Robin reflects on High School
Robin Jacobson and his cousin Beth were in the cafeteria of their
Pennsylvania High School, both wearing the white robes and mortarboards of
graduating senior girls. Underneath their robes they were both wearing
pastel colored dresses, required by their high school dress code for
graduation. Both girls were of course wearing heels, as they were both
eighteen years old. Like every other girl in their graduating class, they
had their purse makeup bags out, with compacts open, and were doing a final
touch-up of their hair and makeup. As usual, Robin was applying his
signature bright red lipstick to match his nails, making a sharp contrast to
his robe. So what was the disconnect between the teens actions and attire,
and the male pronoun?
In short, for the past eight years Robin had been forcibly feminized by his
mother and aunt, with willing assistance from his three genetically female
cousins, one of whom was only a few feet away from him, also reapplying her
makeup. His mother had tricked him into wearing dresses the summer after
fourth grade while vacationing at the farm, and then had spring the news
that he would stay in them when school started, as they were moving from the
Jersey Shore to the PA farm where he now lived. He had been enrolled in the
local school district as a transgender student for fifth grade and beyond,
put on prescribed androgen blockers and estrogen shots and pills, and
immersed exclusively in the most ultra-girlie activities possible. As
Robin, a girl, she had even had a boyfriend since seventh grade, a bisexual
young man named Kevin, who amazingly, she was deeply in love with. She had
spent six years as a cheerleader and was enrolled in both gymnastics and
ballet class. In short, from a normal male Tae Kwon Do junior red belt
(same as brown), he was now considered to be one of the most feminine girls
in the school in every way-especially dress. She wore almost exclusively
dresses and skirts, with full makeup and perfect nails almost all the time.
Her body was extremely curvy and girlish in all but one area, and she was
only allowed to wear slacks or jeans on the coldest days in the winter. In
Pa, however, that happened a lot. Her mother had been not so subtlely
trying to convince her to have full gender confirmation surgery as soon as
possible after graduation. All the other women in the house heartily agreed
with this idea. For years, Robin had fought against the idea, but seven and
a half years of estrogen had done a real number on her mind and emotions.
Her relationship with Kevin had helped a lot in that regard, too. She
often dreamed of giving herself to him as a complete woman in every way.
While she couldn't have his babies, they could share complete intimacy in
every other way. If she had the affirmation surgery. While she was making
herself pretty, her thoughts went back over the last four years of her life,
since graduating from the eighth grade and entering as a freshman.
Since both she and Beth had been cheerleaders all through middle school, and
captains as eighth graders, it was a foregone conclusion they would be
trying out for the junior varsity squad as ninth graders. Since the squad
would consist of those girls moving up from middle school, plus the girls
from one year ahead of them, all of whom they knew well, neither of them
harbored any thoughts of NOT making the squad, though this was the first
year they had to actually compete for a position. The summer before grade
nine, they presented themselves with about fifty others, practiced for a
week with them, and then performed their best routines before a panel of
senior cheerleaders and the coach. To absolutely no ones surprise, both
Beth and Robin received the highest scores from the judges, and were
informed they would be wearing the blue and white uniforms and representing
their school as JV cheerleaders. The year went reasonably normally for two
pretty cheerleaders after that.
School started, and with that, more difficult classes then they had taken in
the past. Of course, Beth's sister Angela was a junior and could help them
with most of their coursework, though she really didn't want to be seen with
two freshmen, even though she loved them both dearly and they were
relatives. It just wasn't done, and both freshman girls understood
completely. Besides, Angie wasn't a cheerleader, she was actually a member
of the girls soccer, basketball and softball teams-in other words, from the
ultra feminine girlie girl she used to be, she had turned into a jockette.
Still very feminine, but nowhere near as over the top as she used to be-or
Robin still was. But the girls buckled down and made good grades in all
their classes. Beth seemed to be better in literature and history classes,
while Robin excelled in mathematics and science. So they helped each other.
The homecoming dance was coming up, and normally neither of the girls would
have had a problem finding a date, and true to form, Beth didn't. a
sophomore football player was the first to ask her, and she immediately
accepted. Robin was a little bit different. Even though she was a
cheerleader and one of the prettiest girls in the school, it was well known
that she had been born a boy, and was still in fact, male physically in the
most important area. Not one of the 'normal' boys would dream of being seen
with her on a date, though many wished things were different. Luckily, she
had Kevin, her bf since seventh grade. He had originally come out as gay,
but had quickly decided he was in fact bisexual. In other words, he could
achieve satisfaction with either gender, though he was very much in love
with Robin-not because she was in fact truly a male, but with her feminine
presentation and mannerisms. He had decided that he could be quite happy
with Robin, whether or not she chose to have gender affirmation surgery.
Secretly, he hoped that she would, and they could be together in full
intimacy as husband and wife.
Fall came and went, with the girls cheering their little hearts out for the
freshmen and sophomores on the jv football team. Beth's boyfriend was a
standout wide receiver, and in the teams 12 games, caught passes for fifteen
touchdowns and caught enough passes for over a hundred yards in each,
averaging more than 100 yards a game. He was on track to be All State in
his senior year, with numerous universities hoping to land him with a full
scholarship. Kevin scored an average of two goals per game for the soccer
team, with several 'hat tricks', and was much a standout in his sport as
Paul (Beths BF) was in his. The four double dated to the winter ball, and
Beth was chosen as one of the princesses, again to absolutely no one's
surprise. Robin didn't really expect to be chosen for such a position,
since even though everyone accepted her as a girl (except himself
sometimes!), there was still that little bit of knowledge. Dance royalty
was a female position, and Robin really wasn't-sort of. She was surprised
to find that the knowledge hurt her. A lot. She realized that most of the
time, she wanted nothing more than to be just another biological XX female.
