“Shall we begin?” Kara smirked when I arrived home from running with Jacquelyn.

I sighed theatrically, “I suppose. If I HAVE to! Once more unto the breach!”

“Fucking me silly is such torture for you, Snuggle Bear!” Kara giggled.

“Every morning and every night until you’re pregnant?”

“Why stop then?” she giggled. “And I will share you with Jess, of course.”

“You’re so magnanimous,” I chuckled.

“Shut up and get in bed!” Kara commanded.

“Yes, ma’am!” I said, saluting. “But don’t you think I should shower first?”

“He should, Kara,” Jessica said, wrinkling her nose.

“Oh, fine,” she huffed, but smiled. “I can wait a couple of minutes!”

I went to the bathroom and quickly showered and dried off, then came back and got into bed with my wives. Kara and I didn’t fuck, we made love slowly, and passionately with Jessica lying on her side in bed next to us, watching.

“Make a baby, Steve,” Kara whispered as I came hard deep inside her.

“I love you!” I gasped as her pussy clamped me tightly and milked me, allowing millions of sperm to try to find their way to an egg, waiting to become a son or daughter.

Jessica kissed each of us and the three of us cuddled a bit before showering and heading downstairs for breakfast. We’d used up most of our available time, so we had bagels, juice, and coffee before Kara left for IIT. I walked Jessica to the ER, arriving about a minute before her shift started. I kissed her and then headed to the office.

“I’m bringing in a couple of candidates this afternoon,” Charlie said. “Would you have time to see them?”

“Sure,” I said. “Did you send me their information?”

“It’s in your inbox on your desk. I was surprised you weren’t here when I arrived. Usually you beat me in.”

“I was busy at home this morning,” I said.

Charlie laughed, “Uh-huh!”

“Go back to your desk, you!” I chuckled.

She left and I powered up my computer and looked over the résumés while the system booted. George Eagleton was working for Devcom, a company I’d run across several times, including having heard from Jeri that she’d interviewed there. They had been a big PRIME Value Added Reseller and were struggling with trying to move in new directions. George had been working on their electronic faxing software on RS/6000 systems running AIX for the two years since he graduated from the University of Illinois.

The other candidate was Maria Santos, who was working for a consulting firm in the suburbs that specialized in Business Basic running on Unix systems similar to the one that Belarus used. She didn’t have a degree, but was self-taught and had been working for four years. She had the added benefit of speaking fluent Spanish. We hadn’t run into any situations where that had been an issue, but I still felt it would be a good thing to have.

I didn’t see anything about either candidate that raised any red flags, but paper could be deceiving. I’d make my judgment when I saw them face to face. I checked my cc:Mail and saw a note from Kimmy that the new computers would be delivered on Thursday, and that everything was ready for Jody and Sung-Hee to start the following Monday. I checked my calendar and saw that the rest of the week was still clear. I also saw the note that I’d made about the construction starting next Monday. That was going to cause a bit of chaos, but Julia, Elyse, and Kimmy had everything under control.

I was glad that I hadn’t had to return to IIT. Somehow, the young man had come to his senses. I wondered if someone else from the organization had paid him a visit, or if he’d thought about the friendly advice I’d given him. Either way, Theo had come by the previous day to let me know that everything was taken care of. He once again had offered me more lucrative work, but I’d politely declined.

At lunchtime I joined Terry to walk to my house. Terry had dropped Amber there on his way to work, and Penny would be by to eat lunch and pick her up. The three of us had lunch together with Amber sleeping in her convertible car seat.

“How’s school going?” I asked.

“Boring, as usual, though I like Doctor Driesson’s class.”

“How’s your team?”

“Eh, OK, I suppose. There are one or two who may possibly fit in at NIKA, but for the most part, I’m not impressed.”

“That’s par for the course. When I was involved with Scott there were three or maybe four kids in each class that I would consider. Just keep your eye on them for when they graduate.”

“I heard you’re coming to talk to the class next month.”

