Kevin walked home, dejected, fed up and with some degree of trepidation.
If he could have turned the clock back a few hours his life would not be
about to end as he knew it. Even better if he could have turned it back 6
months ago, before his selfish sister had decided to take a once in a
lifetime job opportunity as a personal assistant to a rich woman off on a
round the world adventure. Life was good before that. Just the two of them
living in a house in a neighbourhood they had grown up in, friends they
knew from childhood, places they knew well. A school where he managed to
get on without being noticed, achieving just the bare minimum to avoid
showing out as either a brain box or s dunce, life under the radar. He
couldn't help his rather weedy physique, a sort of nerdy attitude to games
and more manly pursuits so chose to just bob along trying not to show out
as being slightly different. He had friends who shared some of his hobbies
and activities and fitted in with the group well, none of them excelling
at anything. Selfish Sally had taken over responsibility for him when
their parents had moved to Australia to expand their business overseas
with the promise of newfound wealth and happiness. Like all fairy stories
it wasn't quite as easy as it had seemed to be but things were looking up,
orders coming in and the pot of gold was very slowly being filled up.
Another couple of years and they could return to the Uk and live happily
ever after. I did say it was a fairy story. But that left Sally, his
sister promoted to guardian of her 16 year old brother, perhaps not the
wisest choice on their parents behalf but needs must and the deed was
done. Whilst a very capable 22 yr old even her eyes were opened by the
ridiculous salary offered to her for what was only a few months away. Well
a few months in her eyes but a lifetime as far as Kevin was concerned. The
choice was simple, change schools and go to a boarding school which his
father thought was an excellent idea." Make a man of him" at last, had it
too easy at home, looked after by his Mum or sister, no sense of
responsibility or ambition. It didn't do me any harm when I was his age he
proudly boasted. Luckily for Kevin his Mum had a slightly more balanced
attitude to his future and wellbeing with perhaps the insight to know that
he would find it difficult to say the least, to exist in the macho world
of boarding school. Without a plan "B" it seemed that Selfish Sally would
have to forego her experience on how the other half lived until a flash of
genius struck her. Mummy, if I was able to get Tricia to agree to look
after Kevin whilst I am away would that satisfy you? She is older than me,
lives with her younger sister and works at the bank in town. You know
Tricia, you always said she was such a nice girl and why couldn't I behave
like her. I am sure she would be absolutely perfect as a sort of foster
Mum for a while and its only a few months after all. Using all her charms
of persuasion Selfish Sally's Mother finally agreed on condition that
Tricia would take on the task and a suitable financial arrangement could
be worked out.
Perhaps the distance between them had made Selfish Sally's mother forget
how manipulative Sally could be when it came to getting her own way. Maybe
her memory had faded slightly on how the two girls had behaved when
younger with Tricia's looks managing to lead one to think she was the
perfect little Angel when in fact it was her who led the two of them to
stay out late, start dating, try the odd cigarette or drink. How she
dressed and behaved when in parents company and how she and Sally went
about when they thought they wouldn't be seen was another matter. Whatever
the reason all Sally had to do now was to convince Tricia to take over
responsibility for Kevin for maybe a term..or two and the world was her
oyster.
Oh to have been a fly on the wall for that conversation. Sally asked,
pleaded, begged and finally resorted to blackmail to get Tricia to agree.
Sally was the only other person apart from Tricia herself and the staff of
a certain abortion clinic that knew of her visit there when still at
school. Without Sally's emotional and financial help at her hour of need,
life may have been very different for her now. To have become a Mum would
have changed her life dramatically at 17 but with Sally's help and
support, life had gone on and she had never looked back. With promotion
looming at the bank she did, she supposed actually owe Sally quite a lot
and allowed herself to be talked in to having Kevin stay with her and her
younger sister for "A few weeks".
Which is how Kevin ended up staying with Tricia and her younger sister
whilst Selfish Sally was away. It was bad enough not to be in his own
house and having to move the couple of miles to stay in theirs but it was
smaller, further to go to school and Caroline was such a stuck up Bitch to
make it even worse. "Whilst you are staying with us I know I will have to
have some contact with you at home but if you dare to even pretend to know
me at school I will make your life hell. You may think that as a 6th
former now you know it all but you certainly don't and I don't want you
trying to act all pally with me and my friends. I have no wish to
socialise with you and would be grateful if you would keep yourself and
your nerdy friends away from me and my girlfriends" and with a carefully
calculated toss of her hair she left a slightly stunned Kevin wondering if
her 17 years had matured her that way or whether it was just that was how
girls behaved. Hmm, perhaps I had better give her a wide berth he thought
and listened intently as Tricia had explained how she expected him to
behave at "their" house and what was expected from him in the way of
behaviour, chores etc. It worked fine, they all lived together under one
roof but leading different lives. Tricia left before they went to school
and returned after they got home. Caroline walked to the bus stop and met
her friends and the witches coven all sat together discussing their latest
spells, clothes, boyfriends and whatever else crossed their simple minds.
Kevin was quite happy to either sit at the back of the bus with his
friends if it was raining or use his bicycle on nice days. The advantage
of using a bike was twofold. He could to school and home quicker than the
bus and he discovered perhaps the best reason of all when he locked his
bike up in the school bike shed. If you put your bike in the very end rack
nearest the wall there was a hole where the galvanised sheeting had rusted
away a little. Being a typical inquisitive adolescent boy he just had to
see what was the other side of the wall. Oh MY! I have died and gone to
heaven he thought as he looked straight through into the girls gym. Like
most schools at that time boys and girls had separate gyms for exercise
with gender appropriate equipment and layouts. The boys having football
pitches and basketball court lines on the floor and the girls netball and
badminton markings. The windows were all high enough to admit light but
too high to allow any observation short of using a ladder. Whilst this
hardly mattered to the boys, girls being of more delicate and shy nature
preferred to exercise in the comfort of knowing they could not be seen
except by other girls so there was no embarrassment of their clothing or
what exercises they were actually doing. The very fact that the girls
could not be seen gave them a false sense of security and their movements
and manner of behaviour was one which whilst perfectly modest and
acceptable in female company would clearly be a source of huge
embarrassment if they knew any boy had seen their physical movements.
Obviously the changing rooms at the other end of the gym could not be seen
but even so Kevin was convinced he had just found the Nirvana for all
adolescent boys. The opportunity to see them in their short PE skirts,
leotards and whatever else they wore to carry out PE in. This was without
doubt his lucky day and he began to work out a suitable plan to enable
himself to be able to see all the feminine delights.
Like all schools, a register was taken at the beginning of the day to
check who was and who wasn't at school with absence being reported to
parents so a day skiving off was out of the question. That left somehow
managing to escape from a class whilst the girls were doing a PE lesson
for enough time to enable him to slip down to the bike sheds and take
advantage of his secret observation hole. He worked out that as a sixth
former now he had a few "free study "periods which allowed him to either
use the library or a classroom for quiet individual study. Perhaps the
school may not have approved of his choice of study material but it would
be an opportunity for him to see just what the girls did and how they were
dressed in the gym. Whilst telling his form teacher he would be going to
the library he also told the teacher in the library that he would be in
the classroom therefore creating a situation where he wouldn't be missed.
Perfect! What he really wanted to see was Carolines year doing their PE as
they were the eldest and were the most physically advanced with real

