Now Cäcilia left Germany and her love for three months to be with Clare and to get to know a local afroamerican community to the south. Most of the regulars of this place were young men, boys in their twenties or early thirties, some were older. Some were attractive, some were flirts, some were both, some were neither. It seemed to be a rough time psychologically and emotionally in such a different environment for an innocent but self-conscious young lady, who’s a big believer and still determined to make the world a better place. She was really keen on starting this new adventure, she packed all her important personal belongings for this adventure including her own style skirts. When she finally moved to her new place, she was not yet aware of those racial tensions and divisions in the so called United States. Living in a predominately black community proved to be quite an eye opener for her.