“Yes. I met with Doctor Driesson a couple of times at the beginning of August to go over Scott’s course outline and the notes. He asked me to do the same thing that I did for Scott. What about the rest of your classes?”

“Just the usual stuff. I’ll be happy next year when I can do my internship. I miss working. But I’m glad I took the time off to be with Amber and focus on school.”

“We’ll be happy to have you back. Did Terry tell you the remodeling starts on Monday?”

“Yes,” she giggled. “Did you go for the private bedroom and sauna?”

“No! I did consider the private bathroom, but honestly, the cost wasn’t worth it. We’ll have two bathrooms and a shared shower.”

“Shared?” she giggled, and licked her lips.

“Penelope Margaret Penfield! The only person you are sharing a shower with is Terry!”

Terry laughed, “I feel sorry for you, Boss, having to put up with her!”

“It’s my own fault,” I chuckled. “I hired her! But she’s mostly your problem now!”

“Problem?” Penny said, trying to sound indignant.

Terry and I looked at each other, smirked, nodded our heads, and jointly said, “Problem!”

Penny stuck her tongue out at both of us, causing all three of us to laugh. We finished our lunch, and after Terry helped Penny get Amber into the Daytona, he and I headed back to the office.

I saw both candidates and thought they were both OK, though Charlie wanted to see a few more. She had several more résumés of people she needed to call, which she’d do that evening.

September 29, 1989, Chicago, Illinois

“I’m going to veto today’s candidate,” I said.

“Why?” Charlie asked.

“I just have a feeling that she’d be a problem. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but there was something about the way she talked and responded to me that bothered me. I don’t think she would fit in here. I’m OK with you hiring George and Maria if you want to do that.”

“I think so. We have plenty of work for both of them, and they have the right skills, especially Maria. Besides Belarus we have four more places using that exact same setup - NCR Unix systems and Business Basic Plus. As for AIX, I got a call from Wen; SPSS needs an AIX consultant to help them write some printer drivers. That’s basically right up George’s alley.”

“Talk to Elyse and Julia, and bring me the paperwork to sign,” I said.

“I’ll try to get it done today, but it’s pretty late. It’ll be Monday most likely.”

“Whenever you’re ready.”

She went back to her desk and I finished what I was working on so that I could meet Jessica at the ER at 5:00pm.

“Hi, Babe!” I said when she came out to meet me. “How was your day?”

“It was one of THOSE days! I swear, every person who came into the ER today died.”

“You’re exaggerating, I hope.”

She gave me a kiss and we started walking home.

“Yes, a bit. But we had three fatal heart attacks today. All three were guys in their 60’s. Must be the phase of the moon, or something.”

“It is a new moon tonight,” I chuckled. “Are we still going to the movies?”

“After a day like today? Yes! Kara wanted to see Sex, Lies, and Videotape.”

“I heard it’s all dialogue,” I said.

“So right up your alley, then,” Jessica smirked.

“Are you trying to say that I’m all talk and no action?”

“You do have that history! I offered to go home with you eight months before the wedding and you turned me down. You made Kara wait for six months. You made Penny wait that long, too. Come to think of it, I should be angry at you for making ME wait the longest!”

“All true. And that’s a good thing. The problems I’ve created have mostly come when I didn’t think things through, usually because I was in one of my moods.”

“Kimmy helped snap you out of that mood after Thanksgiving. That’s why I thought it was a good idea to let you continue seeing her.”

“And Abbie?” I asked.

“At first it was because Elyse and I were basically out of commission, but now, I think she’s good for you.”

“And if she’s our nanny for the next eighteen years or so?”

“One day at a time, Tiger. That’s what we agreed.”

“Yes, we did. But I sometimes feel, I don’t know, strange, I guess, about the whole thing.”

Jessica stopped walking and I stopped and turned to face her.

“I knew you weren’t monogamous when I married you. So did Kara. Don’t try to be someone or something you aren’t. You’re my husband. I want you for my husband. I love what we have together since I came home. I love our children that we’ve had together with Kara. I love you. I don’t care about you fucking other girls, just so long as you follow Elyse’s rules. Maybe that will change someday, but only when the three of us all agree that it should.