were never going to be doing PE whilst he had free periods. His own year
being one below Carolines would have been second choice but that didn't
work out either so it was a matter of Hobsons choice. He would just have
to go and see what year and who was in the gym and what they were doing

were barely developed at all and really little girls still so crossing his
fingers he slipped out of the building and round the back to the bike
sheds.
With nobody around he quickly made his way to where his bike was parked
and squeezing between his bike and the wall got his eye to the hole and
peered in. Oh Joy of Joys! The 5th year girls were engaged in various
activities throughout the gym. Some were playing netball in short skirts
and teeshirts, some in leotards doing some sort of ballet exercises and
some on the trampoline. He watched in rapture as girls jumped and bent
over whilst running in netball. Glimpses of gym knickers as skirts flew,

strained to get a better look as she squealed each time she bounced up as
girls do. A muted cacophony of girlish speaks, giggles and chatter escaped
through the hole capturing his attention. Had he not been concentrating so
much on the noise and the activities he could see and hear through his
peep hole he may have heard the distinctive sound of a bicycle being
pushed into the bike shed but his attention was elsewhere. The first time
he was aware of somebodies presence was when a pincerlike grip got hold of
his ear and hauled him away from his spy hole and turned him to face them.
He was held most securely by his ear by Zoe, Carolines bestest friend who
whilst holding him tightly, peered through the hole to see what had
captured his interest so completely. " You disgusting pervert" were the
first words out of her mouth as she dragged him away from the hole and out
of the bike shed away from the buildings. " Just you wait until the
headmaster hears about you you creep. To think I have been in the same
house as you with Caroline. I bet the only reason you have been there when

Kevin turned a ghostly shade of white as the magnitude of his acts and the
likely outcome of a visit to the Headmaster to be exposed for a peeping
tom slowly dawned on him. Unable to help himself he dissolved into floods
of tears whilst Zoe still held tightly to his ear and began to lead him
back towards the school buildings. As the bell sounded for the end of a
lesson period and the start of lunchtime. " I can't believe you would do
that, what will Caroline say, the shame of being in the same house a s a
pervert" as her mind worked out the possible repercussions for her best
friend. The sudden thought of how this would affect Caroline gradually
dawned on Zoe as she imagined Caroline being ostrasized by her schoolmates
and the effect it would have on both on Caroline and herself. The loss of
her best friend was unthinkable to her or the hurt it would cause Caroline
to know that it was her that had been instrumental in this outrage

