Chapter one
Nikolai Petrov was spending the final day with his lost brother Walter.
They were raised by different fathers but they had the same mother. He
had just found his older brother within the last two years. It had been a
wonderful time for both of them. Walter helped Nikolai recover from the
abuse he endured by his step mothers games she played with him. Then he
recovered and they did all sorts of things together. But, everything has
to end. His brother was engaged to Melissa. Nikolai was eighteen and he
intended on enlisting in his nation's military. Sadly, he would not get
to attend the wedding. He would be going though boot camp at that time.
Nikolai and Walter decided to go see a show on their final day and then
perhaps work out together. They sat in the darkened theater as Nikolai
thought about his brother. He loved him. His brother was six years older
and he just met the man three years ago. His mother told him about Walter
and her relationship with George. He hunted the man down and found his
brother In Riga.
They spent the final few hours watching the show at the theater and then
they hit the Gym at midnight. Walter admired his little brother as he
watched the little man work out vigorously. He was tiny even for 18, but
he tried harder than anyone he ever met.
Nikolai showered and went to bed. He had to report at oh five hundred. He
had better sleep for a few hours.
The night was short but he was used to it. He woke up and reported to the
recruiting station. They took a buss to the base in Kirov. Nikolai was
shaved, processed, and within an hour found himself standing among a roll
of men as an instructor walked slowly among them carrying a staff and
closely inspecting the new recruits he would have to train to be part of
the military. Then they started. The Instructor ordered them all to do PT
immediately. 50 pushups within a 45 seconds.
Nikolai and another larger man were the only ones who could do it. A few
couldn't do that many pushups at all. Most were able but not in 45
seconds. The instructor angrily said, "To pass, you will have to do 50
pushups in 30 seconds. 100 in a minute."
Then, it was time to march carrying a full gear pack on their back.
Nikolai was able to march 5 miles with it. He was proud that he had got
himself into such good shape. That was an important part of him. He was
disciplined, and very fit. Despite his very feminine appearance but he
had his step mother to thank for that.
Most of the men were worn out by the time they reached the five mile
mark. The instructor said they would progress to a full 20 miles to
graduate. He thought he might have trouble marching 20 miles at the
moment. He would make it within six weeks.
By that time it was 10 pm, the instructor told them they could hit the
head and then sleep. Nikolai wasn't even tired yet but some of the men
couldn't go on. They marched, did workouts, pushups, more marching. Then
they did some obstacles.
Nikolai was awake at 5 am when the instructor rushed in yelling. They had
10 minutes to prepare for the day. He hit the head again and then
showered. The instructor was funny. The instructor told them they had ten
minutes to prepare. As it turned out, five minutes later the instructor
told them to assemble and prepare to march ten miles in the morning.
Within no time, Nikolai found himself marching with the other men for a
ten mile march. It was getting more difficult after last nights march.
His legs began to ach but he kept going. Nicolai found himself sweating
and fighting to keep up with the instructor. The other men were finding
it more difficult than he was. Some fell from exhaustion.
There was no rest after the march. The instructor announced it was time
for more PT. They had to do 65 pushups and twice the number of situps and
then they could have lunch. The lunch wasn't much but it provided the
fuel to continue the day. They did the afternoon obstacles. First was
running and jumping over logs, working the legs, crawling under barb wire
with a browning firing over them. Swinging from bars and not falling.
Nikolai did pretty good at that. They finished doing ten chin-ups on a
bar. Nikolai did them all. Some of the men couldn't do one.
That was pretty much the routine for the first two weeks and by the end,
he could march at pace for the full 20 miles. That was when they began
working on weapons training to become a real soldier. He received a
Kalashnikov model 74 to learn from. He inspected it, the instructor told
them how to take it apart, service and clean it. Load it and they had to
master that before they learned how to shoot it.
Since Nikolai was a fast learner, he mastered it within an hour. Then
they were taken out to the firing rang. It wasn't a very accurate weapon,
but good enough to take out most enemies. They trained in that weapon for
most situations from running, bayonet drills, pinpoint firing at targets.
And firing quickly with no preparation. That was usually what real combat
consisted of. They spent most of the week perfecting that. Then they
started using a sniper rifle and that was much more accurate but slow.
They learn all range of weapons from handguns, to rocket launchers and
RPGs to take out tanks.
Nikolai felt like a lethal warrior by the time they graduated within six
weeks. Then he was assigned to a squad and told they needed more soldiers
fighting in Chechnya. He felt afraid, it was now time for the real thing
with real enemies trying to kill him.
He had a few hours to get equated with his squad of 11 other men before
they were loaded on a AN 124 transport and taken to a base in Chechnya to
fight rebels. Would he measure up for the real thing?
The transport landed all 700 soldiers departed and he found his squad and
his CO as they prepared. The CO said, "I am LT Novek. There is a band of
Chechen militants overrunning the Town of Sadove. They are taking
hostages and killing civilians. Three other squads are going with us.