“As for Abbie, she needs you to help her discover who she really is, what she really wants, and where she needs to be. If you want my honest opinion, her despair about the world is based on what she saw at home in Albany. Here she has a loving, nurturing environment. I think her entire worldview is going to change over the next few years. We found a creative way to integrate her into our family. That’s what she needed Tiger - to be part of a real family.”

“We’re not exactly Ozzie and Harriet,” I chuckled.

“No, we aren’t. Now I don’t know for sure, but from talking to her it seems like she was in that kind of situation with her parents. In the end, they tolerated and put up with her; they didn’t accept her. You especially, but the rest of us, accept her for who she is. Look at the reaction that Patricia and Henry have had to all of us. They’ve found people outside their group that actually care about them and like them. And who don’t condemn them or look down on them.

“And if you think about it, that’s true for just about anyone else who has ever come into your house. Granted, I’ve only been here for four years, but I’ve talked at length with Elyse, Katy, and Jennifer. And you know I’ve talked to Kara and Kathy. Katy came back because she knew you would accept her. Jennifer and Josie are here because, in addition to Jennifer being deeply in love with you, you accepted her for who and what she was long before she even accepted it herself!

“And think about those kids you have here on alternate Sundays. And the kids you mentor at the dojo. You accept them and help them discover who they are. Look at how you changed Jacquelyn! All because you offered to be her friend. Jolene owes you her promotion to 2nd Dan. That was ALL you. Sensei Jim awarded her that stripe on her belt as a reward to you, Tiger. Not to her. She’ll never receive another promotion. You know that, deep in your heart.

“But you did something even more important for her. You refused to sleep with her again. And now she’s dating someone seriously, and seems very, very happy. In a similar vein, you let Kimmy go without any drama. She was there for you, and when she knew that she’d done what she set out to do, she let you go. And you let her go. All Kimmy wanted was to help you get yourself on an even keel. Once the ship was righted, she could move on with her life.”

“All true,” I said, taking Jessica’s hand so we could continue our walk home.

“So don’t feel guilty, husband of mine. You aren’t neglecting me. You aren’t abusing me. You aren’t taking advantage of me. I have exactly what I want and need - you, Kara, and the kids. Kara will tell you the same thing. And for that matter, so will Elyse and Jennifer, though each of us needs something slightly different from you.”

She squeezed my hand and we took a few more steps in silence.

“Before I forget, is your schedule going to change?” I asked.

“Not until November. After talking to Doctor Barton and my counselor, as well as the Chief Resident and the Senior Attending, we all agreed that one more month of eight-hour shifts is the right course of action. I did put in for the morning shift on Thanksgiving, and then morning on Christmas Eve and evening on Christmas Day. I won’t have to work the weekend of the Halloween party. And speaking of that, what’s your costume?”

“I had planned to go completely goth, including theatrical hair dye. Now I’m not sure.”

“Why?”

“I’m just not sure it’s respectful of Abbie and Henry. I was actually thinking of recycling my KGB uniform.”

“Talk to Abbie. I think the goth idea is a good one. I think you’ll find that she’ll love it!”

“OK. Speaking of parties, are we going to the hospital Christmas party this year?”

“Yes. The three of us. As a trio. Alicia and Marjorie can eat their hearts out!”

“Marjorie?”

“A medical student who I heard was drooling over you and was VERY disappointed to find out that you were mine!”

“Drooling, huh?” I smirked.

“I think we’ll add a rule of nobody at MY work,” Jessica said thoughtfully. “That could actually cause more problems than you might have had with Kimmy or Jeri.”

“I suspect you’re right. Besides, Alicia holds no attraction for me. On the other hand, I do have this thing for playing doctor with cute medical students...”

Jessica laughed, “You bagged yours! Leave some for someone else!”

“I suppose,” I chuckled. “But in all seriousness, I agree with the rule.”

