Bowled Over

Part Seven
She winked as she walked past him, holding hands with Ricky after he
helped her on with her coat as they headed to the car. He hated the idea
of leaving his house like this, but it couldn't have felt worse than
having his family stare at him like they were. When it came to the
situation he had put himself in, his mother took no sympathy in his
angst, becoming more serious about him living up to everything he
committed to, as she helped him on with his sister's white fancy coat.
He knew she wasn't wrong, but that didn't make any of it feel any better
as he sat in the back of Norman's father's mini-van, having his hand
held by his goofy date. It was quiet on the ride there, with the radio
playing as Norman was fairly shy and Brian just stared out the window,
trying not to focus on his situation. When they got out though, there
was little he could do but act like every other date, holding Norman's
arm as they walked up the steps and inside. Through packs of kids they
walked, attracting no attention until Norman saw a pack of his friends
huddled away from most of the crowd and then it was like he was showing
off his prize.
"Hey guys," said Norman, tugging Brian along, interrupting a group of
nerdy guys. "Meet my girlfriend, Kylie."
"Girlfriend?" asked a geek curiously, in disbelief. "Since when do you
have a girlfriend?"
"Oh, Mirin?" said Lori, sticking up for her cousin. "Do I sense some
jealously?"
"No," said the geek, annoyed. "Hi Lori."
"I like the Geek Chic thing you've got going on," said Lori, touching
his plaid jacket. "So where's your date tonight?"
"Oh well, I didn't bring one, because both our friends from calculous
that were supposed to hang with us tonight have the flu," said Mirin
defensively. "But you already know that?"
"Yes I heard, and two girls for all eight of you?" asked Lori, shaking
her head. "Tough break guys, and wasn't one of them your sister,
Howard?"
"Yeah," sighed Howard, who couldn't take his eyes off Brian.
"Well either way our consensus was that a four to one ratio would be
suitable, since we don't really dance that much," replied Mirin,
reasoning. "We could have never surmised the probabilities that our
equations didn't work, but either way it was my understanding you were
the fill in actually, for Gertrude?"
"Oh silly, wherever did you hear that? This is my date, Ricky," said
Lori, flicking her wrist and then snuggling into to Ricky. "Like me or
my cousin would possibly be available? He was just doing those calc
girls and the rest of you nerds a favor, but now at least he doesn't
have to deal with his gorgeous girlfriend being home, feeling jealous or
even worse depressed without him?"
"That seems totally illogical," said Mirin.
"Oh Mirin," teased Lori, straightening his lapels. "As smart are you
are, you'll need to learn pretty girls never are logical?"
"You saying she came to the dork side," said Howard, scratching his
head. "Seriously, Norman?"
"Well, he's not a bragger," said Lori, nudging Brian. "It's just obvious
you've never met Kylie?"
"Negative?" questioned Mirin, looking at her in disbelief.
"Oh, didn't he tell you about me?" said Brian, softly slapping Norman's
wrist. "Norman?"
"I was going to, but we really don't talk much about girls when we're
all hanging out as friends," said Norman. "Really, we mostly talk about
computers, equations and technical stuff."
"Well I guess that's ok, then?" said Brian, playing along, looking up at
him and batting his lashes, reaching over and softly rubbing his hand
under his sport jacket. "I never like to come between my firmware and
his calc friends anyway."
"Wow, the only female he's ever mentioned was one of his hamsters, and
if I didn't see you with my own eyes I would have thought that you were
vaporwear?" said Mirin, having to wipe his glasses.
"Huuhh! Do I look like a pet, and I'm not really sure if that means you
don't like what I'm wearing?" said Brian with some attitude, half
covering his mouth, acting bitchy. "Plaid is out you know, and pink is
in this year? Why would your friend be rude to me, Norman?"
"Well?" started Norman, never having to defend a girl before. "I'm not
sure?"
"Sorry?" said Mirin, confused and looking at his plaid jacket. "It's not
what I meant?"
"Oookiiedokie then cutie," said Brian, twisting one of his curls,
enjoying him squirm. "Then I guess you were just asking about my pet
name that my Normie calls me? It's really just between us, but I'll tell
you if that makes you feel better. My pet name he calls me is Hermione."
"Really, Hermione?" gulped Mirin, looking at all the other nerds.
"Well yeah he said I remind him of her," said Brian, fluffing his red
curls and adjusting his glasses before snuggling in to Norman. "Isn't
that just the sweetest thing you ever heard?"
"I think I just overloaded my circuits," said Howard, seeing Brian smile
and showing off his braces.
"Mine too," said Mirin, swallowing hard. "I'm totally fried now."
"I bet?" giggled Lori, teasing them. "I mean what could be hotter than
the chick from Harry Potter?"
"Not a thing in this entire friggin' galaxy," gulped Mirin.
"Didn't think so?" smiled Lori, hugging him softly. "You gubers go have
some fun now, and we'll catch up with you want to be wizards later, ok?"
"Wait, you're not going to hang with us, Norman?" asked Mirin.
"In a bit. I'll ping you guys later," said Norman, making a corny
reference, putting his arm around Brian in front of the guys. "Let's go
browse the punch selections. Ready, Firefoxy?"
"Toodles, guys," Brian said, being led away and giving a flirty wave.
"Pleasure to meet all of you handsome fellas."
"Oh crap! I've got to shift to warp speed," said Mirin, looking down at
himself and then hurrying towards the restroom. "I think my hard drive
just exploded."
They could barely contain their laughter as they walked over, having
punch as couples now. With a few quick lines and some casual flirting,
he had made Norman the coolest of the nerds and outwitted people that
were five times smarter than him. Really though, the cleverest person of
all was his best friend Lori, as she opened the door for him to cement
his status as the pretty nerd fantasy girl of her cousin, and without
much coaxing, he stepped right through it.
He knew he had to do this for her anyway, holding hands with her cousin,
having his fingers rubbed and playing the part without complaining. It
was a little unnerving at times, as Lori introduced him to so many
people as Norman's girlfriend, as he was thrust into chatting with some
of her friends that didn't recognize him at all. Not that he wanted them
to, but he'd met some of them in the past and yet now he was accepted as
a sixth grade girl instead of a cute boy from the neighborhood that
they'd every once and awhile ask her about.
"So you girls want to come dance with us?" asked one of her friends.
"Sure, Rachel," replied Lori, grabbing Brian and kissing Ricky's cheek.
"You guys grab us a table and we're going to go dance with Rachel,
Millie and Kate. Try not to miss us too much, and we'll be back in a
few, ok?"
Off they went dancing, as Brian was quickly one of the girls, dancing to
a few fast songs and easily fitting in. It was weirder bopping in a
group of girls along with his best friend than it was dancing with Lori
solo, as they had danced together so many times before, and even more so
while she helped him practice. After three songs, the DJ took his first
break of the night and he found himself being hugged as one of them
before the full blown conversations broke out.
"Oh my gawwwwd, Kylie," said Rachel. "You can really boogie for a sixth
grader. I didn't expect that all girl."
"Thank you," said Brian, raising his brows and smirking.
"So what happened with you and her cousin Lori?" asked Rachel. "I
thought you were bringing Brian?"