With all that it entailed, given her closeness to her three cousins,
including seventh grader Carol. This surprised her, especially when she
realized that very soon she would have to make the decision whether or not
to complete the journey to being as much of a physical female as it was
possible for her to achieve. She was seriously leaning in that direction.
But she had three years to make her final decision (actually more, though
her mother wanted her on a plane the day after graduation). Being a
basketball cheerleader also helped in that thought process. There was
absolutely nothing masculine in her life, with the exception of her now
useless male appendage, and being as deep into the world of females as she
was, she was actually having trouble remembering any part of her past life.
Though it was almost eight years ago, and she had only been ten years old
when she had been forcibly transitioned. Though now absolutely no force was
involved-she was happily totally feminine in her mind and soul.
Basketball season came and went with no big events. While her school had an
outstanding football team, and was better than average in soccer and
baseball, they lacked the height to do well in basketball. In addition to
their games against teams from their own and adjacent counties, the PA
athletic commission desired rural and suburban schools to schedule games
against teams from inner cities such as South and West Philadelphia. Their
county high school had three such games scheduled, all from philly, and they
were soundly beaten in all of them. Their opponents were all much taller
than them, and all of the players spent a lot of their time playing pickup
ball from the time they could pick one up. But Robin and her friends
cheered their best for their boys, as did the girls from the opposing teams.
They watched in amazement as the philly girls did semi-erotic dance routines
even as freshmen, all of which would be banned at their school if they tried
to perform them. Eventually, the lackluster season ended and baseball
began, which meant the cheer season was over for them. Tryouts would be
held in the summer for the team again, and as tenth graders, they would be
in the running for co-captains of that squad also. Just as they had been in
eighth grade.
Neither of the girls would be able to go to the prom, since they were
freshmen, and neither of their boyfriends was a junior or senior. Angie,
however would be going. She was a junior, and while she didn't have a
steady boyfriend, she did date several boys friend from the various sports
teams. The first one to ask her to the event was a senior boy from both
football and basketball, and she excitedly agreed to go with him. This set
up the frantic process that most upper class high school girls for the last
fifty years or so are quite familiar with. In other words, getting ready
for prom, especially finding the dress. And shoes. And purse. And
lingerie. And makeup. As with most girls, prom was going to be an
expensive undertaking. Her date would be responsible for their tickets,
dinner beforehand, and their share of the limo. She would still be
outspending him. Her dress alone cost almost three hundred dollars, not to
mention her accessories and hair/nail/makeup appointments. While her two
cousins offered to help, especially with nails since Robin was an expert,
Angie thanked them but said she wanted to experience the whole thing with
her eleventh and twelfth grade friends. The big night came, Angie looked
more beautiful than she ever had, which was saying something since she was
considered to be one of the prettiest girls in their school. Robin and
Beth, and to a lesser extent Carol, were looking forward to when their time
would come. Actually, Beth might be able to go next year, since her steady
was a year ahead of them. But Robin was happy with Kevin, who was in their
grade, and wasn't going to try to hook up with someone else (even if it had
been a possibility) just to go. She wouldn't do that to the boy who had
stood by her for seven years and looked to be around for many more, if he
had anything to say about it.
Since the prom was near the end of the school year (late May to be exact),
Robin and Beth's freshman year was coming to an end. Both girls were on the
high honor roll, as was Angela and even Carol down in middle school. Angie
got a summer job in one of the mall clothing stores catering to teen girls,
while Beth and Robin were as of yet too young for that. They planned on
spending the summer as they always had-lounging by the town pool, hanging
with friends and in August, going to cheer tryouts. Perfect summer for an
almost grade 10 girl, maybe not so much for a transgirl who was planning on
surgery-but still wasn't completely sure. Since it was irreversible, she
wasn't going to succumb to pressure, even from her mother. If it was wrong
for her, and she later changed her mind, the results would be tragic. Of
course, she could never be a father, or even have normal male relations
with a woman-after almost eight years of blockers and hormones, her genitals
were much too damaged for that. But even if they were effectively useless,
there was still the sense of having them-and still being a male, though a
sterile one. Then again, being a female had morphed from being something
forced on her, into something she actually reveled in. Gymnastics, ballet,
cheerleading (especially), a boyfriend (also especially), cute clothing,
makeup, pretty lingerie and heels-since she didn't have a monthly visitor to
worry about, there was really nothing about her current status she disliked.
She had absolutely no problems wearing a dress or applying lipstick in
public, so the earlier humiliation she had endured as a fifth grader was
totally gone. While she still hadn't made up her mind, her choice was
becoming more and more clear. Three years to go.
Practice in August started as her previous three years had. the new tenth
graders took charge of the many hopefuls, and taught them all they needed to
know. They were wary though-while it was rare, it was not unknown for a new
girl to bump a sophomore off the squad. Robin and Beth however, knew that
they had nothing to worry about in that regard-neither did any of the
returning sophomores this year. And as everyone connected to the squad from
the principal to the athletic director to the coach to the other girls knew,
Robin and her cousin Beth were selected as co-captains for the junior
varsity cheer squad, repeating their performance from eighth grade. It
wasn't really surprising. With only a few exceptions, the squad was made up
of the same girls that their grade eight year had consisted of. They all
knew each other, were all friends, and planned on several team building
parties for the next month. Starting with a sleepover. Every one of the
moms and dads of the girls on the team was completely used to having Robin
there-she had long been considered just another girl by almost all of the
town, except for a few homophobes and two of the town pastors. But they
were shouted down when they attempted to darken Robin's name with
pronouncements of 'sin' and 'predatory pervert'. Their hatred didn't go
anywhere. The girls spent the evening doing what all teenaged girls do at
sleepovers-painted their nails, did makeovers on each other, danced, ate
junk food, watched a chick flick and talked about boys. Nothing out of the
ordinary. None of the genetic girls were in the least upset about having
Robin there-they had all known her for years and knew quite well that she
was both physically incapable of acting as a male and emotionally female
also. She was one of them.
