A Step In Transition Part 2 - Enjoying becoming Nikki Nick rolled over in bed and opened his eyes. He slowly started to focus on the sunshine creeping through the window and began to remember a dream he had. Liking the way they looked, she took out the perfect eye shadow to match the color of the outfit Nikki was going to wear today. It was a peach color that she blended in with a medium pink. The effect even surprised Claudia how it turned out. Satisfied with her blending she took out a long mascara brush and gave her new sister some very curly lashes. "Now, the last thing we are going to do before you get dressed is to add some color to those very kissable lips of yours. So before you turn around to look in the mirror, tilt your head back so I can enhance your color." As Nick, now looking more like Nikki, tilted his head back Claudia outlined his lips with a soft pink pencil to give them more depth. A very pastel pink lipstick was then applied, filling out the outline. She then told her to put her lips together like she always saw her do and then take a tissue to dab away any excess. "Turn around, princess, and see how you look." As Nick turned to gaze in the mirror, there was not a male face that was staring back at him. What he saw was a girl with a towel wrapped around his head and chest with the most gorgeous eyes and lips he had seen. He tried not to show that much excitement but the towel started to rise in his lap and Claudia started to laugh as she knew he would never be the same guy she once knew. Beverly is looking forward to working with you. Let me call her to let her know you are here." Before they had a chance to sit down, a voice behind them rang out. The time was going by quickly when Beverly turned the chair around and, as Nikki watched; she began to put hair clips in while cutting her hair. When that was finished she turned the chair around once again and started to pull the cart a little closer. Nikki was daydreaming a little when she noticed that Beverly started to take strands of her hair and put some type of liquid on with what looked like a little paint brush. After every stroke she put some foil on her hair and wrapped each segment up. When that was finished she looked in the mirror and started to giggle because she thought that the reflection looked like a space alien. Beverly then took her off of the chair and led her over to a hair dryer. Nikki then sat down while Beverly told her she would be here for about 20 minutes and then handed her a copy of Elle magazine. "I thought you might like something to peruse through while the highlights are drying". So Nikki thumbed through the magazine, making mental notes about all the fashion tips and make-up hints. While Nikki went through the magazine she heard a little commotion in front of her. Another girl came up in front of her with a cart and a little stool. Beverly told me that you will be doing a pedicure next time so we will concentrate on your fingers today. I was told that you were to get the nails cleaned up and then put ? inch extensions on. So let's get started. Give me your right hand." Nikki put the magazine aside while Tanya began to work on her right hand. They had a very pleasant conversation while getting her first real manicure. Tanya let her hands soak in a warm bowl and then meticulously scrubber her cuticles. After shaping her existing nails she glued the extensions on, letting them set in for a few minutes before filing them to tapered look. Once both nails were finished she brought out a bottle of bright pink polish and put one coat on. After letting that dry she put another coat on and buffed out the shine after they dried. Nikki put her hands to her face and marveled at the way the simple task of shaping the nails made her hands look so feminine. She thanked Tanya and then went back to reading the magazine. When it was time to get up, Beverly came back and, after lifting the dryer off, Led her back to her station and started to take off the foils. Shen then combed out her hair and turned the chair around for Nikki to see. She was shocked at what she was looking at. There was no semblance of a guy staring back at her. It was a totally feminine looking hair style and if she didn't know that it was her, she would have thought that a young lady was gazing at herself. "So what do you think so far?" Nikki just stood there, looking in the mirror and turning her head from side to side. "If I didn't know it was me I would have thought I was looking through a window at someone else. " "Well, we are not finished yet. I am going to take you back to the cosmetology area where Lisa is going to give you a makeover and help you to pick out the right colors for you. So follow me sweetie and let's get you set up." There was another little room adjacent to the salon where Nikki looked in to see what appeared to be a lounge chair that tilted back and a table that had all different types of make-up containers on it. She walked in and saw another beautiful young girl standing off to the right. "Hi, I'm Kelly. You must be Nikki. Your sister was in here a few minutes ago and left me some specific instructions on what she thought might work for you. So just sit here on the chair and