"Originally, yes?" said Lori, trying to quickly change the subject. "But
why? Do you not think my date is cute?"
"You can't be serious?" said Millie, fanning herself. "We all already
hate you!"
"Big time! Yuuumm!" said Kate, licking her lips. "He's so hot!"
"I know! Scrumptious! Lori, you devil!" said Rachel, looking over at
Ricky across the room. "It's just last thing I heard, Brian was coming
and you two have been spending so much time together lately."
"I mean we've barely hung out all month?" said Kate, nodding. "We just
all thought maybe this time you two might be an item."
"Don't be silly," said Lori, waving her wrist at them. We're just best
friends girls, and I've been helping him through some stuff."
"I'm sure you have, slut!" teased Millie. "Now come on, let's hear the
details, because this has to be like your third or fourth boyfriend
already since you've been allowed to start dating, and now you're dating
two guys at once. I don't know how you do it, and don't hold back on us,
girl!"
"It's not like that. I'm helping him through something I can't talk
about. Let's call it a delicate time in his life," Lori explained
without saying much. "I'm sure this month I'll have more free time to
hang."
"Are you kidding me? I doubt that!" said Kate, gawking at Ricky. "I'd be
hanging with the stud muffin you brought tonight if I were you?"
"And while you do that Lori, then maybe you might mention I think
Brian's really cute to him," said Rachel. "You know, since you'll be
busy otherwise."
"Can we not talk about shit like this now, with his little cousin here?"
said Lori annoyed.
"It's fine," said Brian with a smirk. "It's just us girls talking, so I
wouldn't say anything."
"I just love love love her! She's so adorable," said Rachel, hugging
Brian before letting go and rolling her eyes at Lori. "And fine! I
wouldn't date him then anyway if it bothers you."
"I didn't say it did," said Lori, rolling her eyes. "It just would be
awkward once you broke up, because we both know you never last with
anyone, do you?"
"You're such a selfish bitch sometime,s hogging all the cute guys,"
laughed Rachel, giving Lori a soft nudge. "I'll stay away. Plus he's
cute, but a little wimpy for me. I'll stick with football players."
"But Brian plays football?" Brian said, getting annoyed. "He's not..."
"Sorry, I know he does sweetie, but my date is a linebacker, and
Millie's is a running back!" said Rachel, grabbing his hand. "I didn't
mean it that way honey about your cousin, and we all feel bad for him
that they never let him off the bench. It has to be so hard to play
football when you're kind of a small, more delicate guy. Really I just
meant he's like the friend every girl wants. Sensitive and sweet and so
fun to be with. Plus I'm betting he has to be an amazing kisser, but
Lori here doesn't seem to part with the dirt on that?"
"There's no dirt," Lori rolled her eyes. "The boy is a gem, and I love
him. That's it, you nosey bitches! Enough please."
"Whatever?" giggled Rachel, rolling her eyes. "It would be too weird for
any of us anyway but it's just every time I see him? Well... I just love
those sweetheart shaped lips the pretty boy has. They just look so
kissable looking, so just a little taste wouldn't be a sin, would it?
Muuuhhh Muuuhhh!"
They all shared a little cackle as Rachel faux kissed the air, joking
around as Brian wasn't sure if he was really insulted or complimented.
"Ok," sighed Lori, trying to stop laughing. "That he does, and you're
all jealous."
"I know, and she has them too!" said Millie, lifting Brian's chin. "You
can see the family resemblance, and no offense to your cousins, they are
all my Instagram friends, but I think you're definitely the prettiest
girl in the family."
"Oh, definitely," said Kate. "You are going to blossom into a little
hottie, girl. I can see it already!"
"Wow, that's so nice," said Brian, a bit humbled.
"And you let us know if it doesn't work out with her cousin, the rocket
scientist," said Kate, nudging Lori. "Because if not, both Millie and I
have little brothers that would kill to take you out."
"You kidding?" laughed Millie, spinning her phone. "That solo shot of
you in your aunt's house with your glasses off is already trending
around the fifth and sixth grade."
"Oh gawwdd," gulped Brian, mortified as he looked at her phone, seeing
the picture he had taken earlier.
"How cute? But we better get back to our dates," said Lori, pulling him
away. "I'll catch you guys later."
Lori dragged him with conviction back across the room and then over,
stopping a few steps before the guys.
"Don't forget you're here for my cousin," said Lori, looking him right
in the eyes, annoyed. "This weekend has been all about you, but not
tonight, understand me!"?
"What did I do?" asked Brian, confused.
"Nothing, and I don't want to talk about it," said Lori. "And it's not
what you haven't done, but what you're about to do, sweetlips Capelli."
"No, Lori!" said Brian, with the look of fright in his eyes. "That was
never part of the deal. I'm flirting! I'm holding hands. I'm a good
date! Please, that's enough."
"Hey fellas! Miss us? You ready to go dance with your dates," asked
Lori, turning her back on his moaning. "Come on, we're not letting you
sit around like big lumps all night."
She dragged the guys away from the table and then Brian was back holding
hands with Norman as they strolled towards the dance floor. Like the
good girlfriend, he tried making Norman feel special, making eye contact
as they danced, lifting up his arms and showing him a few moves,
spinning past him. He spent some time dancing, holding one hand and
touching him softly when it seemed appropriate as he'd spin by. He knew
Lori expected more now, but that far he wasn't intending to go, as he
did his best to boogie with the horrible dancer and giggle at the nerdy
jokes.
When the DJ again paused the music, it was beginning to get late and
then Lori snatched him away from his date.
"So we're going to go freshen up and we'll be right back, ok guys," said
Lori, kissing Ricky's cheek before pulling Brian off with her.
"Sure," smiled Ricky, as off they went in a flash.
"So you need help with anything, Kylie?" said Lori, putting down her
pocketbook on a vanity as they entered the ladies room together.
"Uuumm?" said Brian, looking at himself in the mirror and touching his
hair. "I think I'm ok?"
"Good, but maybe freshen up your blush and touch up your mascara," said
Lori, fussing with her hair, spraying it.
"Sure, if you think I need to," said Brian, touching up his cheeks and
lashes.
Without saying a word, she handed him her hairspray, observing him
spritz his own curls and then unscrewed the cap of her gloss as she
watched him fold up his purse, ready to leave.
"Weren't you planning on at least freshening up your lip gloss, or were
you waiting until later when you really wear it off," asked Lori,
sliding the applicator over his lips. "Your lip color is a stain, so
that won't be going anywhere, but you already know the gloss needs to be
refreshed after a bit of activity and it's getting late isn't it?"
"What's that supposed to mean?" said Brian, starting to get upset.
"Lori, please?"
"It only means I'm about to get detention, so hopefully Briana won't
need help with anything after school for the next few days," said Lori,
rubbing her lips together. "They've got some strict rules at these
dances about behavior, as you know from your days as Brian here, but it
appears things are changing for both of us. Aren't they?"
"That's not fair, Lori," said Brian, getting emotional. "I'm here,
aren't I? And the only thing changing is that I've been changed into an
eleven year old girl."
"Yeah, an adorable little princess who could make a boy these guys look
at as a loser into someone even the jocks admire," smiled Lori, folding
her arms. "And it's not like they could give you detention, right?"
