The year was 2567. Earth had collapsed finally under the weight of all the wars and hardships that have happened. A hundred year war filled with nukes and vandals. It was time to take the population elsewhere. They had been flying through the universe for what seemed like an eternity. In all reality, it had only been four months of traveling. The male was on board solo, sent out by his commander to seek shelter in a planet. His goals were find life and see if life would be sustainable there for their population. The problem in the past, being they were one man scout ships, usually never heard from again.
Though, Jackson Tsai had an interesting aspect about him that no one knew about.
In the early stages of his life, he had been selected for a program called "Spartan". They had genetically altered his body and cells to form what they deemed a super solider. What they got was something they didn't expect. The man stood at a whopping 6'7" tall, usually walking around in a giant suit of armor with an on board AI. His approach to things was something they frowned upon. The armor could take a lot of abuse from human firearms, so he figured once he found a suitable atmosphere and planet where he could breathe freely, that is where it would all start.
His planet, designated by his commander, was Obiron. The atmospheric readings were close to that of Earth's and he was told that this planet would be one of the few they actually thought would sustain human life. The problem would be settling in.
The male had enough to land, build and survive for weeks by himself. He had to take in plants, animals, average temperatures in the area alongside setting up security around his place, cameras to watch his back alongside speak system to speak out in the wilderness. Only one problem with that, his ship was of course, heading for a horrible crash landing per his terrible misfortune.
~After the Crash~
It had been a rough day but luckily the male was able to collect his AI and get into the suit before the crash, the suit sustaining it and keeping him alive. The male's eyes would slowly open, the ship still in one piece after crashing into the atmosphere. His head felt like it was split open, his eyes opening to find that he was dizzy.
"Sam, readings."
He stated slowly and the AI responded.
"Everything is clear, Jackson. I suggest trying to stretch out, the armor took the fall well, no damage there. Hop out and disconnect me."
The femininely vocal AI said to him before it disappeared from his helmets visor screen. Jackson sighed and disengaged the suit, pushing the chest panel open and climbing out of it. The man had minor bruises up and down his body, but everything else was sound. He pulled a chip out from inside the armor and slapped it into place behind his neck, the AI was pushing into his frame to do a full analysis. One thing about his alterations is that his body was filled with nano bytes, a type of technology to get readings of just about anything.
Sam hummed a song which echo'd through the males head.
"Sam stop.. when I am not dizzy you can do that."
"Sorry. Force of habit."
She replied as she read every vital that she could muster.
"Slight tension in your thighs, calves and forearms. Once again, I recommend stretching out and eating a meal before getting back into that suit. Consider it an order."
She said with a snarky tone.
"Come on Sam, you know just as well as I do, that no order can come from you. The thought it is awfully cute that you seem keen on trying, over... and over.... and over."
He replied before doing exactly what she asked. Everything she ever told him was always, at worst case, mostly correct. The male stretched out, taking twenty minutes to go through his routine, taking a bath near a gushing river and then making himself an edible sandwich with sweaty, sqaused loaves, and a ball of half browned cabbage he found in the scattered storage container. As he was eating, he took the chip from his neck and placed it into the busted but still flickering control table, a panel coming up.
"Systems check. I need to know what survived the fall. Check weapon lockers, storage lockers with the building materials, any first aid we had and get back to me."
Within a couple of minutes, Sam had reappeared on the table.
"Weapons and storage lockers in tact, medical bins destroyed. Food scattered but intact still in bins."
She stated.
"Of course."
He muttered, he would have to find out about the herbs and lifestyle of the things around him, and quick incase something came up and he needed it.
"We are going back to the suit."
The male said before grabbing the chip and leaving, hopping into his suit and powering it back up. It took a minute for the suit to load without the AI in it, but that was normal. The moment it was operational, he stuck the chip in and went to the armory on the battered spaceship. He grabbed three weapons and spare ammo for each. A compound bow, a m4a1 and a silenced pistol if he needed to be quiet. With all that attached, he kept the bow handy and walked toward the hanger door on the ship. After inputting a command, he waited for the ship to fully open before closing the door and slipping out, falling fifty feet to the floor and landing with ease. He looked back up at the ship and saw the doors to the hanger close. Now, it was time see what he could find.
