Chloe froze in that moment she heard the announcement over the school
intercom. What is doing on, she thought worryingly. M, in her mind's
realm, was trying to think a way out of this situation. She stared off for
a moment, before hearing a voice: "Hey Chloe, you going to the office?",
Claire her friend and study partner, asking with concern. "Ah, it's
nothing, well I suppose I'd best go see about this. Perhaps we can meet up
tomorrow afternoon at your house for some more studying?" Claire nodded
and responded "I'll text you later then, Chloe and good luck" with a
thumbs up and a smile. Thank you Claire, Chloe thought wistfully as she
got up with her school materials and purse, then walked down the hall to
the main office.
Chloe walked down urgently to the front office when she heard the front
desk receptionist chatting with someone, she heard a distinct accent to
the other person. No way, it can't be... her, M thought as Chloe went into
the front office. There, the receptionist saw Chloe come in and inquired
"Ah, Chloe so good to see you dear, she must be your dear Aunt Katt
correct?" Chloe took a moment to take in this 'Aunt Katt'. She was quite
tall, nearly 6 feet towering over Chloe a good head or so. She had short
brown hair, done up in a pageboy style cut. She wore a simple business
suit with pants, looking much like a upper class business woman, wearing
it nicely enough to accentuate her nice if simple curves. But then Chloe
took in her face: Minimal makeup on her tan skin, but two things caught
her attention. First, her eyes were a dark violet color, reminding one of
the wine dark sea an old blind hermit mentioned in some old poem. Second,
there placed along her right cheek, a scar running down the face from the
right eye down to the chin, shaped almost like a crescent moon. Ah I see
the game, M thought, good to see you again... Katt.
Chloe composed herself and spoke up, "Oh yes Aunt Katt, I didn't think you
would come yo visit me this weekend. Surely you should have contacted Dad
about that?" She stared at 'Aunt Katt' with a pouting look. "Haha, I see
you have never changed a bit, my precious Chloe. How are you doing?" Katt
replied back, in a smooth but throaty voice as she brought a hand up to
Chloe's head, patting it softly. Chloe nodded and responded, "Oh good Aunt
Katt-just been studying in preparation for the finals next week." "Ah
excellent, but it must be end of the school day surely? Come, I need a
ride since I want to say hi to my dear brother, you know?" Katt spoke with
a wink and a knowing smile on her face. Aha, I see now, Chloe thought then
uttered, "Well, Katt, I guess you didn't plan this out well enough. Very
well, you can ride with me," taking a moment to notice the suitcase and
another black case strapped to it, long and thin. Hmm, she wondered to
herself as Katt said "Ok thank you Chloe you are a darling." as the two
walked out to the parking lot.
As soon as they got Katt's stuff in the back, they got into the car, ready
to head back to Chloe's house. At first, the two were silent as Chloe was
driving with Katt fiddling her fingers along her long dark case. Finally
the silence was broken:
"So, kid, long time no see....."
"Can it, Katt, we are still near the school, wait til we get back to the
safe house."
"What, is that anyway to treat your dear lover..." nearly reaching over to
Chloe's cheek to peck it while craning a hand near Chloe's waist.
"Former lover, correction... former lover, though you have my thanks
during that time," pushing Katt aside-"Besides I am driving right now."
"I could drive something right now, myself.... rev up an engine so to
speak"
"Now is not the time for that, but maybe later."
"Oh you are no fun, but thank you... Mike."
"It's no longer Mike, Aunt Katt, I am Chloe now-another correction,"
staring at her passenger with a weary look on her face. Chloe shot back
"So, what are you doing out here?"
"Oh well, you know....you hadn't called or left me some snail mail....so I
came looking for you," Katt uttered in response, clearly dodging Chloe's
eyes.
Noticing the case, Chloe remarked, "Wait, that's a sniper rifle isn't it?
Oh my god...." Chloe realized as Katt smirked a wry smile.
"Why yes, I found out about your little excursion on Black Friday, so I
decided to tag along, tee-hee."
"How much do you know about my mission here?" Chloe asked urgently,
clutching the steering wheel tightly.
"You want the rumor mill or will you give me the straight version?" Katt
asked, with a hardy chuckle.
"Ok then, I got a mission tracking down a mobster and have found a lead in
his son who goes to the local high school, but ran into a hitch on
that...."
"Oho a hitch or perhaps a.... private itch? Heh," Katt replied back almost
jokingly. "But you should be glad I saved your backside there."