"Lori, I've never even kissed a girl," said Brian, almost ready to break
down. "My first kiss was by a boy and I freaked out, so I'm not even
sure that it counts. You know that better than anyone, and it would have
been nice if you told me that some of your friends liked me and now you
want me to..."
"Shut up," said Lori, putting her fingers on his lips. "Yes, I want you
to shut up and look at me."
"I'm sorry," said Brian, as Lori locked the door.
"Don't be, sweetlips Capelli, because I've never kissed anyone like this
yet, either," said Lori, coming towards him and leaning in. "Now shut up
and kiss me."
In a way it was a moment he'd always thought about, as suddenly he was
lip locked with his best friend. All the time alone together they had
never even been close to a moment like this, as their lips slid across
each other's very briefly for fifteen or twenty seconds, until Lori
pulled back.
"Feel better," said Lori, leaning in and pecking another one ever so
gently.
"Yeah," nodded Brian, feeling a tear drip down his cheek. "That was the
best first kiss ever, and no matter what, I'm glad we shared that
together."
"Me too," said Lori, taking a tissue and wiping his eye. "And that's all
it would take to make the geek into an idol. I'm sorry, bestie. I'm not
forcing you, but I am asking you?"
"Lori, I..." Brian began as she interrupted him, leaning in again.
This time, her kiss was more purposeful and passionate, as she started
off gentle and then pressed down harder. She slid her hands up his body,
sending a chill down his spine and then their tongues entered each
other's mouths. It got hot and heavy as their bodies were pressed
against each other's, and then finally she pulled back, feeling the
little tent in his skirt she didn't expect would arise, realizing it got
a bit wilder than even she expected it to be.
"Sorry but ..wow.. Really ...wow," said Lori, with a big smile on her
face as she gazed in at him. "That I didn't expect, honey?"
"Yeah. Me either," said Brian, dazed and leaning in softly, pecking
another kiss, for the first time initiating it.
Altogether it was only a minute or two of bliss that they both really
enjoyed it as Lori pushed him back after allowing one last soft quick
kiss before touching his cheek so tenderly with her hand as his face lit
up as he gazed her lovingly.
"That's kind of not what I mean, but I guess I'm well... let's just say
flattered my kisses got such a reaction," smiled Lori, making one last
super quick kiss and raising her brows. "But I'm going to turn around
now for a second, because maybe you should use that contraption your
mother thought you wouldn't need tonight ok, because obviously all those
hormones inside you are still a bit confused."
"Oh," said Brian, turning red as she handed him his purse and turned
away.
Just her comment turned his moment of excitement back to a turtle state
as he pulled down his hose and panties.
He slid off one shoe and struggled, hopping on one foot, stepping into
his make shift device never more rapidly, tucking himself away before
fixing his panties and hose. Once she heard him snap himself in place,
she turned, having to giggle, seeing his dress caught inside the hose
waist band. She did her best not make much of it, holding in her laugh
as she pulled his dress from inside the hose's band and straightening
everything.
"Ok, better," smiled Lori, helping him back on with his other shoe.
"That definitely could have been an issue slow dancing, though."
"Yeah," said Brian, mortified.
"But now it won't be, and relax, bestie. You really do have such
kissable lips," said Lori, before opening her compact to repair his
liner. "Let's finish cleaning you up, bestie."
"Thanks I think?" said Brian, stopping her. "But wait just a second...
we tell each other everything don't we?"
"Of course we do?" replied Lori confused taking her pencil to his liner.
"Now look up. Why?"
"Well then why did you lie to me about dates and about boys that you
kissed?" said Brian, looking down at her as soon as she finished.
"Pucker up sweetie, and I didn't," Lori unscrewed her gloss and re-
glossed his lips. "I just said I never kissed anyone like this before,
meaning ... well you know I never kissed a girl before. I've kissed a
few guys and honestly I couldn't be more touched that I was your first
girl. I think it's so special, and I'll never forget it. We'll always
have that moment together, honey."
"Oh," gulped Brian, sliding together his lips in the mirror. "I guess
so? So that kiss was you training me."
"Well yes and no," said Lori, fixing her own lips now. "Maybe the first
one was a little training, but part two was because I really wanted to,
and I love you so much, bestie."
"Love you too." Brian nodded as they hugged for a second.
"Ok, now stop before we both ruin our makeup again, and I'll kill you!?"
smiled Lori, snapping her purse shut. "What do you say? It's no big
deal, and I'd rather not be alone in detention anyway."
"Oh, you suck bestie," said Brian, folding up his purse.
"No that's something I'm not doing until I'm much older," joked Lori,
unlocking the door. "And I know your hormones are kicking in missie, but
you're only eleven remember, so that's off the table for you too."
He shook his head at her as they giggled together and then it was time
as she opened the door. Out they went, as she knew exactly how to handle
him as he knew once again he had been manipulated, yet somehow maybe it
wouldn't be that bad. They walked over to the guys with their makeup
refreshed, pulling them up from their chairs and to the dance floor they
went.
It was getting towards the end of the night and the chaperones seemed to
be more on alert as more and more students arrived on the dance floor
for the slow dances. Even though he had been with him the entire night,
this all seemed so much more unnerving, as they both felt uncomfortable
dancing so close and gazing into each other eyes. When the song ended,
the music picked up so everyone broke apart, and as Brian easily handled
pop or hip hop more adeptly than almost any girl there, trying to guide
the awkward Norman along. It felt natural just to lay down some steps
and then suddenly he was the eight to one ratio chick, as over came the
entire group of nerds, surrounding him, trying to boogie. He did his
best to give every one of them a bit of attention, and then after two
songs being spun like a top, the music slowed down
"Ok geek squad! Back to your virtual girls, now," said Norman when
finally it ended, wasting no time and pulling Brian in tight.
"Thanks Normie," said Brian, batting his lashes as he looked up at him,
almost happy not to be touched by all the nerds, slow dancing a little
closer this time. "Not that I don't like your friends, but it's kind of
getting late and I was hoping we could have a few dances to ourselves."
"Ooohhh," said Norman, practically shivering, sliding his arm a little
higher on his back. "It's just I'm not that used to being with pretty
girls. Honestly, you're girlfriend 1.0."
"Oh that's so ummm... flattering... yeah wow," said Brian, trying to
mentally prepare himself for what he had to do as he leaned in closer,
resting his head on Norman's shoulder, cuddling as they slow danced and
whispered in his ear. "Just maybe do me a favor my Normie, and put the
big tablet phone thing you have in your back pocket when we dance so
close."
"I think it's in my back pocket, Kylie?" said Norman, reaching back,
worried for a moment making sure he didn't drop it. "Wheeeww! It's
there! For a second I thought I lost it."
"Oh gawdddd!" gulped Brian, still feeling it against him when he leaned
back in. "You sure?"
"Affirmitive, GF 1.0," joked Norman. "And don't worry, I already
uploaded all our pictures to the cloud, and even if I lost my phone,
Lori has all your significant digits so we can go out again."
"Oh thank goodness," gulped Brian, practically vomiting in his mouth,
shifting his weight. "Yeah, she's amazing, your cousin. Maybe just shift
a little, ok?"