Lets go.
They left as Nikolai heard the blasts of heavy artillery firing from the
base. Even at the distance they were, It hurt his ears and caused a
concussion of air to hit them with every round.
They marched over and Nikolias squad was chosen to do patrols to find the
rebels. He knew it would be terrifying. His solders marching with him at
the flanks as they approached the town. They didn't get very close before
very they were fired upon. There were rebels on top of the buildings
scouting and began firing at them. Nikolai felt real fear as he saw
rounds racing toward them kicking up dirt around his feet. He was being
fired on. A few of the rounds landed very close to him. Then rounds began
finding its way toward him. That must had been someone with a sniper
scope aiming for him. It flew over his head and hit a tree behind him. He
huddled down as it looked like they were pinned down. Their CO called the
base for reinforcements. Luckily, it came in the form of a HIND gunship.
He watched the enormous helicopter head toward the town taking out
buildings with rocket fire. Its propellers kicking up dust hiding them.
The gunship fired again and again. It did more damage to the town than
the rebels. That made quick work of the snipers and they were able to
enter the town and liberate it. It was rough going from building to
building. Nikolai took many of them out and a few jumped him. He had to
employ his hand to hand. By the end of the day, Nikolai had several kills
and taken over a dozen prisoners himself. He received his first
accommodation.
By the time he had served six months, he had been in over twenty
engagements. He saved his squad a number of times. He had the highest
number of accommodations and even a promotion to staff sgt. doing front
line duty before he received orders that he was being transferred to an
elite Spitnaz squad. He was to report there for training.
The initial training was very grueling. He had to pass before he would
ever be accepted. He had to march over 30 miles and to exercises for very
long periods of time. He had to identify various weapons off hand, answer
more difficult questions and prove he would get along and work as a team.
Finally, he was allowed to join the official training as part of his
squad.
The obstacles were twice as difficult in this. There was a real danger of
getting badly injured or killed. They jumped over sharp objects. Men
attacked them with real weapons in hand to hand. If he missed a pary or a
block, there was a real danger of broken bones, shattered jaw or knee.
Maybe even getting shot. He learned to develop very quick reflexes.
The hand to hand was more intensive as they were often alone, working
without backup. Much of their work would be in close facing the enemy.
Nikolai was getting very tough and lethal. By 2 weeks in, he received a
promotion to an officer's rank. He would lead the squad.
Then, it get even rougher within the third week. The Instructor stood in
front of the few chosen officers and said, "Now, we will teach you to
resist capture, interrogation and escape. As part of a spatnaz, you will
be alone, in enemy territory. Capture is a serious possibility. You must
not break. We will teach you how to not break during torture."
Nikolai was put in various bonds, men would start striking him and he was
expected to take it or escape the situation. He was taught some basic
ways to escape handcuffs, ropes, other forms of bonds. He was strapped
and tied down to a chair and taught how to escape. Then, he was trained
to evade capture once he had escaped.
After the sixteen week course of advanced Spitnaz training, he was
commissioned as a full lieutenant in the military. Then, he was sent to
the Crimea peace keeping force.
Nikolai was now an elite paratrooper. He was dropped along the borders of
Sevastopol as part of a peace keeping force there. He served another year
there getting acquainted with working as part of a unit. He received even
more accommodations including the order of the lenin. He was now nineteen
when he got another transfer. He was told the Glavnoye Razvedyvatel'noye
Upravleniye had a special program for men like him. It was the GRU. He
was already accepted on the recommendation of his own step mother who
knew people in the GRU. The program was called operation Pink Rose.
He went to the main intelligence building in Moscow with several other
men. They sat there for over an hour until a nicely dressed woman invited
them in. She began the introductory lecture, "Welcome, gentlemen. I am
Madam Julie Chernov. I along with several other ladies chosen for you
will be your personal instructor. To put it lightly, you have no choices
from this moment on. You are chosen. Of course, you can fail and be
discharged. Lets hope it doesn't come to that. Im going to be blunt, you
have been selected to be elite agents in operation Pink Rose. That means,
you will become female agents within the Military Intelligence. We will
train you how to pose and pass as females. One thing needs to be clear,
we hate the word Sissy. You will not be Sissies. You will become lethal
agents who serve your nation. We chose to make a few chosen men, females
because females gain trust eager. They are misunderstood, men are more
likely to open up and tell us things. You will be selected for various
duties, intelligence gathering, assassination, Infiltration,
Interrogation and many other duties a foreign intelligence operative
does. You will be made into the most lethal agents the world has ever
known. Any questions before we begin."
Nikolai looked around, no one had a problem with it. He did but it looked
like his options were accept being feminized, or go to prison. His step
mother had kept him in a feminized state from ten years of age to
thirteen in which she sold him to another woman who made him live as a
full time girl and even went to high school as a girl. Things were coming
more clear to him now.