lean back." Nikki sat down very apprehensively, not knowing just what Claudia had told this girl about her special "needs" and what she should expect. Kelly must have been reading her expressions because she then chimed in. "What we are going to do today is to make sure that you are set with just what specific colors will work for you on your make-up. I will show you some tips to help you find colors that will work for you and what to do and not to do. If you have any questions during our time together do not hesitate to ask. Thanks Beverly, I think we are all set in here" So Nikki saw Beverly nod her head and walk away. She sat down in the chair and as she began to relax Kelly tilted the chair back so that she was almost lying at a 45 degree angle. Kelly said, "First we are going to work on your eyebrows. We'll do a little trimming and shaping to get started." While Nikki leaned back in the chair, Kelly began to spread something around her eyebrows. Whatever she was putting on felt a little warm but soothing as she closed her eyes and started to relax. All of that changed suddenly as she felt Kelly pull and pain shot through her face as she shrieked. Kelly just laughed and said, "I guess you didn't realize that sometimes we have to suffer a little bit of shock to maintain our looks. Don't worry, it will subside quickly." Once Nikki started to breathe again Kelly finished pulling the rest of the goo from her forehead. Taking a pair of tweezers she finished pulling a few stray hairs and then let her know that the hard part was finished. "What we are going to do first is to blend in some facial cr?me to match your skin tone. This will give your face a smooth look and take care of any rougher edges. Once that is done we will powder over any shiny areas to give you a natural glow. Everything thing we use here you will be taking home so you know just what colors will be right for you." When that was finished Kelly started to work on the eye shades. She started with black eyeliner and outlined the top and bottom lid. Noticing that Nikki had nice full eyelashes she decided to just use some L'Oreal mascara and brought out the length to give her eyes more pop. Since they used pink nail polish she figured to use two different shades of eye shadow and taught Nikki how to blend them in to give her eyes some increasing allure. Nikki was starting to wonder just how all of this was going to look and could she carry this off. Kelly said, "And now for the finishing touch I am going to give one more bit of instruction on making your lips more full. I am taking this lip pencil and drawing the outline as to where we want the lipstick color to fill out. Once I am done with this I want you to purse your lips together so we can take away any excess. Perfect. And now I am going to apply some lip gloss to make your lips look shinier and very kissable." With that statement she saw Nikki blush for the first time. She giggled and told her that would be when she was ready for a close encounter. When she was done, Kelly pulled the chair up and turned Nikki around to show her what was accomplished today. When she gazed into the mirror her eyes opened even wider. There staring at her was the image of her older sister as she was ready to go out on a date. Nikki tilted her head to one side and felt her hair brush up against her shoulder. She naturally puckered her lips, bringing another giggle from Kelly. "I told you that they would be extremely kissable. You are going to get a lot of eyes and whistles from the boys. Just don't start to tease any of them." Just then Claudia came around the corner with Beverly and saw her new sister. "Wow, Beverly, she looks gorgeous. Do you think we can get her away from the mirror now?" At that all three of them started giggling. Nikki turned and saw that Claudia was carrying a bag from a local shop that she did not recognize. As she was ready to ask her what was in the bag they were back at the reception area. As they walked to the front to pay for the session, Beverly turned to Nikki. "We are all so glad that you came in here today, Nikki. I hope that you are happy with the way everything turned out and that we will be seeing you again real soon." Claudia turned and said, with a wink and a smile, "I can guarantee that you have not seen the last of her." Nikki just turned and smiled and said, "Thank you Beverly and tell everyone else that I appreciate all their attention today." "You're more than welcome dear and if you would like we can set up another appointment right now for a few weeks from now." With that, they both made another date for a month from now to come back again. Claudia could see by the way that Nikki was carrying herself that there was no mistaking her for some guy in a skirt. She looked over at Nikki and noticed that she was smiling and very demurely lowering her eyes and then looking at the guys. She thought to herself, I'll bet she doesn't even know that she is flirting with them. "We have one more stop before we head back home. I think it's about time that my new little sis had her ears pierced." Nikki was so enamored at all the attention she was getting that she did not hear just what Claudia said. As she was about to ask her to