"Sure, anything for my Hermione?" smirked Norman, trying a line. "You
know this place must have free wifi, because I'm feeling a really strong
connection."
"Ooohh.. uumm yeah? I'm feeling it too," said Brian as anyway he moved
he couldn't shake the feeling of Norman's hardness against his dress.
"Norman it's just..."
"I know it's crazy, Kylie. I know you're younger than me, and we just
met," said Norman, looking at him, almost drooling. "But you see most
girls are like internet domains... meaning like the good ones I like are
usually taken."
"Wow, you really do know what to say to a girl, Normie," said Brian,
leaning back, looking into his eyes and just going with whatever stupid
thing he could muster. "So then aren't you the current registered owner
of this red headed domain?"
"Y--..Y..." stuttered Norman, opening his mouth, trying to speak,
overcome by Brian's pouty lips, yet not a word came out.
He could only stutter, as excitement had the best of him, looking into
Brian's eyes like he just had gotten a new MAC for Christmas. Brian was
good at being a flirt, and had to admit having the power of persuasion
over guys was a turn on, even if once he became the vixen, it sent his
nerves to shambles.
For what seemed like an eternity, they looked at each other, one more
frightened than the other to make a move, and then Brian looked out of
the corner of his eyes, seeing Lori kissing Ricky. On one hand it was
stunning, yet in another way not surprising at all as he closed his eyes
and leaned in, pressing his lips against Norman's.
He could feel himself almost starting to whimper as he got choked up,
breaking the kiss, all grossed out. He stopped looking at Norman,
feeling like he was swallowing chunks, and then Norman touched his face,
trying to calm him. Between Norman sniffling and Brian struggling to
hold back from sobbing, he swallowed hard a few times, feeling lumps in
his throat as one kiss already made a mess of both of them emotionally.
He hoped that was enough to satisfy both Noman and Lori, as thankfully
he was interrupted as the nerds were practically in both of their faces
now.
"Hey Norman, you better watch out, Mrs. Gunther was watching and I think
you might be getting detention," said Mirin, interrupting.
"She looks pissed, buddy," said Howard.
"Who cares, and don't interrupt me again, you losers," said Norman,
angrily reaching up and wiping a booger from his runny nose. "I'll
google you dickheads later, because right now I've found everything I've
been searching for."
"Oh gawwddd," moaned Brian, completely freaked out yet stuck with
nowhere to go as Norman took control, dipping Brian back and leaning
back in, initiating a kiss.
The little girl with the curls he had become could do nothing to fight
off her nerdy lover, as he held him more tightly than ever and kissed
him so tenderly. He wanted to cry, feeling the push at his braces yet
knew he couldn't lose his composure in front of the entire dance. He had
to hold on, reciprocating the kissing just not to fall on his back as he
found himself holding on for dear life with one arm around Norman's
neck. With his free hand, he reached down, tugging at his dress, feeling
it start to slide up as he held down the hem, feeling Norman's hard
member almost beneath the crinoline. He balanced on just the thin heels
of his pumps in the most awkward position, grossed out by the wetness
dripping out of his mouth.
Sixty seconds into the kiss, he popped open his eyes, tapping Norman's
neck to stop, feeling something crunchy inside his mouth, yet that
sensation was only momentary, as his shriek was unanswered as Norman's
tongue followed next. Whatever it seemed to be now may have washed down
his throat, and then mercifully the song ended as he could barely hold
back his tears anymore. Just returning upright to his heels, looking
into Norman's eyes started his fingers trembling uncontrollably, as all
he wanted to do was scream while they both caught their breath. His eyes
were bulging around as he saw so many people staring their way, and then
the huge grin that slowing grew on Norman face, which made him feel
almost faint.
"Kylie that was..." Norman began until suddenly a series of blood red
nails grabbed him by the ear.
"Norman, you pig," said an elderly woman. "Say goodnight to your little
hussie, and let's go call your parents, you disgusting animal."
"Easy, Mrs. Gunther. That hurts!" grumbled Norman, being dragged away by
a chaperone. "I'll call you, Hermione?"
"Come on, sweetlips," giggled Lori, grabbing his arm and whisking him
away before anyone else could come over. "And hurry up before she comes
back."
Across the room they hurried as she led him right into the ladies room
and then quickly turned, locking the door behind them.
"Ohhhh Myyyy Gawwwdd," said Lori, going right into a giggle as she
leaned back on the door.
"Stop," said Brian, still half out of breath, holding up his hands.
"Don't do this, Lori?"
"You want me to stop? Me?" teased Lori, shaking her head. "You are a
wild little girl aren't you, Miss Kylie?"
"Please I am going to be sick." Brian looked in the mirror and wiped the
stray gloss from around his lips. "Please don't ask me to ever do that
again?"
"Are you serious?" smiled Lori. "All I expected was a little peck.
Something the dweeb could brag about. Maybe detention for a day? But
you.. you might have gotten him detention for a month. Holy shit!"
"Please don't even say that's what you meant?" said Brian, leaning over
the sink, feeling like he was going to puke. "Please?"
"A kiss like I showed you?" giggled Lori. "Something soft and tender
like I taught you the first time. That's what I meant."
"Oh gawwddd Lori," moaned Brian. "Somehow I got leaned back, and lost
control. I couldn't stop it!"
"Yeah I kind of saw that. He dipped you and it looked pretty hot from
what I saw," said Lori, raising her brows and smirking. "Honestly, after
our crummy kiss, that made me pretty jealous."
"Not funny!" moaned Brian, holding his stomach, stuttering. "He had me
almost falling on my ass, barely balancing in these heels and... and
...and if I didn't hold on to my dress with one hand and his neck with
the other.... then we really would have given everyone a show they would
have to never forget."
"Ooohhh! Yeah, that would not have been good!" sighed Lori, twisting her
neck. "Good thinking then?"
"I wasn't thinking! How could I think? I wasn't thinking at all," said
Brian, throwing up his hands. "I was panicking, and his dick was like a
rock against me the whole time. He's freaking huge, and I was freaking
out!"
"Yeah I bet you were, but that is not something I need to know about my
cousin, ok?" said Lori, cringing and shaking her hands. "We all noticed
a bit too much of that on all these nerds tonight, but do me a favor and
never bring that up again, please!"
"Trust me, I won't," said Brian, equally as grossed out.
"Ok then its over," said Lori, pushing down her hands in a calming
motion. "Let's just freshen up and you need to get it together, ok?"
"You're right! I will," said Brian, looking in the mirror, lifting his
gums and poking around his finger. "Plus I think I might have swallowed
part of these braces. I felt something crunchy in my mouth, and I'm
pretty sure his tongue pushed it right down my throat?"
"Ewwwww? What did you eat tonight?" said Lori, coming over and poking at
something from under his pink brace caps. "Salad?"
"Ahhh nothing?" Answered Brian curiously as she looked in his mouth. "I
was with you all night, and we didn't eat anything?"
"Ok then, maybe it's more like what did he eat that you sucked out of
his mouth?" said Lori, scratching it from under the brace cap with her
nail. "Be still a second."
"How gross!" grumbled Brian. "Now even his food is in my mouth! I'm
going to be sick."
