So far: In Chapter 1 Steve's daughter Amy was with him in his home office
and was telling him about her plans to help her boyfriend Lucas enter
into the high school's womanless beauty pageant. Steve is confused as to
why she needs his help. This chapter continues that discussion.

I was just sitting there not knowing how to deal with what Amy had just
told me. Lucas entering a womanless pageant was no big deal to hear
about. But now having Amy tell me that she knows about my crossdressing
and even knows about my other interests related to it left me totally
speechless. My mind was racing and numb at the same time. A secret I had
tried so hard to keep private no longer was. And my very own teenaged
daughter knowing about it was so embarrassing for me. I was stunned to
say the least. I just sat there like a little kid who got caught doing
something naughty but not able to deal with it like a little kid would
have.
"Daddy please don't be mad or embarrassed. Like I told you, it's OK and I
have no problem with it. But I am sorry to spring it on you like this.
And I wouldn't have ever said anything if I didn't need your help with
Lucas." I finally was able to speak. "Honey I never wanted you to ever
know this about me. It is a private matter and I've always tried to keep
it that way. I don't quite know how to feel right now because this is so
sudden and unexpected. How on earth did you find out?"
"Well, OK daddy I'll tell you everything. And please believe me when I
say it was just an accident, but I still probably shouldn't have gone as
far as I did. But I did and now you know. I'm sure you remember when you
got your new laptop computer a few months ago. It all started because you
obviously forgot to set the privacy and sharing settings when you first
hooked your laptop to our home network. One day I signed on to my laptop
and immediately saw a notification that a new device had been connected
to the network. I'd never seen that before and just clicked on that
notification and it immediately connected me to your new laptop. I didn't
even think to tell you and just let it go."
"But I did get curious and don't have a good explanation as to why but I
just let it get out of hand and couldn't seem to stop. So one day I again
clicked on that icon and it took me to your laptop just like the first
time. I had no idea that allowing sharing would let a device be accessed
like that. It was as if I was a user for your laptop and I could see
everything in your documents, pictures, videos files and even had access
your browser and see your bookmarks and saved pages.....everything. So
that's how I know about your hobby or whatever you call it. I was
surprised and knew I was invading your privacy but I just couldn't stop
myself. I'm sorry daddy but it is what it is."
As she was telling me this I realized it was my own fault. How could I
have been so stupid to not set-up my new laptop properly? I consider
myself an expert with computers and networks because I have done much of
my business online as well as personal stuff. Sure, Amy shouldn't have
done what she did but she's a teenager and curious and I'm sure had no
idea what she was getting into. I tried to put myself in her place and
probably would have done the same. Not meaning any harm but just being
curious. And that curiosity led to this.
"Honey I am embarrassed and feel uncomfortable having this conversation
with you. Like you said, it is a totally private thing for me and I want
to keep it that way. At least as much as I now can. I'm sure you can
understand why I feel this way. I can't undo the fact that you know but I
need for this to be just my secret life. I regret that you had to find
out this way or even at all and it really was mostly my fault. It must
have been a shock for you to see files that are extremely revealing about
a side of me that you had no idea about."
"Daddy I'm no prude or a goodie-two-shoes. I knew about these things but
just didn't know you were involved in them. You're right that this is
your private hobby and I respect that. But I'm also interested and now
involved...well at least knowing about it. I would never get like
'involved involved' with you so don't worry about that. You are alone
since mom died and maybe you did this even when she was alive but you
probably need it more now. Being alone and needing
to...well...er....satisfy yourself alone I'm sure has a lot to do with
it. Seems you are a crossdresser who likes watching videos of other

interesting, to say the least. So I do know almost everything."
Oh my god she did know everything. Because everything is on my laptop. Of
course I can reset my privacy settings now but the cat is already out of
the bag. I only can prevent her from seeing more from now on. But it
seems she wants to talk more now about this. Plus I'm still curious why
she keeps saying she needs my help with Lucas. I'm really in a bind at
this point. She's still sitting here with me and all I can do is see what
comes next. I'm totally at her mercy for now.