repeat what she said, they were stopping at the jewelry store. Suddenly Nikki had a chill go through her since what they were about to do was something she had thought of but never attempted to do, since this was something everyone could see. Nikki was a little relieved that when they entered the store they were the only ones there. A woman who was very well dressed and whom Nikki thought was model beautiful looked up from the counter and smiled. "Hello ladies, how can I help you today?" Claudia took the lead once again. "Hi, I am Claudia and this is my little sister Nikki. She has never had her ears pierced yet so we thought it was time to come in and get them done." The sales lady looked at Nikki and said, "My name is Christine and I welcome you to our store. I am so surprised that you have waited this long dear. Someone who is obviously very fashionable and very pretty would have had them done a while ago. I can surely take care of that for you. Now what kind of posts would you like to start out with?" Nikki wasn't sure what to say so Claudia leaned over and said, "She is a little shy so I think we will go with the starter posts and maybe pick up a nice smaller earring to get her collection going. While she got off of the chair they all went over to the counter to pick out her first real pierced earrings. They settled on a small gold set that had a peace symbol on them. Nikki thanked Christine for all the help and she told them to come back anytime. "Just remember to take the posts out a few times and clean them with alcohol and put them back in immediately to make sure that the holes do not close back up." As the started to walk back to the car Nikki turned to Claudia and said, "I know that we have gone a lot further with this than I ever imagined." As Claudia was just about to answer she heard a male voice from behind. "Hello Claudia, fancy seeing you here." Claudia and Nikki turned around to see a client of Claudia's business, Mike Ballard. "Hello, Mike. What a surprise to see you here. So, what are you shopping for today?" "Yeah, I'm just looking for a few things. So what are you doing here, and who is this with you?" Claudia turned to Nikki and said, "Mike, this is my sister Nikki. We are out for a special salon day and getting her ears pierced. We've just been having a blast today." Mike looked over at Nikki. "It is so nice to meet you, Nikki. Your sister is very helpful when there are problems that arise and I always look forward to her visits. It was nice to meet you Nikki and hope to see you again real soon." As Mike walks away, Nikki turned to Claudia. "What was that all about? Wanting to meet for drinks with another man, and me looking the way I am." Claudia looked back at Nikki with a stern look in her eyes. "Now, listen to me real good. You told me that you would be willing to do anything if we kept this little thing going and I think that this is the perfect time to find out just how much of a girl you are. With all of this flirting you have been doing and the way you are conducting yourself there is no doubt in my mind that you are going to enjoy yourself going out somewhere besides shopping as Nikki. Now I don't want to hear anything else about this for now, since I have another little surprise for you when we get home." The thoughts in Nikki's head are feeling like everything is jumbled, since she knows that she is enjoying the attention she is getting. Claudia is so right about that. But there are also waves of fear and anxiety about someone else finding out about her little dalliances with dressing as a woman and slowly feeling like this is more natural that being a guy. She was pretty quiet all the way home as Claudia continued to instruct her on some ways she could carry herself more convincingly. When they pulled into the driveway Claudia made sure that she watched the way that Nikki got out of the car, remembering to swing her legs out together and bending her knees so that she put them out and stood up all in a smooth motion. Claudia smiled, knowing that Nikki is starting to do things in a more natural way. They went into the house and Nikki headed straight for the bathroom. While she was in there, Claudia made sure that the new twist in her new sister's growth into womanhood would have one more big twist to it. "When you are done sweetie, would you please come into the bedroom?" "Ok," came the reply. She exited the bathroom and saw Claudia standing in the hallway. "I know that there have been some new things that you are constantly learning, making sure that you are understanding just what women go through daily. I can see that you are not tiring of everything we are doing, so I have another surprise for you. Sometimes in a girl's life there are certain things that she wants to strive for, not only for herself, but to impress others around her. I think now it is time to take another step to feel just what it was like for me growing up. Come on in with me." As they walked into the bedroom, Claudia turned and pointed to the bed. "Here is your next step to helping you reach every young girl's dream." Nikki turned and looked at the bed and gasped. She then put her hands to her mouth and thought she was going to let out a scream.