"No, I think you probably swallowed most of it," said Lori, staring and
smoothing nasty on her nail and beginning to shake her hand, trying to
stay calm. "Just hand me a tissue please. And hurry up please!"
"Most of it?" groaned Brian pulling a tissue from the holder on the
vanity.
"Yeah just chill a second and if this isn't me proving I love my bestie,
I have no clue what could?" said Lori, turning pale, grabbing another
few tissues from the counter. "Ewwww!"
"What is that?" gulped Brian, seeing the green looking substance.
"It's no big deal, but Norman's nose was running when Mrs. Gunther
pulled him away," said Lori, grabbing a paper towel and wetting it.
"Just be still for me, sweetie. There's a bit in your hair."
"Is that snot?" panicked Brian. "His freaking snot is in my hair!"
"Stay calm before you make me heave," said Lori, wetting one of his
curls with the paper towel and then squeezing out the moisture with her
fingers. "Unfortunately he's always has had a little mucus issue, and
obviously he wasn't picking his nose in front of his girl."
"You mean an issue with boogers! Are you freaking kidding me?" said
Brian, jumping back, grabbing the ends of his curls, seeing it was gone.
"Oh my gawwddd. I swallowed one of his dried boogers and had his snot in
my hair?"
"Just chill. It's gone now," said Lori, handing him an tissue. "But
don't freak out! Maybe just follow the path of the dripping down just a
little lower ok?"
"What?" said Brian, taking the clean tissue, apprehensively and almost
not wanting to look down.
"You know," said Lori, making a gross face. "Remember how you were
dipped back, smooching and gravity kind of..."
"Eeeeeewwwwww!" screamed Brian, interrupting as he looked down with his
nails in the air, screeching. "It's on my dress. Ohh my gawwwdd! There's
snot on my dress."
"Yeah, and near the bow on the sash," said Lori, pointing with her
finger.
"Eeeeeewwwww!" said Brian, flicking it off with the tissue atop his
nail. "It's even dried up! Eeeeeeeeewwwww!"
"Your sister was right. You really are such a girl now," laughed Lori,
opening her pocketbook and taking out a wipe. "Here, wipe the silk and
then your fingers"
"I'm glad you're finding all of this amusing. Sooo grosssss," grumbled
Brian, wiping the bow gingerly and then checking his dress everywhere,
looking down and then at it in the mirror. "You set me up with the
Booger boy and please? I freaking swallowed that crap! Eeeewwww!"
"Like you wouldn't be laughing at me if it were the other way around?"
smiled Lori, coming over and taking his hand to calm him down.
"Yeah maybe?" smirked Brian, as they smiled at each other.
"So how about we fix you up a little, bestie," said Lori, opening his
purse and taking out his makeup case.
She took a minute fixing his eye shadow and then touching up his mascara
before powdering his nose a little.
"Told you this lip stain doesn't kiss off, though," said Lori, leaning
in and kissing him softly.
For a minute now she kissed him and then smiled at him, looking into his
eyes, not saying a word when they stopped.
"Wow," said Brian, not sure what to do. "You kissed me again."
"I know," smiled Lori, unscrewing his lip gloss now and then turning,
coating his lips. "I didn't want you to leave tonight with a bad taste
in your mouth. You look much too pretty."
"Thanks! That..." said Brian, feeling emotional, hugging her, almost
crying."Huhh! That did feel so nice."
"Yeah." Lori coated her own lips now, glancing at him in the mirror. "I
kissed a girl again ...and I liked it!"
They both cracked up, hugging again as the lighthearted moments helped
him relax again and calm down. It really wouldn't be so easy to forget
all this, but he tried not to focus on it as they both fussed with their
hair now.
"So if we forget the few mucus incidents, you have to at least admit you
had some fun as a girl at a dance, right?" said Lori, walking behind
Brian, lifting his curls and spraying his hair. "At least a little fun
with my cuz?"
"Did I?" said Brian, rolling his eyes. "Just maybe not as much fun as
you've been having?"
"Me?" smiled Lori, spraying her own hair now.
"You know I saw you?" said Brian, turning towards her and looking her
right in the eyes.
"Come on. You saw nothing," said Lori, looking away and taking out her
brush, lifting his chin, brushing his bangs. "Maybe your glasses are a
little fogged. You want me to clean them for you?"
"You know what I mean, Lori?" said Brian, pulling away her hand.
"I'm not sure I do bestie." Lori covered his eyes and sprayed his bangs
now.
"You know you do?" Brian opened his eyes. "Now we've beaten to death all
that I've done, but what the hell are you doing?"
"Oh?" said Lori, putting the cap on her hairspray and putting it in her
purse, not making eye contact. "Is there a problem?"
"Well no, but disgusting as it's been but..." replied Brian, packing his
own purse. "I just didn't expect you'd go too far?"
"Too far? You mean with Ricky?" said Lori, spinning around and looking
him right in the eyes. "Are you jealous? Were we making you
uncomfortable?"
"Well no," Brian answered sheepishly.
"Ok good? Because I thought he wasn't your boyfriend, so I didn't think
you'd mind?" said Lori, nodding. "I mean obviously you looked pretty
busy, so why can't your bestie have a little sugar too? Right?"
"I guess you're entitled, but I'd rather you didn't with him," said
Brian, looking at her with puppy dog eyes. "Especially right in front of
me too?"
"So then it bothers you?" smirked Lori.
"No," said Brian, trying not to get upset.
"Not at all?" said Lori, pushing him verbally. "You not even the least
bit jealous?"
"Jealous?" said Brian, trying to be strong. "No... well no I'm not."
"No hugghh?" said Lori with a grin, rubbing her chin. "So maybe not
Kylie, but does it bother Briana?
"Well?" said Brian, hating her tormenting him. "A little I guess."
"Then it's about fucking time you act on that shit, bitch!" said Lori,
raising her voice, scolding him.
"I can't," moaned Brian. "You know I can't! I just went through hell
with snot face and ..and?"
"And what?" said Lori, looking at him out of the corner of her eyes with
some attitude.
"And you know," said Brian sheepishly. "I'm still a boy!"
"Seriously?" smiled Lori. "That's your excuse? You kissed him yesterday
and Norman today?"
"And you today?" mumbled Brian. "And last night wasn't really... and
well today was just.... That doesn't really count!"
"Stop kidding yourself! He really likes you, and you really like him.
It's that simple," said Lori with her hands on her hips.
"So you kissed him just to make me jealous?" said Brian, scratching his
head.
"Good thing you're so pretty FireFoxy, and don't ruin your hair," Lori
said with a wink, pulling his hand away from scratching his head. "Now
he's dying to be your boyfriend, and you're fucking it up!"
"I know he is but..."
"But nothing! I'm still your best friend no matter what, so bullshit
someone that won't know better," Lori folded her arms. "We both know
you've brought all this on yourself, and I know it's hard for you to
accept some of what's been happening, but we also both know you'll
regret doing nothing if you let this train pass you by."
"But this is even scarier than everything I've done," gulped Brian.
"Much scarier."
"Bullshit, so what are you going to do about it, because hear that,"
said Lori, giving him a little shove. "That's the call for the last
dance..."