Suicide now before the shame can get me.
With the simplicity and experience of youth it seemed the obvious solution
and the computer in his mind now began running through the various methods
that he could employ to carry it out. Tablets, a rope, run in front of a
bus, leap off a cliff, jump in the lake........ The when and where of it
were now forming part of the equation when he glimpsed a more frightening
sight bearing down on him. An ashen faced Caroline strode towards him with
a steely expression on her face until she stood right in front of him with
piercing eyes cutting straight through him. " I want to know now, exactly
what you have been doing and when , how many times, who with, did you take
pictures, why?" Having just regained his composure and ceased to cry, the
onslaught of Caroline was too much for him to cope with . His onboard
computer in his mind shut down completely and he just started to sob. He
felt his knees start to buckle and was about to collapse in a heap when
Caroline hissed through gritted teeth " Don't you dare embarrass me here.
Follow me" and began to walk away accompanied by Zoe who had a sort of
worried look on her face as they walked to a quieter spot away from too
many others and sat down on the grass. " So lets have some answers pervert
before we go and see the Headmaster, I want to know the whole story from
the beginning" Caroline demanded staring at Kevin as he began to sob once
more. " For Gods sake , turn around so you are looking way from the
school, I don't want anyone to see you crying like a child" an exasperated
Caroline told him as he fought hard to bring his sobbing, tears and voice
under control. Slowly and in tiny bits he began to tell Caroline and Zoe
what he had been doing and how it started. Under intense questioning he
told them everything from beginning to end. His mind gradually starting to
function again as he relived every moment from the discovery of the hole,
his careful planning , the actual escapade itself to his capture and
exposure by Zoe. " If I hadn't had a Dentist appointment today I might
never have caught him at it" Zoe exclaimed, so proud she had captured the
sex offender. " That and using my bike today so I wasn't too late.
" I can't believe you did it Kevin, its so bloody stupid, they will
probably expel you for sure."Caroline gradually began to regain some
control over her anger as she thought through what Kevin had admitted to.
" Kevin, I need to know if that is all you did. Just the once? Nobody else
knows about the hole, what can be seen through it? Did you....did you play
with yourself? Is that what it was all about?" The shame of his admission
of what he had done and now Caroline asking if he had "Played with
himself" brought some colour flooding back to his previously pasty face
turning it a bright red very quickly. " No...I didn't , honestly, I was
just looking" muttered Kevin acutely aware of his embarrassment in front
of Zoe as well. This appeared to satisfy Caroline for a moment as she
thought about his answer" Were you going to?" followed quickly as her line
of questioning was developing into her obvious preconceived knowledge of
young boys. " No! I wasn't honestly , I was just looking" he blurted out,
realising what she thought he may have been doing. Caroline accepted both
his answer and the realisation that this whole situation was something she
couldn't deal with herself and what Zoe had said about the effect this may
have on her had made her question the wisdom of reporting this straight to
the headmaster. "Stay sitting there perve and don't move, Zoe and I need a
chat" as the tow girls rose to their feet and walked a few yards away to
discuss the conversation and what to do about it. Kevin sat stock still
like a condemned man awaiting his executioner, unable to think clearly,
just aware that his fate lay in the hands of two teenage girls who had the
power to destroy him
" Right perve, listen carefully. I am not going to tell the headmaster
...yet. I can't even think of what to do or how how to deal with somebody
as creepy as you are, peeping at girls that way. So, we have decided to
wait until Tricia comes home and we will tel her and let her decide" a
slightly calmer Caroline told him, backed up by a solemn looking Zoe. "
for now, you don't go anywhere near the bike shed, you leave your bike
there and walk home. The less opportunity you have to oggle girls the
better. Understand perve? When you get home don't you dare come anywhere
near me, just go to your room and wait for Tricia. Do I make myself
clear?" A clearly emboldened Caroline instructed Kevin as the power she
now held over him began to gradually dawn in her mind. As he allowed his
eyes to raise themselves from the ground he became immediately aware of
the tiniest of smirks on both Zoe and Carolines faces as they felt how the
situation had developed. " And apologise to us both now" Zoe instructed
him wanting to get in on the action.
Kevin's grovelling apology was cringe worthy of the lowest of the low and
with a backward stern glance the two girls walked away talking quietly
together leaving a severely chastened Kevin to make his way slowly back
into school.
Which brings us back to where we started with Kevin walking slowly slowly
home from school, wishing he could turn the clock back a few hours.