The year started-pep rallies, homecoming, winter ball, everything was just
as it should be. Beth went with Paul to the dances and planned on going to
prom with him. Robin had Kevin, and their relationship was stronger than
ever. It was during the winter of grade ten that she decided that she was
going to do for him what every male most desires from his female partner,
aside from regular intercourse. They were necking in his car when she
unzipped his fly and pulled out his male appendage, and then leaned over and
kissed the tip. She ran her tongue up the underside and then took him in
her mouth. The inevitable result was practically instantaneous, given
Kevin's age and inexperience. He was embarrassed, but Robin told him it was
ok, and that he would last longer next time, a pronouncement that almost
caused him to lose it a second time. The two got themselves together, Robin
wiped herself off and reapplied her lipstick (the remnants of which were
emblazoned on Kevin's manhood) and the two went back to their normal
humdrum lives as high school sophomores. Robin and Beth were extremely
close, and usually shared everything. She wondered if this was something
she should talk about, and just how far Beth had gone with Paul. She was
sure she'd find out.
That set the pattern for many of Robin and Kevin's dates. Not all, she
wasn't going to turn into a slut whose only purpose was to satisfy his
sexual urges. But often enough to keep it exciting. In conversation with
her cousin, she found out that Beth and Paul had actually had real
intercourse, though they had naturally used protection. He had gone out of
town to buy the necessary articles, since everyone in town knew him, and who
he was dating. He didn't want Beth to feel embarrassed.
The team had a highly successful season in both football and soccer. Paul
and Kevin were standouts, with Paul catching 22 touchdown passes and Kevin
scoring almost 30 goals with an equal number of assists. Basketball as
usual sucked, and with the end of basketball season, Beth and Robin's JV
cheerleader careers came to an end. This summer they hoped to move into the
big time-Varsity.
Along came May of their sophomore year-and for the first time in a lot of
years Beth and Robin weren't going to take part in the same activity.
Beth's boyfriend Paul was a junior, and so could go to the junior/senior
prom, with an underclass date. Naturally, he was going to take his longtime
girlfriend Beth, and Robin would be left out. Robin wasn't in the least
upset, as she knew she would be going next year, and she was willing to do
everything possible to help her cousin get ready. The girls hit the mall
looking at dresses and accessories, looked through magazines for hairstyles
and makeup techniques, and in general did everything every other girl does
as prom time. She would not be doubling with Angie and her date, nor would
the sisters be sitting at the same table. Angie was a senior, and would be
sitting with other seniors, Beth would be at a table of junior athletes,
with mostly junior dates though there would be one other sophomore
cheerleader at their table, a good friend of Beth and Robin. As most girls
do, Beth was absolutely gorgeous for her boyfriends prom, and it was likely
that they would share some intimacy later on at one of the after prom
parties. Beth had received permission to go to one, with a rather early
curfew, though she wondered just what a curfew was supposed to accomplish.
Did her mom think that sex between teens only occurred after a certain hour?
The school year finally ended, and since the girls were sixteen, they were
old enough to look for jobs. Like most teens, they hit the various girls
clothing stores at the mall in an attempt to be hired. They were in luck-
their strong fashion sense got Beth hired at Aeropostale, and Robin wound up
at Charlotte Russe. Both of their bosses knew they were cheerleaders, and
come August would be involved in that during the day, with school and other
activities beginning in September. No problem, it was a normal event.
Both girls had wonderful times earning their own money for the first time,
with very few restrictions on how it was spent. Since they knew practically
every girl in town, they could and did pass the word on special sales coming
up, new arrivals that hadn't been announced yet but had appeared in various
teen girls magazines and other favors. One thing neither would do was use
their employee discount for their friends on a regular basis, though for the
friends that did have birthdays they would use it on legitimate gifts at
those times. They spent the work hours waiting on customers, providing
security for the dressing rooms, folding and putting away stock and manning
the registers. In other words, what every other girl working in a clothing
store did. And then came August.
The two girls along with the rest of the JV squad and a dozen or so other
girls reported to the school athletic field at a specified date and time.
Time for varsity tryouts, the big time. Robin and Beth fully expected to be
chosen for the squad, along with the rest of the new junior girls. The only
problem was that there was a new transfer student at tryouts, one who had as
much experience as most of the local girls did. And she was good-very good.
It was likely that one of the veterans would lose her spot, and that wasn't
counting any of the other girls who had somehow found a coach and had gotten
much better since last year or before. The cousins didn't feel they would
have any trouble but you never knew!
Tryouts were held, and the results were just as they had expected. Jill,
the new girl took one of the local girls place on the varsity squad, and
Cathy Putnam would remain on the JV squad for another year, though she would
be one of the captains, bumping one of the girls who had expected the job
down, and also keeping one of the freshmen off of the squad. Jill Matthews
had certainly turned into a fly in the ointment, but there was no
resentment-she was good, she had tried out fair and square and had won her
position on the varsity the same way. And if she was that good, she would
only be an asset to the team during competition, while Cathy wasn't as good,
and thus might bring the team down. She was a good friend, but for
competition they needed to be the best they could be. Cathy would be on the
squad next year most likely.
Practice continued during the summer. Robin had been one of the best
cheerleaders on each squad, along with Beth, but Jill was certainly giving
her a run for the money. What Jill didn't know, and at this point there was
no need to tell her, was that Robin was actually transgender. Of course,
she would find out, since the entire town knew (especially the other girls)
and it was inevitable that someone would spill the beans at some point. How
she would react was the question. Even though Robin had been out as trans
for six years, there were still a few religious people in town who objected
to her, especially her presence on the cheerleading squad, and the girls
restrooms-they felt she was only there to prey on the other girls by
pretending to be one of them. The fact that she was out and everyone knew
about her didn't affect their logic one bit-they were still the haters.
