly destroy them. Or maybe he'd find
someone to wear the lady Trask suit and set them up as a scapegoat for
the crime. Someone who really deserved it, of course.
But first it was time to meet up with Solkah's conspirators in the plot,
get out of the servant girl skin and back into his own clothes, and then
escape Luskan before the dawn. With the sigil of his long-abandoned noble
house safely in his possession and nobody the wiser on who committed the
crime, Solkah truly felt like he could do anything. Just for that moment,
he was invincible.
And then the girl dashed down the street towards the harbor and was gone.
