Chapter Thirty-Two
Tom was almost catatonic as he followed Yvonne up to the front of the
salon. She had him sit down in the styling chair furthest left of the
entrance on the window side. This meant that anybody walking by could
see as he was getting his ears pierced, but fortunately they would not
be able to see his face. Yvonne then opened up one of the cabinets below
the window and pulled out a Studex System 75 ear piercing tool and two
single use vinyl gloves.
"You don't need to worry Tiffy." Yvonne reassured him as she rubbed her
hands with sanitizer before donning the vinyl gloves, "This system is
very sterile and almost painless. You will hardly notice it."
Tom just nodded his head in silence, still too stunned to do anything
but just sit there and wait for the inevitable. Yvonne then wiped the
front and back of both of his earlobes with sanitizing wipes and used a
Studex marking pen to mark two spots on each lobe after slightly turning
his head to make sure she had them lined up properly.
Yvonne then peeled off the blister pack of a cartridge containing a
7513-0300 4mm titanium ball earring and loaded the cartridge into the
piercing instrument. She then lined it up with the upper mark on Tom's
right ear.
"Your owner let me pick which earrings to start you out with and I
decided on these for several reasons. First off, maids do not wear gold.
I think gold would just clash with your uniform, not to mention that it
is a symbol of wealth. Who ever heard of a rich maid?" Yvonne chuckled.
"Second, I do not know if you have any allergies or sensitivities to any
metals, and titanium is one hundred percent hypo-allergenic so you are
in no danger of any sort of reaction to the metal. Not sure what other
kinds of reactions you might get where your piercings are concerned."
Tom knew from the smirk on Yvonne's face that she was referring to how
people would react when she said this and felt himself die just a little
more inside.
"And finally," Yvonne said. "I know that you have another job that will
be impacted by this sudden change in your appearance, and I think that a
simple metal ball will help mitigate the difficulties you will now have
to face with your employer. As bad as it will be having to explain these
simple earrings, just think how much worse it would be if I gave you
something with more bling or pizazz. At least these are business basic,
so maybe your boss is okay with these." With that comment, Yvonne
squeezed the handle on the Studex instrument and pierced Tom's ear.
Tom was expecting a loud pop followed by a sharp pain, but was surprised
that neither happened. There was no noise and he just felt a slight
pressure against his ear. Tom thought that maybe he was too numb to
reality, and that his mind must have shut out the pain and noise. After
all, didn't piercing guns just shoot a hole in your ear? Or maybe it was
all just a giant mind game that Princess Dee had set up?
Yvonne then pulled the instrument down away from Tom's ear and he could
see the now empty cartridge. No, it was not a mind game after all.
Tom raised his arm to try and touch his ear but Yvonne yanked it down
and told him not to touch. She then put the blister pack back on the now
empty cartridge and removed it from the Studex. She loaded another
cartridge and in quick succession gave Tom his other three piercings.
After putting the device away and disposing of her vinyl gloves Yvonne
handed Tom a bottle of after-care product and told him to wait one day
before using it and then to use it twice a day on both the front and
back of the piercings. She told him to not touch his ears until after he
thoroughly washed his hands, and that he should make half turns in both
directions when he used the after-care product to help aid in the
healing process. She then told him that no matter what, he should not
remove the earrings for at least six weeks.
"Six weeks?" thought Tom, "What the hell is my boss going to say?" He
knew that his employer had a no facial jewelry policy and that people
who had nose, eyebrow, or lip piercings had to cover them up with a
bandage. Tom always thought this was a stupid policy as it made people
look like they had sores or wounds instead of a simple fashion
statement. Earrings were okay for both women and men, but all the men he
knew at work only had one ear pierced; not both, and certainly none of
them had double piercings. He knew immediately that he would be frowned
upon, especially since he was supposed to set a standard as a manager.
Well, at least as Yvonne had said, they were basic; so perhaps it would
be okay. If not, Tom wondered how stupid he would look with bandages on
both of his ears.
Tom was so distracted that he didn't even hear the door open. It wasn't
until she spoke that Tom was aware of the new woman standing with
Yvonne.
"Well, I see our little sissy maid actually showed up." said the new
woman. "And it looks like you've already started on his transformation."
"Yes I have," said Yvonne. "You are just in time for your turn at him.
Sissy meet Jackie our esthetician. You have her to thank for the
circumstances our customers will believe led to your employment here,
and in a few minutes you will also have her to thank for your new
eyebrows."
Tom was again taken aback. Nobody said anything about new eyebrows, but
he was to cowed to stop what was happening or even try to argue the
point. He watched as Jackie opened up a drawer in the booth opposite
him, and pulled out a spool of thread.
As Jackie approached him, she broke off a length of thread and tied the
two ends together. "Try to relax and not move too much Sissy," she said.
"I am only going to clean it up a bit for now, unless you move and cause
me to miss my line. Then I will have to fix it and match the other
brow."
Tom watched mesmerized as Jackie wrapped the thread around her index
finger and thumb, twisted it over making a bow-tie shape with the
string. She then leaned in to place the thread along the brow close to
his nose. Tom could not see the hand movement Jackie made, he just
inhaled sharply as he suddenly felt several hairs get pulled out by
their follicles. After Jackie repositioned the string and made the same
maneuver several times, she spun Tom's chair sideways allowing him to
see himself in the mirror.
"Better?" she asked him.
Tom turned his head from side to side as he looked in the mirror. He had
to confess it did look better. He was expecting something very feminine,
but true to her work, Jackie had just cleaned them up. Tom didn't have a
mono-brow, but it was close. Now however, he had two distinct eyebrows
with a defined edge. All of the stragglers had been expertly removed by
Jackie, and yet somehow they still appeared fairly masculine.
"Yes, they are better. Thank you," Tom heard himself say out loud.
"No problem," said Jackie. "We will shape them a little more every
weekend. That way it is gradual so you don't totally freak out your
employer by going in to work on Monday with your pierced ears and
unmistakably feminine eyebrows. But don't you worry. By the time your
piercings heal in six weeks, you will have very sexy eyebrows that most
women would pay big money for, and it won't cost you a thing more than
your manhood and working here."
"Now, we don't have time to do your makeup today," interjected Yvonne,
"and I still need to get you a wig for your big debut next week. So
let's get you to your work station for this weekend. Shall we?
With that, Yvonne and Jackie helped lead Tom back to the laundry room.
In quick succession they showed him how to operate the washer and dryer,
how many towels or robes could be washed or dried at a time, what
detergent and fabric softener to use, how to clean the ling trap, and
even how to use the little plastic folding tray to properly fold the
towels and robes.
"Okay Sissy, just stay here and do each load. By the time this first one
is done, you will have plenty more to do, and we will bring them to you
throughout the day. However, just in case there wasn't enough for you to
do; we also left you all the laundry from yesterday as well." Yvonne
said as she pulled over a rolling cart that was full to the top.
Tom looked around the room for a place to sit as he knew it was going to
be a very long day as he waited for each cycle to end. "Where do I sit?"
he started to ask. But before he could say anything Jackie grabbed him
by the hand and pulled him over to the far corner of the room away from
the cabinet countertops he thought he might be stuck sitting on since
there was no chair in the room.
"This is your spot," Jackie smirked as she positioned him into the
corner. "This is where you will be when you are waiting between loads.
Maids do not sit while on duty, so I expect you to be standing here when
you are not busy. And since we could walk in on you at any time, you
best just remember that if you don't want us to tell Princess Dee that
you were disobedient."
Tom just moaned and stood there as Jackie and Yvonne left the room. This
was going to be a very long day indeed.
