New Girl in School 2: Boy Meets Girl?
(Note: I'll refer to the main character as Chloe when in disguise going
forward and as M when not)
So, a few weeks had past and Chloe still couldn't find this mobster son.
Granted, Leavitt Jones High School was quite a big school with a sizable
population of about 3000 students but the search shouldn't be akin to a
needle in a haystack. She turned her best to not let this surface while
she was at school, but nearly every day after school, she got home
frustrated but luckily her 'pleasure time' helped with that. She nearly
felt like it was going to be all for naught.
Nevertheless, Chloe had gained some her new friends. Though, that might
have been due to her a foreigner and thus got instant sympathy and
concern. She gained a few friends who she met up with during lunch. They
included Claire, a dark haired bespectacled beauty who was similar to
Chloe in manner; Miranda, a short haired dye pink energetic and sporty
girl (some would say tomboy) and finally Paul a guy that was nice to
hang out but was keen on not having a relationship, mainly due to him
being more of a nerd; he was helping out Chloe with Eng Comp. Having
some friends would be of help in her search for this mobster's son,
though that last part was something kept to herself.
One day during lunch, Chloe was chatting with Claire when she spotted
someone entering the lunchroom. He was a thin rake of a young man, with
short dark hair and average looks. He was looking around, as if on the
watchout for someone or something. Chloe then asked Claire, "Say who is
that?" pointing to the young guy. Claire turned around, adjusting her
glasses a bit, to take a good look at him. "Oho, that must be Joey
Palmer, junior year." It helped that Claire was the information girl of
the school, with her personal notebook she kept on her person at all
times. It was at that moment, that Chloe realized that who she was
after, for the mission.
Flashback to the weekend before
Chloe went to the town mall to meet up with some Agency people. She
turned up at the mall wearing a light green one piece body hugging
dress, but with light colored stockings and heels on her feet. She had
on her usual headband, ear studs with some bracelets on the wrists and a
small ring on her left hand. Since the sun was out, it was around noon,
she had on a pair of flashy aviator shades she had on her face. She had
her green purse slung on the shoulder and she entered into the mall, she
got some attention. But she moved to the food court where her Agency
mates were waiting.
She got there and looked around til she spotted two rather odd looking
fellows. She sighed to herself man some of these Agency guys can't hide
for shit. She walked towards them casually, trying not to make
attention. One of the fellows was a stout figure, not really fat more
stocky wearing glasses and a business suit, but not entirely tidy it
would seem. He had a briefcase by his feet and a full plate of food. The
other fellow she couldn't quite make out as he decked out in full
overcoat, scarf and hat, obscuring his total physical appearance which
might work out in dark cool alleys but in full daylight on a warm
September day it was bloody murder to wear so many layers. Chloe would
know a thing or two about wearing too many layers heh.
Chloe finally got to their table and sat down and spoke flatly, "So this
is the best the Agency can offer eh? For all my troubles this better be
good," making sure to smooth out her dress while sitting. She glanced at
the two men and then the stocky one spoke up jovially in reply, after
eating up a chicken leg. "Oh good then you must be the operative?" His
speech garbled by food chew. "Why yes, I am. You may call me Chloe," she
responded and extended her hand meekly towards the man, then retracting
it back quickly to realize her hand was a bit greasy-dang it that will
need to cleaned on the way back. "Ah but Chloe isn't your actual name is
it, Operative Changeling M correct?" the taller cloaked fellow spoke up,
in a low and gruff monotone manner. "Right you are good sir, but an
Agency member never reveals their true names now unless requested what
might your names be?" Chloe whispered to the both of them, again trying
not to draw attention.
"You may call me Mr. X," the tall cloaked guy responded and extending a
hand towards the stout one as he was eating another chicken leg, "and he
can be called Morton Renard for the sake of simplicity." Morton then
nodded in agreement, muttering, "Indeed," as he resumed eating. Oh
great, Chloe thought, so one of the top Agency advisors (designated by
single Alphabet letters) and some analyst I suppose. "So, what's the
purpose of this meeting?"
Chloe finally inquired after introductions were made and wanted to get
on with it. "Ah well yes we have some business to tend to with regards
to your current mission," X stated back then pushed forward a food
container with the word SALAD on it. "Mind having a bite miss?"
"Oh, yes thank you I am feeling a bit peckish," Chloe replied - she had
have breakfast just a few hrs ago but a light lunch wouldn't hurt. She
began to nibble on the salad as Mr. X continued. "Ok so first off, you
will be assigned a handler, Morton here you will be staying you for the
duration of the mission. If anybody asks, just say that he is your dad,"
finishing with a slight smirk, but hidden to Chloe mostly. Chloe then
nearly got up in surprise. "What this stout oaf?!" she exclaimed before
turning into a whisper. "Oh you got to be kidding me, for one thing he
looks nothing like me!" she said with gritted teeth. "Oi, settle down,"
Morton retorted back putting down the chicken "You can always say that
you got everything from your mum right?" Morton then chuckled a bit. "Oh
don't worry I won't be moving in til next week," Morton uttered
dismissively. Sighing heavily, Chloe settled back down.
Mr X resumed, "Anyway, your mission is to find the son of a high profile
mob boss who's wanted for some pretty high level crimes." He pushed
forward a dossier which Chloe opened up. "Eddie Kurtz-wanted for a
couple murders and fraud and a stack of other offenses that I don't need
to mention here but suffice to say he recently went into hiding about a
a year or two ago." Mr X paused for effect to allow Chloe to process.
"He has a son, Joey Kurtz who is likely also in hiding as well. We
received word of a Joey Palmer attending the school you are attending.
Perhaps a coincidence, perhaps not-we need you to check to be sure." Mr
X handed her a picture of Joey Kurtz
Morton intervened at this point. "We suspect that he might be involved
with his dad's criminal activity but we can't know for sure." He then
pointed a finger to Chloe. "You are to find him and figure that out.
Hence why I will be joining up with you, for once you work that out we
can then plan out the next step." Chloe nodded back silently as she
finished up the salad.
Back to present day
Oh ok, there's my target there, Chloe thought to herself. She then spoke
to Claire quickly, "Hey get him to come over here please." Claire was
taken aback at her friend's urgence, but quickly figured it out. "Aha
taking a fancy?" she asked Chloe. "Hehe, something like that," Chloe
replied, blushing a bit. Claire nodded, understanding her friend's
shyness then called out, "Hey Joey come over here!" Joey stopped in
place and walked over to where Claire and Chloe were sitting. "Oh hey
Claire what's up? Oh a new friend eh?" Joey stated in a sort of awkward
tone as if he was flustered by Chloe's appearance before extending a
hand towards Chloe.
Ohoho, if only you knew, Joey Palmer or should I say Joey Kurtz, Chloe
thought as she put her thoughts in line about her mission.
Next time: Chloe go out Joey on a first date, ah young love. Meanwhile
Chloe has to deal with handler Morton Renard living with her at the
house-might involve a sexy striptease, who knows? This part didn't have
much masking involved, mostly setting up the situation and providing
context but don't worry the next part will have some.