“Good. Let’s get inside and get some dinner so we can go to the movies!”

October 1, 1989, Chicago, Illinois

“Is Jesse ready for church?” I asked Jennifer on Sunday morning.

“Josie is helping him with his shoes. He’ll be down in a minute. Do you know what happens today?”

I nodded, “It was in the Tribune. Denmark is allowing gays and lesbians to register civil unions effective today.”

“Now if we could just get laws like that here!”

“Don’t count on it,” I sighed. “Maybe 25 or 30 years from now, but this country is so tied in knots by evangelical Christians that I wouldn’t hold my breath. Maybe when our generation makes up the majority of state legislators, but not before then. And federal recognition is going to require the Supreme Court enforcing the ‘Full faith and credit’ clause of the Constitution. Well, I suppose they could declare it a right under the 14th Amendment or some such thing, but I think that’s a stretch and they’d be better off just requiring Illinois to recognize a same-sex marriage performed in Massachusetts, or wherever.”

Do unto Others

Do Unto Others ? Part I Do Unto Others ? Part I It had been a few weeks since Lisa and Sharon had gone through their grueling punishment session at Lisa?s house after being caught smoking at school.? The pain and the marks from those spankings had subsided fairly quickly but the humiliation of their ordeal that night left a much longer impression on the two teens.? As such, their behavior had improved markedly as they both vowed never to be put through that type of punishment again.?...

Unto the Gates of Poazach Ch 02

*** Hello all, this is the second installment in my short story trilogy, which is just one of the infinite tales from my fantasy universe. Someone recently noted that the characters behaved more like demigods than humans, and this is appropriate as the characters are of a very powerful race, very ancient and magical. I think this semi-divine appellation is insightful, and congrats to the one who picked up on that Votes and comments greatly appreciated. *** Part II: The Approach to Poazach ...

A WellLived Life Book 7 Kara IIChapter 21 He Will Tell Thee What Thou Shalt Do

July 1982, Milford, Ohio On Tuesday morning, I kissed Kara goodbye and headed to my parents’ house for my usual morning routine with my little sister. She was happy that I could spend the morning with her and asked to take a walk, so we weren’t in the house with my mom. “Let me guess — this walk will end in the clearing,” I said with a smile. “Yes,” she said, taking my hand as we walked down Overlook towards Klondyke. As usual, we turned around and walked back, taking the path to the...

Do Unto Others

As the old adage goes, do unto others as you would have them (or him) do unto you... or something like that... and Misty had a plan. She had been hiking for almost two hours and was sweating bullets. Her chambray shirt was soaked with sweat as was her bra, shorts and panties. The only thing that wasn't drenched in sweat was her hiking boots. Misty stopped for a minute and took a sip of water from the hydration tube then adjusted her Kelty-Redwing backpack and started back up the trail. An...

A WellLived Life 3 Book 1 SuzanneChapter 73 Hypothetical Questions

December 5, 2000, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota “I had a good time last night,” I said. “I was surprised you invited a friend!” Mary laughed as we walked into the exam room, “Naomi had a good time as well. You know what a Resident’s life is like.” I nodded, “No social life.” “Exactly. You guys seemed to hit it off pretty well.” “Yes, but I’m not here for that!” “You’re everywhere for that, and you know it!” I couldn’t help but laugh. “Let’s just say that you hit the sweet spot -...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 5 MichelleChapter 78 Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous Part II

May 15, 1992, Glencoe, Illinois “Join me in my study, if you would,” Noel Spurgeon said when we finished our dessert. It had been an interesting evening. Samantha and I had talked for a bit before we’d been summoned to dinner. The meal had been prepared by a chef and was served by a white-coated young man. Again, this was a far cry from Lois at the van Hoeks’ house. What wasn’t a far cry was the fact that I was having dinner with a man who knew I was going to be sleeping with his daughter...

