Stephen Smith was the only child of a deeply religious family consisting
of his mother Betty and church deacon father Paul. Stephen had always
attended all church services and prayer meetings and the social events

On Wednesday night, the youth group was taken by bus to an ice skating
rink for Christian fellowship. Stephen really didn't want to go as he
felt sure that he would make a fool of himself by falling down as he had
done previously. His concerns were justified as he had not been on the
ice two minutes before his first fall and several more occurred which had
earned him much mockery. He was determined however, and kept at it until
he took a nasty fall with his leg getting caught in the gap between two
uprights of the safety rail. Several of the kids thought this was pretty
funny but made no attempt to help until the new kid, attending his first
skating party came over and asked if he was OK.
Stephen, who had been fighting tears of pain as well as embarrassment
said he was stuck and couldn't get up. "New kid," who it turned out was
named Norman simply got behind Stephen and dead lifted him up on to his
skates, but Stephen couldn't get his balance and Norman caught him in his
arms and held him tightly against himself before picking him up and
carrying him to a chair.
"O.K. Pal, let's get these skates off you and see what's what." Unused
to such kindness Stephen looked at his benefactor who smiled at him
warmly and said, "I've got to admire your determination um...?"
"Stephen," came the reply, as Norman removed the skates and massaged his
leg from ankle to thigh.
"We'll Steve," Norman said. "It looks just to be a slight strain and
you'll have to stay off it for a day or two" Norman's hands massaging
his leg had given a strange and very pleasant sensation but when Norman
again just picked him up as if he was weightless, saying: "Let's get you
to the bus." Stephen felt the strangest and most exciting feelings. It
just felt so Good To be held as he was and half way to the bus he

Later that night as Stephen got into bed, he couldn't stop having these

Suddenly he sensed that his thoughts were sinful as boys were not

Norman then said he was glad to hear it and then went on to say: "Look,

tickets to the Giants game tonight, would you like to come with me?"
Knowing baseball was considered wholesome where movies were forbidden
Stephen knew it would be acceptable to his parents.
During the game Stephen watched a young couple in the next row cuddling

And so it came to pass, Stephen, now Stephanie was gradually transformed.