"Alright well, that help wasn't needed but thanks anyway I suppose.
Anyway, we are here," Chloe stated as they pull into the driveway of the
safe house.
The car stopped in the driveway. Chloe and Katt exited the car, with Katt
carrying her gun case with Chloe carrying not just her schoolbag but
Katt's suitcase. Chloe strode quickly in front of Katt to open the front
door. "Why thank you dear" Katt spoke as the front door opened then pecked
Chloe on the cheek. She blushed then uttered dismissively "Ok you got that
now get in now! Daddy will need to know about this," as Chloe walked in
confidently. She looked around, not seeing Morton lounging around so
shouted out, "Hey Daddy we got a visitor!"
She could hear the rustling from the room down to the left from the living
room, where Morton slept. Morton came stumbling out, wearing a ruffled
white undershirt and green plaid pajama pants-clearly he had been doing
either a remote work day or pulled an all nighter, Chloe thought. Morton
wiped his yes clear of sleep dust and muttered, "Oh hey Chloe welcome
back... oh hello, who is this beautiful visitor Chloe?" pointing to Katt,
who struck a predatory pose in front of Morton. "Why, I am Katt Anderson,
you silly man," she responded with a rather thick Slavic accent, giving
him an accusatory glance. Chloe then spoke up, "That's just her code name,
a nom de plume. Her real name is Katarina Janiszewski, a former agent
working for some East European spy firm. I met her some years back while
on a mission, some after we hit it off...." before getting interrupted by
Katt.
Katt continued, "And well, the rest is wonderful history, darling," as she
wrapped her arms around Chloe, but she was not cool with that. "But then
we parted ways, as you do. But then I came back into Mike's life after his
'incident', serving as a nurse during his recovery. Isn't that right dear,
darling?" Katt cooed into Chloe's ear before getting yanked away by one of
Chloe's arms. "Yes and once again thanks for that, but you can drop the
lovely dovey act, Katt, please." Chloe spoke even toned but with a
dismissive edge to it. Katt, pouting, responded, "Oh boo you are no fun.
Anyway who is this person?" pointing a finger towards Morton. "Ah that's
Morton, my handler for my current assignment-information analyst for The
Agency." Chloe mentioned as Morton moved forward to shake hands with Katt.
"Charmed, I take it part East European and Turkish or Middle Eastern
heritage eh?" Morton mused. Katt nodded. "Why yes, my father was a former
official with the KGB during the Cold War and my mother was the daughter
of a Turkish government bureaucrat-they hit it off like firecrackers,"
sighing wistfully. "Oh I didn't mean to pry too much..." "Oh don't worry,
both are chilling in a high end retirement community in the south of
France, somewhere-Mother sometimes sends me a postcard, unmarked of
course. Suffice to say my dad made a lot of enemies so discretion is the
better part of valor when contacting them heh."
Chloe eyed Katt cautiously, then pressed a question to her. "So.....what
are you really doing here?" Katt looked around, trying to avoid answering
then sighed and replied, "Well, here's the thing....I recently got
contracted by the US govt to track down some stolen gold from Fort
Knox.... details are a bit fuzzy for me, but I have been spending the
better part of a year to find out who took it and why...." before Katt saw
that Chloe stood frozen. "Wait, are you alright darling?" Chloe shook it
off, stating, "Oh it's nothing." Katt nodded back, with a look of concern.
"Oh well maybe we can chat later about that, how about I treat your guys
to dinner?" Katt spoke up gladly, with a small smile. Morton and Chloe
both nodded, with Chloe suggesting, "Oh we can just order out some pizza
that would be fine." "Excellent, give the local pizza joint a call and
have them deliver."
They ordered some pizza for dinner. There was a funny moment where the
pizza guy came to the door, only to be greeted by Katt wearing a skimpy
red negligee which surprised the poor guy. Chloe had to groan at that and
pull Katt away before she did something....naughty. The pizza dinner went
well. But it seems as though Katt and Chloe were just acting through the
motions, something was clearly bothering both of them. Morton tried his
best to make the atmosphere amicable with jokes and stories he had, which
garnered some chuckles from Katt.