"Last dance of the night?" said Brian, almost feeling relieved. "Wait,
last dance ..Yes I know that song!"
"Yup, last dance and last chance for love, so don't you think it's about
time the princess has some balls for a change?" said Lori, nodding at
him.
"Isn't that exactly the problem?" said Brian, feeling weak at the knees.
"No, you drama queen! They are exactly where they belong, behind a big
pretty skirt, and if you ask me they belong exactly where you just put
them! Tucked away and useless," said Lori, smoothing his dress and then
sliding some curls onto his shoulder. "Now he's fucking dreamy, and if
you don't make a move now, then maybe I will."
"Shut up and give me my purse, it's the last dance," said Brian, taking
a deep breath. "Fine, I'm not leaving without at least dancing with
him."
"No you're not leaving without doing a little better than you did with
Norman. It's time for the red head Potter chick to turn into Ginger
Spice, and spice things up for a change," said Lori, spinning him
towards the door. "You're a cheerleader! We're divas and bitches that
take what we want."
"Really?" said Brian, piping up. "You mean like I'm a bad girl?"
"You're a wicked scarlet! A bitching red hot handful for any stud," said
Lori, giving him a pep talk. "Now get out there, deliver the sexy goods
he's been dying for and reel him in! I'll text you later after I try to
figure out how much trouble my cousin is in?"
"I can not believe I'm doing this, but ok... ok," said Brian, feeling
himself almost crying, starting to shake, working up the nerve. "Holy
shit! .... I love you so much, bestie."
"I love you to, you freaking hormonal mess," Lori hugged him and then
let go. "Now go get your boyfriend... you naughty girl."
Lori unlocked the door, shoving Brian outside and then hurried away to
go to try and get Norman out of as much trouble as she could.
Brian looked over, seeing Ricky hanging out by himself and then walked
over, barely functioning before softly touching his shoulder.
"So uuummmm... Lori's a little busy right now, and said she didn't
mind?" said Brian, taking Ricky's hand from behind. "Think I could have
this dance?"
"Briana?" said Ricky, as his eyes lit up seeing her. "Dance? Uumm yeah?
I kind of wondered all night if we might have a..?"
"It's Kylie, remember?" whispered Brian in his ear, giving him a wink.
"And you sure?"
"Sorry," whispered Ricky, as Brian could feel him tremble. "Sure, I'd
love to dance with her too!"
"Thanks," said Brian, taking his hand as Ricky's angst began to calm
him. "Lori thought she should have at least one dance with her cousin if
they'll let him, and being it's the last dance I was hoping you didn't
mind?"
"Mind?" said Ricky, getting more nervous as Brian cold feel his palm
getting sweaty. "Why would I mind?"
"You know why?" said Brian, feeling his lungs fill with air, pulling him
away from the dance floor. "But not there. I was thinking maybe out on
the balcony would be nice?"
"Won't you be cold out there?" said Ricky, taken back.
"Why would I?" said Brian, looking into his eyes, batting his lashes.
"It's a slow song, so we'd be dancing close, right?"
"Well I would think so," said Ricky.
"Then you'd keep me safe and warm, won't you?" said Brian, twisting some
curls, swaying just a little.
"You know I would," said Ricky, nodding.
"Good. I'd like that," replied Brian, very softly kissing his cheeks and
wiggling his fingers between Brian's, leading him outside. "Come on."
"Wow, it is a little frigid," said Ricky as soon as they got outside.
"You sure about this?"
"As long as you're close to me, yes," Brian slid his arm behind Ricky's
back and held his other hand, beginning to slow dance and glancing up at
him. "And the only thing that was frigid was me, and I want to
apologize."
"Apologize?" replied Ricky, getting nervous as Brian could feel his palm
getting sweaty. "Kylie, you don't need to..?"
"Oooppss?" said Brian, letting go of his hand and leaning down his face,
allowing his glasses to slide off and drop to the floor, stomping them
gently with his heel, breaking them.
"So you don't need them, Kylie?" said Ricky, caught off guard as Brian
kicked away the broken lenses.
"No. I've got the only thing I need right now, and you don't have to
call me that out here?" said Brian, wrapping his wrist around his neck,
looking into his eyes. "Or hopefully ever again! Kylie's gone now."
"You sure?" said Ricky, nervously looking at him.
"It's just us out here, right? And it's still me of course. Fake
braces... colored contacts... and dyed hair," said Brian, stepping back
a few inches, pulling away his arms, pointing to his braces and lifting
the ends of his dress slightly before dropping it down. "Plenty of
dainty little touches to mask me a little, but under here it's still
me!"
"I know, and with or without all that, you're still beautiful," said
Ricky, stepping right back towards him, taking his hand.
"Thank you, and you know it's not Kylie that's sorry?" said Brian,
looking right into his eyes without blinking. "And you know why?"
"You've got nothing to be sorry about, Briana," said Ricky almost
shaking now. "I was maybe too pushy. Too presumptuous. I shouldn't have
thought you were interested in being more than friends. I felt terrible
about it."
"You?" said Brian. "I couldn't even sleep last night, Ricky."
"Me either," said Ricky. "I just..."
"No. Please," said Brian, putting his finger over Ricky's lips. "It was
me."
"Well," Ricky began as Brian smiled, shushing him, shaking his head no.
"You're my support system," said Brian, softly kissing him. "And my
biggest fan."
"That I am," said Ricky, letting out a breath.
"And the perfect gentlemen," said Brian, again leaning in, softly
kissing just a little longer.
"Thankssssss," mumbled Ricky, feeling his lips tingle.
"And whether you've helped me or not," Brian slid his index finger
inside the buttons of his shirt, sliding it across his bare chest
inside. "You know what? You're amazing either way, and I don't want to
know."
Down pressed Brian lips, kissing him deeper and longer now. Their lips
ever so softly swirled as any thought of Norman or him kissing Lori were
quickly erased, as it was so soft and tender for a few minutes until
they finally came up for air.
"Guess I didn't realize what I was missing last night," smiled Brian,
wiping his gloss from around Ricky's lips.
"Oh Briana," sighed Ricky, shaking his head, stunned at how electric
their kiss was. "Wow! Unbelievable! That was even better than I imagined
but..."
"Me too, but I think we can even do better," said Brian, pushing at his
eye lids. "Now close those gorgeous eyes and let me show you, stud."
Brian never felt more charged in his life, feeling so wild as he
passionately controlled the pace, kissing Ricky. In no time, his tongue
was inside his mouth as it got hot and heavy as they made out. Just
keeping Ricky's hands wandering out of places they shouldn't go was a
bit of a struggle, as Brian was incredibly turned on with Ricky's hands
touching his ass and stomach through his dress. He loved his neck being
nibbled, sighing while digging his nails into his boyfriend's shirt,
barely ever stopping to breath as he returned the soft love bites. When
their lips returned to each other's, their mouths never parted for more
than seconds at a time, gasping while exploring deeply inside each
other's tonsils. There would be nothing crunchy or dripping except for
saliva, as their tongues did the dancing for their bodies, when their
feet stopped moving as no doubt now that Brian had found his inner diva.