Once more unto The Breach Dear Friends

I like cock. And as I unbutton the flies of the slender, but well built man next to whom I am sitting, I can’t help but smile. Not only is his cock almost implausibly large, but the surrounding areas are free of pubic hair – a man after my own heart. I can’t help but remember the words of the ‘evil mastermind’ of the campy Austin Powers movies: “There’s nothing quite as breathtaking as a freshly shaved scrotum.” I tend to agree. These thoughts quickly dissipate however, as I take his rapidly...

A WellLived Life Book 2 JenniferChapter 24 Sophomore Year Begins

August-September 1978 The next week flew by. On Sunday, we used my tickets and went to another baseball game. The Reds were hosting the Cubs. Tom Seaver pitched a lousy game and the Reds lost 7-1. Bethany joined us this time, because Mary wasn’t able to go. As luck would have it, the same guys were sitting behind us. “Hey, what happened to the sexy blonde?” “She couldn’t make it today, but this is another one that he’s had sex with,” Melanie said. “Melanie!” I growled. “Oh stop, Steve!”...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 14 A Southern Belle a Surprise Proposal two Cheerleaders an Old Flame and a Girl Back Home Part I

October 1981, Chicago, Illinois I arrived back at the apartment just before 10:00pm and saw the address for the party. I decided I wasn’t particularly interested in going so I put on some music, poured myself a glass of wine, and started reading more about Russia. I was alternating between the history and culture book and the Communist Party book, decided on the history and culture book for this time. I didn’t get much reading done because I was thinking about Tatyana, which led me to...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 7 SakurakoChapter 57 Land of the Rising Sun Part III

June 23, 1994, Oguni, Yamagata Prefecture, Japan My first week in Japan flew by, and a routine developed. Sakurako would wake me; I’d exercise and run, then shower and have breakfast, and share tea with Sakurako. After breakfast, I’d meditate, and then have my training session. After lunch, I’d work in the garden, or, as I had this day, wash the floors in the house. Hiroshi would accompany me back to the cottage and we’d talk while I washed up and dressed for dinner. After dinner, I’d spend...

With the NIS program finally over, here are the playlists from the Welcome to the... concert that Mike and the Time Bandettes, and the Shania Twain Band played at the John Labatt Center in London. I regularly used ‘unique’ web-links to songs to get a feel for how other bands have played these songs. For example, I used Nickelback’s cover of ZZTop’s Sharp Dressed Man as a guide for what Mike and the Time Bandettes, and the lighting crew did during this song. In the Chapter Songs’ list, I did...

June 15, 1994, Chicago, Illinois “That’s everything, I think,” I said. “My luggage is in the trunk of the car, I have my passport, tickets, and money, both dollars and yen. I can’t think of anything else.” “I’ll see you in five weeks,” Elyse said, giving me a quick hug. “Did you see they rioted in Vancouver last night because they lost the Stanley Cup?” I chuckled, “Only Canadians would riot when they LOSE the Cup! I did see that on the front page of the Trib. Are we ready?” “Michelle and...

A WellLived Life Book 10 The WifeChapter 14 Katherine Victoria Will

January, 1985, Chicago, Illinois I arrived back in Hyde Park about ten minutes before the end of the Super Bowl. It didn’t look like it had been much of a contest, given that the score was 38-16, with San Francisco trouncing Miami. I grabbed a Coke and some chips and sat down on the couch next to Julia and Dave. In the room, besides my housemates, were Jamie, Kenneth, Kurt, Kathy, Jorge, George, Charlie, Bert, and Wen. “Julia, I got approval from both guys in Cincinnati,” I said. She...

Late on Saturday afternoon Dave shifted into his job as one of the bartenders for the Circle. Just as he was ready for a first customer, Emma came racing up to the bar. She was alone and only wearing a monokini, unlike a few hours earlier when her parents and younger sister had visited and she was dressed conservatively. She extended her body over the bar and kissed Dave. “Thank you for being so nice to my parents and sister.” “Of course. They’re nice people. I take it they don’t know a...