They were few and far between now, but if Jill held those views, it would
definitely affect team cohesion. This would show during games, during team
competition and especially during individuals. Beth and a few of the others
decided to feel her out to see what her sentiments were. The answer wasn't
long in coming.
During a conversation in the girls room one day, Beth brought up the topic
of transgender individuals. Jill quickly became disgusted, and stated that
it shouldn't be allowed, and that she didn't want to be associated with any
of those freaks. Who were also sinful and going against their God given
genders. She and her parents would campaign tirelessly to have any of them
expelled from school for the protection of the other students. That pretty
much answered the question. Beth and the others reported back to the coach
that they had a problem with team unity. The coach and principal called a
meeting.
The question was a conflict over the rights of the two individuals involved.
Jill certainly had the right to her beliefs, and the church she belonged to
(which was NOT represented in their town for some reason) was very strict on
the matter. Being in any part of the LGBT spectrum was sinful and not to be
tolerated. As long as Jill merely held those beliefs, and didn't attempt to
act on them, no action would or even could be taken against her. That was
the law.
Robin was transgender. For over six years she had presented as a girl,
taking part in all activities as such, never giving a hint of any other
reason for dressing and acting the part. No one knew that she had been
forced into this role by her mother and other female relatives. She had
never been any sort of threat to the other girls in the restrooms or
anywhere else, so any fears on the part of Jill and her family were
unwarranted. Robin Jacobson had a right to be free of harassment and
discrimination due to her condition. In addition, she was a valued part of
the cheer squad, and had been since seventh grade. She had earned her spot,
and deserved to keep it. In addition, the question of team unity and
harmony was paramount. No member could be permitted to act in a way to
destroy the ability of the girl's ability to perform and compete. It was
decided to have a meeting with the administration and coach, Jill and her
parents and Robin and her mother. The outcome of the meeting would decide
the future of the new girl as a member of the team. Based strictly on her
ability to blend in with the current roster.
The meeting was held as soon as possible. In attendance were Robin, her
mom, Jill with her parents, the principal, the superintendant, the cheer
coach and the school district's attorney. Robin's and Jill's parents both
had an attorney on call should they be necessary. The meeting went pretty
much as expected. The principal began by outlining the problem they all
faced. Both state law and district policy banned discrimination based on
gender presentation. At the same time, Jill had a right to her religious
beliefs, without the privilege of harassing Robin in any way, and both girls
had the right to be members of the cheer squad. However, Jill would NOT be
permitted to disrupt the team, or act in any way that would impair their
ability to perform either on the field or during competition. What happened
next was up to Jill Matthews-and her parents.
The Matthews family, being strict fringe Pentecostals were adamant that
Robin should NOT be allowed to associate with the decent girls of the squad.
She-or he as they insisted in referring to Robin, should certainly not be
allowed to use the girls restrooms or present as a female in school. While
perverts such as Robin may have had rights, unfortunately, they did too.
They insisted that their daughter was in danger from the predator, and
demanded protection. The fact that she had been on hormones and was totally
non functional made no difference to them. According to them, the only
reason she would be in female clothing and using the girl's restrooms was to
find an opportunity to get some younger girl alone and assault her. The
question was therefore put directly to Jill Matthews. Would she, or would
she not treat Robin as the girl she presented as and therefore act as a
member of a unified squad? If she gave her word that she would, then fine.
If she would not, then there was no alternative but to remove her from the
squad for harassment and team disruption. The attorney mentioned that
removing her for those reasons was valid-she could believe as she wished,
but she could not harass another student. The Matthews' sputtered that they
were being persecuted for their religious beliefs, and Jill had the right to
act on those beliefs otherwise they meant nothing. The school could not
stop her from acting to protect herself from rape in the ladies room.
Robin's attorney was on speaker, and informed the Matthews family that any
unsubstantiated accusion of improper behavior would be responded to with a
lawsuit for slander. Freedom of religion was an absolute as far as belief
went, but it was NOT a license to break the law or harass/discriminate
against another person, especially in school where learning was the goal,
and needed protection itself. The Matthews family spoke with their attorney
(provided by the American Family Associaton) who informed them that with a
determined opponent, it was best to capitulate. They were used to facing
people who were willing to fold in the face of a determined attack
themselves. It was obvious that wasn't going to happen here-this was
Pennsylvania, not Mississippi. In a southern state, majority religious
views would be on their side, but here, the 'liberals' had taken over
everything and they would most likely lose, both in court and in public
opinion. Jills choice was to quit the cheer squad or to asknowledge Robin
as a girl, and stay away from her as much as possible. There were stalls in
the ladies rooms, so no one would see anyone else, and the school would
ensure that they wouldn't be partners while cheering. That was the choice.
The Matthews family conferred, and since Jill really wanted to remain on the
squad, it was decided that she would end her campaign of bigotry and adopt a
live and let live attitude. As their attorney had stated, this wasn't the
fundamentalist south-it was PA, and they needed to conform as much as
possible to the attitudes here in order to survive. While there were
pockets of conservative Christianity in the area, the vast majority of the
state didn't follow their views. The conference ended with both families
leaving and going in opposite directions. It was obvious that Robin and
Jill would never be friends. It was also obvious that the two girls were
probably the best ones on the squad, and they would have multiple run-ins in
the future, especially when it came time to choose co-captains in their
senior year. Beth had been co-captain in both eighth grade and for the JV
squad, as had Robin. One of the girls would most likely be left out next
year, and naturally that would cause more hard feelings. It was likely that
the varsity squad would NOT place in district competition this year, let
alone even make states, regionals or nationals. The bad blood blood between
Robin and Jill would have to be worked out, though to be fair, Robin was
willing to let things go if Jill would. But even though Jill agreed to stop
harassing Robin, she still despised her and thought she was a sinner and was
bound for hell. Of course, if Robin's mother hadn't started this entire
course of action, Robin wouldnt be a cheerleader or even a girl, and none of
the situation would have ever occurred. Then again, after over six years of
dresses and hormones, Robin was totally feminized and was seriously
considering affirmation surgery after high school graduation. A big change
from her fifth grade mindset.