Soon, Morton excused himself to his bedroom; he had some work to attend
to. Katt and Chloe then walked over to Chloe's room for some girl talk. Or
at least that's what they had told Morton before he headed back. Katt
grinned to Chloe as the two made their way into the bedroom, which Chloe
took with a note of caution. "Hey now, no funny stuff....yet anyway,"
before grinning herself. "Oh don't worry, I'll be the most gentle kitten
for you." They enter Chloe's bedroom. "Oho, look at this, if I didn't know
any better, I'd say you were a teenage girl from France," cocking her head
around the room Chloe slept in. "Hmm I smell lavender, nice choice girl,"
pulling a thumbs up towards Chloe. Chloe smirked a bit at that, "Oh thanks
Katt," as she strode over to the mirror. She had on a mild pink night
shirt with french gray pajama pants, with pearl white slippers adorning
her feet. Katt walked behind her, wearing a skimpy red negligee. To anyone
else, they looked like a demure girl with her more older daring friend
standing behind her. Katt wrapped her arms around Chloe, preparing for a
more intimate gesture.
But then Chloe pushed her away. "Is something wrong, M? I know you get
that way when you are troubled," Katt asked with concern tinging her
voice. Chloe looked downcast. "Well, my mission has hit a bit of a
snag...." looking embarrased. Katt suddenly lit up and smirked. "Oho, it
be a heart....or mind problem?" Chloe shuddered at the notion, then
replied, "A Little of both, but mainly a heart problem....." "Aha you have
fallen for you mission target eh? Heh wouldn't be the first time." Chloe
turned away in shame. "Considering that's how we met, a lesbian one night
stand, remember, Ms. Amy Wellson....or was it Kelly Valentine..." Katt
spoke softly as that name sent a primal shudder in Chloe. "Oh yes I
remember that night...." Chloe/M spoke up, savoring that memory but
gearing herself back to reality. "But there's a rub....Joey might be an
innocent in all this, and I am not sure what to do," Chloe stated
decisively as she turned towards Katt, face to face. "Is that Chloe
talking or M?" Katt asked quietly. "Sometimes I wonder.... if its me or
her," M finally responded as himself, sounding out of place coming from
Chloe's mouth.
Katt sounded off. "You need to get it together and not let indecision
waver your resolve, Chloe," pointing a finger right into Chloe's face. "If
you truly have feelings for this boy, stick to it to the end-it worked out
so well the last time with me right?" Chloe nodded in response. "Even if
he finds out who I am?" Chloe asked, with a troubled look on her face.
Katt then kissed her on the cheek, prompting a surprised look on Chloe's
face. "As long as you explain it clearly, I am sure he will understand."
Katt spoke softly as she pulled away from the kiss. "And besides I will
always have your back when you need it, count on it."
"Anyway, I will be around for some time to figure out this whole Fort Knox
business," Katt said matter of fact. "Ah, I must have figured that since
you brought that monster of a suitcase....so are you staying here?" Chloe
asked flatly. Katt looked aghast then composed herself, stating, "Hmm well
depends on whether I am wanted or not...." eyeing Chloe with hungry eyes
of desire. Chloe decided to play coy. "Oho, I am quite a virgin
though...." "Well as you are of consenting age, all is fine with me..." as
she pulled Chloe away from the mirror and onto her bed, with Chloe laying
on the bed and Katt standing atop her. "I promise to be gentle, ma petite
fleur."
............
The next morning, Chloe got up. Man last night was something else,thank
god its the weekend. She looked over to the part of the bed where Katt
lay. Chloe cracked a smile as she saw Katt stir and get up as well, a
blanket swaddling her around the waist, revealing her exposed breasts.
Katt looked to Chloe, then smiled back and uttered quite sexily, "Well,
was it good for you too?" then laughing heartily the two embraced each
other. May be best to have her around for a while, Chloe/M thought. Chloe
did her exams the following Monday and Tuesday then spent the 2 week break
spending time with Morton and Katt.
..............
Meanwhile, Ed Kurtz was sitting in his garage office looking over some
documents. Then Roger walked in, with a look of amusement. "What's so
funny, Roger?" Ed Kurtz asked briskly. "What happened with that Black
Friday excursion?" "Well we hit a snag, but got the documents you needed,
sir," Roger stated as he bowed a little to Kurtz. "Well I suppose I can
overlook my son getting injured a bit, the boy will recover in time. But
any idea on who might have intervened?" Roger shrugged noncommitally. "No
idea yet, but I might have an avenue from which to figure out...." walking
out, smirking to himself. "Very well Roger, do what you need to do..."
Next Time: The Spring Term begins with Chloe and Joey continuing their
relationships while keeping stuff from each other, when will it boil over?
Also, Roger might be up to something but to what end? Find out next time
in Part 10.