August 21, 1989, Chicago, Illinois “Unbelievable,” I said when I read the headline from the Chicago Tribune. “It says here that Solidarity activist Tadeusz Mazowiecki was nominated to be Prime Minister of Poland.” I hadn’t had a chance to read the paper on Sunday because it hadn’t been delivered before we left for the race track in Michigan. “So now what?” Kara asked. “We’re in totally uncharted territory. A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 4 Calm Before the Storm

June 1977 When I got home, I grabbed a Coke and some chips and went right to my room. I didn’t think I could deal with my parents or Jeff or Stephanie. I just needed to be by myself. That wouldn’t seem odd to anyone, because I often went to my room to read. In addition, I now had the TV I’d received for my birthday. I flipped it on to WXIX Channel 19 and reruns of Gilligan’s Island and Green Acres played in the background while I read. I had to get my mind clear for the final exams that...

After her mom left for work, Kara gave me a fierce kiss. “Thanks for staying in and cooking breakfast for us,” Kara said. “I hope that doesn’t cause you trouble with Stephanie, with you breaking your normal routine.” “Don’t worry about it,” I said, kissing her back. “We got in a bit later than I expected, and she’ll...

A WellLived Life Book 8 StephieChapter 36 My Lifes Journey

July, 1983, Chicago, Illinois I woke up early on the First of July, because my body clock was still set to Swedish time. The flight back had been long but uneventful, and I was happy that the businessman in the seat next to me hadn’t wanted to talk. I read, wrote some longhand journal entries, ate, and generally relaxed while the plane zipped over the Atlantic. I’d come home, taken a sauna, eaten a light meal, and gone straight to bed, not bothering to check messages, look at the mail that...

Kara and I had lunch together at IIT, Sofia practiced her driving and parking, and I hung out with Mark Agnini after class for beers. Staci and I got into a couple of interesting debates about the Old Testament that Mark had to break up to allow others in the class to participate. She was very much of the ‘directly...

A WellLived Life 3 Book 1 SuzanneChapter 7 Reaching the Peak

March 25, 2000, Chicago, Illinois “What time do I need to have you home?” “8:00pm will be fine,” Misty replied. “My parents are in Normal visiting my brother at Illinois State. They aren’t supposed to be home before 10:00pm.” Misty and I were in my car on the way to the NIKA apartment which, fortunately, was not being used. With our expansion, it was in more or less regular use, and that meant I didn’t have access to it as often as I would have liked. I was glad there had been a delay in...

Sins from my Stepmother Book 1 Ch 15

I My name is Teddy Carlson. I’m twenty-two years old and I fucked my stepmother. Not just once in some momentary lapse of judgement. But again and again…and again. Before you judge me, there’s a few things you need to understand. First, Dad and I never exactly got on like a house on fire. He was the CIO of a large hedge fund which meant that he wasn’t around much. He travelled to Europe regularly and commuted during the week to Manhattan for meetings. When he was home, he was either...

A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 7 Setting the Course of My Life

June 1977 Friday ended up being a non-event. The more I thought about it, the more I was sure that there was no way on this earth I could say what happened between Birgit and me was a sin. Calling it a sin would debase it into a meaningless act. I could never do that. And the more I thought about Jennie McGrath, the more sure I was that I couldn’t call what she did for me a sin, either. If the church was right, I was going to hell. And frankly, there was no way that could be true. So I...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 20 It Happened One Night

January 17, 1989, Chicago, Illinois “What time do you have to leave this morning?” Kara asked as we showered together on Tuesday morning. “About 8:30am,” I said. “I’m driving over to get Jeri, then heading to O’Hare. We have an 11:00am flight. Assuming all goes well, we’ll be in the office by 3:00pm Pacific time. We’ll spend a couple hours going over the software then go to dinner. The demo is tomorrow. Our flight back on Thursday leaves LA at 11:00am, so we’ll be home by 8:00pm, I...

May 14, 1997, Chicago, Illinois “Start talking!” Melanie demanded when I sat down in her office about an hour later. “There isn’t much to say. Katya found the information for me when I asked her to look into several things about Brandon Littleton, Kevin Lomax, and John Milton.” “Do you know more about him?” “A LOT more. I don’t think you want to know.” “Probably not, but I’m your criminal defense attorney, and even though San Antonio doesn’t have you involved in this, you know the CPD...