Football season started and the squad tension was so thick you could cut it
with a knife. All of the girls were close friends of Beth and Robin, had
known her for years and refused to turn on her. Jill was an outsider.
While she wasn't actually shunned, it was obvious that none of the other
girls were going out of their way to be bffs with her either. She did
manage to find some friends-there were other fundamentalist Christians in
the town and school, and she naturally fell in with them. While she
followed the admonition not to spread rumors about her nemesis, it was
perfectly all right for the Bible Study club to discuss what they considered
sin. Jill fit right in with them, even to the bigoted views most of them
held.
The two captains were well aware of the situation, and ensured that the two
girls were as far away from each other as possible. Specifically, the two
ends of the row. The standard formation was for the two captains to stand
in front, and the rest of the squad spread out behind them. It worked.
Even when forming pyramids, the two never came in contact with each other.
Beth and Robin's boyfriends had outstanding seasons, with Paul catching
enough passes to reach 1800 yards with 28 touchdowns. He made all-state,
and received numerous scholarship offers. Kevin scored 35 goals, beating
last years record and was on track for the same thing if he kept it up next
year. The two couples doubled to the winter ball, and the girls looked
absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, Jill was there also, on the arm of a
non-athlete senior who was however, the son of the wealthiest man in town.
He wasn't a fanatic, but he didn't much like Robin Jacobson either. The two
girls encountered each other at the mirror in the ladies room after dinner,
and Jill just couldn't keep her mouth shut. Something about what kind of
man paraded around in dresses and heels, while having enough practice
applying makeup to be able to do it himself? It was totally disgusting.
Robin was smart enough to keep quiet and not join in the verbal sparring,
especially since she knew the altercation would get back to the coach and
principal. Jill might lose her spot, and Robin had no wish to join her.
Cousin Beth was actually angrier than Robin was. She was getting sick of
the comments, all of which were just within the school behavior code. While
she had no desire to lose her spot on the team due to fighting, she really
wished she could haul off and teach the bigoted bitch a lesson. Perhaps
next summer, out of school her chance would come. For now, she just wanted
to get through her junior year and enjoy basketball season.
Said basketball season went pretty much the same as the previous two had-too
many games against better inner city Philadelphia teams to rack up any kind
of a decent record. The cheerleaders from those schools had gotten bolder
and much more suggestive-read sluttier-in their routines. For once Robin
and Jill agreed on something-those routines had no place in their town. Or
anywhere. Jill was surprised to see Robin having some kind of moral values,
since she was a god-cursed tranny. But she showed a little compassion in
this instance and smiled at Robin and agreed with her publically. At least
it was a start towards reapproachment. But they still weren't friends, and
had as little to do with each other as possible, on and off the court. The
season went as expected, and of course neither Robin nor Beth, nor Jill was
chosen to represent their school in the individual championships. That
honor went to one of the senior co-captains. It was fully expected that one
of the three girls would be the representative next year, with two of them
being the captains. It was even money on whether it would be Beth or Jill
left out. Everyone expected that Robin would continue her streak, even if
she was transgender. It had been so long with her living as a girl that no
one really cared, and very few even remembered her as a boy, which was not
surprising. She had never lived in Pa. as a boy, since she had been
forcibly transformed the summer after fourth grade while she and her mother
were just visiting. She had been put into a dress her first night, and that
was all anyone had seen her as. She was simply one of the girls, and one of
the most popular ones at that. What was amazing was that she had been with
the same boyfriend since the winter ball of her seventh grade year-almost
six years now. Kevin had originally been thought of as gay, he even
considered himself such, but he had long since decided that he was actually
bi-with a definite leaning towards straight, especially-or only-with his
lovely girlfriend Robin. She had long since begun having oral sex wih him,
since at that point in her life that was all she could really do. But she
was leaning more and more towards having complete affirmation surgery-and
with the end of her high school career at hand, the time to decide was
getting short. While she could delay, or even continue to live as she was,
it was going to be difficult. She seriously needed to be one or the other.
And going back to male after so many years of being socialized as a girl,
and of course her blockers and hormone regimen, pretty much tipped the
scale. Her three choices were to live as an extremely effeminate, sterile
and impotent male, live as a female with her useless male genitals still
intact, or have the full surgery and live totally as a woman capable of full
female intimacy with her male partner-most likely Kevin. Options A and B
were looking less and less desirable, and she knew that she could have
surgery within a week of graduation, with the summer to pretty much heal
before starting college in the fall. That was also a foregone conclusion.
Like her older, equal age, and younger cousins, she was absolutely going to
college. Since she was now legitimately transgender, she could apply for,
and probably be awarded a scholarship from the International Foundation for
Gender Education-the IFGE. It wouldn't be much, but it would help. She
also decided to study for, and earn an Amateur Radio Licence-become a 'ham'.
Several groups awarded scholarships for that activity also, and being a
female, she had an excellent chance of receiving one from them, too. Even
if she never used her license or bought equipment, though a hand held vhf
radio could be bought for under a hundred dollars, she would be eligible for
the funding. Her younger cousin Carol had been one for several years and had
an impressive station.