Neither one really knew how long it was lasting, but they could barely
breathe when finally they gave it a rest, looking into each other's eyes
with huge smiles on their faces as their hearts raced uncontrollably.
"You know you look cute in pink lip gloss," Brian teased, straightening
his twisted dress when the kiss broke, looking up at him.
"I guess not as cute as Kylie in braces, though," smiled Ricky, fixing
his suit.
"Yeah, do not get used to those," said Brian, wiping around his own lips
and then Ricky's. "Those will definitely be gone by our next date, and I
promise it will get even be better once they're out?"
Brian leaned back in again, kissing him but once it got a little heavy,
Ricky pushed back, breaking the smooch.
"Sorry, they hurt right?" said Brian, feeling the braces. "It was just
for the Kylie effect thing, and I promise you won't have a girlfriend
with a mouth full of metal. They're out by tomorrow."
"Briana, wait," said Ricky, nervously brushing the curls off his face.
"It's not that?"
"Oh, it's the red hair?" said Brian. "I'll dye it back after the game if
you want. I have to at least keep it that long, but it's a little too
bold right?"
"No, you're beautiful as a redhead or a brunette. It's not your hair. I
love your hair. I love your curls and I really wanted to be your
boyfriend but..." Ricky bowed his head. "I kind of can't commit to
having a girlfriend right now?"
"What do you mean? You just kissed me," said Brian, stunned. "You've
been pursuing me all weekend? You told me I'm beautiful, and I know you
like me?"
"Well, yeah but," said Ricky, looking down at the floor.
"But what? Look at me, Ricky?" said Brian, shocked. "We just made out
for twenty minutes at least. You think I just kiss anybody?"
"Well I did just watch whatever that was with Norman?" Grinned Ricky,
squishing his cheeks.
"That was.. that was," babbled Brian. "Well I really don't know what
that was, and I was mostly doing that for Lori. I really normally
don't..."
"I know you probably don't," said Ricky, stopping him from jabbering,
shaking a bit nervously. "And I've be dying to kiss you since the first
time we met, but I can't do this now. You're gorgeous and amazing, but I
shouldn't have let you kiss me. It was wrong and I'm sorry. Don't hate
me, but it's just that I'm committed to another girl."
"You what?" said Brian, caught totally off guard.
"I met someone else," replied Ricky, embarrassed.
"And when was that?" asked Brian, appalled. "We just went on a date last
night?
"Yes, and you rejected me, so I thought I had no chance with you," said
Ricky, trying to hold his hand.
"I never said that?" Brian was stunned.
"No, you ran out like you hated me?" explained Ricky, trying to rub his
fingers.
"Well yeah, but I didn't," said Brian, pulling away his hand. "And
didn't I just make that up to you? I mean that was some kiss."
"Well you just kissed me, and I just couldn't stop it," said Ricky,
raising his brows. "Wrong as I was for doing it, it just felt
incredible, and didn't want it to end."
"Maybe it's just you that just kisses anyone?" Brian pointed his finger
at him. "You kissed me and Lori tonight, so that should have told me
something?"
"I didn't plan on any of that either, Briana? You both kissed me, and
Lori's was just a peck, really."
Ricky paused, trying to squelch his anger. "I'm sorry! I would have
waited for you, but I thought we were through."
"So she's also a cheerleader, isn't she?" asked Brian putting, his hands
on his hips with some attitude.
"What's the difference?" said Ricky, not wanting to say.
"Oh there's a difference, alright?" said Brian, folding his arms. "Half
the girls there were eyeing you up with me, and trust me they didn't
care about the person you are like I did?"
"You mean like caring about using me to get picked for the team?" said
Ricky, folding his arms back at him.
"But I didn't use you, did I?" said Brian in a huff. "Or did you help me
and I don't know about it after I asked you not to?"
"You're beautiful and one of the best cheerleaders I've ever seen," said
Ricky, taking a breath.
"Maybe, but you didn't answer my question, did you?" said Brian,
stomping his foot.
"I thought you said you didn't want to know?" asked Ricky, rolling his
eyes.
"Before all this shit I didn't, but a girl has a right to change her
mind, doesn't she?" replied Brian with steam coming out of his ears.
"Now what's the answer, lover boy?"
"Goodnight, Briana, and I wished things were different," said Ricky,
shaking his head, taking a step back. "And just so you know, I really
wish you would have kissed me back last night and not run off."
"So you're really not going to tell me?" said Brian, feeling so empty
inside and rejected.
"I already did, and why don't we get back inside, ok?" said Ricky,
shaking his head, tossing up his hands. "Again I'm sorry."
"I was too until now, you jerk! Good luck with the new girlfriend," said
Brian, turning his back and not wanting Ricky to see him get upset as he
scurried off.
He was doing his best to hold it together as best as he could, hurrying
over to the coat check and grabbing his coat. His nerves were in
shambles texting Lori, knowing half of what he typed probably made no
sense as he could no longer keep his emotions in check. He cut off a few
other kids leaving, as he hopped in the first cab, slamming his phone in
his purse, not even bothering to wait for her response. As soon as he
gave the driver his address, he was balling, almost uncontrollably, like
the little princess he'd become, sobbing all the way home, feeling
pissed, embarrassed and rejected all at the same time.
As the cab pulled up at his house, he calmed down enough to pay the
driver as Lori's cab pulled up right behind him and she sprinted towards
him as he stepped to the curb. They hugged and cried together for ten
minutes in the cold night, until finally they calmed down enough to go
inside and then the waterworks started all over again once he saw his
mother and Amy waiting up for them.
They talked like girlfriends as he poured out his heart to his mother,
college age sister and best friend, sharing details and gossiping in
ways only women that love each other can. A little time boy bashing by
all the women made him feel slightly better, as they grumbled about how
horrible men can be at times, while Lori took out his contacts and added
a solution to dissolve the bonds for his braces. Already with a bad
taste in his mouth in so many ways, it was a welcome feeling to get
comfortable, as his sister grabbed one of her big night shirts for him
before helping him out of heels and his dress.
She was now the big sister he needed, rubbing his back as she took down
his hair, soothing his sorrow and facilitating some giggles between
tears, as Lori wiped away all his makeup. Somehow he'd been accepted as
just one of the girls, as this bizarre weekend came to a close as he sat
sobbing and cackling while his sister coated his hair with fragrant
detangler, brushing away his curls.
He'd poured out his heart while she Dutch braided on the left and then
did his best to suck up sadness, drowning any final groans in a bowl of
ice cream while she Dutch braided the right. After almost two hours of
late night girl talk, all their tear ducts were finally empty when they
all hugged goodnight and he headed to bed exhausted while his mother
drove Lori home.
In the morning, he was awoken early when a hint sunlight slightly peaked
through the edge of his shade, reflecting off his cheek and he rolled
over, feeling something compress his mattress at the edge of his bed.
"Good morning, honey," said his mother, rubbing his back through the
cover.
"Hey mom," said Brian, happy to see her. "What time is it?"
"Time for my star to get up and shine," His mother softly touched his
face with the back of her hand. "You ready? It's a new day."
"Never more ready, mom," nodded Brian, sitting up. "I'm excited to start
practice today."