The Three Signs Book 2 LoriChapter 28 Live at the Lifesaver

“So, how should we do these Stone’s songs?” Phil asked at our rehearsal session. “I think we all know the music, we just need to come up with a pretty awesome arrangement; we don’t want to sound like yet another cheap cover band.” “I had some ideas, if it’s okay for me to make some suggestions,” Allison said. “Of course it is,” Phil said. “Everyone can have a say, there’s no rule that says you can’t participate in the discussion.” “Thanks, Phil, I guess being the newest here, I’m a bit...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 5 MichelleChapter 77 Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous Part I

May 11, 1992, Chicago, Illinois Monday was turning out to be a LONG day. After my run and talk with Gina, and my talk with Elyse, I had a full day at the office scheduled. First was our leadership meeting in the morning, and then I had status meetings with each team. At lunch I’d gone to see Siobhán and explained that I was going to break off the sexual relationship, but that I wanted to remain friends. She was disappointed, but admitted that Thursday would have been the last time, since she...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 23 So Now You Turn Back Into Diana Prince

January 19, 1989, En-Route from LAX to ORD When the engines of the plane started, Jeri reached over and took my hand. She held it while we pushed away from the gate, and taxied for takeoff. Her grip tightened a bit as we hurtled down the runway, but nothing like the death grip she’d had on my arm for the flight out. The plane roared its way into the air and once we leveled out, Jeri’s grip loosened but she didn’t let go of my hand. “How are you doing?” I asked with a touch of...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 16 A Southern Belle a Surprise Proposal two Cheerleaders an Old Flame and a Girl Back Home Part I

October 1981, Chicago, Illinois I went to my room, closed the door and dialed my old number in Milford and Stephanie answered. “Hi, Stephanie!” “Hey, Big Bro! How’s Chicago?” “Pretty good. A lot of stuff is happening. But I have a favor to ask. Well, really, it’s a favor from Ed. I’m coming home this weekend and I was wondering if I could borrow the keys to the apartment.” “You and Kara? On Saturday? I’m sure the answer is yes. Where are you staying?” “I was going to call Mrs. Spencer...

A WellLived Life Book 7 Kara IIChapter 34 Old Routines and New Ideas

September 1982, Chicago, Illinois The weekend was quiet and besides homework, I worked on the program changes for Frank, called Karin, Tatyana, and Kara, and hung out with my usual study group. Monday was refreshingly normal. On Tuesday morning, I handed Katy my completed intake form. She put it in an envelope and stuck it in her bag. She said she’d let me know soon about the interview. On Tuesday afternoon, after having lunch with Stephie, I made my rounds and then I headed over to Sigma...

October 1982, Chicago, Illinois The drive back to Chicago was as uneventful as usual, and I arrived at the apartment just before 6:00pm. When I arrived, Elyse and Stephie were sitting on the couch and Jackie was sitting on the loveseat. Stephie hopped up as I opened the door and greeted me with a hug and a kiss. “Hi, Peaches!” I said. “Glad you’re home, Yankee!” “Hi, Steve,” Elyse and Jackie both said. “Hey,” I replied. “How was the weekend?” “Well, it was just Kurt with me, Stephie,...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 6 SamanthaChapter 20 Get Thee to a Nunnery

September 4, 1992, Chicago, Illinois “These are really interesting pieces,” I said to Siobhán. Kimmy, Elyse, and I were reviewing the two completed pieces that she’d done as examples of what the series would look like. “You don’t like them?” Siobhán asked pensively. “No, I do! Why would you think I didn’t?” “Usually when someone says ‘interesting’ about abstract art it means they don’t like it.” “Sorry, in this case I meant it. Maybe ‘intriguing’ would have been a better word.” She...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 8 NIKAChapter 68 The Rules

June 29, 1995, Chicago, Illinois On Thursday, I finally had lunch with Melissa again, something I hadn’t been looking forward to. Much like with Cèlia, Melissa and I had passed an inflection point and I was left with sub-optimal paths forward. I’d been struggling with the possible solutions, and all of them had pitfalls. When I walked into Takumi, I had something of a plan. Whether it was good or not would only be known once everything played out. “I spoke to my wives,” I said after we’d...