Junior year came to a close, finally. July was the time for enjoyment, same
as every other summer, with cheerleader tryouts being held in August. As
expected, she, Jill and her cousin Beth all made the squad. This year,
Cathy Putnam was finally brought up to varsity, and another of the sophomore
girls was passed over. It looked like due to Jill's interference, this was
going to become a tradition, with one of the sophomores every year being
somewhat humiliated. The next question was captains. For several years it
had been assumed that Robin and Beth would take those positions in their
senior year, as they had in middle school and high school jv. This year it
was a three way contest. Robin had long been considered to be the most
skilled member of the cheer squad, with Beth a very close second. Jill and
Beth were about equal. The coach and principal discussed having a three girl
leadership team, but rejected the idea-no school anywhere in their state had
ever had that kind of lineup. And everyone would know it was being done
simply to mollify some of the homophobes who still existed in the town. In
the end, it was Jill's previous behavior that worked against her. Since she
had demonstrated that she was prejudiced against Robin for her trans
presentation, it was felt that she couldn't be a good catalyst for keeping
the team unified, and could likely cause friction. Plus she WAS an
outsider. In a big city that might not have mattered, but this was a small
town, where everyone knew everyone, and had their expectations. There could
be serious local repercussions from many of the townsfolk, who knew and
liked Robin Jacobson, and also her cousin Beth who's family had been there
for generations, if either one were passed over. In the end, it was decided
to award the co-captain slots to the cousins. Since the discussion had
occurred behind closed doors, Jill was unaware of the politics involved, and
it HAD been accomplished via tryout to maintain a semblance of fairness.
Jill was disappointed, but accepted her failure with good grace. She had
gotten to know Robin over the year, and while she still considered her
activities sinful, she had put her animosity aside for the good of the team,
and had actually begun to speak to her on a more or less friendly basis.
While she was an extremely conservative Christian, one of the other girls
had pointed out some relevant verses that Jills parents had overlooked in
imparting their version of religion to her. Jill had been thinking a lot
about the the diverse society she was about to enter in just under a year.
The diversity her parents had desperately tried to shield her from. It
seemed to most of the girls that Jill was finally coming around, though
Robin and especially Beth didn't trust her completely. But they both
independently decided to give her a chance, since they were teammates and
would have to work together. That didn't mean that they would ever be bffs
though.
Their senior summer went as all the others had in their small town.
Practice starting in August, the girls went back to their summer jobs at
Aeropostale and Charlotte Russe, dates with their boyfriends, time at the
pool, the usual. By this time it was impossible to tell that Robin Jacobson
had been born male. She had undergone a 'nip-tuck' procedure to give her a
perfectly flat front, even in a bathing suit. It was so perfect that even
naked, it was impossible to tell that she still had male genitals. Plus her
breasts were a solid C cup by this time. She was somewhat short and quite
slender, and years of chemical alteration had given her a body that could
pass for a genetic female one under almost any circumstances. There was
only one thing wrong, and she was becoming quite sure that she would correct
that as soon as she graduated from High School. Less than a year to go.
As the senior co-captains of the cheerleader squad, the cousins were pretty
much the 'queen bees' of the school, objects of desire to every male and
role models for most of the girls. The female part of the school was quite
lucky this year-Robin and Beth were far from the stereotypical mean girls
that they could have been, given their status. Robin especially didn't want
to fall into that trap, since she knew that even though she had lived as a
female for the last almost 8 years, she was still biologically male. And
would be a genetic one for all of her life, even after her still in the
future surgery. So she acted as a role modes, and went out of her way to be
nice to everyone, even the school nerd types. She didn't have to be their
friends, but she didn't harass them either, and did say hello to those that
she knew by name. Since the school top girls didn't harass the loners, none
of the other girls could either, and as they went, so did the other
cheerleaders. Thus the outsiders had a relatively peaceful year.
The year started pretty much as expected. Football season started, though
this year Beth's boyfriend Paul wasnt on the field, as he had graduated the
previous June. He had elected to stay in-state however, and had accepted a
football scholarship from Penn State. Since he and Beth were still an item,
this enabled the two to see each other often, and she could, on occasion go
to one of his games when they weren't held on the same day as one of her
school's. Robin was still with Kevin, who was an outstanding soccer player.
It was likely he would break the fifty goal mark this year, and half a dozen
division one schools were offering him scholarships also. And also as
expected, their little town fielded an outstanding cheerleader squad, led by
the extremely skilled and attractive cousins, Robin and Beth Jacobson. By
this time, pretty everyone in town considered Robin as just another girl, as
every bit of her male personality had long since been suppressed by a
combination of socialization, male hormone blockers and daily doses of
estrogen to enable the development of a totally feminine body. The only
thing Robin wouldn't be able to do was have children, with the accompanying
female processes necessary. Given her breast development, if the time ever
came, she COULD breastfeed any adopted children she might have. It was
looking more and more likely that at the end of the year, during the summer
before college, Robin would be flown to Montreal for full female affirmation
surgery. She would have the entire vacation to recuperate before actually
starting classes, though she would have a medical excuse from any physical
activity for her first semester, and probably her entire freshman year. Her
grades ensured that she would have her pick of practically any school she
chose to attend.