"I figured as much, but remember the commitment you already agreed to
missie, because you are about to be a cheerleader pretty much 24/7
without any of us to help you too much for the next two weeks," said his
mother, playing with one of his braids. "Today is just mostly fittings
and meetings, but then right up to the game it's morning until night
every day, except a half day Sunday. Its thirteen hours a day with home
schooling at their center and practice and whatever else they need you
to work through."
"Yeah, I know," Brian reached out, touching her hand. "I may not have
expected how much was involved or really most of what's occurred before
I started all this, but I'm all in now right?"
"Ok then my princess," teased his mother, twisting the ends of both of
his braids in front of his mouth, goofing around like she would with his
sisters before letting go. "I've got the absence form from the team to
send into your school already filled out, so I was just double
checking."
"Thanks mom, but I'm not so sure about this whole princess thing yet,
ok?" said Brian, taking her hand. "I mean I'm going to do everything
they ask me too and don't want to disappoint when I perform at the game,
but after that I might be done with all this. Really that was my
intention before things got carried away."
"I'm fine with anything sweetie, and either way you'll always be my
prince or princess," said his mother, kissing his forehead and opening a
few papers and showing him. "Plus you've even got me flipping things on
these documents now, but at least all I had to do was white out the A in
Briana for your school."
"Yeah I guess that's the easy part," Brian laughed before hugging her.
"Exactly but you know how I hate lying! Now go shower and don't even
give it a second thought, young lady." His mother winked, getting up.
"They said no makeup, and hair in a pony, so getting ready will be easy
at least for today."
"Thanks mom," said Brian as he headed off to shower.
When he came out, his mother instructed him on how she wanted him to
blow out his hair and then up in a pony it went. She made sure his
sisters spandex workout clothes fit him perfectly, and then he was ready
to go in her old Cheer Elite warm ups. Even without a stich of makeup,
he already looked cute with his soft bangs and his hair in a high pony,
on his way to be trained and fitted in his new gear.
He soon learned this was no joke at all, as they worked all five of
their girls endlessly to exhaustion each day, and made sure their school
work also didn't slack during this first week. It was no longer just
cheers or flipping, as endurance needed to be built with all of them,
including Brian. Just sitting having lessons about how their makeup
needed to be or studying the intricate routines were nice breaks during
the day, yet they took every step and inch of the girls appearance very
seriously, making sure no detail would be left undone.
When he got home each night, he felt completely spent, yet his mother
made sure to be involved, understanding every detail of what he was
putting himself through and that his school work was done without issue.
They watched tv together as a family while he lived up to his promises
as his little sister's hair model, being experimented on, never putting
up a fuss for a second as he just sat there watching sitcoms and letting
her do whatever she wanted. It actually made it easier each morning to
leave anyway, showing up in braids or buns like most of the other girls
on the team, just as if he had created some tween fun looks himself.
With Amy back in college during the week, and Lori not able to come over
that late at night, their conversations were had over facetime as they
also stayed very involved in his life.
When Sunday one week before the big game came, they had at least given
their girls a physical break from the rigors of practice, as it felt
like heaven spending their morning in the spa instead of the classroom
or workout floor. Receiving his first facial and massage couldn't have
been more welcome. as the team girls bonded even further during their
beauty regiments. enjoying the partial down time. Stinky chemicals being
professionally applied to his head or scissors slicing away at his locks
were no longer of any concern at all as he sat back worry free while
they took full control of his image. In a public place with a head full
of curler rods. he no longer felt troubled for even a moment at what his
image would be, at ease with being professionally made up and smiling
when they let down his hair.
Four hours later, he wandered out of a salon for the first time more
relaxed than he'd ever been as a girl, with his long nails redone to
reflect each team's color, and his skin glowing after a the cleansing. A
spiral perm tightly cementing his ribbon's curls more permanently. and
more distinct layers sliced in somehow seemed like it should be. Even
the slight variation of his color seemed normal, as his Irish setter
ginger hair color now contained strawberry blonde highlights, almost
like he was born that way.
When every girl had gotten dressed, he was just one of five thirteen
year old girls in identical form fitting super bowl logoed, shimmery
Viking purple colored dresses and 3 ? inch gold glittery heels, walking
into the stadium to take promotional shots with the older girls. They
all felt confident, dazzling like they were the stars until they saw the
professional cheerleaders strut their way out, quickly reminding them
they were just honored to be there as junior all-stars.
It was a bit intimidating seeing their busty bodies and feathered hair
tower over them, as even being made up as they were next to them, they
were still the little girls with big bows on their heads. Each girl on
his team looked up to them like they were like Amazons, thrilled as
they'd be mixed at times among their new idols once game day would
arrive. It was still a week until the game, but reality was hitting him
now that this was coming fast and he'd really be doing this.
After a few big team shots and gracious hugs with the women, they took a
backseat to the real cheerleaders, watching every move and pose
intently. After some on the job observing and lecturing, they took some
individual shots and then were ushered away for their first change. For
the first time he tried on all six of his game day outfits, amazed at
the number of costume changes and then admiring how everyone looked in
them. He'd double and triple check himself to make sure nothing was
awry, and that was even before the stylist would inspect every girl head
to toe.
In and out they ran, being photographed quickly in certain poses and
costumes each time, with tight time constraints. It was actually a
relief to change back to his dress and heels, knowing the first whirl
win test of pictures and outfit changes was behind him, but then the
schedule looked dizzying, as he realized all the places they'd need to
be.
He could see the plan coming together through listening to a director
while they walked through the agenda, yet could see this was not about
glamour or outfits, as it was all business being marshaled around like
cattle. Every tunnel, every pathway and every room he'd utilize would be
tied precisely to their routines now, and the routes memorized without
mistake. It was almost a welcome brain break when they brought him with
his team to the media room as they stood behind their coaches at a press
conference about the cheerleaders, like part of the scenery.
It was mind boggling to see all the behind the scenes things that went
on, as it almost made him forget there was a game still to be played and
that he was in a huge domed stadium, until finally they were brought out
from the back rooms. Just seeing the field for the first time sent a
chill down his spine before he quickly needed to be sure not to lose a
moment of concertation, almost tripping as his thin heel sunk in the
turf. He straightened his ankle and then straightened his mind, as he
was in his glory looking up at the stadium's grandeur. Being on the
field was a moment he'd only fantasized about in his dreams, yet he
quickly needed to get his head on right, never expecting the moment to
be in pumps, shaking off his daydreams as luckily he'd be mostly in
sneakers when it was time to perform.
When the walkthrough ended, he was humbled and excited, feeling alive
and eager to get home to his family and tell them everything.
That first half day off after a gruelling week felt like a long weekend
the moment he kicked up his feet at home as he enjoyed every second
spending it with his family and Lori as she came over to see him in the
flesh. Even though every night he had relayed every detail to his mother
and texted or chatted with Lori every chance he gotten, it still almost
felt like he had really spent no time with them in months. Just laughing
and having a dinner at home without dealing with anything about the team
or the big game was the most welcome feeling, as he was just one of the
family hearing all about them instead of the other way around. He was
emotional, handing them their unexpected tickets, as they were thrilled
they could come and see him, even from the nose bleed seats.
He had felt so guilty getting t