A WellLived Life 2 Book 3 JessicaChapter 52 Lifestyle Choices

June 11, 1989, Chicago, Illinois It was just after 3:00am when I kissed Trish goodbye. She’d been an enthusiastic, energetic, and adventurous lover. We’d done just about anything either of us could think of, though her breasts weren’t large enough for a tit-fuck. The last time had been in the shower where we’d ostensibly gone to clean up afterwards, but instead I ended up taking her from behind as she leaned against the wall of the shower. “I think I’ll have you again, Steve Adams,” she...

A WellLived Life Book 1 BirgitChapter 38 Freshman Year Ends

May 1978 The first couple of weeks in May were busy with school, work, and friends. Except for Becky, I didn’t even have any dates. But I was OK with that. Well, almost OK. I wanted to see Anna, but it likely wasn’t going to happen until school was out. I had tutoring sessions with Melanie, but she still wouldn’t talk to me about anything other than Spanish. Barely a hello. I was grateful for the tutoring, but it was maddening seeing my friend this way. I hoped someday she could understand...

A WellLived Life Book 6 Kara IChapter 44 Spring Break 1982 Part I

March, 1982, Milford, Ohio As I drove along I-65, I thought about what Stephanie had asked for and what Bethany had said without even knowing about the request. Of course, because Bethany and I were so in tune, she might have actually had an idea that I was struggling with getting involved with my sister again. I kept turning it over and over in my mind and I kept coming to the same conclusion — that I shouldn’t do it. I was torn between doing what Stephanie wanted and doing what Kara and...

September 7, 1992, Chicago, Illinois “That went reasonably well,” Michelle said when her parents drove off. “There were a few times I thought my expression would give away something I shouldn’t. You were messing with me, weren’t you?” She grabbed both my hands and smiled, “I was telling the truth, in my own way. Thank you!” She leaned forward and kissed my cheek. “So, what’s left?” I asked. “To visit UofC tomorrow and formally withdraw from classes. To spend some time with you and your...

August 15, 2000, Chicago, Illinois “Whoa!” Cynthia declared, as she turned the pages in The New Joy of Sex. “All these positions! I want to try them!” She was paging through the section of the book which had lots of illustrations. “Wait!” she gasped, as she turned the page. “Bondage? Whoa! He has her tied to the bed!” “That might be fun,” I grinned. “And then I can tie YOU to the bed?” she asked with a silly smirk. “I suppose turn-about is fair play.” “And threesomes?” “That might not...

The waiter showed us to a quiet table along the wall of Roditys in Greektown. He took our drink orders and was back quickly. We placed our food orders right away and he left to put them in with the kitchen. “I’m not quite sure how to address this, so I’m just going to ask you bluntly. March 1980, Hovås/Göteborg, Sweden I woke early as usual, but just enjoyed being in bed with Katt. When she woke, she hopped out of bed and pulled a robe out of her closet and handed it to me. “There’s a spare toothbrush in the bathroom. Go have your shower, then we’ll have breakfast after I have my shower.” I quickly showered and brushed my teeth, and went back to Katt’s room. She went to shower and came back a few minutes later. A WellLived Life Book 8 StephieChapter 61 Anala Part II

August, 1983, Chicago, Illinois I walked in the near 90°F heat to Carla’s place. I was grateful that the humidity of the morning had dropped significantly; otherwise the heat would have been unbearable. By the time I walked up the steps to the apartment over the photography studio and knocked on her door, I had broken into a light sweat. Carla answered almost immediately and invited me inside her studio apartment. The air was moderately cool, and the window air conditioner was running full...
