Now I had met the drama teacher in the school car park and been

Seeing the sense in that I allowed her to glue on some false eyelashes.
Julia the touched up her own makeup before we rejoined her mother.
"Time for your first girls lingerie shopping trip Tracey," Julia's Mum
said.
I should have, and I am sure I would have, felt terror at being taken
lingerie shopping before, when I was a boy and dressed like one, but
dressed as I was I struggled to think of myself as a boy any more.
Although we got a few wolf whistles between getting out of Julia's Mum's
car and reaching the lingerie shop it appeared that no one seemed to

when they go shopping.
"Hi Julia," said the sales girl. "Who's your friend?"
"She's an exchange student," Julia lied, realising that if I did not have
to speak much the sales girl might not clock me. "She doesn't speak much
English and lost her bags on the way here."
Julia got me a membership card at the shop, giving my name and I ended up
with a week's worth of matching bras and panties in silk and lace, a
white full slip and a black full slip and some gel pads to give me

Lara opened the door.

Mum knocked on the door.

"Let's call her Sharon," Mum said.

I could not imagine the terror Sharon felt at being addressed as Sharon

eyeshadow but she had become resigned to it when Mum put on the lipstick

Her masculinity had disappeared before Mum put the wig cap and wig on
Sharon's head.
We went down to the kitchen.

Gone were the days when Sharon and I monopolised the television.