Angela was home for Thanksgiving, of course, and both girls had invited
their boyfriends over to their aunt's farm for the holiday. Carol was now a
tenth grader, and did have a boyfriend, but his parents preferred that he
spend it with them. It wasn't all that serious, in any event. Just a
typical high school romance. Carol had gone in a different direction from
all of the other girls. Angie was a total athlete, then there were the two
cheerleaders, then there was Carol. She was a brain, no other way to put
it. She excelled in math and science-she was taking chemistry and pre
calculus as a sophomore, she would take physics and calculus I as a junior
and then special college level courses as a senior. Her goal was a
doctorate in physics some day, do some serious research and then a full
professorship at a major university. She was also just as attractive as the
other three girls though. In fact, she made some of her classmates and
peers nervious-many of them were the aforementioned nerds and geeks. The
chess club, D and D players, guys who hung out at the comic shop. One of
her favorite pastimes was her amateur radio set-which she had personally
built from a kit, but had built the high powered amplifier from scratch, in
addition to her 5 element, three band beam antenna, raised 40 feet high, in
addition to wires for lower bands. Her station had enabled her to
communicate with all 50 states, all six continents and over 150 countries.
She could also receive morse code at almost 25 words per minute. The girl
was good. In fact, it had been Carol who had given Robin the idea of getting
her license, though she wasn't as interested in the hobby as Carol was. But
it looked great on a college application and made her eligible for several
scholarships. Thanksgiving dinner was a rousing success, as the women had
made mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, stuffing (two kinds), cranbury
sauce, yams, turnips, creamed onions and carrots. Since it was a special
occasion in a private home, everyone (including Carol) was allowed to
partake of a nice Rose wine, in moderation depending on age. Dessert was
Apple, pumpkin and mincemeat pies, topped with homemade whipped cream. A
Pennsylvania holiday wouldn't be complete without mincemeat pie. All the
teens had first been to the morming football game against a close rival-it
had been planned that way so everyone could get home for dinner. The moms
had stayed home to prepare the feast, as was traditional. Afterwards, all
the teens got together with their significant others just to relax. Then
after the long weekend, everyone had to get back to school for the countdown
to Christmas. Kevin and Robin especially had a lot to talk about. About
Robin's future, and of course theirs together.
The conversation went as both teens expected. The two professed their
undying love for each other, and planned to stay together permanently.
Since they were still in high school, they didn't feel ready to formalize
their relationship with an engagement Rring, though even if Robin chose not
to have surgery, under the law they could legally marry. Though neither was
overly excited about that idea-Robin felt that if she was going to marry a
man, she wanted to be a complete woman. Kevin was willing to marry her
either way, but inside he was hoping she would decide to have the operation.
The two talked long into the night, making plans, sharing their hopes and
dreams, and generally being two normal teenagers with a few strikes against
them, which teens all over the country were finally able to espress. Robin
had long since forgiven her mother, aunt and cousins for her enforced
feminization, and actually enjoyed being feminine and the perks and
privileges that went with it. Like being a cheerleader.
The holiday ended, and all the kids went back to school. That particular
Pennsylvania winter was particularly bad, so Robin, Beth and most of the
other girls took to wearing jeans or leggings to school, and other places.
While Robin loved skirts and dresses, since she was allowed to wear them,
she wasn't an idiot. She wasn't going to suffer frostbite for the sake of
being stylish. Of course, she did wear her uniform for basketball games,
like all the team had to. But they changed into jeans before heading home,
something they didn't normally do after football games. Christmas holiday
came and went, with Robin receiving a beautiful diamond engagement ring from
Kevin, as they had decided the course of their lives. Her gift to him was a
gold ID bracelet, with his name engraved in the onyx area. It was obviously
that the two were becoming serious. Robin?s mom was ecstatic over this turn
of events-she was sure that it meant that Robin was going to have complete
Gender Affirmation Surgery-the construction of a truly female genital area
and live her life as a complete woman, with absolutely no trace of malenesas
except for her Y chromosome. This was what she had been aiming for since
Robin was in fourth grade and first put into dresses. If the truth be
known, she had NEVER wanted a son and had always hoped for a daughter even
while she was pregnant with Robin. Her plans had actually begun long before
fourth grade and that fateful summer at the Pennsylvania farm with all of
his female relatives.
Naturally, with Robin wearing what was clearly an engagement ring, it was
necessary to announce her new status. While some people still disapproved
of her living as a female (Jill?s parents among them, with Jill accepting
it as a fact though with some misgivings), most people just considered her
another rural young woman, which was a class of people that generally
married early. They figured that she would be no exception. Those who knew
she was male wondered if she would embark in a same-sex marriage, or
actually have the surgery. But since it wasn?t any of their business, the
families involved chose not to make that announcement.
Spring arrived, and the annual Cheerleader Competition with it. It was
obvious that the choice was between Robin, Beth and Jill for the individual
contest. While any girl on the team could try out, none bothered, as they
knew who the champions were. Each girl prepared her flashiest and most
acrobatic routine, with just enough sexiness thrown in to impress any male
judges no end. The panel of local judges was the Cheer coach, the girls
gymnastic coach and the middle school Cheer coach. The three girls
competed.
When the contest was over, the winner, by a tenth of a point was Beth, with
Robin a close second, with Jill trailing by two tenths of a point. Beth had
competed in middle school, and had placed fourth in the county, so she
wasn?t very confident of her ability to win this time around, but she
realized that she HAD beaten both of the other two contestants, so she
simply decided that she would do her best. Robin and surprisingly, Jill
were gracious at losing, and promised Beth that theyd be glad to help her in
any way they could, and would certainly be sending waves of support and good
feeling her way while she competed.
The day of the competition arrived, and the girls all filed onto the bus (as
it was a school function, they weren?t allowed to take their own vehicles)
and sat down, laughing and chattering away as teen girls are wont to do.
Naturally, they also had their phones out and were texting other friends,
boyfriends and in some cases, even though they were only a few feet away,
each other. When the bus arrived at the school where the cometition was to
be held, the girls put their phones away, toched up their makeup, grabbed
their bags, purses and pom-poms and left the bus, filing into the gym.
