The board will be co-chaired by three public health heavyweights: Dr. David Kessler, a former commissioner of the Food and d**g Administration under President Bill Clinton; Dr. Vivek Murthy, who served as surgeon general under President Barack Obama; and Dr. Marcella Nunez-Smith, a professor of public health at Yale University.
The board will also include a slate of global health experts, infectious disease researchers and doctors.
The one person that will not be on this task force is Dr Fauci. I wonder why?
The first thing I want to get off my chest is, anyone who gets Covid has put themselves in harms way somewhere. Where was their mask? Who were they standing so near to. It didn't take anyone to tell me I have to take precautions to stay well and not bring the virus home to my 97 year old mother or my health challenged wife. I don't understand why or how you can blame anyone and most of all the President for not telling you to cover your ass and be careful. I know Trump played it down when it first broke loose in our country. He was trying to keep people from panicking. People were fighting over toilet paper. Just imagine if all of our government officials screamed," The Sky Is Falling." There would have been people run over in the parking lots of stores and shootings over a jar of pickles. Where were the Governors in all of this? They are in charge of their states. Are they waiting for the president to make them do their job. If they didn't know how to handle this, then what are they doing in that position?
I take my hat off and would give my heart to all of the health care workers that put themselves on the line every day. They go into work to face sickness and death every day, even in the best of times. They don't have a choice. It was their job. They could have quit. But all of the healthcare workers I know are like the Firemen and women and Police that run into harms way when we are getting out of it. So it wasn't a option for them unless they had no way of quarantining due to home matters. Most lived in the hospitals during the first surge. Some still do, giving up seeing family and friends to take care of our loved ones.
Now back to blaming Trump for not doing enough. The moment he was informed, he blocked travel to and from China. The hub of this pandemic. The problem was that China didn't say anything about how long it had been going on and people were traveling from Europe and other countries and bringing it back and most of it came in through our East coast airports from Europe. That is why all of the major cities with international airports were hit so hard. In just one day, imagine how many people move through the New York airport or Atlanta. If you have ever kicked a fire ant mound, that is the closest thing I can compare it to. Our NSA knows that airports would be a easy way to introduce a pandemic into our nation by a terrorist group. Where were they? What was their bosses doing? As a Governor, I would have shut down my city immediately.
Now we are having a second surge of the virus blowing up in all of the major cities. What are these people doing? They can't blame it on anyone but themselves. We all have been hearing what to do to prevent ourselves from getting it. Fauci says the easiest way to get the virus is to go to a restaurant. I challenge anyone to explain how they got it innocently. I simply look at it as Darwin's Theory. The virus will kill all of the stupid people and unfortunately their innocent friends and family. Then again we will deal with this virus forever, just like the Flu.
Now let us address the shortage of products in our stores. In my world, any sanitizer, pasta, pasta sauces, canned vegetables, fresh meats, fresh vegetables, and of course paper products. Can someone give me a good reason for this. They say the shortage of toilet paper is because people are doing their business at home instead of at work, since most businesses were closed. Products that required the trucks were hampered by the truck stops being closed. The truckers could not get gas or food on the road, nor get the rest they were required by law. Some but very little was due to protests blocking the roads.
Does anybody see how this is going.? Get ready to show your ID and a ration card. Some of our parents remember having to do this for the War effort but this is due to stupid people that need to be told how to care for themselves. Unfortunately this will fall on deaf ears because most of my friends that will read this have the good sense to take precautions.
Find a safe place. Hunker down. This will pass when the weak minded have left the building.