All of the girls had been there before, at least once, so they knew what to
expect. There were fewer high schools in their county than middle schools,
so again, the two parochial schools (one Catholic and one Lutheran) competed
with the public school squads. When the team contest was over, Robin?s
school had earned third place, and thus would be one of those going to
sectionals, and then hopefully states and then nationals.
In the individual competition, Beth shone. Her lithe, athletic body
performed flips, splits, handsprings and other moves flawlessly. She had
ensured her hair wouldn?t cause any problems, as she had seen a girl slip on
a fallen bobby pin once.when THOSE results were announced, Beth had taken
first place in their county by almost half a point. Her teammates swarmed
her to congratulate her with multiple hugs and screeches. Quite a
successful evening for their little school and the ladies representing it.
There wasn?t much left for the girls that year-sectionals at least, the
prom, finals and then graduation. Finally.
Sectionals didn?t go as well as they had hoped, they took fourth out of
almost thirth schools competing, which meant they wouldn?t be going on to
states. The girls were disappointed, but hey-third in the county and fourth
in the section wasn?t bad. So they could focus their full attention on
prom, as they were all juniors and seniors on the varsity squad.
And focus they did, though they did have to pay at least lip service to the
fact that school was still going on. Every department store, bridal and
formal shop was swarmed with teen girls trying on dress after dress looking
for just THE right one. Robin, Beth and a few other girls travelled in a
pack, checking things out together. After the dress, of course, came shoes,
purse, jewelry and new makeup. As cheerleaders in a small town, the girls
were of course stereotypical of the genre, and they all had a vanity full of
beauty products, plus the major stashes they habitually carried around with
them in their purses. And all of them knew quite well how to use them too,
they had been practicing since they were about nine years old. Robin and
Beth hit the MAC counter at the local Ulta, where they received makeovers
since they each bought about a hundred dollars worth of products. The
ladies who worked on commission loved prom season-every girl in town spent
to the max and commissions went through the roof. Both girls decided to go
with red lips, which Robin often did, and they replaced the tubes they
already had with new ones. Since the girls had slightly different coloring,
they didn?t choose the same shade, but close enough. Robin of course went
with her favorite MAC Ruby Woo, while Beth chose one from Estee Lauder.
Prom was magical for the girls, as it usually is most high schools. Dinner
was a choice of beef, chicken or a vegetarian selection, with Robin and Beth
choosing chicken and their dates choosing the beef, like most of the other
males at the event. It was non-alcoholic of course, with checking at the
door to prevent problems. It didn?t matter to the cousins, since neither of
them drank or smoked, let alone do any other drugs. Like most schools in the
21st century, the school went with a DJ rather than a band, mostly due to
cost. And also like most high school proms, the evening was magical.
Robin naturally went with her long ime boyfriend Kevin, while Paul was in
from college for the weekend to escort Beth. As cheerleader captains, it
was sort of traditional for one of them to be elected prom queen, while the
captain of one of the girls sports teams to be named senior princess. It
wasn?t a rule, and quite often, a non affiliated girl would be named as
royalty, or the cheerleader would be left out completely. This year, to her
and everyone elses surprise, Robin was named queen, with her former nemesis
Jill named as senior princess, with a junior majorette named as the other
member of the court. The three girls went forward for the award, and
celebrated in a group hug. After the crowning, their escorts joined them
for the traditional dance. It was the most perfect evening of Robin?s life
up to that point. Along with most of the other attendees, they visited
several of the after prom parties that were being held in town. Robin and
Beth were nostalgic-they realized this was the last big event before their
high school careers were over. Next stop, graduation.
The month between prom and commencement flew by. The first two weeks were
review, while the last two were set aside for finals. Both girls were sure
they would ace them, and sure enough, they did. Both of them finished in
the top ten in the class, and had long since been inducted into the National
Honor Society. They were both eligible to wear both the gold ropes of the
top ten, and the gold stole of the NHS. Of course, they had the gold
tassels for having a four year average of 90 or better, which was assumed by
the other two decorations they would be wearing. At the appointed night and
time, Robin, her mom and aunt and cousins joined several hundred other
people at the school football field, the usual site for the ceremony.
Which brings us to graduation night, and the girls checking their hair and
makeup one last time before marching out on the field for the last time.
Robin looked at the beautiful platinum and diamond ring on the third finger
of her left hand and turned to her cousin to make a very signigificant
announcement.
Epilogue
Robin did decide to have her surgery that summer. She and her mom flew to
Canada, where not surprisingly, a reservation had already been made in her
name. Her aunt, cousins and fianc? didn?t go along for that trip, since she
would be gone for at least two weeks for recuperation. She was taught how
to ensure her new female equipment didn?t close up, though she would use a
different method quite soon once she was sufficiently healed. She would up
attending the same university as Kevin (big surprise), Penn State, where she
majored in pre-law, intending to attend Law School afterwards. Kevin was a
business major, intending to go for an MBA while she did Law School. They
married the summer after their junior year, Angie and Carol being
bridesmaids and Beth as Maid of Honor. Beth?s marriage to Paul took place
after graduation.
Kevin got a job in New York City, while Robin was taken on as an associate
in a firm consisting of two partners and a few otherr. Of the two partners,
one was a transwoman with a third degree black belt, married to a NY Mets
pitcher, the other was married to a transwoman who was a fifth degree black
belt and a PhD in Psychology. To complete the coincidence, the founder of
the system was a Texas transwoman who had a brother who played for the New
York Giants. Perfect firm for her. She joined the partner?s class in what
little spare time a junior associate had, happy her former rank in Tae Kwon
Do was accepted by the head instructor (the male partners wife), and Robin
eventually received her first degree black belt herself. Along the way, she
met another girl named Robin, also a lawyer, but from New England. She was
also a senior black belt martial artist, but in a different system. Robin
was in fangtastic shape. She was complete, and she had it all.
